There are pictures of it in the pics and it's not how it looks in the pocs- its just a place where trash was thrown and there's trash stacked on top of the sinks etc so you can't use any of that area. There is no gas grill, just a rusty charcoal one among the junk at the building. It says private walk to the beach- not true. You are about a one mile walk from the beach across busy roads, mostly without sidewalks. Not a Walk that I wanted to make with 2 adults 2 kids and a dog. It says on site snorkeling and hunting in the description. Unless you're driveway snorkeling I don't see how that's possible. And the pics of a swing next to what looks like a lake- no idea where that came from. Never saw it. So yes the house itself is nice but the location is very misleading on many different levels. The beach is nowhere to be seen without a drive to it. And the fenced in backyard is very small and the junky building inside it full of trash with rusty items etc should've been cleaned up long ago. My only downfall because was the microwave was down in the other side of the motel so, I had to do the walk of shame with my chips and queso. But, I loved that it was not a huge touristy town. It was just simply blissful for me. And, walking distance to 2 bars right next door. Just be careful you may be the youngest in the whole bar. I couldn’t be happier. "

Nestled in the quiet woods on Oak Island and within street view of the Intracoastal Waterway, Snapper Cottage offers a spacious layout to make your visit as easy, comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Relax on the platform deck under the Oak tree draped in Spanish Moss, or take an afternoon nap on the screened-in back porch. At night, when it's quiet on the island, you can hear the ocean waves in the distance and see millions of stars in the darkness.
The living room, dining area and kitchen have an open floor plan. We have a large Smart TV with a DVD player, which allows streaming. Just bring your passcodes! We also have with several family friendly movies in our DVD library. If you need to work, there's also a small desk for your use.
The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare, cook and serve meals. Included in the kitchen: Refrigerator, glass top cooking stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, food processor, and blender. We have stainless steel pots and pans, pyrex baking and serving dishes, serving utensils, knives and cutting boards, a knife sharpener, whisks, spatulas, stirring spoons, spatulas, a colander, salad spinner, corkscrew and a bottle cap opener. There are plenty of plates, bowls, cups, glasses, wine glasses, and silverware.
There are two bedrooms, both with memory foam mattresses. We provide sheets, pillows, and quilts. The two beds in the bedrooms will be made up when you get here. Both bedrooms have king sized beds.
The sleeper sofa in the living room opens up to a queen size bed, and the cot is twin sized. Sheets, blankets and extra pillows for the sofa bed and twin cot are stored in the Captain's bedroom closet.
Both bathrooms are full baths, with a shower and a tub. There is a HE washing machine and dryer in the closet in the hallway. We also provide a set of bath towels and a beach towel for each guest. There are also extra towels in the hall closet for your dog.
Your dogs will love our fenced in backyard, and you'll love the ease of letting them out. We kindly ask that you to clean up your dog's solid waste, along with a $50 pet fee for each dog.
We strive to keep the cottage clean and fresh for everyone who visits-including for our guests without dogs.
We provide a small supply of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and laundry detergent for your stay. We also offer a high chair, booster seat, and step stool for the little ones, along with plenty of games and books.
We are located less than a quarter mile from the 14th St NE Veteran's Park on Yacht Drive, which is a great place to have a picnic or to go fishing. There is a small gazebo where you and several others can get out of the sun and relax on the benches. From spring to fall you'll love watching the ships, sailboats, and fishing boats go by. If you're lucky you might spot the occasional dolphin swimming, or possibly one of the smaller cruise ships.
Of course, there's the beach. It's a 0.9 mile walk through the nature trail to reach the closest beach access on foot, or a 1.4 mile drive to the closest beach access by car.
Don't overlook going through the nature trail over the marshes and Davis Canal. It may be your favorite walk ever! This area has one of the most scenic nature spots on the island, and you can only see it on foot or by small boat. Davis Canal is a fantastic place for watching sunrises and sunsets, along with spotting birds such as pelicans, hawks, cranes and great blue Herons. The water bridge trail cuts straight through and over the marshes of the brackish Davis Canal, between two rows of beach houses and ending at the 9th Place beach access.

