The Manager even came to check with us the 2nd morning that we had arranged for transport in the evening else he would ensure someone can bring us to the nearest town. Call or "line" the host, and he will pick you up from popular bus stops near the "waterfront" (shui she). We spent just one night there. The breakfast is a pre-ordered pack. Not too fancy but sufficient. The only complaint I had was that the room had a strange smell - I guess of lacquer, and the bathroom had a smell of paint. I can only guess that it was due to a recent paint job. I had to keep a window open all night to let the smell out and fresh air in. Other than that, it's fine."

The owners are friendly. The only hiccup was parking at their carpark which was in a grassy area. Overnight, bunches of ants crawled up the car and stayed in the gap between the closed car doors. There must be at least a hundred ants. The boss was kind enough to spray insecticide and hosed the ants off from the car. Very helpful boss."

- "We originally booked this hotel because of it's pet friendly policies but after contacting them after booking we were told that the room we booked wasn't available for pets, so the re-accommodated us to one that was, no problem there. When we arrived, the main hotel building looked modern and comfortable, but our room was across the road in a more rustic log cabin area. The rooms were fine and the bedding comfortable but it had a "school camp" feel too the cabins. We skipped breakfast on the first morning, which turned out to be a mistake. The hotel wasn't that full on the first night, but on the second night there were many more people staying so that the breakfast the following morning was crowded and the food was always empty. Overall the stay was pleasant and there aren't always a lot of options for pet friendly properties so we were happy that this one was flexible enough to accomodate."
