- "Super cute little cottage in Manteo! This was our first time not staying oceanfront but this little town didn’t disappoint. We still spent most of our time at the beach and found the closest public beach access to be about 15 minutes away which isn’t terrible. It was within close proximity to nags head as well so we didn’t have to drive far for eating out/shopping. My only complaint is that there’s no TV in the bedroom and the TV in the living room only picked up a few channels, and the pillows were a little uncomfy. Otherwise was an excellent stay in a super cute location and would definitely recommend/stay here again!"

Nicely equipped kitchenette includes small refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, Keurig coffee maker. Eating area comfortably seats two adults. Outdoor gas grill. Waterfront deck access with gorgeous views. Ideal space for vacationing adults 25 years and older. No pets please. The apartment has a separate and dedicated entrance with guest parking. Excellent couples getaway.

I enjoyed some me-time browsing the independent shops and art galleries across the street. Our room was peaceful, clean, beautiful and roomy enough for two adults and two teenagers. We felt like we were lounging at home rather than a "hotel". The staff was just amazing! Very friendly and helpful! The lobby and restaurant area of the Inn were very relaxing with amazing marina views. We will return at first chance! The Tranquil House Inn was great for our family of four, but also perfect for a couples get-a-way or a rejuvenating solo retreat for mom!"

This room offers:
• Private room with 2 Queen beds.
• Private bathroom with fresh linens!
• Cable TV, WIFI.
• 2 night minimum stay required.
• No smoking allowed in room. Guests who smoke or use vapor type devices in rooms will be charged an additional $200 fee for cleaning and restoration.
• No tenant pets allowed. Any concealed pets will result in immediate eviction without refund and at the hotel's discretion additional costs for cleaning.
• A valid credit card is required for all stays.
• All reservations made more than 5 days prior to arrival require payment of 1/2 of rent, hotel reservation fee, and applicable tax on those amounts at time of booking; remainder due 5 days prior to arrival. All reservations made within 5 days of arrival must be fully paid at the time of booking.

- "We were passing through and stayed in Manteo for the night at Tranquil House In n, which is right on the water. The hotel is a little older but they have really cared for the property well. The office staff was super helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer and visited all the shops and restaurants. We did have time to see The Lost Colony in their outdoor amphitheater. From the costumes to the music this was such a well done performance!"
