The kitchen is stocked with a Nespresso machine for morning coffee or espresso, a coffee press, tea kettle, coffee, tea and sugar and enough water to start you off or for a short stay. We have cooking essentials like olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic.
There is a state of the art delonghi toaster oven (as well as the regular oven and stove), blender, mixing bowls, measuring cups and spoons, utensils, mixer, air fryer, baking sheets, wine glasses & opener and more.

The full bathroom also has a bidet and a lovely view of nature from the shower. There are toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and body wash), towels, hand towels and make up remover face towels.

Our Guest House is a huge converted garage office transformed GH w/ large living space & open loft sleeping areas for up to 9. The upstairs loft sleeps 6, w/ a high end queen bed & two new tufted twin beds each w/ trundles. Downstairs we have 2 more new tufted singles daybeds (1 w/ a another trundle), to snuggly sleep up 9 total (ideal for families, old friends or retreats who don’t mind sleeping close).

Important: ONLY guests in booking are allowed on property at ANY time (regardless of age, or if they are sleeping overnight). NO exceptions. we CAN host lovely parties & gatherings, but they must be sorted out & contracted in advance & they will cost extra in order to be in compliance w/ Airbnb, local & state laws.

One of our personal favorite parts about staying in the guest house, is the outdoor BBQ that you can also use for frying, alongside an outdoor sink for your dishes.

Guests have exclusive access to entirety of the Guest House interior, which includes an outdoor kitchen style patio with a sink and BBQ w/ cook top burner.
The patio leads directly to the Resort-Style pool, jacuzzi fire pit area situated between boulders that have been on this land for thousands of years and palm trees that seem to touch the sky.
Guests in the guest and main houses have shared access to the pool area & use of the lounges, floats and other amenities.

Guest House has designated Parking for 2 cars.

We often can offer in-house treatments & classes, including yoga, breath work, sound healing and massages. Please inquire in advance if you’d like to book a service.

30-45 minutes Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, LAX, BUR & Van Nuys airports, 60 min from Santa Barbara & Ojai, 1-3 hours from Palm Springs, Disneyland, San Diego & Big Bear. 4-5 hours from Las Vegas & San Francisco.

Your rental comes with 2 parking spots and an additional may be able to be reserved upon request.

Please note that we are located in the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains, surrounded by nature, and so getting around without a car can be challenging.

Pool and jacuzzi area is open from 8am- 10pm.
If you’d like the pool or jacuzzi heated during your stay, there is an extra fee daily fee from 150-250 to covers heating costs. Please be sure and request this at least 72 hours prior to your arrival or before booking.

While we love hosting productions, events, parties & celebrations, these must be contracted & reserved in advance.
No unauthorized parties are permitted.
We must comply with local laws & so there are no exceptions.

Situated on more than 1 acre in Malibu Canyon, this private property features a swimming pool with waterfall and slide, large outdoor living room along with outdoor kitchen and BBQ with eating bar and dining space. It is fully fenced in with plenty of room for pets, and it for your use exclusively! If you enjoy games, there is a bocce court and horseshoe pits as well. Located across from Tapia Park and minutes from Malibu Creek State Park and the beach there are plenty of trails to explore and you can even book tours of Malibu's waterfalls. Perfect for stargazing as a part of a dark sky community, you might even spot some owls. If you are into the other type of star gazing there are Malibu star homes and beach tours. You may want to book a wine tasting tour or just enjoy your own bottle out by the pool. Plenty of restaurant choices too, from the Malibu Seafood Company to Nobu and many priced in between. And if historic locations are on your agenda, the Adamson House and Malibu Lagoon Museum are worth a visit and you can tie in a walk on Malibu pier as well. If you don't mind venturing a little further, there is the spectacular Getty Villa. And of course you're not far from any of the major LA area attractions.

During the summer (July, August, September) the pool is warm enough without heating and free to you to use. If you are planning to use the pool any other time, please advise in advance and select the pool option, so that we can make sure it is heated for you. The spa is free to use all year around.

