We especially appreciated the breakfast and the daily happy hour. The beds are comfortable but the wifi is pretty bad, which I understand is a problem all over the area so that was ok. We really felt good about being there under the new owners, who were really kind people. We had a minor issue with our room and mentioned to the owners and their response was even better than we thought. - "Super cute little cottage in Manteo! This was our first time not staying oceanfront but this little town didn’t disappoint. We still spent most of our time at the beach and found the closest public beach access to be about 15 minutes away which isn’t terrible. It was within close proximity to nags head as well so we didn’t have to drive far for eating out/shopping. My only complaint is that there’s no TV in the bedroom and the TV in the living room only picked up a few channels, and the pillows were a little uncomfy. Otherwise was an excellent stay in a super cute location and would definitely recommend/stay here again!"

-Our full kitchen enables you to cook meals when you would otherwise have to dine out. The average traveler spends approximately $45/day dining out, which can add up to significant savings for a week long stay!
-Reel Escape is larger than a typical hotel room and has more privacy. With a separate living room, porch, bedroom, and kitchen - there is plenty of room to spread out during your stay.
-We have a washer and dryer inside our unit and even provide laundry detergent for your convenience! (Anyone else hate using the same dirty beach towel for an entire week?)
-Hotels typically have basic cable and charge big fees for any additional entertainment. At Reel Escape, we have an extended cable package as well as a Smart TV with a complimentary Netflix subscription.
-Amenities! No hotel in the Outer Banks offers the type of amenities that Pirates Cove Resort does. This one bedroom suite with separate living room is located as part of a historic home built in 1901 in the town of Manteo with a little bit of everything for you to enjoy. This spacious property with its own porch and entrance. There is one king size bed, a complete tile bathroom with a walk-in shower and a relaxing living room for watching a movie or catching up on emails. The coastal decor and tranquility of the garden will relax you the whole time you're here. The porch is located next to a spacious back yard with a folly for your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. There are lots of locally owned restaurants in the area for your dining pleasure. The unit's kitchenette consists of a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Downtown Manteo is home to Outer Banks Distillery, Ortegas Southwest Grill, The Avenue Grill, Olives, Poor Richards, Old Town Creamery, Front Porch, Charis Coffee Shop and The Pioneer Theater with a nightly showing at 8pm. Watch the anglers coming in from a long day of fishing or fine dining at the Restaurant in the building. Elevator allows easy access to condo.

We call her the recycle house because we took an old storage shed which once sat on cinder blocks and located next to the main home and converted into this vacation home. Many of the materials were left over remnants from our construction jobs.

You can access all areas of the condo except locked owner's closets and storage.

Boat trailers CANNOT be stored on-site. Pirate's Cove security staff can direct you to off-site trailer parking at check-in. The marina has information about the off-site lot that you can use for a fee. Reservations for that lot are available in advance. Boat owners please read details about bringing a boat.
Other things to note
We are dog-friendly for non-shedding hypoallergenic breeds. Due to allergies, we can ONLY accept these types of dog breeds. ALL dogs must be discussed and approved in advance. Pet fee is a flat $125. Dogs must be up to date on flea meds, rabies vaccines and must be kept on a leash on the common grounds of the resort at all times.

The pool and hot tub are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Fitness center, playground, and tennis courts are open year-round.

The fireplace is NOT available for guest use at this time.

Guests must walk up stairs to access the unit. Our building does not have an elevator. However, we are on the first level.

Guests visiting from Memorial Day to Labor Day must fill out a registration form prior to check-in, per resort rules.

You may be asked to sign a separate lease agreement as a condition of your reservation.

We provide guests with the first roll of toilet paper and paper towels on arrival. Guests are responsible for additional needs.

BOAT OWNERS AND GUESTS BRINGING BOATS - PLEASE READ.
*We do have a slip available for renters for an additional fee of $150 per stay. *Maximum boast length is 25' for the use of the condo's slip. If you are bringing a boat and want to use the slip, you MUST let us know ahead of time.
*All vessels must fit within the designated slip location and not exceed a 15’ beam restriction. Please keep all excess lines/cords neatly coiled or looped aroundthe piling and do not obstruct the dock surface.
*We do NOT have parking for the boat trailer. Contact the Marina for information about off-site trailer storage.
*ALL OF THE WATERWAYS WITHIN PIRATE’S COVE ARE NO WAKE ZONES. This is very important due to the erosion of the canal shoreline and potential damage to other vessels. Fish and Wildlife Enforcement/Coast Guard will be patrolling and offenders will be ticketed. If a renter/guest is
issued a ticket for No Wake by Fish and Wildlife/Coast Guard in violation of the No Wake rule, management reserves the right to ask the renter/guest to
remove the vessel immediately.
*All guests are required to register their vessel upon arrival and obtain a decal from the Front Gate, which must be displayed in a highly
visible area on the vessel.
*The dock surface is not to be used to clean fish. There are fish cleaning stations located at the marina.

