Working with Austin, our concierge, made it all so effortless. He was fantastic and full of information; he booked our lift tickets and a snowmobiling excursion with Back Country. The hotel is also a short drive into downtown Jackson where we spent our evenings dining and shopping at the local boutiques. We had our 7 yr. old granddaughter in tow so we also incorporated a horse drawn wagon tour of the Elk Refuge and a day at Snow King, riding the Cowboy Coaster, tubing and skiing...the Elk Refuge and Snow King were also a very short drive from the hotel. Also, dining/drinks in the bar at Spur, located on the ground floor of the hotel, was very casual, cozy and convenient. Don’t forget swimsuits for the pool/hot tub! "

Our anniversary was on Saturday and we were wanting to schedule a romantic dinner atop the mountains, however did not go to schedule til Thursday and they were sold out for the day and unable to accommodate, book ahead of time-lesson learned. The Chill Spa couples massage was amazing. Spa facilities were pleasurable and staff accommodating to our specific needs. All in all a fantastic 5 day vacay! "

DETAILS
We hope that you will find our space inviting, quiet, and simply a great get away. The home is approx 800 sq ft. It is located just .4 miles off of Ski Hill road and 1.9 mi from the main stop light in Driggs. There is great access to hiking, biking, and skiing from the home without getting into your car. Our home is a new adventure for us and we hope you will enjoy the changes we make along the way. We have new art and new window blinds just in place 3/2014, new deck summer 2015, and a new Ekonnes leather chair in the bedroom fall 2015. New full size washer & dryer 2/2017, and a new shower summer 2017.

Guest Access
The home does have a 2 car garage which may be available upon request for a small extra fee and some extra requirements.

Interaction with Guests
We are not on site full time but are happy to respond to questions, concerns and anything that will make your stay in the Tetons one that will bring you back! Our Home is attached to the apartment but totally separate. Each living quarter is separated from one another by a 2 car garage. Both have full private and separate decks as well as separate entrances. The driveway is a large circular drive that is plowed in the winter and you will find no parking issues.

The Neighborhood
Cobblecrest Rd. is a small subdivision off of Ski Hill Rd with approximately 12 homes. All of the homes and area are well kept. The roads and driveways are plowed following storms. Ski Hill Rd has a wonderful bike trail along the side and there is also a great trail through the back roads to the center of Driggs. The Teton Valley has a variety of restaurants all with outstanding food.

EXTRA DETAILS
During ski season there are many x-country ski areas simply from out the front door. You can find great set track at the nearby high school, the Alta school, and Teton Springs Golf Course and of course at Grand Targhee Resort.

We are hoping you will treat our home with great respect. We would like to know immediately if there is anything which is unsatisfactory/broken/ and or needed. We would appreciate if the dishes were done when you leave and the sheets removed from the bed and placed in the washer. If you feel that another guest may enjoy spices or condiments that you have left over feel free to leave them marking a purchase date on the outside of the container. All perishables should be removed from the kitchen. We do not allow pets at this time and we absolutely DO NOT allow smoking.

Colter Cabin is located on six private acres surrounded by ranches and aspen trees. It's the western log cabin you've been looking for, just north of Driggs, Idaho in the foothills of the Tetons near the Wyoming state line. It's a romantic escape for one couple, but can also accommodate two couples, a small family, or serve as an artist/writer retreat. Honeymooners love the authenticity of the true log construction, big fireplace, and dramatic views. There's fantastic bird watching, hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, and fishing nearby. Or just enjoy the fresh mountain air!

The cabin features high ceilings, classic log construction, a stacked-stone fireplace, and forever views of the neighboring ranch and the Big Hole Mountains. Sip your coffee on the back porch and keep an eye out for moose, fox, and bald eagles. The bright and airy upstairs bedroom sleeps two adults in a queen bed, while the downstairs bedroom features a twin daybed, flatscreen TV, and a sitting area. Grand Targhee is 25 minutes up the hill for excellent powder skiing in winter, and Jackson Hole is about an hour over the pass. Yellowstone (93 miles) and Grand Teton National Parks (47 miles) are a bit further afield. Enjoy views of Grand Targhee ski area and the Teton range from the front deck while surrounded by nature. You can cross-country ski or snowshoe out the front door or find your way to one of the many groomed trails near the towns of Driggs or Victor. Men's Journal named Driggs, "The best small town in America" in 2001. We think it's still true today!

