- "Needed to stay on Philadelphia for three nights on business wanted something cleam and affordable which was close to good dining. Everything was great. Fresh remodel and new beds. Three TV’s which we did not use but a Ms Pacman downstairs which we did use. There is crowded street parking but there was a spot with 2-3 doors each night. There was only one spot each night, but all we had was one car, so it was perfect. The stairs are difficult if you have mobility problems. Other than that issue you should feel comfortable renting this space."

Fishtown has been called Philadelphia's trendiest neighborhood. At my little studio, you can be in the heart of it and yet still be just one block from the elevated train which takes you to Center City in 10 minutes. Enjoy coffee at La Colombe, German beer at the Frankford Hall beer garden, spirits at Lloyd's, and live music at Johnny Brenda's. This is a comfortable 250 square foot completely private space with its own modern bathroom and soaring 25 foot ceilings.
The space
Our space is simple but comfortable. We have a queen sized bed, a table and chairs, a dresser, a small fridge, a microwave, and a full bath with shower. There is no TV.
Guest access
There is free 3 hour parking on our block of Front Street. For longer term free parking, try the side streets nearby - Thompson and Master (It’s hit or miss whether you find a space). There are paid parking lots at 1320 N Front and 1400 N Howard. If you’re desperate, try parking on American Street north of Cecil B Moore — there are always openings.
Other things to note
We are located next to an elevated train line. The train is loud. We’ve done our best to sound proof the space and we’ve provided earplugs. In addition, the train stops most nights between 12 and 5:15. Nevertheless, you should come prepared for some noise.

Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all persons in their unit.

SMOKING:
Smoking of any kind is not allowed in the unit. There will be a minimum $250 penalty fee if it is determined that there was smoking in your apartment during your reservation period.

MINIMUM AGE:
Guests named on the reservation must be 18 years or older. By booking a reservation, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity and authority to enter into a contract. The name on the reservation must be present at check-in and throughout the duration of the stay.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:
Check-in time is at or after 4pm and check-out time is prior to or at 11am. Early check-ins and late checkouts are based on availability and can be requested one day before. Additional fees may apply.

SECURITY:
For security reasons, there are audio/video recording cameras in the common areas of the building and outside of the building. There are no recording devices inside the unit.

Welcome to Philadelphia. Convenient and affordable short term accommodations for traveling nurses, medical studets on rotation, and other traveling professionals or students.
Small but cozy room with desk, chair, and wardrobe closet. The house is just across the street from Market Frankford Tioga EL Station. This convenient train can whisk you to Center City Philadelphia in 20 minutes and to most Universities in 20-30 minutes.

The space
When requesting a room please briefly introduce yourself and describe the reason for your stay.
We also ask that guest fill out their profile information so we know something about you. Small but cozy room for rent in a comfortable house across the street from Tioga EL Metro station, and the # 3 bus. We are located in the Harrowgate neighborhood. Airbnb has us erroneously listed as in Kensington. Your room has a single-size bed, wardrobe closet, and desk with chair. A bathroom shower with a clawfoot tub is next to this bedroom. Downstairs is an optional Japanese bathroom shower with a deep soaking tub.
There is a hot water machine to make tea, instant coffee, or instant oatmeal. We also have a Keurig K cup coffee machine.

Guest access
Access to the common living room to read, socialize or watch Netflix. Access to the kitchen and also the dining room.
Ther are two shared bathrooms. We have Japanese style shower room with a deep soaking tub. Because it's a deep tub, to offset the use of water and gas there is a $5 fee. I ask that you notify us 4 hours in advance to reserve using the tub.
Kithen is available for gas cooking from 6:00am to 9:30pm. No cooking before or after this time. Microwave can be used any time.
Dining room can be used for eating or as an alternate space to work from for a few hours.
Cleaning of bathroom and kitchen is mandatory after using those spaces.
We ask that guest not go in and out of the house between 12:00am and 6:00am.
If your a night person then this will not be a good fit.

When not working or when I am home I can interact as much or as little as guest interact with me. Feel free to ask me any question about places to go & things to do.

