Summerset Place - Southern Shores is located in the beautiful Maritime forest. We made our guest suite into a relaxing getaway with the use of the entire deck area with a shaded gazebo to relax under while listening to the birds. You will enjoy a cozy 4 room suite that is locked off from the main house, all the comforts of home. There will also be 2 bikes & 2 beach chairs for your use. The beach is slightly over 1 mile away. We live in the main house with our recuse dog Shep

The space
Summerset Place has all the comforts of home. Once you go through the entrance you will enter the den area with lots of natural light and a comfortable loveseat while watching TV. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, toaster oven, MW and Keurig Coffee maker. All dishes/cultery/glassware provided. There is not a cooktop or range oven but there is an outside grill for you to use.
Queen size bed with a soft top mattress for a good nights sleep.
Bathroom has a large vanity and a tub shower combo.
And starter toilet paper, shampoo, hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, dish towel, towels and linens.

Arrival & Parking: Parking is for 1 car only. We have motion lights, if you come in after dark to light up the gravel pathway leading to the steps going up to your private entrance. You will receive a code to your keyless entry the day before or day of arrival.

This 1 bedroom stand alone apt is incredible, its tucked into a unique space thats totally private yet close to all the northern Outer Banks has to offer. It has two large decks and 1 has views of the ocean. Follow the grass driveway to the street and walk 100ft to the ocean. You will not find a more well thought out space for 2 people than this spot.

*There may be some construction noise during the day next door at the main house for the last two weeks of June and first week of July.

During your stay you will be provided with a Southern Shores pass which allows you access to all Southern Shores beach accesses, including the Hillcrest Drive beach parking area. This site has 2 showers, toilets, a gazebo, benches and a viewing platform. Southern Shores beaches are nice and big. Since you need to have a parking pass to access these beaches, there are days it is like your own private beach! You can also use this pass to access one of the three marinas, so feel free to bring your boat!

The Cypress Moon Inn is a quiet place away from the crowd. There is great wildlife viewing here, especially the Birdwatching. The interaction of the shore and the forest makes for excellent birdwatching. You can spot anything from a Hummingbird to a Bald Eagle. There are several species of Woodpeckers to be seen including a large population of Pileated Woodpeckers. The Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Reserve is adjacent with trails for hiking and biking. The nature enthusiast will enjoy this Maritime Forest Environment. Our neighborhood is mostly in a natural state with only a few year round residents. We opened for business in 2000.

We also have a pier that goes out to the Sound for your use. From there you may access the clean shallow sandy bottom waters of The Sound with our kayaks and paddle board which are included. Bicycles are also included

Our 600-square foot guesthouse apartment, nicely situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, provides ample privacy and offers a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table for two, and a living room with two recliners and a 35-inch Samsung smart TV. There is a separate bedroom with a queen-size bed, 2-nightstands, 2-closets, 2-luggage stands, and 2-slipper chairs. There is a full bathroom with a fully tiled step-in shower! There is an additional outdoor shower just outside the entrance door! 🌞🏖👣

Our guesthouse apartment is located behind our home with it's own private access and is situated far enough apart to afford you personal space and privacy during your stay. Additionally, there are huge Live Oak trees that serve as a nice buffer between the guesthouse and the main house!

We will respect your space and privacy during your stay, but please note that there is a utility room and workshop located beneath the apartment with an access door at the rear of the building that you may see us occasionally entering/exiting. However, no activity will take place in the workshop while there are guests staying in the guesthouse.

The space
Welcome to your stay with two reserved parking areas, a private front deck, your own outdoor shower and seating area.

Entering your private entrance, the spacious downstairs open area features the living room with a comfy sectional and TV. Opening into the dining area, with dining table and a full kitchen. Also downstairs is a large half bath with laundry area.

Up the split stairs with a landing is the hallway to the two bedrooms. Both bedrooms feature a lofted ceiling, queen bed, dresser, nightstand, and small seating area. Attached to each bedroom is a large office and workspace area with a desk, closet space with hangers and storage to unpack your suitcases. The upstairs bathroom is a full Jack and Jill with two entrances and a bath/shower combo.

The pool area is shared and there is an assortment of beach chairs and umbrellas available for guests to borrow.

There is a second parking space for Woods & Waves at the foot of the driveway, near the pool entrance.

Please ONLY use this pool entrance to enter/exit the pool area. The other is a private gate for our Carolina Cabana guests. Thank you!

Located on a quiet residential street, yet near all major attractions, this Airbnb is perfect for those looking to relax at the beach. It's only an 8-minute walk (2-minute car ride) to the sand and surf! Enjoy fantastic restaurants in Duck, wild mustangs in Corolla, golf in Kitty Hawk, kayaking in Nags Head, horseback riding in Frisco, and so much more.

Owl’s Landing sits high on a dune, with a private second-level entrance (with keyless entry) that opens to a spacious living room and kitchenette. Notable amenities include 60” Smart TV, cable, Wi-Fi, full-size refrigerator (with refreshments), coffee maker (with coffee/tea), microwave, toaster, toaster oven, towels, and paper products, as well as dish/silver/glassware, and a dish washer!

For maximum comfort and convenience during your stay, there’s a king-size bed, solar black-out shades throughout, walk-in closet, washer/dryer, clothes iron (upon request), luggage rack, clock, and full-length mirror. The granite and tile bathroom has all the essentials – towels, tissues, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, you name it! Also available are books, magazines, games, playing cards, and over 80 DVDs.