You will find an open floor plan and plenty of light. The simple but comfy living room sofas invite you to sit down for a while. Relax under the cooling breezes of the palm-bladed ceiling fan. Pick up and read one of the books on the North Carolina coast.

In the spotless kitchen, you will find updated lighting and a ceramic tiled floor. The cupboards are packed full of dishes, cookware, small appliances, and glasses. As we love to cook you will find everything is provided for you to cook delicious vacation meals. Alternatively, a list of my favorite restaurants and menus are provided if you decide to not cook during your stay.

Open the sliding glass doors and walk into the pleasing screened porch. It's the perfect place to sip your morning coffee, enjoy an evening drink or read a book curled up on a chair on a rainy day, listening to the storm outside. The porch offers views of the sand garden and planted flowering beds with handmade ceramic sculptures. On the concrete patio, you will find a dining table to enjoy meals al fresco. An outdoor shower fed from the garden hose is available for a quick rinse of the ocean water.

Back inside walk down the hallway where the laundry room sits behind folding doors. The primary bedroom is light and airy with contemporary design furniture. The queen-size bed is comfortable and ensures a restful night's sleep, dreaming of waves and sand. Off the primary bedroom is the ensuite bath; it is well lit, clean, and fresh. Two simple twin beds are in the second bedroom with wall-mounted reading lights overhead. A modern maple dresser and mirror complete the room. The second bathroom is simple and clean with a tiled floor. All linens are provided for your stay including two sets of bath towels for each guest. Cleaning supplies are also provided for your use.

Carolina Tides is a modern, two-bedroom, two-bath beach villa located on Oak Island NC. We have a well-supplied kitchen, cable TV, WiFi, washer / dryer, direct beach access, seasonal swimming pool & hot tub (seasonal, April 15 thru October 15), elevator, free parking and much more. This villa is an end-unit on the quiet side with lots of natural light. Our complex is in the perfect "vacation location", directly across from the Yaupon Beach Fishing Pier, Koko Cabana bar and restaurant, Ruby's coffee shop, and the Lazy Turtle Bar and Grille just a block away. Also, less than a mile to the East is Oak Island Golf Club and their new Duffer's Pub and Grille. Enjoy palm trees and ocean views right from your porch. There is also a shared outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. Oak Island Lighthouse is about a three mile walk along the beach to the East. Just off the island is the beautiful and historic town of Southport, NC.

1) Our HOA prohibits boats, trailers and golf carts on the property. We apologize if this is an issue but we are unable to accommodate any type of trailer.

Our island cottage is perfectly placed under a canopy of magnificent live oaks, just steps away from the ocean. Nestled on a quiet beach access street, central to all the best attractions, shopping and eateries on Oak Island; close to nearby Southport. Public sidewalks along E Oak Island Drive make it easy to walk or bike to your favorite spots.

Our classic cottage has been recently renovated and cheerfully decorated. With 1212 square feet and an open floor plan, there is plenty of space for you to comfortably relax. There are two living/entertaining areas in the home, both centrally connected through the galley kitchen. Two bedrooms provide enough sleeping arrangements for 4 guests. The master bedroom offers a queen bed, television and private en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom offers two twin beds (one is a trundle with an extra memory foam topper). Two full bathrooms with walk-in showers. Linens are provided (sheets, towels/washcloths) along with shampoo and soap. A full-size washer and dryer is available just off the master bedroom.

If you decide to cook in during your stay, the kitchen has all the essentials you’ll need - refrigerator, oven, microwave dishwasher, pots/pans, utensils, coffee pot, dishes. A roll of paper towels will be provided, along with dish soap and detergent.

Cable TV, wi-fi, bluetooth speaker along with some games, books and puzzles are available for your enjoyment.

