- "We had a wonderful stay in Cool. The property is fantastic. It was clean and had an abundance of amenities. My kids loved the spa and fire pit. They enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and looking out at the expansive views of Cool. I found it so helpful that all the drawers in the kitchen were labeled with what was inside. It was so much easier to find things rather than opening and closing every drawer. And it was stocked with nearly everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms were clean and well supplied. The kids who stayed in the room with the bunk beds loved that they were given their own throw blanket and towel set on their bed. They each used their throw blanket to cuddle up on the couch with in the evenings. The town of Cool is just one intersection, but there is a lot at that intersection. There is a gas station, 2 liquor stores and several restaurants. So you didn’t have to go far to get what you needed. However there are a few other towns nearby if you did want to go to a little bit bigger town. We went white water rafting while we were there and it was very close by and easy to get to. The owners were very responsive to all my questions and super easy to work with. I would definitely stay here again. "

d) Separate SAUREEL VINEYARDS EVENT CONTRACT is to be signed PRIOR TO BOOKING of the ranch home.
e) proof of purchase of one day event insurance naming Saureel Vineyards as the additional insured.
f) Larger areas around the lake are also available for such events and those fees increase as area and event amenities increase for events.

IF you meet the above criteria and receive the Owner's approval for your Event, you will be sent a pre-approval to INSTA BOOK this ranch home that WILL IN TURN SECURE YOUR DATES FOR YOUR EVENT. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES INSTA BOOK THIS RANCH HOME FOR AN EVENT WITHOUT THE OWNER'S WRITTEN APPROVAL.

CANCELLATION, FORFEITS CATASTROPHIC EVENTS, EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS & REFUNDS:

Owners have a strict cancellation policy. Once a booking for our property is received, the property is removed from the market for those dates and potential guest renters look elsewhere for their accommodations. We understand the challenges of planning travel during these times with variables we cannot control, however, we are a business and bookings that are cancelled less than 60 days prior to a scheduled stay negatively affect our ability to rebook our property for those dates.

Owners are not responsible or liable for unforeseen circumstances such as: Unfavorable weather, road conditions, catastrophic events, emergency evacuations, Acts of God, disruption of utility services, power outages, disruption of cable and/or internet services, malfunction or breakdown of appliances, boiler, water supply, sewers, hot tub, or other equipment malfunctions such as TVs. There will be no refunds or rebates given to Guest Renters as a result of any unfortunate circumstances that are outside of the Owner’s control within your stay.

If a catastrophe (hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood, fire, or wild fire etc.) or any situation simply beyond our control impairs the vacation rental stay, Owners are not responsible for finding alternate lodging for the Guest Renters or for the Guest Renters’ financial losses related to transportation or alternate lodging. There will be NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS. GUEST RENTERS ASSUME THE RISK OF LOSS IN THESE SITUATIONS.

ALL CANCELLATIONS MADE PRIOR TO A GUEST’S ARRIVAL DATE, REGARDLESS OF THE DATE WHEN THE CANCELLATION IS MADE, WILL INCUR A $150.00 CANCELLATION FEE. This cancellation fee will be deducted from the Guest Renter’s deposit/rent payment that was made at the time of booking.

Written Cancellation Notices made, regardless of the date the cancellation was made, will receive a 100% refund for the following items that were pre-paid by the Guest:

Cancellations made within any number of days prior to your confirmed stay due to “COVID SHUTDOWNS” will receive 100% refund. “COVID SHUTDOWNS” are described as shutdowns directed by County, State, and/or Federal officials in these situations:

1) El Dorado County
2) State of Nevada
3) National (USA)
4) GLOBAL

You will NOT receive a refund if you cancel due to the fact that either yourself, or someone else in your party, contracts COVID and needs to cancel within 30 days or less of your confirmed stay dates. In the unlikely event this would happen, the General Cancellation Policies below will apply:

ULTRA ADVANCED BOOKING cancellations that are made SIXTY (60) days or more before guest’s scheduled arrival check-in date will receive a 100% refund, minus the $150 cancellation fee.

Cancellations 59-31 days before check-in will receive 50% refund.
Cancellations 30 days or less before check-in will NOT RECEIVE A REFUND.

CLOSER TO YOUR STAY DATE BOOKING cancellations that are made THIRTY (30) days or more before guest’s scheduled arrival check-in date will receive a 100% refund, minus the $150 cancellation fee.

Or just relax and enjoy a morning coffee on the country porch overlooking the vineyards.

