Since it was a non refundable reservations they ignored my request and kept my money although I did eventually get the cleaning fee back. I have booked accommodations for decades through Hotels.com and never before complained like this. It is not up to the standards I would expect on this platform."

Welcome to our home. Convenient and affordable short term accommodations for traveling nurses, medical studets on rotation, and other traveling professionals or students. We are offering a large comfortable room with a ​desk, chair, dresser, and 2 closets. Includes a comfortable queen size bed and an antique chair. The room is air-conditioned for your comfort. There is a view of the park across the street and also of the train station.

The space
A large brick and wood home from the early 1920s. House is in the multicultural neighborhood of Harrowgate and is shared by Xin & I and other Airbnb guest. The Market Frankford Train station is conveniently located across the street from the house for quick passage to center city, other neighborhoods, and Universities.
House has a spacious living room, dining room, and large eat-in kitchen. There are two bathrooms. Second-floor bathroom with a clawfoot tub shower combination. The first-floor bathroom is Japanese influenced bathroom with shower room and deep soaking tub up to shoulders with a view of the Japanese garden. The bathroom also has a separate toilet space, and changing room with a sink There is a $5 fee for using the deep soaking tub. This is to offset the use of water and gas. I ask that you notify me in advance to reserve a time. This gives me time to fill up the tub for you. Design of the bathroom was influenced by my trips to and interest in Japanese culture. Laundry room is in the basement. For long term guest, over 6 days you will have once weekly free access to Washer and Dryer.
We have Nest cameras in the kitchen and living room. There are also 2 cameras at the exterior and one in the yard.

During your stay
I interact if we should come across each other in common areas of the house. If you want to hang out and talk I am more than happy to do so.

Other things to note
Shared kitchen is available for cooking from 6:30am to 9:30pm. Microwave can be used anytime.
There is a hot water machine and Keurig coffee machine.
Please read house rules before arriving.
We do have pets and accept guest who are comfortable with cat's.
Cleaning up of kitchen and bathroom is mandatory after using these spaces.
For everyones security it is important to lock both locks bottom lock and deadbolt at front door, when entering or leaving premises.

I renovated this space for the last year and modeled the whole thing after my grandmas beach house down at Surf City, Long Beach Island, NJ. My grandparents built their beach house back in the 50s and its amazing vibes with lots of natural materials, so Im trying to bring that energy and design into Fishtown.
