Once you drive down the long gravel driveway, (4 wheel vehicle recommended in snowy weather). Upon opening the front door, you’ll step into the living room, which has a spacious feel due to the high ceiling.

Living Room: couch, chair, a 42” HDTV with DishTV , WIFI internet access, coffee table filled with games and cards, ceiling fan and a gas fireplace.

Dining/Kitchen: There is a full size refrigerator, range/oven, microwave, crock pot, blender, pots and pans, glasses, stemware, dinnerware and utensils for 8 people, grill utensils, coffee pot and filters, toaster, some miscellaneous spices, mixer, mixing bowls, mixing spoons, mixing cups, bottle openers, cutting board, dish towels, dish soap, garbage bags and cook books.

Bathroom: plush towels, toilet paper, hairdryer, first aid kit.

Master Bedroom: Queen bed, linen included, electric fireplace, TV, alarm clock.

Lofted bedroom: 2 Queen beds, linens included, 20" HDTV, desk with coloring books and crayons. This room has a low ceiling. A child can walk pretty easily, but adults have to walk hunched over. Clearance is 4 ft in the center.

There is a gas BBQ on the deck outside the kitchen, which overlooks the wooded valley. A dining room table with seating for 4 is also included.

LIVING AREA:
The living room features a gas fireplace and a new 32" HDTV and Blu Ray DVD player with a growing video library. Because of all the trees in this beautiful secluded wooded area, Cable TV and Satellite Dish systems are not accessible or available at this time. Please be sure to bring your own favorite DVDs to enjoy during your stay, as well.

There are two separate JJB Getaways properties located on this 10-acre parcel. Each rental has its own private driveway, outdoor living areas, and clearly defined yard space, sharing only a small portion of the entrance. Both homes operate independently and can be booked together or separately.

I set everything up for self check in. I am available if needed as much as possible but I do like to give my guest space so I will likely not be meeting my guest unless asked. I do enjoy getting to meet my guests occasionally but like I said- you will have your space.

Located half a mile off of a state road, you get the best of both worlds - a quiet space to hang out, and easy access to nearby towns and stores. This cabin is located on a dead-end road, about 0.5 miles off of State Road 62. This provides a quiet, secluded experience, but also gives you easy access to wherever you may want to visit. You’ll be around 15 minutes from Millersburg where you can find a Walmart, gas stations, fast food, and sit-down restaurants and desserts. You’ll also be about 30 minutes from Berlin, the heart of Amish Country, where many people come to visit the popular variety of shops and restaurants that it has to offer!

Guest Access:
There is plenty of parking space on the property. The cabin has a gravel driveway that extends up to a secondary cabin (not available for use), a large garage, and has several parking spaces on the front end as well. Guests can fit up to 5 vehicles easily, but we’d request no more than that without requesting permission.

The keys for entry are kept in a lockbox. There is a gate to get in at the front of the driveway, which has it’s own combination lock. The code for each is the same, and that will be provided to you the morning of your stay. We ask that you keep the keys in the lock box when you’re done opening things up so they do not get lost.

About the Space:
This space offers 3 private bedrooms, and one, open basement for a kids play area that contains two sets of full bunk beds. This adds up to 4 separate living quarters, with 7 beds in total, and the ability to sleep 10 people comfortably. The size and layout of this cabin offers spaces for kids to run around and enjoy the outdoors, play inside in a controlled environment, or watch TV/movies, all while still being able to offer more peaceful areas outside, or in the house, with a great view for rest and relaxation.

Transit:
This cabin is located on a dead-end dirt road, 1/2 mile off of State Route 62. It’s fairly steep, and may be a challenge to travel on for smaller or less powerful vehicles, especially if the weather is not ideal. We highly recommend bringing a larger vehicle that is more capable to perform in off-road terrain to ensure you have the best experience with your stay.

- "I was extremely happy with this property. If I'm ever looking for a larger place in this area again I would not hesitate to book it. We had a group of seven and there was plenty of room. There are three bedrooms and then one open room in the basement with additional beds. For us this worked out perfectly. The wrap around porch and fire pit area (with nearby hammock) were favorite hangouts during our stay. The kitchen was decently stocked with the basics and the outdoor grill worked nicely. It's great how close this is to both Mohican State Park and the heart of Amish Country. We had some concern prior to the trip due to the gravel road leading to the rental and the notation about not taking small cars. My daughter and son both were driving smaller cars but luckily neither had any problem. I would guess unless there is alot of rain or if it's winter and there is snow or ice then you should be okay."

The Gathering Haus is an outstanding rental nestled in the hills of Ohio's Amish Country, in Kidron, OH. This home offers so much; the unique floor plan allows for large areas to relax and mingle, as well as smaller social areas, indoors and out. There is ample parking for guests. There is a small 40ft walk to the Cabin front door. Guests are welcome to any outdoor space that is not attached to the front of Hosts Cottage(follow the maps). There are walking trails in the woods and through a meadow. There is a small private campfire space behind the cabin, as well as a large shared campfire space in the field.

You may run into the hosts or other guests on the trails, or out in the field picking blackberries. Guests are welcome to any of those paths.

These include Malabar Farm, Mohican lodge, King Wood Center, Mid Ohio race track, Snow Trails Ski lodge, Pleasant Hill Lake, and not forgetting the very popular Mansfield Reformatory where the Award winning film Shawshank Redemption was filmed. We are located in the heart of North Central Ohio, half way between Columbus and Cleveland. We look forward to welcoming you.

The space
The spacious bedroom offers a comfortable King bed with luxury bedding. The bathroom is right next door and includes everything you need for a hotel-worthy stay. The room also offers a mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave for the guest's use. We also provide a 50 inch television on the wall with cable and Netflix.

Guest access
Our guests will have access to 2 parking spots on a large private driveway, the king suite, the private bathroom, back deck, and our pool and spa. Use of our washer and dryer will be $5 for 2 loads of laundry or $3 for 1 load- we will provide detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheet.

During your stay
We will be around if needed, but we will give the guests as much space as they would like. We are for the most part out busy doing things, but there is usually at least one person on the property.

Other things to note
We have four dogs on the property but will be kept away from guests. You will experience dogs barking occasionally. If you do not like dogs, then our place may not be a good fit :(