Cozy guest house on 5 acres of gorgeous property. Located in a beautiful countryside, close to the American river activities, gorgeous hiking and sightseeing. Please note that, while the property appears to be private, there are neighbors close by. The space
Spacious home with 300 feet of waterfront on the South Fork American River. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, updated kitchen, large wrap-around deck, 1 formal living room and 2 dens, 4 woodstoves. Beds include 1 king and 2 queens. The main level has 3 bedrooms, each with a nearby bathroom.

Riverfront - 4WD vehicles can drive down to the river area from the house, or there is a pathway to walk down as well. For those interested in swimming or dipping their feet into the water, please note that the entry into the river can be rocky and slippery; we do not have an easy sandy beach access area, so please use caution.

Guest access
Entire home, 4-acre yard with 300 feet riverfront. Please note: There is an outdoor flagstone patio located under the oak trees that IS NOT accessible to guest use. This area is for use of owners only. Our apologies for excluding this area, but It is too close to the neighbor's house and use of the patio ALWAYS results in a complaint or call to the sheriff, regardless of time of day/night.

Other things to note

Campfires: Are prohibited due to new county vacation rental regulations.

River chairs: There are red adirondack chairs at the riverfront that are locked with a cable lock. The code is 9110. Please return the chairs to the original location and relock after use.

Internet: We have the best internet service available in this valley. It is often slow and sometimes unreliable.

Phones: Please note that AT&T cell phones may not in this area. Verizon and Sprint both work well.

Pets: Pets are not allowed.

Smoking: Please do not smoke inside the house.

Televisions: There are 3 TVs - one in master bedroom, one in upstairs den, and a large flatscreen in the downstairs den. These are all smart TVs for using Netflix/Amazon/DVDs, etc but please note there is NO CABLE/SATELLITE service available.

There are two properties that share the riverfront area (6791 and 6801). You may encounter folks from the other house, though there is plenty of riverfront space to spread out.

Please note that this area has a strict noise ordinance for quiet hours starting at 10PM. Please be respectful of this time limit, as noise travels quite well along the river. Also, excessive noise or loud amplified music are not allowed at any time.

River fun: Water flows on the South Fork of the American River are controlled by the upriver Chili Bar Dam. Water is released at certain times of the day and certain days of the week, which fluctuates throughout the year and depending on rain conditions and power needs. Please check Dreamflows website for a schedule of anticipated release times, and note that the water typically rises at our house around 1-2 hours after release from the dam.

The River Store nearby should be able to take care of your watersports needs. The section of the river that the house is on, is called "C to G", and is ~ class 2 whitewater. Our home is located downriver from a rapid called Gremlin, and just upriver from a rapid called Old Scary.

Located on a quiet eddy at the river's bend, this updated 1946 cabin on 4 acres is the perfect mix of hidden solitude and in-town location. Come dip in the river, play in the creek, lay in the sand, launch or land your craft! Fish, pan for gold, play fetch with Fido! Watch rafts, kayaks, SUP's float down the river--from the beach, covered deck, or living room. This cabin features 3 bedrooms and a large living room; the separate guest house may also be rented to provide a private, charming 4th bedroom. You will fall asleep to the sound of the river and babbling creek below! For larger parties a second cabin on the property may be available; cabins are situated to ensure full privacy yet offer convenient access if desired. Many activities and sightseeing opportunities abound locally--Gold Rush history, rafting, biking, hiking, and other Wild West adventures!

- "We were a multigenerational party of 8 and had a great time at this house. The location is perfect; the area has a lot to offer for a variety of interests (Placerville, rafting, Sutter Mill). However, we spent a few days just lazing on the river and relaxing, which appealed to all age groups. The house and property were as described on the website - no surprises. We especially valued the dining table where we could all eat together as well as a comfortable living room area where we could play games evenings. Jane was great and answered all our questions, and responded quickly during our stay as well. We would love to visit again!"

This is a farmhouse loft above the barn, on a ranch in the Northern California gold country. I am conveniently located between Auburn and Placerville CA. Down at the end of my street is one of the trailheads to Cronan Ranch park with miles of trails for horseback riding, biking and hiking, and river rafting.
There are several other parks I can recommend!

A great place to get away and be able to have privacy, if that's what you prefer. You are welcome to visit with all the animals on the ranch! I will leave treats for the goats and cows downstairs on the shelf below the stairs.

