During the time we visited it was very hot and the A/C units (there are only 2 in the entire house) really do not cool the bedrooms at night. the box fans in the house helped but you will need to leave the bedroom doors open and draw the cool air in to the bedrooms. this could be awkward depending on who is staying the house. other than that the experience was very good. We have made our Vrbo the way we would love it - comfortable! Our Colorado Cozy Cottage has 2 Queen size memory foam pillow top beds covered in Egyptian cotton sheets & down blankets. We have a full kitchen with all the items you need for cooking, washer/dryer with detergent, & bathroom with amenities.

Our Cozy Cottage is very special to us. We got married in the backyard! We live down the street so if there’s anything you need just let us know!

They include a memory foam mattress with a pillow top, down pillows, memory foam pillows, down comforter, & luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets. By each bed are two lamps with two USB charging ports in each so you can juice up.

There is a sweet hand made entertainment center (crafted by my talented hubby from our upcycled fence) which includes an electric fireplace in the living room to make sure you stay warm & cozy.

There is also a 55 inch Smart TV on an articulating mount. You can position the TV towards the couch & snuggle to watch shows on our guest Netflix account or swing it to the kitchen while cooking in our supply stocked kitchen.

There is a full kitchen with all the tools you need for cooking (oven, cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, freezer with ice cube trays, dishwasher, pots/pans, toaster, mixing bowls, strainer, measuring utensils, baking pans, pizza pans, silverware, glasses, coffee pot, cooking utensils, & condiments). Coffee is provided for you.

We have a backyard with a large deck & a pond next to it. A waterfall flows into the pond & you can feed the fish too (the silver koi is named Chicken Nugget). There is no entering the pond & of course children must be watched at all times.

Light and bright for a basement apartment. This home is in a quiet residential neighborhood with easy access to Hwy 6 -with access to the Mountains, Golden, Red Rocks Amphitheater or a few miles East to Downtown Denver.

The entire basement apartment space is private to the guests. You even have your own Washer and Dryer, full kitchen, all you can use!There is a patio area for guest use just outside the unit with a picnic bench and a Small Charcoal BBQ Grill...Driveway Parking okay all the way to the right side.

This is a garden-level (basement) apartment. The apartment is around 900 square feet. It has air conditioning to stay cool and comfortable and get a break from the heat in warm months.

Ceilings in most of the apartment are 6 feet 9 ½ inches high. There are two small areas where the ceiling lowers due to air ducts in the ceiling. One small area dips briefly to 6 ft. 1 ½ in then raises again to 6 ft. 9 ½ in. A smaller area dips briefly to 5 ft. 11 ½ in then raises again to 6 ft. 9 ½ in. If you are a taller person, you might have to duck a bit in those two small areas. I personally am 6 ft. 2 in. tall and have no issues.

There is central heating in cold months. We have placed a plush blanket in each dresser, and in the storage compartment under the sofa bed, in case you want to feel extra cozy.

Everything has been renovated. It has a well-stocked kitchen with lots of amenities.

Well-behaved, friendly pets are welcome at our home with an additional cleaning fee of $30.

For any hard-to-remove accidents your four-legged loved one might have in the home, you will be charged an additional professional cleaning fee. The booking guest will be liable for any damage caused by pets.

You will have a private, fenced-off patio area that includes a patio table and chairs. Please pick up and dispose of any mess. There is also a park just across the street, which is a perfect place for dog walking.

I live upstairs with two small dogs and two cats. You will hear us moving around. This might not be the right rental for you if you are especially noise-sensitive, although there are disposable ear plugs and a white-noise machine for your use located in each bedroom nightstand.

You will have the entire bottom floor apartment with your own private entrance. You will also have a private, fenced-off patio area with a patio table and chairs.

There is also a park just across the street, which is a great place for dog walking or playing basketball.

This is not a place for parties. There are plenty of wonderful venues to do that nearby. Afterwards, you can take Uber or Light Rail safely back to the apartment.

The apartment is in a dynamic urban neighborhood. You never have to go far to find what you need, and downtown Denver is just a few minutes away. We love our neighborhood. The neighbors are friendly, and we look out for each other. It is diverse, with people of various socio-economic levels. As a large city, the Denver-Metro area (including our neighborhood) has a large homeless population, and sometimes the liveliness of the city can be heard.

With that said, we feel very safe here and love being near practically everything. Your apartment has many safety features for your peace of mind, including active-deterrence security cameras outside, security bars on the windows (including bars over the window wells that are removable from the inside for emergency escape), and motion-detecting security lights all around the premises. The deadbolt on the door also has a built-in alarm which can be enabled at your request.

We also have room-darkening blinds, white-noise machines, sleep masks, and disposable earplugs to help you tune out the outside world and enjoy your vacation getaway.

