- "We had a wonderful stay in Cool. The property is fantastic. It was clean and had an abundance of amenities. My kids loved the spa and fire pit. They enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and looking out at the expansive views of Cool. I found it so helpful that all the drawers in the kitchen were labeled with what was inside. It was so much easier to find things rather than opening and closing every drawer. And it was stocked with nearly everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms were clean and well supplied. The kids who stayed in the room with the bunk beds loved that they were given their own throw blanket and towel set on their bed. They each used their throw blanket to cuddle up on the couch with in the evenings. The town of Cool is just one intersection, but there is a lot at that intersection. There is a gas station, 2 liquor stores and several restaurants. So you didn’t have to go far to get what you needed. However there are a few other towns nearby if you did want to go to a little bit bigger town. We went white water rafting while we were there and it was very close by and easy to get to. The owners were very responsive to all my questions and super easy to work with. I would definitely stay here again. "

e) proof of purchase of one day event insurance naming Saureel Vineyards as the additional insured.
f) Larger areas around the lake are also available for such events and those fees increase as area and event amenities increase for events.

IF you meet the above criteria and receive the Owner's approval for your Event, you will be sent a pre-approval to INSTA BOOK this ranch home that WILL IN TURN SECURE YOUR DATES FOR YOUR EVENT. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES INSTA BOOK THIS RANCH HOME FOR AN EVENT WITHOUT THE OWNER'S WRITTEN APPROVAL.

CANCELLATION, FORFEITS CATASTROPHIC EVENTS, EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS & REFUNDS:

Owners have a strict cancellation policy. Once a booking for our property is received, the property is removed from the market for those dates and potential guest renters look elsewhere for their accommodations. We understand the challenges of planning travel during these times with variables we cannot control, however, we are a business and bookings that are cancelled less than 60 days prior to a scheduled stay negatively affect our ability to rebook our property for those dates.

Owners are not responsible or liable for unforeseen circumstances such as: Unfavorable weather, road conditions, catastrophic events, emergency evacuations, Acts of God, disruption of utility services, power outages, disruption of cable and/or internet services, malfunction or breakdown of appliances, boiler, water supply, sewers, hot tub, or other equipment malfunctions such as TVs. There will be no refunds or rebates given to Guest Renters as a result of any unfortunate circumstances that are outside of the Owner’s control within your stay.

If a catastrophe (hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood, fire, or wild fire etc.) or any situation simply beyond our control impairs the vacation rental stay, Owners are not responsible for finding alternate lodging for the Guest Renters or for the Guest Renters’ financial losses related to transportation or alternate lodging. There will be NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS. GUEST RENTERS ASSUME THE RISK OF LOSS IN THESE SITUATIONS.

ALL CANCELLATIONS MADE PRIOR TO A GUEST’S ARRIVAL DATE, REGARDLESS OF THE DATE WHEN THE CANCELLATION IS MADE, WILL INCUR A $150.00 CANCELLATION FEE. This cancellation fee will be deducted from the Guest Renter’s deposit/rent payment that was made at the time of booking.

Written Cancellation Notices made, regardless of the date the cancellation was made, will receive a 100% refund for the following items that were pre-paid by the Guest:

Cancellations made within any number of days prior to your confirmed stay due to “COVID SHUTDOWNS” will receive 100% refund. “COVID SHUTDOWNS” are described as shutdowns directed by County, State, and/or Federal officials in these situations:

1) El Dorado County
2) State of Nevada
3) National (USA)
4) GLOBAL

You will NOT receive a refund if you cancel due to the fact that either yourself, or someone else in your party, contracts COVID and needs to cancel within 30 days or less of your confirmed stay dates. In the unlikely event this would happen, the General Cancellation Policies below will apply:

ULTRA ADVANCED BOOKING cancellations that are made SIXTY (60) days or more before guest’s scheduled arrival check-in date will receive a 100% refund, minus the $150 cancellation fee.

Cancellations 59-31 days before check-in will receive 50% refund.
Cancellations 30 days or less before check-in will NOT RECEIVE A REFUND.