The loft has a modern rustic decor with a wonderfully comfortable organic hybrid queen size bed and luxurious linens that are dried on outside line during nice weather, for wonderful fresh clean air smell! There is a loveseat that pulls out to a single bed and there is also a fold up floor mat for the littles if needed. There is a Pac N Play for infants as well as a baby gate.

The kitchen is adequately stocked with most things you could need. If there is anything you see missing, please let me know, so it can be added!

There is a shared (with owner) pool for the hotter months behind the main house with access through a side gate by the round pen We strive to give you privacy by the pool!

We also have a large summer garden by the pool, and love to share the organic bounty and with our guests! Please take a stroll through the garden and pick your fresh veggies for your dinner! For more outside time, there is a picnic table, some outdoor furniture under a pergola, and a small propane BBQ and well as small Webber BBQ down by the barn for your use! There’s also have a fire pit and chairs by the barn. Please keep the screen on the fire pit if you choose to use it. There is a S’mores box in the loft for making them at the fire pit!

The ranch loft is private, quiet and the sounds of nature surround you. Guests are welcome to bring up to 2 horses. A small back deck looks out over paddock where guest horses are staying. Room to park one rig. No animals are regularly housed in the barn. No dogs please! My livestock guard dogs love guests but see other animals as predators.

The outside dogs are all friendly with guests. The Anatolians are Teddy, his sister Stella and her daughter Hazel. Hazel often barks at first, but gets accustomed to the guests quickly. I would just ignore her. You may also encounter the bassets, Willow and her daughter Winter!

NEWS FLASH! We have an adorable mini Zebu cow called Fiona and her little sister Frances has joined her! The goats and chickens will run to you for treats and we keep some treats on a shelf in the barn under the stairs. You are welcome to go in with the goats for scratches and rubs…but they get pretty excited about snacks, so I would do that from outside of the fence!

The horses, minis, goats, and chickens were fun too. Nice room in the barn loft that had everything we needed. And don't forget to try the LED pool light and all the colors it offers as well as the fountain that streams down from above. All combined to make memories you won't soon forget! And with a removable pool fence, you can rest easy knowing when the fence is up, the pool is safe for children of all ages no matter the time of day or night.

The house also boasts a large kitchen with 13 foot island, two dishwashers, side by side fridge/freezer and 6 burner range. With lots of cabinet and countertop space and fully stocked with dishes, cookware and everything you'd need to prepare meals, it's the dream kitchen for any group.

With the whole house being newly remodeled, each bedroom feels like the lap of luxury as you enjoy the new furniture, bedding and décor.

The house is placed in the perfect location for a getaway. At the end of a court there is no traffic and you can just enjoy nature and have a great time with your group. You're surrounded by nature but only 20 minutes from anything you need. As well as enjoying many of the attractions close by.

- "We rented this beautiful, peaceful property for my husband's 50th birthday, whitewater rafting weekend. There were six of us in our group, that included two children. The house is close to the town of Coloma where we were rafting, about a 20-minute drive into town. The property is spacious, with two bonus cottages adjacent to the main house. Plenty of space for everyone. The host graciously provided coffee and creamer and offered mint and rosemary from her garden. Just lovely. At night, it was calm and peaceful with the sound of a horse neighing in the distance and frogs croaking from the pond. During the day you can enjoy your coffee on the balcony, sitting on the swing chair by the pond enjoying the view, or walking in the garden. And the sunsets at the end of the day are divine! The house was clean, with a fully stocked chef's kitchen. The living room was cozy with plenty of seating for our group, and extra blankets to keep us warm and cozy. There was a great selection of board games to keep us entertained, and we found a star night light projector to gaze up at the stars in the living room. The house has a zen, peaceful vibe with beautiful serene decor, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, and warm natural light spills into the house every morning! My son loved having the upstairs loft to himself. The loft has french doors that open out to a private balcony!"

This hosted rental is the perfect little getaway in the country. It is located on a mini farm complete with goats, chickens, dogs and a huge garden that guests have access to using. We are close to ALL the outdoor activities you can think of including hiking, mountain biking, river rafting, hunting and more. You can even be at a ski resort in under an hour from door to lift!

This is a 220 sf tiny house with a loft. It is small but cozy and has all the amenities you need. (*Please note that the loft requires you to climb up and down a ladder safely. If you are not able to do this, please do not book this space.) The tiny house has a nice size deck that overlooks our goats pasture. The entire property is available for you to use. You can pet the goats, visit the garden and use anything you find in there, get fresh eggs daily from the chickens and more! We do not have a tv but we do have WiFi so bring your laptops and iPads for streaming, or unplug and enjoy the escape to nature!

