- "The place was ok, it was clean and had a few basic things in the kitchen. However I was disappointed that the ad stated it had a washer dryer but it’s not the unit rather on the other end of the building. We had been traveling 9 days by the time we arrived so needed to do laundry upon arrival. When I learned it wasn’t in-unit I took to my daughter’s house instead, so I didn’t even see the washer dryer. I found the mattress comfortable but my husband said it had a dip on his side. And the king mattress was shoved into a day bed frame so was hard to get in and out of. The shower handles are coming out of the wall, needs repair. The kitchen had basics and offered tea and coffee but didn’t even have a can opener. It’s a downstairs apartment so you have people walking overhead. Also there is a window air conditioner in the front dining room but none in the back bedrooms. So for our stay in Sept the weather was ok and a box fan they provided kept us cool, but I sure would not want to stay in the heat of summer. Overall it worked for the 5 nights we stayed but I wouldn’t book again. "

They are not allowed on furniture or beds and must be crated when left alone in the apartment. Cats are also allowed but must be declawed and crated when you leave the apartment. They are not allowed on furniture. Remember to include your pet on the reservation.

★ Always lock the front door, back door, balcony, and deck door, as well as any other access points. Your safety and the security of your belongings are our priority.

★ A $50 pet fee applies per stay. Maximum dog size allowed is 50 lbs. Cats must be declawed, and any damage to furniture is the responsibility of the owner. Only one animal is allowed in this apartment, in accordance with property management rules.
★ Only housebroken animals are allowed. Animals other than dogs and cats must remain in their designated spaces (e.g fishbowl, cage, etc.). Dogs must be taken outside for bathroom breaks; no pee pads are allowed for training. When left alone in the apartment, dogs must be crated, and animals are not permitted on the furniture. It is your responsibility to promptly clean up dog waste in the yard. Fines for not doing so start at $50.00, with additional cleaning fees depending on the amount left behind.
★ When bringing pets, the check-out time will be adjusted to be 1 hour earlier to provide our cleaning staff with extra time to prepare the unit for the next guests.

- "I booked this studio yesterday and am so glad I did!! I don’t have a lot of experience with booking things, but the hosts made it so easy!! They were courteous, professional, and they answered my questions/concerns immediately!! The hosts gave me additional activities/places to check out, and I ended up booking another night!!!! The unit is well priced, clean, and has ample space. There are a lot of things to do within 15 minutes of the studio, and the hosts are wonderful!!! Downtown Aurora is only about 10 min. away from the studio, and there is an ongoing Day of the Dead celebration through Nov. 5th!!! Basement of the Dead and Massacre Murder Mystery, 2 of the highest rated haunted houses, are less than 15 min. away from the studio!!! Blackberry Farm is less than 10 min away, and there are several things to do there!!! (The admission fee allows for unlimited rides on most things, which is amazing!) The Chicago Premium Outlets mall (great for early holiday shopping!!!) and Paramount Theater are about 15 min. from the studio. I am hoping to book this studio again during the Christkindl Market (Nov. 17th - Dec. 24th) when they have the German Lantern Parade (Nov. 26th and/or Dec. 10th). They will be showing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Paramount Theatre around the same time (Nov. 8th - Jan. 14th 2024)!!!! The Chicago Premium Outlets mall will have even better deals at that time!!! I owe my hosts a HUGE thank you for making this a better experience than I hoped for!!"

The lower level retreat offers you a plethora of exercise options if you so desire. There are two stationary bikes, one a recumbent and one a conventional upright. Dumbbells? Of course! Up to 20 lbs. No need to fret about missing exercise on your trip....this space can double as your own personal gym...that is, if you want it to!

There is some very tasteful testament decor on the walls (I love spending time in this relaxing and very cozy retreat when guests aren't here!) but all, of every stripe are welcome in my charming and cozy abode!

There is a 55 inch Roku TV (with soundbar and speakers) that offers a lot of FREE content...Netflix, Philo, Pandora, Youtube and the Roku Channel among others!
The volume is controlled on the soundbar remote.

With a microwave, coffee machine, toaster oven, fridge and delicious complimentary treats, you can settle in for sleep, study, rest, or vim and vigor!

Of course, there is a powder room and a hair dryer, should you need one but there isn't an en suite shower....you can, however, arrange to use my shower with its award winning shower head...just kidding but it is quite nice with 6 heads. I am quite flexible for the shower, just about any morning until 10:00 am and Saturdays until 9 am.

For safety and security, we require a clear picture of a government-issued ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport) for each adult guest via the platform chat upon booking. If you mark anything off, requirements are Full name, photo, Date of birthday and City.