The spacious fully-fenced backyard with hammock and outdoor seating offers the perfect place to relax while children and pets safely play. A deck off the side of the cottage faces the ocean - an ideal spot to enjoy your morning coffee, enjoy dinner off the grill, or watch the sun set while listening to the relaxing sounds of the nearby ocean. A private, outdoor shower is available. Driveway parking available.

When you approach the home, you will appreciate the 'curb' appeal as the beautiful landscaping welcome you!

When you enter, you will be embraced with hard woods throughout the home (over 125 years old!) and a warm but coastal and fun feel interior. The kitchen/dining as you enter, living room to your left (ocean side). Past the living room, you'll enter the Master Bedroom which has a lovely en suite bathroom.
Off of the kitchen, the 2nd Bedroom and Full Bathroom will be found with it's own theme you will enjoy! The living room couch pulls out into a Queen Sofa Bed for a 3rd couple/child(ren)/single, etc. We provide all linens and towels for your ease and comfort, along with the essentials to get you started!

The oceanside of the house will amaze you as it is purely sliding glass (hurricane proof!) doors - you have a view of the ocean from basically anywhere in the home! Curtains you can draw as you wish throughout.

A fully operational kitchen is available for those who want to just stay home and cook/grill and enjoy the ocean breeze while sitting on the back deck! Sunsets are NOT to be missed! No need to leave as you'll have everything you need when you arrive at 'lil seabiscuit'! Beach chairs/towels are available for your stay along with some beach toys. Fire pit available, Adirondack chairs, loungers, outdoor dining on deck, you will be able to appreciate the sight, smell and feel of mother nature. However, if you don't feel like cooking there are plenty of amazing restaurants (even in walking distance!) to explore!

The master bedroom contains one king bed as well as two twin beds (bunks) and cable TV, an en suite master bathroom as well as a walk in closet that includes a chest of drawers. The second bedroom also contains a king bed, dresser and cable TV with an en suite bathroom that also opens into the hallway. Both bathrooms contain oversized vanities and stall showers with shower caddies.

As you head into the full size kitchen stocked with all of the essentials, you will pass the closet that houses the in-unit washer/dryer combo. Enjoy your meals at the eat in bar and bistro style table, we have also included a high chair for children. Finally, finish off the day relaxing on the comfortable couch and loveseat watching your favorite shows on the 58” Roku smart TV. There is a community pool that is open seasonally, which also offers many lounge chairs as well as tables and chairs. The space -
Kitchen is stocked with essentials (yes, there is a waffle maker), lovely marsh view off the kitchen. Dining table seats 6 inside and our outdoor table seats 6 outside. The sectional is super comfy and folds out into a queen bed if you need extra sleeping space. There is HDTV + Chromecast to stream your favorite entertainment. High-speed internet to make the streaming happen. The master bedroom includes a King bed and a bathroom with walk-in shower. Second bedroom includes a twin over full bunk bed and additional rollaway bed. Guest bathroom has a "kid-friendly" tub. All rooms have ceiling fans and shades in case you want to sleep-in.

We will provide linens and towels. We will have some beach towels but please bring your own as well just in case.

The outside spaces are lovely. There is a covered front deck where you can get out of the sun but still keep your eyes towards the beach. This comes with chairs and tables to relax. The back deck is off the kitchen area and has a bistro set to enjoy your coffee in the morning or your margaritas at sunset.

Downstairs there is a 2 car garage to store bikes, your car, and other beach essentials you bring. ((We will provide some beach toys, umbrella, and chairs)). The garage is also where you have access to a washer and dryer. The backyard and back patio has two hammocks, a table with 6 chairs and the Caribbean "hook" game. The back patio area is also covered. The yard is a great place to let the kids run around (soccer goals in the garage) or for you to set-up the corn hole boards. We hope you love it like we do.

