You can hear toilets flush, babies crying, walking across floor. All quite normal just not to our liking. Handrail needs to be added as we were all well into our sixties and seventies. Lamps and rugs would help tremendously. Completely renovated space just lacking basic amenities." - "Very clean and well updated place. Would have liked a lock on the inside of the room to feel safe in a strange place. (The door locks with key access. I would like a sliding bolt or a chain). It is in the basement and every step from the residents upstairs can be heard. Having a fan to block out noise could help. - "Overall the room was satisfactory - the bed was clean and comfortable, and the tv worked. The air conditioner cooled well but was loud. The microwave was missing a knob. The mini fridge worked well, but I could hear every time the compressor went on and off, very noisy. The entire hotel was in the midst renovations, so some things in the room were incomplete. A few places in the walls in the bathroom needed sanding and painting. Some of the furniture was worn as if a dog was gnawing on it. There was a dead fly on the floor. The curtains didn’t close properly because parts were not hooked properly."

Pretty much all areas except our private bedrooms. We share bathrooms on each floor but my husband and I try to use the downstairs one as much as possible to allow for more privacy upstairs. Upstairs bidet includes a built-in fan deodorizer and we have air fresheners in each bathroom. We usually use the living room to watch TV and you are welcome to join us. If you prefer to view TV in private, there is a TV in the Queen size bedroom and one in the basement TV viewing area.

During your stay
My husband is retired and in and out throughout the day. We are both available by cell most of the time and can help you with information about the area and basic local directions or information about traveling into the city. We respect your privacy.
We want you to enjoy your stay and we value good reviews so please communicate if anything is not to your satisfaction as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to correct it.

Other things to note
1 small Maltese 7lb rescue dog on premise and a tiny 4 lb yorkie. Mia, the Maltese, is very mellow, non-biting and sweet (sleeps 90% of the time although she does bark for a minute if someone comes to the door). The yorkie, Binky, is sweet and loving too!! We also have a small 7lb rescue cat.
