The room then did not get cleaned for the last day and no fresh towels like we had received the previous days. Breakfast was not the best, some of the packaged food was out of date and the fruit/ salad looked as though it had been left out for days. Quite a small selection of hot foods and mostly pastries/ cakes which is not ideal for breakfast. There was a great selection of cheese, breads and drinks. Balcony was a decent size and room quite large, in a great location too. Spa was quite small and access is restricted to certain times and also was closed on a monday. Pool and outdoor area was lovely."

There is an enormous thermal mineral spa (1000m) on site that people travel here to use. The hotel charge €37 to go in. But on a saturday you have to pre book and it was full. Also, the hotel website advertise a room, including dinner and entry to the thermal spa for same as we paid via expedia, for just a room!!!"

- "We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Dorada Palace and had a brilliant holiday. We arrived on the 1st day of opening and were unsure what to expect but didnt need to worry. Only half the hotel was open as the other half is still being renovated but all the facilities were open. Pool area is clean and a good size, plenty of sun loungers. We were on B&B and enjoyed the breakfast...the choice increased as the hotel got busier. We only ate lunch from the pool bar once during our stay but the food was tasty. The service at the pool bar could be slow particularly when it was busy but put this down to the staff learning and wasnt an issue for us. Rooms were clean. We did find them to be on the smaller side particularly when you had cases to store but no major problem. The animation team were fantastic, really engaging and got as many kids involved in the day and night time activities as they could which was impressive as there weren't many kids there in the early part of the week. Also a shoutout to one of the female life guards (not sure on her name) who was brilliant with our kids and was really encouraging the younger one with his swimming. All the staff were friendly and apologetic if service was slower than they would like. As the hotel was new we expected some teething issues. Hotel is in great location....10-15 minute walk to Port Aventura and 3-5 minute walk to nearest restaurants, bars and supermarket. All in all we had a great time and would return"

- "The facility is top notch and a good spot to explore the Priorat wine Region. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. The disappointment came from the restaurant undergoing a seasonal change of menu during our stay. The already limited choices were reduced further due to the availability of certain ingredients. Despite the many accolades and premature praises for the chef we found the dishes uninspired except for the lobster salad. All dishes arrived at our table lukewarm and the paella was borderline edible because of its high salt content. All in all dining was not an experience worthy of such a great hotel."

Disregard the majority of the negative reviews, they put bad reviews usually of 1 bad incident. Friendly, welcoming arrival, fast efficient reception staff. Everywhere clean and constantly being cleaned. Smiley friendly staff all round. Good facilities for everyone, especially for families. Fantastic waterpark included free. We stayed for half board for one week and the food was very varied. Many theme nights such as Ethnic, Gala, seafood, Mexican etc. Good quality and choice for meat or fish eaters, some varieties for vegetarians and intolerances too. The downstairs Braseria served the best grilled meats and fish in a relaxed and comfortable environment. We had a daily maid service with beds made and fresh towels and general cleaning. Stunning views and beautiful sunsets from the beach. The negatives were that the wifi was not good ( but when is it ever in hotels.?) The indoor pool never looked clean as was used by mostly young children, would've been nice for adults only. Toilet has skid marks in bowl and on seat Bath had several hairs Shower water was temperamental in the mornings when other guests flush their toilets.