We strive to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests. To help maintain this, we kindly ask that you observe the following rules:
★ Smoking & Vaping:
Please, no smoking, vaping, or use of marijuana or illegal substances anywhere on the property. Smoking is permitted at least 15 feet from the front or back doors. Be sure to dispose of cigarette butts responsibly (in a bottle or proper container) to avoid fire hazards. A $250 fee will apply for deodorization if smoking occurs indoors.
★ No Events or Gatherings:
To ensure a peaceful environment, we do not permit events or gatherings, and no visitors are allowed between 9 PM and 8 AM.
★ ID Verification:
For safety and security, we require a clear picture of a government-issued ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport) for each adult guest via the platform chat upon booking. If you mark anything off, requirements are Full name, photo, Date of birthday and City.

Additional Guidelines
★ No Eating in Beds:
We provide a dining room table for meals to keep our space clean and comfortable for all guests.
★ Quiet Hours:
Please observe quiet hours between 9 PM and 8 AM out of respect for the neighbors.
★ Safety:
We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that may occur while on the premises.
★ Mail/Packages:
Please note that we cannot accept mail or package deliveries at the property.
★ No Open Flames:
For safety, no burning candles or open flames are allowed in the apartment.

Pet Policy
We welcome well-behaved dogs (up to 50 lbs) with the following guidelines:
★ A $50 pet fee applies per dog, per stay. LIMIT 1
★ Please note that no cats are allowed due to allergies.
★ A maximum of one dog is allowed, and they must be house-trained.
★ Dogs must be crated when left alone, and a $100 fee will apply per occurrence if this rule is not followed.
★ Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds.
★ Please clean up after your dog immediately when outside.
★ No bathing pets in our sinks or tubs.
If a pet is not declared on the reservation, a $200 fee will apply. Check-out time for guests with pets is 10 AM to allow for additional cleaning.

Important Reminders & Fees
★ Late Check-Out:
If available, late check-out is $20 per hour. Please contact us to arrange this in advance, and we’ll send a resolution request via Airbnb for any additional fees.
★ Security & Safety:
We have security cameras at the front and back doors for everyone’s safety. Disabling or tampering with these devices will result in a $250 fee and immediate termination of your stay.
★ Cleaning Fees:
Sofa stains: $100 extra cleaning fee.
Unapproved late check-out: $40 for every 15 minutes beyond check-out time.
★ Anything missing or Broken, guests are responsible for cost of item plus 20.00 inconvenience fee.

This spacious loft apartment has it all, from a luxurious jacuzzi tub to a cozy breakfast nook and kitchenette. Enjoy good company around a full-sized dining room table, perfect for laptops, scrapbooking, board games, or meals. Guests also have access to patio, gardens, outdoor grilling, fire pit, and comfy seating on the porches.

The space
The space is cozy yet spacious!
The loft is located on the third floor of my family home, so there are stairs to get up there. The bathroom has a lovely two-person jaccuzi tub with shower head, but no shower per se.

There's a kitchenette with a toaster oven, hot plate, medium-sized fridge and freezer. There's a french press for coffee and an electric kettle for tea. There's an extendable dining room table and chairs that can accommodate 8 people.

There are king, queen, and a twin-sized beds to choose from. We ask that you pick one bed and stick to it so that we can reduce energy costs from rewashing linens. A queen-sized air-mattress is available for extra guests.

However, it is perfect for sharing among guests who are all attending a wedding at a nearby venue, getting away for a ladies' weekend, or need a quiet, relaxing place to work on a business trip.

We are 420~friendly; however, to respect the rights of other housemates and future guests, smoking is not permitted in the room. A designated area for responsible smoking is available to people of legal age.

This space is not suitable for children under 18 or pets.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the patio and porches outside.
We are a communal household, so the larger kitchen downstairs is available for use with permission to avoid congestion.

I'm just a message away if my guests need anything at all!

I run a wellness center, a business collective, and my own private practice, so I am often working, but I'm always available to answer messages. Everything extra that guests might need can be found in the cabinet on the landing marked "Guests."

Sometimes it's not possible for me to greet my guests in person, so there is the itinerary handbook with self check-in procedures.

We are a co-living home, so there will be other people cooking downstairs in the main kitchen, socializing, and working.
They will not have access to your attic studio space.

Some of our housemates are outgoing and talkative, while others are more introverted and would like to make their coffee in peace. Please read their energy and decide who is who. Everyone is happy to answer quick questions. :~D

Other things to note
We are a communal household, so there will be other housemates and guests staying with us. It is a fairly large house, and everyone tends to keep to themselves when not cooking a meal, so it may be that you will not come across other people during your stay. Nonetheless, we ask that all guests enjoy their accommodations quietly so as to not disrupt other people.

There is a trusted tenant living upstairs, so we kindly ask for consideration regarding noise levels. Shared front entrace but they have a separate entrance/exit upstairs in the back.

One driveway space in the back for your use during your stay. On the far left, labeled "1", when facing the garage doors. The garage in front of driveway is locked and not for guest use.