The space
This is a 3 story home in beautiful Topanga Canyon near Calabasas. The first story has been fully renovated into a private 550 sq foot guest suite, which is where you'll be staying. Inside your guest suite, you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay: bedroom, closet, kitchen (with fridge, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster oven/air fryer), full bathroom, laundry (washer and dryer), 65 inch smart TV with all of the applications.
Guest access
You will have the entire guest suite to yourself. It is fully detached with its own private entrance. There is limited outdoor space at the home as we are located right on the strip, but we are located in the woods so there are dozens of hiking trails and nearby beaches for you to enjoy within minutes drive. FOR TESLA CHARGER USE: You are welcome to charge between 9 AM - 4 PM ONLY (electricity is cheapest during this time, and I use it myself at night). The fee is $25 per full charge. It is a level 2 Tesla charger and can charge the car from 0%-100% in roughly 7 hours. Thank you!
Other things to note
In addition to the king bed, there is a sleeper sofa available for a potential third guest. Please note that the sleeper sofa may not be AS comfortable as the bed, but I will have extra linens, blankets, and pillows in the closet near the laundry to make it as comfy as possible -- This sleeper sofa could be suitable for a child perhaps. Please note that there is only ONE parking space available in the driveway. If you have more than one car, you will need to park down the street (about 800 feet from my driveway, but it does require a walk down a rather busy road).

Walk to many hiking trails, parks and even 1 of LA's top restaurants is at the bottom of our driveway (The Saddle Peak Lodge). The Malibu Retreat is located in between Malibu's world famous beaches and celebs newest favorite town of Calabasas.

We're about 40 minutes from LAX airport, 20 minutes from Santa Monica, a few minutes from Malibu Beach & Calabasas and less than 1 hour from Santa Monica and Ojai.

We definitely suggest you have a car, however Uber is available if you don't. We can arrange for airport pick up & drop off for you - as well as guided tours & adventures. You can walk to mountain trials as well as the infamous Saddle Peak Lodge restaurant which is at the end of our driveway.

A Direct lease with owner & security deposit is required for this booking. Customization is possible based on guests needs. Parties, professional uses & heating of pool or jacuzzi have extra costs & fees. Pets need advance approval & deposits

- "Wonderful getaway that still is close to everything. We stayed for 2 nights with family for a college graduation. Everything was conveniently laid out for us and all in working order, including the BBQ. The view was spectacular, the setting serene and relaxing. Yet, we were only a few minutes' drive from either Malibu or Calabasas. It's a unique home with a unique feel to it, but at the same time, it doesn't deter a family or friends from enjoying it's usefulness. We didn't have the guest house but from what we learned in talking to the occupants of that unit, they enjoyed it as well. There is no interruption in either party's stay from the other house except to make sure parking if sufficient. And we loved the roaming peacock!"

2) The Anthropologie Family Suite is a large & colorful room w/ 2 Queen beds downstairs & 4 twins (bunk beds) hidden in its loft. It sleeps 8 easily & shares both a balcony & bath w/ the Santana bedroom. With its lovely walls, closet, bureau & Smart TV too.

Bedrooms 2 & 3 share a balcony with views & a custom handcrafted hand tiled bathroom w/ a shower bathtub & TWO sinks/ vanities (1 sink is outside the bathroom so multiple people can “get ready” at the same time).

Downstairs is home to the 4th bedroom: the Hawaiian Room- which has its own private patio, Queen bed & is across the hall from the House Of Blues bathroom. It’s between the home living room & zen den.

The downstairs bathroom is fun & it’s mosaic tiled walls & colors were inspired by the “House of Blues” with a splash of “Wolfgang Puck”. It’s got a walk-in tiled shower, heated bidet toilet & cobalt blue glass vessel sink.

Down the hall, guests will find one of the property’s living rooms. This one is complete w/ a 55 inch smart TV, another wood burning fireplace, custom shabby chic couch, Sixpenny daybed & comfy chairs w/ pool & mtn views.

The laundry room has smart new Washer & Dryer w/ steam functions.