This unit is in the lower level of our house, which access is completely separated from our unit upstairs. We are very quiet people and the neighborhood we live in is just as quiet.

Access to the unit is in the rear of our house. Upon entry, you’re met with a 4’x7’ landing with stairs leading down to the unit. The dining area is ahead as you land, to the right is the living room, to the left is our brand new kitchen complete with everything you need and extras (complete set of Calphalon tri ply stainless steel cookware, Keurig K-mini plus coffee maker with reusable pod, Kitchenaid stand mixer, Breville Super Q blender with personal cup, Cuisinart immersion blender, Cuisinart toaster, microwave, table service for 6. Immediately to the right of the stairs is the first bedroom with a queen size bed, large closet and access to the bathroom. Down the hallway from the kitchen is the laundry room, then the second bedroom with a queen size bed and ample closet space. At the end of the hallway is the second door to the bathroom adjoined to the first bedroom. The unit is 1,500 sq. ft and we hope you’ll find it’s home away from home.

A note on pets: my husband and I have severe allergies to pet dander and since our HVAC system is connected, we do not allow pets. Thank you for your understanding.

Spa Maintenance: Spa maintenance team stops by on Thursdays during your stay to service the hot tub. They will not need access to the house, and they should not ring the doorbell. We will do our best to notify you if they plan to stop by during your stay, but their exact time of arrival is not always known.

Pet Policy: Upon request and approval, we allow dogs up to 60 pounds for a fee of $20 per pet, per night, with a maximum of two dogs. If you bring a pet without disclosure, or if your dog exceeds 60 pounds, a fee of $200 per pet, per stay will apply. Dogs are not allowed on beds or furniture. Guests must clean up after their pets, as excessive hair, dirt, or stains will result in a $100 cleaning fee. You have access to a fully fenced yard, and dog waste must be removed promptly. Dogs cannot be left alone unless crated. Aggressive behavior or excessive barking is not tolerated, and complaints may result in eviction.

You will have full access to the house during your stay, with the exception of the owner’s closet and the garage, which will remain locked. These areas are reserved for storage and are not accessible to guests.

All other areas, including the bedrooms, living spaces, kitchen, private backyard, and hot tub, are available for you to enjoy.

Our space: We have a 4 level home. Our family is on the top two levels. Your space is in a locked, private area with its own entrance on the bottom two levels. Your yard is fully fenced in and it’s about 600sq ft. You will enjoy a hot tub, grill, outdoor fire pit/dining table with 6 luxury chairs and 2 extra metal chairs to pull up, if needed. We love hearing the joyful noise of our guests enjoying themselves and you may hear some of our joyful noises, but we've never had issues with either. Many of our guests use our place for a central meeting spot to gather and we are yet to have any issues with sound. Just be sure to communicate and get approval for any guests who are visiting but are not indicated on your reservation to the hosts.

Main bedroom has a new king size memory foam mattress with all new bedding and pillows. Retro couch folds out into a single sleeper (would fit 2 kids). Dimmable and color changing light in the ceiling fan, full length mirror, and live stream TV. Music themed with a wall of speakers.

Second bedroom has an incredibly comfy queen bed with all new pillows and beddin. Oscilating fan, full length mirror, live stream TV and retro couch. A fun and colorful Banksy DJ Monkey, live moss, and vintage records grace this room.

The 36 takes you to Boulder and eventually the Rocky Mountain National Park gateway towns of Lyons and Estes Park. Downtown Golden is a highly walkable city. In addition to nearby Clear Creek Trails, Washington Avenue and the historic 12th Street neighborhood are great locations to stroll. A car is recommended if you will be exploring the mountains. This is a unique living experience in a upscale boarding house. Lovely home in a desired neighborhood. Beautiful views of foothills with a lovely garden to sit in and meditate. The Guest Suite has a kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker (Keurig), electric kettle, and toaster oven. Enjoy our assortment of coffees, teas, and snacks. Ironing board and iron are available. The suite DOES NOT have a stove or oven. The suite DOES NOT have A/C, but we provide floor and ceiling fans. The basement rarely gets above 71 degrees in the hottest points of the summer.

We are kid friendly, but not childproof. A Pack ‘n Play is available if you bring a little one with you. The living room has a sofa-bed. The unit can fit 4-6 people comfortably.

Free WiFi. Feel free to login to your own Netflix, Amazon Prime, or other popular streaming media services on our TV with Roku device. A writing desk is in the living room. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and organic cotton sheets. Our guests also have access to a private patio with outdoor seating and a grill.

We do ask that noise settle down at 10 pm to not wake up the kids or disturb our neighbors.

Parking is available for one car in the driveway.
