It's a lovely property close to, and with a view of, Devils Tower. It is 8 miles up a county road from the main road which although I found a daunting idea, I actually really enjoyed. Google maps lead you straight to it. Nice and spacious with a great view and everything works well. Satellite TV in the main room and master bedroom and a lovely gas log fire . The property DOES have reasonably good wifi and my T mobile phone did have good connection there. I do this trip every year and would definitely repeat. - "A beautiful ranch setting. Awesome scenery from the front deck. Greeting party of horses. Perfect setting our group to enjoy remote setting and go play the Beautiful Devil's Tower Golf Course. A good restaurant right by Devil's Tower. Well equipped Kitchen. Owner was very responsive." - "Plenty of room for 6 hunters good Base camp close to where we've hunted for over 30 years" - "Perfect place to stay." - "This house has an INCREDIBLE view of the tower. It sits in a peaceful area of the Campstool ranch overlooking a canyon between the house and the road. Sit out on the porch and listen to the wind whispering through the pine and aspen tree-lined canyon or bring binoculars to watch climbers on the tower and for spotting wildlife. We also enjoyed star gazing- seeing both the Perseid meteor shower and the northern lights during our week. The house sits at the end of the best maintained gravel road that I’ve ever had the pleasure of driving. We do suggest being mindful as you drive in and out- the neighbors have some ‘Houdini cows’ that occasionally slip through the fence and may be found standing in the road. Don’t worry- a cattle traffic jam is much safer than a Buffalo traffic jam! The house is definitely a rural dream. I was sad to come home. Lincoln and Ashley, the hosts, are two of the absolutely hardest working people I’ve met. Ashley runs The Gulch restaurant nearby (we highly recommend the Bourbon Burger, and don’t pass up a piece of pie- the strawberry rhubarb is out of this world!) and Lincoln runs the ranch with the help of their super charming young son. They have thought of everything that the canyon house needs- including a proper coffee grinder for your morning caffeine fix and a rarity in a vacation home- actually SHARP steak knives! The artwork throughout the house tells the story of not only the Campstool Ranch, but also movie productions set in the area. The pinball machine in the basement is Close Encounters of the Third Kind themed. This is a family property and felt like home to us. The house was truly clean and comfortable. My husband and I are not small people. My generous hind end usually has a hard time finding an equally generous chair. This was not the case here. The beds were comfortable, the couches cozy, and the kitchen is the perfect size to work in while also hanging out with friends and family. The AC works very well, and we were pleased to find a box fan in a basement bedroom for nighttime noise. An on-demand water heater ensures that you will be able to take a hot shower, even immediately after doing dishes, a load of laundry, and letting your family shower before you. The Jack and Jill style bathroom in the basement has ample space for getting ready. We have AT&T and enjoyed very solid cell reception at the house. We have zero regrets in booking the Campstool Ranch Canyon house and want to stay again."

Relaxing upper unit of Red Bluffs Lodge located on the banks of the Belle Fourche River just minutes away from Devils Tower. This unit has 2 bedrooms on the main level with queen beds in both bedrooms. In the living area the couch will pull out into a Full sized bed. Taking the stairs up to the loft area there are 2 full sized beds along with a cozy sitting area.
Outside there is a large yard along the banks of the Belle Fourche River. Children need to be supervised at all times while they are outside due to the river.

Food was great! We look forward to the next time! Tip: The first night we weren't able to go to the 77 Steakhouse because of a private party. Conveniently located above Hulett Hardware on Main Street. This lovely upstairs apartment is walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, museum, etc. The apartment boasts a fully stocked kitchen, full bath with large soaker tub, BBQ grill and small deck. Bring your dogs along as well as this is one of few pet friendly properties available in Hulett.

Note: the apartment has central air, the thermostat is located in the hardware store. The temp is set at 70 degrees and guests are unable to adjust it. However, closing and opening the vents in the apartment allows guests some control over the temperature in the apartment.

This recently remodeled home is located on an oversized lot near the Belle Fourche River in the Wyoming Black Hills. If fishing is in the cards you are only about 1 hour from Orman Dam to the east and Keyhole State Park to the SW. 45 minutes will get you to Sundance WY, home of the Sundance Kid or Belle Fourche, the Geographic Center of the Nation. Did I mention you can mark Montana off your list by driving up the highway to Alzada.

While the property offers a complete kitchen you may not want to cook while on vacation. There are several choices in the immediate area.

77 Steak House is a short drive up the hill and offers stunning views as well as a wonderful menu.

For breakfast you may want to head downtown to the Red Rock Cafe. There are also two drive through coffee shops in town. My favorite being the Busy Bean.

The Ponderosa across the street offers a variety of dinner/supper menu specials.
If an afternoon ice cream is in order the Hulett Hotel has a wonderful little ice cream shop offering a variety of hand dipped ice cream flavors.

Mercantile 307 offers the most variety in shopping. There you can find everything from Wyoming souviners, to old west collectibles, and original art work. They even offer farm fresh eggs and a small farmers market. Connie's homemade peantbutter cookies are the best.

- "Very quiet and rustic. It truly is a rustic Hunting Lodge in the Black Hills. Dirt road that dead ends into the lodge. No on sight employees to speak of. Very poor cell phone reception. The friendly & responsive hosts have thought of every little detail, from extra toiletries, pantry staples, games for kids, suggestions of local sights, ect. We enjoyed the private backyard, s'mores by the campfire, the large swing, and the hot tub while stargazing. Our 4 day stay was not long enough. Plenty to do for multiple ages- teens, kids & adults. We were able to 100% relax in between day trips to Devils Tower (15 min drive), the near by fire tower, Gillette, Spearfish & Moorcroft. We made several meals in the beautiful & well stocked kitchen.