You can spend your vacation doing as much (or as little!) as you want, the surrounding area has plenty to offer, including: wine tasting, world-class white water river rafting, historic Gold Country, exceptional hiking, or boating on Folsom Lake. A short drive away will take you to the city and theater nightlife of Downtown Sacramento, and a bit further to gorgeous Lake Tahoe. Or just relax and enjoy a morning coffee on the country porch overlooking the vineyards.

Small Event Inquiries:
Please contact the winery for small events, up to 40 guests. Any guests/gathering invited by you to the property, in addition to the guests staying at the farmhouse, is considered a small event and must be arranged and approved in advance. Please call the winery to book a small event.

You will love this charming cute little get away. Perfect for those that want to unwind and get away from the rat race. Just 10 minutes to the South Fork of the American River. Raft, hike or fish this river. Historic Coloma State Park where the Gold Rush began is just 15 minutes away. Wineries are located on Hwy 49. Shop for Antiques in Placerville, visit Apple Hill in October. So many things to do all within 30 minutes of this home. Relax, read a book on the covered deck and listen to the wildlife in the area. Or stargaze in the open night air.

Unplug from the wires, detatch from technology and come spend some time in the Gold Country.

This is Horse Country. Cronin and Magnolia Ranch are 15 minutes away. Bring your horse to ride the 100 acres of trails.
Red Hawk Casino is nearby and Lake Tahoe is an hour away.
San Francisco is 3 hours away. Sacramento International an hour drive.

Cozy guest house on 5 acres of gorgeous property. Located in a beautiful countryside, close to the American river activities, gorgeous hiking and sightseeing. The property offers 2 seasonal ponds, lots of wild life, beautiful natural landscape. You will have an access to the hot tub, bbq, laundry room. You can bring your four legged friends with you. You also have an access to the pond house (attached in the pictures). It`s a relaxing area with furniture, electric fireplace, pond and a piano.

Newly remodeled, spacious home on 4.5 acres, 300 ft of riverfront. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, updated kitchen, wrap-around deck, 1 formal living room and 2 dens. Please note that, while the property appears to be private, there are neighbors close by. County ordinances prohibit excessive noise at any time, especially during quiet hours (10PM-8AM), and excessive noise may result in forfeiture of security deposit (loud noise or amplified music that may bother the neighbors is not allowed).

The space
Spacious home with 300 feet of waterfront on the South Fork American River. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, updated kitchen, large wrap-around deck, 1 formal living room and 2 dens, 4 woodstoves. Beds include 1 king and 2 queens. The main level has 3 bedrooms, each with a nearby bathroom.

Riverfront - 4WD vehicles can drive down to the river area from the house, or there is a pathway to walk down as well. For those interested in swimming or dipping their feet into the water, please note that the entry into the river can be rocky and slippery; we do not have an easy sandy beach access area, so please use caution.

Guest access
Entire home, 4-acre yard with 300 feet riverfront. Please note: There is an outdoor flagstone patio located under the oak trees that IS NOT accessible to guest use. This area is for use of owners only. Our apologies for excluding this area, but It is too close to the neighbor's house and use of the patio ALWAYS results in a complaint or call to the sheriff, regardless of time of day/night.

Other things to note

Campfires: Are prohibited due to new county vacation rental regulations.

River chairs: There are red adirondack chairs at the riverfront that are locked with a cable lock. The code is 9110. Please return the chairs to the original location and relock after use.

Internet: We have the best internet service available in this valley. It is often slow and sometimes unreliable.

Phones: Please note that AT&T cell phones may not in this area. Verizon and Sprint both work well.

Pets: Pets are not allowed.

Smoking: Please do not smoke inside the house.

Televisions: There are 3 TVs - one in master bedroom, one in upstairs den, and a large flatscreen in the downstairs den. These are all smart TVs for using Netflix/Amazon/DVDs, etc but please note there is NO CABLE/SATELLITE service available.

There are two properties that share the riverfront area (6791 and 6801). You may encounter folks from the other house, though there is plenty of riverfront space to spread out.

Please note that this area has a strict noise ordinance for quiet hours starting at 10PM. Please be respectful of this time limit, as noise travels quite well along the river. Also, excessive noise or loud amplified music are not allowed at any time.