Shallowbag Bay Marina is a 75-slip marina located just off the intercoastal waterway in North Carolina's wonderful Outer Banks. The Outer Banks recreational area is one of the fastest growing coastal areas in the United States. The Outer Banks is characterized by barrier islands, natural beaches, sand dunes and beautiful marsh land areas.

The Catamaran Cruiser includes all of the bare necessities one needs and all the comforts to give you that home away from home feeling...including an outdoor charcoal grill within the community!!

I think each unit should have 1 reserved spot so you always have a place to park. I was told each unit was aloud 2 cars and there is not enough parking for that. Why Knot invites you to experience all that the Outer Banks (OBX) has to offer. This beautifully decorated two-bedroom, two-bath condo is situated in a second floor condo unit with elevator access, at Pirate's Cove Resort, providing stunning views of both the Sound and canal front. The open floor plan is designed to maximize these scenic vistas from the living room, bedroom, kitchen, and dining areas.

Recent Renovations and Amenities
Our home away from home was recently renovated in 2022, featuring new living room and deck furniture, a 65” Smart TV (no cable), all stainless-steel kitchen appliances, and a dining room table with high top chairs. Each bedroom is equipped with its own Smart TV, and a Keurig is available for your favorite coffee or tea.

Bedrooms and Bath
The sound-front Master bedroom features a King bed and an en-suite bath for added privacy and comfort. Bedroom #2 looks towards Rudder Canal and is furnished with a Queen bed. The condo comfortably sleeps up to four guests.

Boating and Parking
A free boat launch is conveniently located near Pirate's Cove, and off-site trailer parking is available for a nominal fee. Dock slips can also be coordinated with the Pirates Cove Realty Office for interested guests at an additional cost.

Rental Availability and Booking Policies
Why Knot is available for rental year-round. During peak season, from June 6th to August 15th, weekly Saturday-to-Saturday bookings are required to ensure guests make the most of their summer escape. Outside of these dates, guests may enjoy flexible booking options, including a two-night minimum stay, with certain holiday weekends subject to a three-night minimum. [A three-night minimum stay applies to holiday weekends, including Easter (April 3–6), Memorial Day (May 22–25), Labor Day (September 4–7),
Thanksgiving (November 26–29), Christmas (December 24–27), and New Year's (December 31–January 3). We look forward to welcoming you whenever you choose to visit!]

Pirate's Cove Community Features
Pirate's Cove is a gated community offering a wide range of amenities: a community pool, tennis and pickleball courts, clubhouse, fitness center, sand volleyball and basketball courts, outdoor pavilion, and 4.2 miles of lighted dock. All amenities are within walking distance from the centrally located condo, with elevator access to our condo right outside the door.

Dining, Activities, and Local Attractions
Onsite, you'll find the Bluewater Bar and Grille and Mimi Tiki Hut just a few minutes' walk away, along with the Ships Store and the world-class Pirate's Cove Marina, which offers charters for offshore/inshore fishing and sightseeing tours. The community is golf cart-friendly, perfect for bike rides, and guests can fish and crab right from the docks.

The space
The Easy Times is a 44ft boat with spacious living area . There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Capt quarters has a king bed and full compact bathroom. The 2nd sleeping quarters has a custom bed sleeps 2 but please note not full reg mattress but custom to space. There is a 1/2 bathroom connected to 2nd BR. Living room does have pull out sofa as well. Fully equipped kitchen. Large smart tv in LR. Multiple decks and covered seating areas with amazing views.

Guest access
While the boat is private to guests, there are public amenities as well. Large Marina bath house with showers and toilet facilities. (encourage to use these for long showers and private restrooms, the tanks on the boat are "marine size") There is also a nice community pool, gym and local favorite restaurant. Located next to the boat slip is a gazebo and picnic table with front row seating to Shallowbag bay. If that's not enough two complimentary kayaks and discounted Restaurant certificates to one of our famous local spots Sugar Creek Restaurant are included.

Please note shared amenities are managed by condo owners and association not your host. Pool open in season only. Restaurant and Marina store hours are posted and subject to change.

Free parking but not directly behind boat due to amazing location of boat. Tides change which effects boarding the boat there is a ramp for fluctuating tide.

Holding tank on boat is minimum, while running water, toilets, hot showers are provided on vessel the Marina bath house is preferred for longer showers and other toilet needs.

This vessel does not leave the boat slip during your stay. If considering a fishing trip, sunset cruise, or just a boat ride reach out to host for arrangement of a charter with our sister boat.