In summer, there's great kayaking on the Teton and Snake Rivers and mountain biking in the Big Hole Mountains. Fly-fishing is available at Leigh Creek, the Teton River, and other local waterways within a few minutes' drive. Venture 40 miles north to Henry's Fork to try your hand at world-famous fly-fishing spots. Hike into the Jedediah Smith Wilderness to get away from it all or take an easy stroll from the cabin down to beautiful Leigh Creek. Horseback riding and golf are also available within a few minutes' drive. The darling town of Driggs is a 7-mile drive and features cute restaurants and shops. Idaho Falls and Jackson airports are each about 75 minutes away.

It was just as pictured and described (do not look at the Google picture taken 15 years ago!). It was surrounded by gorgeous aspen trees and wild flowers. The front porch has a cozy place to sit so see the morning sun, or the rising moon. The back porch and upper balcony (off the master suite) overlook the textured pasture with the beautiful horses grazing and frolicking, and seating is provided. I liked talking to them and when I played my Dean Martin crooner music, they looked up and seemed to like it. The sunset was breath taking, and on the evenings we were home, we sat out there and gazed at the majesty. The instructions for the house were very helpful, and several "things to do" brochures were provided. The cabin was well supplied with linens, towels, and washcloths. It was nice to have a washer and dryer to do a couple of small loads so we could take clean clothes home. We highly recommend this enchanting cabin. Of course the fact that it is fairly close to Jackson Hole, The Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone, not to mention all there is to do closer to "home", just made it even better. It will be one of my "happy places" forever!"

It's brilliant to make a loop out of your Yellowstone visit with this house as your home base.

The master bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed and the second bedroom has a comfortable Murphy Bed with a queen mattress When not in use the bed can be lifted up into the wall unit and the room turns into an office space complete with a large desk. The sauna was built in the Swedish style with interior rock walls and steaming wood stove. The sauna is shared with Thistledew cabin (separate home on the property).

The guesthouse hot tub is only for the guest house. It is accessed off the deck down the stairs. It is situated so it has a beautiful view of the Tetons.

This beautiful house right on the Idaho Wyoming border (up Ski Hill Rd) has amazing natural light, gorgeous finished wood and granite interior and a sun room to die for. With a seasonal stream just off the back deck, this is an amazing place to relax year round. Views of Targhee & the Tetons out back, and the Big Hole Range out the front (also covered porch). In the winter, you can't get any closer to Targhee in Idaho and there is a shuttle up the mountain just across the road.

The King master located off the living room, with an ensuite bathroom boasting a large soaking tub, dual sink vanity and standalone shower, offering a calm space to retire after your adventures in the Tetons.

This 3 bedroom Moose Creek townhome combines cozy accommodations with convenient access to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Upon entering this townhome, guests are greeted with an open foyer offering ample seating and a spacious coat closet, perfect for gearing up or settling in from a day's adventure.

A small set of stairs off the foyer leads guests to a stairwell and the main floor master suite, with high ceilings, a king bed, an updated ensuite featuring a double vanity, walk in shower, soaker tub and slate tile throughout. The bedroom also features a private balcony with valley views, which houses a 6 person hot tub.
Going downstairs you'll find two more bedrooms, each with an ensuite bath. The first is a bunk room with a walk out patio, and two sets of twin bunkbeds. The second is a spacious room with a queen bed and plenty of storage. A laundry room is conveniently located at the bottom of the stairs.
Heading upstairs, on the top floor you will find a bright and beautiful great room with cathedral ceilings, the perfect place to gather in this home. The well-equipped kitchen features stainless appliances, a breakfast bar that seats four and an adjacent balcony with an outdoor grill. The open concept kitchen flows into a dining area that seats 8 and a gorgeous living room. A wall of south facing windows and a deck overlooking the valley brings the outside in. A large sectional is centered on a wood burning fireplace to warm up at after a day on the slopes. The space is completed by a desk and a uniquely finished powder room. The decor is mountain modern yet cozy, as the condo has been tastefully updated.
Outside the townhome, just steps away, is the Moose Creek chairlift and ski storage is conveniently located adjacent to the front door. There is no garage access for this townhome and one parking space in the driveway is available.
A shuttle stop is walkable and links guests with the rest of the resort base area.