River fun: Water flows on the South Fork of the American River are controlled by the upriver Chili Bar Dam. Water is released at certain times of the day and certain days of the week, which fluctuates throughout the year and depending on rain conditions and power needs. Please check Dreamflows website for a schedule of anticipated release times, and note that the water typically rises at our house around 1-2 hours after release from the dam.

The River Store nearby should be able to take care of your watersports needs. The section of the river that the house is on, is called "C to G", and is ~ class 2 whitewater. Our home is located downriver from a rapid called Gremlin, and just upriver from a rapid called Old Scary.

Located on a quiet eddy at the river's bend, this updated 1946 cabin on 4 acres is the perfect mix of hidden solitude and in-town location. Come dip in the river, play in the creek, lay in the sand, launch or land your craft! Fish, pan for gold, play fetch with Fido! Watch rafts, kayaks, SUP's float down the river--from the beach, covered deck, or living room. This cabin features 3 bedrooms and a large living room; the separate guest house may also be rented to provide a private, charming 4th bedroom. You will fall asleep to the sound of the river and babbling creek below! For larger parties a second cabin on the property may be available; cabins are situated to ensure full privacy yet offer convenient access if desired. Many activities and sightseeing opportunities abound locally--Gold Rush history, rafting, biking, hiking, and other Wild West adventures!

- "We were a multigenerational party of 8 and had a great time at this house. The location is perfect; the area has a lot to offer for a variety of interests (Placerville, rafting, Sutter Mill). However, we spent a few days just lazing on the river and relaxing, which appealed to all age groups. The house and property were as described on the website - no surprises. We especially valued the dining table where we could all eat together as well as a comfortable living room area where we could play games evenings. Jane was great and answered all our questions, and responded quickly during our stay as well. We would love to visit again!"

This is a farmhouse loft above the barn, on a ranch in the Northern California gold country. I am conveniently located between Auburn and Placerville CA. Down at the end of my street is one of the trailheads to Cronan Ranch park with miles of trails for horseback riding, biking and hiking, and river rafting.
There are several other parks I can recommend!

A great place to get away and be able to have privacy, if that's what you prefer. You are welcome to visit with all the animals on the ranch! I will leave treats for the goats and cows downstairs on the shelf below the stairs.

The loft has a modern rustic decor with a wonderfully comfortable organic hybrid queen size bed and luxurious linens that are dried on outside line during nice weather, for wonderful fresh clean air smell! There is a loveseat that pulls out to a single bed and there is also a fold up floor mat for the littles if needed. There is a Pac N Play for infants as well as a baby gate.

The kitchen is adequately stocked with most things you could need. If there is anything you see missing, please let me know, so it can be added!

There is a shared (with owner) pool for the hotter months behind the main house with access through a side gate by the round pen We strive to give you privacy by the pool!

We also have a large summer garden by the pool, and love to share the organic bounty and with our guests! Please take a stroll through the garden and pick your fresh veggies for your dinner! For more outside time, there is a picnic table, some outdoor furniture under a pergola, and a small propane BBQ and well as small Webber BBQ down by the barn for your use! There’s also have a fire pit and chairs by the barn. Please keep the screen on the fire pit if you choose to use it. There is a S’mores box in the loft for making them at the fire pit!

The ranch loft is private, quiet and the sounds of nature surround you. Guests are welcome to bring up to 2 horses. A small back deck looks out over paddock where guest horses are staying. Room to park one rig. No animals are regularly housed in the barn. No dogs please! My livestock guard dogs love guests but see other animals as predators.

The outside dogs are all friendly with guests. The Anatolians are Teddy, his sister Stella and her daughter Hazel. Hazel often barks at first, but gets accustomed to the guests quickly. I would just ignore her. You may also encounter the bassets, Willow and her daughter Winter!

NEWS FLASH! We have an adorable mini Zebu cow called Fiona and her little sister Frances has joined her! The goats and chickens will run to you for treats and we keep some treats on a shelf in the barn under the stairs. You are welcome to go in with the goats for scratches and rubs…but they get pretty excited about snacks, so I would do that from outside of the fence!