Guest access -
The house comes with a two car garage and also allows for two additional cars parked in the driveway. You can get to the beach on foot in a 2 min walk. We are off Middleton so easy access to town, stores and shops.

The house was very comfortable, tastefully decorated (minimalist style / neutrals) and well stocked. Maari, the host, is very friendly and easily accessible by text. I subtracted a star for cleanliness because the kitchen was not swept before our stay and a toilet was not wiped down. This was likely the random error of a housekeeper and not the host. The remainder of the house was satisfactory, so not a huge issue."

The space
Enjoy fun in the sun on the beautiful beaches of Oak Island, then return to Paradox Place for the peace and quiet you crave. Paradox Place is a self-contained 400 sq ft apartment with a nice den featuring a sleeper sofa, recliner, 60" HD TV with streaming channels, and a kitchenette with sink, microwave, refrigerator, air fryer, induction cooktop with saucepan, and complimentary coffee. While the small space is not suitable for extensive cooking, the microwave, induction cooktop and air fryer can be used for preparing small meals or snacks. An outdoor George Foreman electric grill is also available upon request.

The bedroom features a comfy queen bed with a TV and plenty of drawer space. A full bath with tub/shower, including hand-held shower head, is well appointed and welcoming. It is best suited for a couple. But kids are welcomed and can enjoy the memory-foam sofa sleeper.

The outside shower is great for rinsing off after a day at the beach. And bring your devices to enjoy with our 500Mb WiFi. Paradox Place is located in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the Intra-Coastal Waterway. The beach is a half-mile away. The space
Settle in the living room to stream a favorite show together on the 55" smart TV as you reflect on the day’s adventures. T-mobile internet services keeps you connected even while you're away. The open concept living space flows into the eat-in kitchen, where four or more can sit around the center island and keep the family chef company as they prepare the catch of the day or fresh local produce - everything you need to cook meals for your crew is provided. The round kitchen table also seats four to five people, so there’s plenty of space for everyone. Rolling barn doors close off a spacious laundry closet with a full-sized washer and dryer.

On the east side of the home, the ocean-facing bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, and the full bathroom has a standard tub/shower combo and hall access. On the west side of the home, the second bathroom offers the same layout and is located between the remaining two bedrooms. The oceanfront room on this side also provides a queen bed, while the streetside bedroom has two twins. All bedrooms as well as the common areas offer ceiling fans for your comfort, and you’ll find hardwood floors throughout the home with the exception of tiled bathrooms.

Outside, the partially covered front porch offers glimpses of the Atlantic and furniture for dining or relaxing and wraps around one side of the home to a generous back deck where you can soak in the sunshine. Look out over the grassy backyard, where a small copse of trees shades an attractive seating area with a natural bench fashioned from a fallen trunk. Play corn hole together while the kids ride on the rope swing.

Under the home, a porch swing provides the perfect shady spot to sway and listen to the waves, while an enclosed outdoor shower makes rinsing off after visiting the beach quick and easy. Speaking of the beach, you’ll be on the sand in moments each day thanks to a beach access point roughly 400 feet from your front door. Centrally located on Oak Island, Beach Treat is convenient to local activities, shops and restaurants, as well as the bridge leading to picturesque Southport and its numerous shops and historic points of interest. The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed and another Roku TV. The spacious Jack-and-Jill bathroom provides a large shower/tub combo, comfort height toilet, storage cabinet and stacked washer/dryer.

The private, covered oceanfront balcony has breathtaking views. You’ll find two pub height chairs and a table perfectly situated to enjoy appetizers or drinks. An outdoor rug and additional outdoor furniture add to the comfort of this space.

In the parking area, you’ll find a ground-level storage closet with beach chairs, beach toys and an umbrella for your use, saving valuable packing space. Condo community amenities include walkways to the beach, seasonal pool access, a grilling area, outside shower for rinsing off. The location is very convenient to the Barbee Bridge for adventures off the island, and is just across the street from Oak Island Golf Club.
