Our Hawaiian Style Vacation Rental apartment is "Legally operated", and sits on Kailua Beach, one of Hawaii's most beautiful of white sand beaches, and rated among one of the USA's best.
The apartment is located in the front portion of a beachfront home with a beautiful view of Kailua bay. It has it's own private entrance and has convenient FREE parking on driveway just down sidewalk from the rental unit. The bedroom has one queen-size bed and over head ceiling fan for extra ventilation and comfort. There is a connecting private bathroom and shower supplied with bath towels sets an beach towels.The unit also has a dining table, TV with cable, and unit is computer “WIFI” wireless ready.
There is AC is available for cool air as preferred. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a microwave, large sink, Kreuig coffeemaker with 4 complimentary K- coffee cups to start tenants off, electric hot water kettle, refrigerator with freezer, toaster, dishes, and utensils. There is microwave cooking only . Tenants are responsible for their own food an beverages and all personal soap an toiletries.
Rental has direct side walk private access to front lawn sitting area where tenants can relax an enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Kailua Bay and Mokulua Twin Islands, with steps just at the yards corner to beach. The Hawaii Sheffield House Ginger Studio has a 'Secret Garden. The night lighting is enchanting. We are Located at 131 Kuulei Road in Kailua . It has a private entrance and is on the ground floor with windows opening to a tropical bank of Areca palms. The Ginger Studio has a private entrance and a private bath that has a huge walk-in shower . A breakfast bar with toaster oven and coffeemaker and under counter refrigerator is provided in the room. Check the calendar for last minute vacations or specials.

Just outside the door in the garden, is a bubbling fountain in a Chinese steamer pot. There is a comfortable queen size bed. The beach is calling and there are activities galore, a perfect Hawaii vacation. Take a beach chair and a boogie board located by the entry door and walk to Kailua Beach and enjoy some beach time.

There is an Olympic size community swimming pool and tennis courts 13 houses up the street toward Kailua Town. In the other direction is our beach access to Kailua Bay . Hike the Lanikai pillboxes, Visit our wetland, Kawainui marsh. Kailua Beach by Sheffield House is a perfect boogie board spot. Watch the kite surfers or join in. Plan an early morning walk to watch the sunrise.

The Ginger Studio and the Garden Suite 30018 can be combined to make a two bedroom two bath unit and sleep a party of five.

The Ginger Studio has a queen-sized bed with Hawaiian applique quilts and a newly remodeled private bath with a Breccia marble counter top. It has a large shower -big enough for two (no tub). It is equipped with a breakfast bar or kitchenette (No kitchen sink) with a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and under counter refrigerator and a table for two.

While it is air conditioned, ceiling fans are usually all that is needed. Evenings on the beach you will need a light sweater or jacket all year round. The Ginger Studio has an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, cable TV and wifi. There is an indoor rattan table for two as well as an outdoor table for two/three. Towels, beach towels, and paper towels are provided. At this time we are not accepting reservations which include children under the age of three in this room. .

We only accept reservations with small children when this unit is rented together with VRBO 30018. It is possible to sleep a party of 5 with adjoining VRBO 30018

Yes, we are in the tropics so you may see geckos, anoles, chameleons and flying insects. Yes, we do use pesticides.

Note that there are two coin operated laundromats within 1/3 of a mile away.

Hawaii Sheffield House is a non smoking property. The Ginger Studio is a self contained vacation rental with everything there that you might need. There is one free parking space in the driveway of Hawaii Sheffield House just steps from the entrance the Ginger Studio.
(Note: You do not have to circle the block or parking garage looking for parking.)

Sadly, at this time our street can be busier than normal. It is from time to time being used as a detour for the construction at the roundabout at the entry of Lanikai. Hopefully, by the time you read this the detour will be removed.

Aloha! We renovated this old-style Hawaiian home so that it will have the charm of old Hawaii with modern conveniences.

It is a great retreat for a maximum of 2 easy-going, nonsmoking adults (25 years and older only).
This garden oasis (we've planted over 3,000 trees and plants) is in the most awesome location - you are 100 steps from Kailua Beach where you will find 2.5-miles of its famous soft white-sand and turquoise water - - often rated in the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world. Beach walk, swim, kayak, wind-surf, kite board, body surf, snorkel, hike, walk/jog the Lanikai loop - there is an abundance of fun activities here...or, completely relax and chill out which is very easy in this quiet & secluded bungalow on the 1st level of a 2-story home.