You'll have access to the guest house (upper level) and garage (where beach items are stored), as well as the deck outside the front door (with picnic table, benches, and umbrella). You'll welcome the green oasis on the ground level, complete with table, benches, hammock, foot wash station, and outdoor shower.

Other things to note
- Our guests have a dedicated parking spot at the top of the driveway, in front of the porch swing.
- Note that a Ring floodlight/security camera is directed toward the driveway. A Ring doorbell camera is located at the main house's front door, which is not visible from the driveway or guesthouse. There are no other security devices located on the property.
- We provide a Southern Shores parking pass. It must be returned, otherwise a $50 replacement fee applies.
- Entry to the guesthouse and garage is via the keyless touchpad; we'll provide you with the codes prior to your arrival.
- All beach-related items (chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc.) are in the garage.
- For the golfers out there, don't forget to ask us about special guest rates at Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk.
- This is a non-smoking, pet-free guest house. An additional $150 cleaning fee will be charged to those that use smoke-masking deodorizer and/or perfume, or cologne.
- There will be no discounts if an insect is encountered. That said, you may see ants, spiders, water bugs, dragonflies, mosquitos, and bees, as well as lizards, birds (Southern Shores is a bird sanctuary), deer, possums, you name it. To ensure insects do not enter the guest house, we urge everyone to keep the guest house door closed at all times. In the evenings, keeping the porch lights turned off also helps. We have party lights on the lower level that come on at night, but do not attract bugs. However, the door lights will.

Guest access
During your stay, you will have exclusive access to the entire tiny home, as well as a screened porch and private outdoor space. Please note that the tiny home is separate from our main house, although we are right next door should you need any assistance or recommendations. Your screened porch is separated from ours by a private yard, and to ensure maximum privacy, we have installed curtains in both porches. Although we respect your space, it's important to note that if we are outside, we may be able to hear each other.

Other things to note
** The house has plenty of windows with light-filtering shades that offer privacy while allowing mild light to come in. However, there are two high, long horizontal windows that don't have shades: one is located above the bed, and the other is above the stairs, visible from the bed. Although the morning sun doesn't shine directly through these windows, if you prefer a completely dark sleeping environment, it's recommended that you bring your favorite sleeping mask. On the other hand, if you enjoy waking up to natural light, you'll love staying here. Let the gentle morning light be part of your experience.

**We can only accommodate two adults in the house, and it is not suitable for children or infants.

**We want to emphasize that smoking of any kind or vaping is not allowed on our property, including outside areas. This policy is in place for the consideration of our neighbors, future guests, and our own personal comfort as we reside right next door.

**Our neighborhood is home to friendly and welcoming full-time residents, and we're confident you'll enjoy exploring the area.

**If you're heading to the beach, a quick traffic light crossing will take you there in just five minutes by bike. Alternatively, it's approximately a 12 minute walk. If walking or biking isn't your thing, our nearest beach access is located right next to the end of Kitty Hawk Road and offers ample parking for 50 cars plus two handicap spaces. There are also restrooms and showers available for your convenience. For the best sunsets, head to the sound and multi-use path, which is even closer than the beach. It's a beautiful and extensive path that's perfect for walks and bike rides.

**We ask that you sign a liability waiver if you'd like to use the bikes (beach cruisers). You'll find the waiver at the house when you check-in**

**Additional cleaning due to violations of our strict no-smoking (of any kind) policy will result in an extra $300 cleaning fee. This encompasses tasks such as deodorizing the premises and removing cigarette butts from the property.**

The space

Nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by majestic live oak trees, we're located less than a mile from the beach and a stroll away from captivating soundfront sunsets. The first floor boasts an inviting open-concept living area featuring a pull-out queen sofa, a well-equipped kitchen, and a convenient bathroom. Ascend the stairs to find a cozy king bed and a half bath, complete with blackout curtains ensuring a restful sleep and optimal privacy. Please note that our family's residence is also on the premises, accompanied by two affectionate labs (and occasionally, two loving children).

Parking is available for up to two cars, and we extend an invitation to our guests to enjoy access to our saltwater pool. Additional amenities include:

The space
Your space: entire upper level of home with private access front or back 2nd level entry. Four bedrooms~2 each side with full bath between. King & twin beds have a JacknJill bath. Twin beds can easily convert to king. Opposite side has hallway with barn door 2 bedrooms king & queen with bath off hall between bedrooms, Hotel cotton sheets, towels & beach towels included. Fully stocked kitchen. Huge front porch~hear the ocean on stormy nights & watch the deer & birds from back screened poach. Outside shower, carport with grill, beach chairs & wagon & large wooded yard to enjoy!

Tenants live below & have 2 small dogs.

Guest access
Access to entire upper level, outdoor shower, lower deck with seating & hammock, gas grill/carport & yard. Can access at back entry at top of stairs only through screened porch. Park up to 2 cars on left of driveway pulling up to back of house close to car port. Please advise if 3rd vehicle.
Tenants live in apartment below & will park to the right in front of garage. Please do not block them in. Lower back covered porch is tenants space including hot tub.

Other things to note
House located in peaceful neighborhood! Suited for 2 small families, couples, friends. 4-6 is most ideal! Not a party house. Maximum guests 8. Only 1 dog allowed. Please provide breed. Must be 25 to book!

2 parking spaces available. Advise in advance if a 3rd one is needed. Park on left side in back of home close to car port. There is a small turn space to back into halfway down driveway. You can access back entry at 2nd level only…go through screened porch to access. Code provided day of.

Beach chairs, wagons & beach towels provided & located under carport.

Tenants live in apartment below. Please be respectful. They have 2 small dogs. Driveway is shared. They park on right side of driveway.