Most downstairs rooms open to the outdoors easily. It’s a very fluid inside / outside type of house that was designed for comfortable, easy real living, while maintaining its high quality luxury & unique design. The downstairs floors are authentic Saltillo tiled floors & wood. The upstairs has more modern wood floors with area rugs.

Outdoor spaces include:
-Multi-Level Mediterranean Patio, outdoor living room surrounded by stunning mountain views, handcrafted benches from Positano Italy, gas-fueled Weber BBQ, a private propane Fire pit, perfectly tuned wind-chimes, hardwired Bluetooth enabled Bose speakers (indoor, outdoor) & water fountains.
-the Natural Bottom Salt Pool & jacuzzi is shared between the main house & the guest house (Either of which can be heated for extra $), surrounded by palm trees, indigenous boulders & a natural gas fire pit. This listing is for the Main Estate house only. There is a Guest House on the property as well, which could be available if you’d like to sleep more people or if you’d like to book the entire 3 acre property for your use. The driveway & pool/jacuzzi area are the only shared spaces w/ the Guest House.

With this booking, guests will have use of the entire estate, except for the Music Promoter Guest House (which can be added to your booking for extra space and/or exclusive use of the shared spaces).
Please note: both the driveway & pool/jacuzzi areas are shared spaces between Main Estate & Guest House. Courteous & respectful behavior govern these common areas (Ie no nudity, loud late music etc)

Admirably located right between Calabasas & Malibu in the exclusive neighborhood of Monte Nido, our property offers a Bohemian Chic space with many spots to explore and hang out. The property backs up to 10,000 acres of the Santa Monica Mountain Range parkland. With stunning mountain views from our natural rock, dark bottom heated pool and jacuzzi, or outdoor infinity Yoga deck, guests can enjoy tranquility while being only 5 miles from Malibu and 5 miles from Calabasas. Walk to many hiking trails, parks and even one of LA's top restaurants is at the bottom of our driveway - The Saddle Peak Lodge.

We definitely suggest a car although guest CAN walk to Saddle Peak Lodge & Backbone Trail.

*Pool and jacuzzi can be heated for an extra fee.

*Once booked , we issue a direct lease w/ all of our guests which will require a 3-5k direct security deposit. This is fully refundable within 15 days of departure (provided all is well). Details outlined in lease.

*For Liability Purposes, only registered guests are permitted on property- so if you plan to have company or any sort of gathering, party etc we must include these details in your lease.

*If you’d like to bring a dog, please ask & we’ll do our best to accommodate. There may be an extra charge & security deposit, both of which will be included in your lease.

*There is proper bedding for 12 currently in Main House, but more can be added. There is also a Guest House on the property. For Liability Purposes, ONLY registered guests are permitted on property at any time.

*While we DO allow for some select parties, special events, filming, photo shoots or weddings, those are a different type of booking & must be priced & contracted accordingly. All must be in compliance w/ local & state laws. The extra costs for any gatherings /events or professional uses can range from 3k to 50k, in addition to this overnight booking. If you’d like information on any type of event or gathering- please send an inquiry w/ these details in your request: date(s), event times (be sure to include the time to set up before & clean up after) & total number of people you want to have on property, including all guests, vendors, staff etc.
Once we confirm here, we’ll issue a direct lease with our guest which we need to execute within 72 hours. It requires a direct security deposit of 3-5k, which is full refundable if there are no problems.

Heating of the pool or jacuzzi require additional costs & must be booked 48 hours in advance.

While professional filming & photography is permitted, there WILL be extra charges based on the production which must be outlined in advance and included in your lease.

If you’d like to bring your furry friend, it’s ok, but advance approval is needed.

Only registered guests can be on property, so be sure to include the correct number in your booking (even if they’re not sleeping over). If you’d like to have more guests or host a gathering (or wedding, retreat, production, photo shoot etc) those are priced differently & we need to contract & sorted out those details in advance.

The Main House accommodates 12 people, but we also have a Guest House on property which can accommodate 8 more. Ask us for details if you’d like to have up to 24 people on site.
