Chuns Reef Beach House has one of the best locations on the North Shore with a beautiful white sandy beach at your doorstep. Once you open the gate, the sand is just steps away. We provide lots of beach toys for the use of our guests including sand chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, soft top surfboards, paddle boards, kayaks, and coolers. Chuns Reef is the best spot for water activities on the North Shore during the calm summer months!!!! The oceanfront studio is very secluded from the rest of the home and is tucked away on the lower level of the property with an amazing covered beachfront lanai. The oceanfront studio is cut into the lava rocks and is located under the house. Because it is surrounded on three sides by rock, it makes it extremely private. The covered lanai has spectacular beachfront views of the ocean. There is a beautiful hammock, teak bar table and chairs and Balinese daybed located on the lanai to capture the best views of the surf. It is just feet from the sand.

The oceanfront studio is a large studio with a beautiful king teak Balinese canopy bed with a comfortable pillow top mattress. All beds feature down comforters and pillows along with fresh white linens. The studio features a fully equipped kitchenette with countertop burner, Cusinart microwave oven, Cusinart coffee maker and Breville countertop oven. There is a sitting area with a down blend slipcover sofa and 46' Sony flat screen TV. There is a small round teak dining table with 2 chairs. The bathroom features a shower. - "Location, location, location...when you think of Hawaii, this is the location you are thinking of. On the shore of one of the most popular beaches in the surfing world, Chun's Reef, this spot is perfect...unmatched!!! The home is a little dated and we could have used a 2nd bathroom, but overall, a fair price for the location. The traffic is a little tough in that area, but to be expected in that part of the North Shore. Michelle, the owner, was easy to get a hold of and Diane saw to your day to day needs. Both ladies were wonderful to work with. We enjoyed our stay and will be back."

If a coastline walk is more your style, head down the block to our gorgeous neighborhood beach where, more likely than not, you’ll have the ocean to yourself. This leisurely walk might just bring you face to face with more than one majestic sea turtle. What a way to start your day!

Since the North Shore is home to some of the most famous beaches and surf spots in the world, our guests are extremely lucky to be within walking distance of one of the best. Just a short walk from the house, explore famous Ali’i Beach, home of the first event in the Van’s Triple Crown of from November thru December. Go! Rent a board! Surf where the Pro’s surf!

But if surfing isn’t quite up your alley, you can always try kayaking, jet skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkeling, diving, sailing, kite surfing, whale watching (in season) OR horseback riding, hiking, sky diving, shark cage diving, zip lining, ATVing, OR just picnic and sun bathe!

If you decide to leave the intoxicating North Shore, it’s about an hour drive to the hustle and bustle of famous Waikiki.

But before you go, make it a point to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center for a one of the best luau dinners and spectacular shows on the Island. And an afternoon at the Dole Plantation is a only for the mouth watering pineapple ice cream!

“Slippahs” (aka flip-flops) are the preferred mode of local transportation. However, remember to bring sneakers or walking/hiking shoes. You’ll see many locals and tourists “getting around town” on bicycles, surf boards, paddle boards, boogie boards, canoes, and kayaks. Luckily, our guests can rent all of the above in Haleiwa 😎

The BUS, Oahu’s public transportation system, is actually a good way to get around the Island if you opt not to get a rental car.

- "This was our second time staying with Mike and Sharon and once again our stay was fantastic. The house is as beautiful, comfortable and clean as the pictures show. Mike, Sharon, their kids and even their guests are all very respectful of the privacy of the VRBO unit. We didn't hear the family at all during our stay but when we did contact them they were very responsive and helpful. Besides the accommodations, the location is FANTASTIC! The neighborhood has two close parks, its own beach (just blocks away) and we walked into town multiple times, its that close. We will definitely be back, again!"

I the host occupy 1story separate private entrance. Guests occupy 2nd story separate entry Light to no interaction depending on guest preferences. I want all of my guests to feel they have the most privacy. Fully equipped kitchen and amenities. Beach towels, snorkel, small cooler, chairs and umbrella available for beach excursions. The only common area is driveway. If you don't mind fur babies, there are a few sweet pets that roam outside on the the property.

- "The bungalow was exactly as pictured and in a great location. It was a beautiful home base and away from the crowds and traffic of Honolulu and Waikiki. From the bungalow it was easy to get to pretty much anywhere we wanted to go. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We had an evening arrival to Oahu with a flight delay and luggage issues at the airport so we arrived quite late but they were waiting for use on arrival to get us settled in. We would definitely stay there again when in Oahu."