The Enchanting Bungalow is decorated with upscale furnishings, original art and collectables from around the world. You will have your own private entrance, private yard & garden - filled with fragrant flowers - gardenias, plumerias, white ginger, night-blooming jasmine, and more...there are over 300 varieties of plants on the property.

To be good neighbors, we ask that our guests have no more than 2 additional guests on the property.

The property will be made exclusively available to the renter for a full period of 30-days and no one else may occupy the property during that period. The 30-day rental period will be communicated to guest upon booking.

- "Scott and Cheri's Beach Bungalow was clean, private, relaxing and wonderful. We stayed a month here in Kailua, enjoyed the beach daily (a mere 100 feet or so away), walked to town for groceries, road the local bus to Honolulu, North Shore, Diamond Head and beyond. The property was well stocked, quiet and comfortable. The private garden was beautiful and bird watching at the fountain was a daily enjoyment. Charming Hale Mokolea in Lanikai 2BR 2BA Full Kitchen is located in Kailua, just a 13-minute walk from Kailua Beach and 7.4 miles from Nuuanu Valley Rain Forest. Both Wifi and private parking are accessible at the apartment free of charge. Honolulu Museum of Art is 12 miles away and Bishop Museum is 12 miles from the apartment. Featuring a patio, this apartment also includes a satellite TV, a well-equipped kitchen with an oven, a microwave, and a toaster, as well as 2 bathrooms with a bath and a hair dryer. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Classic Hawaiian architecture on a beautifully landscaped property. You have free on-site parking and easy access to our outdoor shower. Our Surf Snoopy themed accommodation has all the modern day comfort features such as air conditioner, hair dryer, iron and board, washer/dryer, full size refrigerator/freezer, kitchenette, Keurig coffee machine, induction cooktop, toaster, microwave, and all the essentials to cook and eat your meal. Super comfortable memory foam king size bed, indoor and outdoor dining area and if you need to bring your work, we have a desk with super fast WiFi and CAT 5 network cable. We are a permitted short term rental which means you can stay for a few nights or as many nights as you need. Super comfortable and extremely clean, modern with everything you need for a wonderful stay. You have free use of our beach cruiser bicycles, beach towels, beach tote, coolers. We worked hard to think of all the details so you have a super comfortable and wonderful stay.

We are centrally located in the heart of Kailua. Kailua is best known for having the best beach in the world as well as a charming Kailua town. We are walking distance to Kailua Beach, Kailua Town, boutique shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, breweries. Kailua is a bike friendly town. Many major attractions on the island are 15-45 minute drive.

Wash off sand and salt water in the outdoor shower before entering the units.
Shake off all sand from clothes and towels before using the washer and dryer.

Flush ONLY toilet paper down the toilet. Absolutely NO sanitary items, wipes or towelettes down the toilet.

5+ Hours: Charged at a full-day rate (may not extend beyond 11:59 PM of the day of confirmed departure)
Same-Day Transitions: On days when we have both a departure and an arrival guest, check-out must be by 10:00 AM; no exceptions.
Guaranteed Late Check-Out: Guests can purchase the additional night when booking to ensure a late check-out.

Ensure a trouble-free stay by staying in our licensed short-term rental. The City and County of Honolulu have imposed strict enforcement on vacation rentals that do not possess a Nonconforming Use Certificate (NUC). Our NUC allows us to rent nightly, versus the minimum ninety (30 - 90) nights; without this certificate, the minimum rental occupancy must be ninety (30 - 90) nights or more.
The last issuance of NUC Certificates was in 1989.

Applicable Hawaii general excise tax a "GET" (currently 4.166%), applicable transient accommodations tax "TAT" (currently 10.25%), Honolulu Surcharge Tax (.5%), and Oahu transient accommodations tax "OTAT" (currently 3.0%) will be added to the Daily Rental Rate, Cleaning Fees, and all other charges payable by Principal Guest(s) to Agent under this Rental Agreement. Should the State of Hawaii raise either the transient accommodations tax (TAT), general excise tax (GET), or Oahu transient accommodations tax "OTAT", we will amend all applicable reservations and collect the additional tax(s) from Guests before check-in.

For stays of 10 - 19 Nights, we collect an additional $150.00 for a mid-stay cleaning fee, plus applicable taxes.