Please note that this is a hosted rental which means we live on the property. This is a working (mini) farm that requires us to walk the property and care for our animals often. If you are not comfortable with dogs, please do not book your stay here. Our dogs are very friendly but WILL come say hi to you often.

Our pool is the largest in the county at 160,000 gallons! Please swim with caution as there is no lifeguard on duty. Please be mindful of the black tiling on the back of the pool- it is not meant to be walked on or sat on as it is slippery and gets hot in the summer.

Dogs are allowed in the water as long as they are well-behaved and do not impact the experience of other guests.

Our guests speak of the serenity and safety they feel here; the areas they can walk right from their porch. Three of the eight acres are separated by a thick of trees allowing for a private getaway for those wanting some escape from modern life. Guests can access the pool, patio, parking, and property. We also have a outdoor ping-pong table that can be set up for guests. The outdoor clothes line is great for drying beach towels and river soaked clothes. Washer and extensive clothesline are available right off the guest patio.

The lower level is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, a living room with a couch and TV, a common area with a dining table that seats 4, a bathroom and a washer and dryer space. The upper level is where you will find both bedrooms and a full bathroom with beautiful views of the property. The property has a nice walking trail, fire pit, patio with lights, and amazing scenery. Ample privacy away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life! Enjoy sitting by the firepit, talking a walk around the nature trail, or sitting under the stars on one of the many deck spaces. You will have access to the whole home, with more than enough space to park. Located 10 minutes from the American River, 20 minutes to Placerville, 35 minutes to Folsom.

Set on the high point of 5 acres with views across the river to golden hills, this beautiful studio guest house has every comfort of home. Walk just 400 feet downhill and through the oak trees to see the river itself.

If you have never spent the night in a round structure with a cedar ceiling and a 5 foot skylight, you are in for a treat. Beautiful stained concrete floors add to the ambiance and keep it cool in the summer.

The property is located on the South Fork of the American River in the heart of the beautiful Lotus Coloma Valley. There are over 25 commercial rafting companies waiting to take you down the river if you don't have your own equipment. There is a river shuttle in the summer that takes boaters 10 miles up river or will pick you up 10 miles down river at the Folsom Reservoir take out. It leaves from Camp Lotus, just up the street..... Or stay "home" and just relax and watch the river go by.

You'll be staying within a few minutes of the Marshall Gold Discovery Park and Museum, numerous wineries, and hiking and biking in hundreds of acres of open space.

There is a main house on the property but you can not see the house from the yurt.

3 night minimum stay.

Guest access
Plenty of private parking for whatever you are driving. Access to the South Fork to put in or take out your raft or kayak or just sit with your feet in the river.

Other things to note
We do allow guests to bring a dog. We do not allow dogs unattended in the yurt unless they are crated. We live in an area of 5 or more acre properties and people do not have fences. There are some neighborhood dogs that do come to visit and are friendly. We request that your dog be on a leash if it is not under your voice control. We ask that you pick up after your dog. Thank you!

There is a 3 night minimum stay.

County ordinances have strict quiet hours (10PM-8AM), and loud or excessive noise may result in forfeiture of security deposit.

Outdoor/indoor campfires are prohibited due to new county rules

Pets: Pets are not allowed.

Internet: Starlink is the best wifi you can get that is available in the area. It does slow at times.

Riverfront: There isa pathway to walk down to the water, entry into the river is slippery - have some sort of water shoes and please use caution.

Phones: Most carriers are hit and miss, use the wifi calling at the home.

Smoking: Please do not smoke inside the house.

Televisions: One Smart TV located in the living room, no cable/satellite

There are two properties on each side of the home. You may encounter some friendly neighbors and can walk by the creek to the river freely.

It is pretty quiet in the evenings and for that reason there are strict noise ordinances for quiet hours starting at 9PM. Please be respectful of this time limit.

American River : The river outside the house isn’t always the same — its flow is controlled by the Chili Bar Dam upstream, which releases water on a changing schedule based on weather and power needs. Once they open the gates, the water level here usually rises about 1–2 hours later.

If you're planning to get out on the river, it's a good idea to check Dreamflows for the latest release schedule. Timing matters, especially if you're paddling, floating, or just curious to watch the river change.

This part of the river is known as the "C to G" section, a fun stretch with Class II whitewater—mellow enough for most, but still with some excitement. The house sits just below a rapid called Gremlin, and a little upstream from Old Scary.

Need gear or advice? The River Store down the road is a great spot to rent equipment or get local tips.