The space
Located in Harrowgate neighborhood and across the street from the Tioga EL train station and Harrowgate Park, are budget accommodations in a comfortable home. No need to drag luggage multiple blocks; the metro train station (The EL) is directly across the street. This location gives you convenient, fast, and safe access to the house. The Market-Frankford Line connects directly to major destinations like City Hall, Center City, Temple U, Drexel University, the University of Pennsylvania, and continues out to suburban areas. You won't find a host with a home closer to a train station at this price, and experience modest and authentic Philadelphia row house living. We offer 3 guest rooms, all at budget-friendly prices. The shared public space consists of a living room, dining room, and large kitchen. There are two full-size bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom has a Clawfoot tub with two separate shower heads. The downstairs bathroom was influenced by my travel to Japan, having a shower room with a deep soaking tub(Ofuro). In Japan, one first showers and then enters the hot soaking waters of the deep Ofuro tub. This is typically done in the evening. There is a large shared kitchen with a gas cooktop, microwave, Keurig coffee machine, and electric hot water kettle. We also have various cooking appliances and a rice cooker. There is a modest-sized backyard garden with chairs and a small table where one can sip a coffee or tea and admire the garden. The Harrowgate area has been undergoing revitalization in recent years, and being so close to the EL makes it easy to reach Center City, University City, or other neighborhoods.

FYI: Philadelphia recently doubled most homeowners' property taxes, which, combined with the increase in the cost of living from 2021 to 24, increased our cost significantly. Guest access
If you choose to, you will have access to a shared living room with Netflix or Amazon Prime on a flat-screen TV. Shared large eat-in kitchen and two full bathrooms. Clawfoot tub with shower in the upstairs bathroom. Japanese style bathroom with separate toilet room, and a separate shower /deep soaking tub on the first floor. If you want to use deep soaking tub you can reserve a time with 2 hours advance notice. The fee is $5. It is a very deep tub up to your shoulders. This fee is to offset the use of water and gas. I ask that you notify me in advance to reserve use of time. There is a yard with small deck and view of the asian influenced garden. Yard access is through the downstairs bathroom. Don't worry, bathroom locks from inside and yard can not be accessed from outside.
Breakfast is free for short term guest up to 4 days and includes any combination of cereal, English muffin, or frozen waffles for the toaster. Coffee is Lavazza coffee beans that are freshly ground in the morning, or organic pods for Keurig machine. Theres is orange juice, and also milk for cereal. In the summer have your breakfast and coffee sitting outside on our cozy little deck and enjoy the morning

During your stay
I am social person but also give people their space. If guest want to hang in their room or downstairs it's no worries either way.

Other things to note
Please breifly describe a little about yourself and the reason for your stay, such as school or work.
Your room has air conditioning, an extra pillow, and a blanket in the closet. Towels and washcloths are also supplied.
Use the remote for the TV to turn on the power. The small silver remote is for Apple TV and access to Netflix and Amazon.
For a frozen breakfast sandwich in the microwave, use the defrost setting.
For instant, oatmeal do not microwave for over 30 seconds or it will overflow. DO not add milk as milk has a shorter boiling point and will overflow after 8 or 10 seconds.
Be sure to lock both locks at the front door when leaving and entering the premises.
I have 3 cats, so you should be pet-friendly.

There is a view of the park across the street and also of the train station.

The space
A large brick and wood home from the early 1920s. House is in the multicultural neighborhood of Harrowgate and is shared by Xin & I and other Airbnb guest. The Market Frankford Train station is conveniently located across the street from the house for quick passage to center city, other neighborhoods, and Universities.
House has a spacious living room, dining room, and large eat-in kitchen. There are two bathrooms. Second-floor bathroom with a clawfoot tub shower combination. The first-floor bathroom is Japanese influenced bathroom with shower room and deep soaking tub up to shoulders with a view of the Japanese garden. The bathroom also has a separate toilet space, and changing room with a sink There is a $5 fee for using the deep soaking tub. This is to offset the use of water and gas. I ask that you notify me in advance to reserve a time. This gives me time to fill up the tub for you. Design of the bathroom was influenced by my trips to and interest in Japanese culture. Laundry room is in the basement. For long term guest, over 6 days you will have once weekly free access to Washer and Dryer.
We have Nest cameras in the kitchen and living room. There are also 2 cameras at the exterior and one in the yard.

During your stay
I interact if we should come across each other in common areas of the house. If you want to hang out and talk I am more than happy to do so.

Other things to note
Shared kitchen is available for cooking from 6:30am to 9:30pm. Microwave can be used anytime.
There is a hot water machine and Keurig coffee machine.
Please read house rules before arriving.
We do have pets and accept guest who are comfortable with cat's.
Cleaning up of kitchen and bathroom is mandatory after using these spaces.
For everyones security it is important to lock both locks bottom lock and deadbolt at front door, when entering or leaving premises.
