Welcome to our Cozy 1950s Ranch home, a charming apartment blending vintage character with modern comfort. Located within walking distance to Mansfield Hospital in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood, you'll enjoy serene surroundings and the sound of birds chirping outside your windows. This fully equipped apartment features 2 spacious bedrooms, a delightful kitchen, modern decor, and a tranquil backyard, and perfect for healthcare professionals, patients and visitors.

3 beds are listed and our large 2 bedroom apartment can easily accommodate 5-6 guests comfortably, however there are 2 full beds, and 1 inflatable queen mattress. The inflatable bed is huge and comfortable, however just note the third bed is inflatable.

I set everything up for self check in. I am available if needed as much as possible but I do like to give my guest space so I will likely not be meeting my guest unless asked. I do enjoy getting to meet my guests occasionally but like I said- you will have your space.
This is a second story Apartment so you will have to climb steps to get to the space, there is free parking alongside the building next door.

As you enter the foyer you ascend five steps into the living room which has a large picture window overlooking downtown Main Street. In the living room there is a window air conditioner and ceiling fan for the summer and an open flame gas heater and electric wall heater for winter time use only. There is a flat screen TV with Wi-Fi. The bedroom has a queen bed with 3 inch memory foam topper, high thread count sheets, large closet in large window making the room bright and cozy. There’s a bright kitchen that is fully equipped. We provide coffee and some basic kitchen cooking supplies.

located on West Main st. there is lots to do around here when the weather is nice, Mohican is only 5 min, movie theatre is around the corner, and a bike trail just down the road.
to get around downtown you are within walking distance of most of the little shops on Main st. also a bike trail going from town out to Mohican Adventures. There is no shuttle service in town.

Our Shower is a lower height due to the upper unit roof slope. People over 5'10" will bend over to shower. If steps or shower height is an issue this unit is not for you. - "This property was perfect for my daughter and myself during Miss Ohio week. The Recovery Loft is cozy and comfy. From the couch with chaise, the bed & bedroom, to the kitchen with a nice 4 top table and amenities. The owner provides shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower, along with a hair dryer. Broom, mop, and vacuum should you need it. The bed is comfortable and the room a perfect size. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking meals along with spices!! If you need extra sleeping space the couch turns into a bed and I believe there is an air mattress as well. You can control the air conditioning in multiple rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed the space and our stay. We will definitely stay again. A couple of notes, it is a decently steep staircase to the upstairs loft. The parking can get a bit wonky if people do not heed how the owner instructs everyone to park. And if you are over 5' 9" - it may be a challenge to take a shower. The ceiling is low. My husband was not able to shower when he came down for an overnight. Just some notes. Overall though- LOVE the property and we plan to stay again sometime. Owners are great and super sweet- they had a special touch and lovely note encouraging my daughter during pageant week! When we needed something, they brought it right over. Highly, highly recommend the Recovery Loft. "

The guest who books the reservation must be at least 21 years of age and is considered the primary guest. Maintenance, Safety & Access:
Routine maintenance or inspections may take place during your stay. In the event that building management, maintenance staff, or emergency personnel need to access the unit, we’ll do our best to provide advance notice. Guests are required to allow entry if needed. For safety reasons, tampering with smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, or other safety equipment is not permitted and may result in reservation cancellation.

Lockouts & Key Policy:
Lost keys, damaged lock devices, or lockouts may result in a replacement or service fee depending on the timing and circumstances.

Wi-Fi is provided as a courtesy. While we aim to provide reliable service, connectivity is not guaranteed and may be impacted by provider outages or high usage.

Cleanliness Expectations:

External Noise Disclaimer:
Construction or city maintenance near the property may occur. While we try to notify guests in advance, we cannot control or refund for external noise from neighboring activity.

- "Clean and roomy, booked for location and separate bedrooms/baths. Quiet stay. Had to fix thermostat ourselves to get the AC working and one of the showers wasn’t usable. Had no water pressure (checked the shutoffs but they looked ok). Pre arrival email mentioned parking pass in lockbox but found only keys. After some back and forth with support just had the license plates for our vehicles reported to office. Support was prompt in contacting property for maintenance issues but no one ever showed. Properly also no reply when inquiring about parking passes for 2 vehicles prior to arrival. "

Guest Requirements & Screening:
The guest who books the reservation must be at least 21 years of age and is considered the primary guest. The primary guest is responsible for the reservation, must be staying at the property during the reservation period unless prior written approval has been granted, and is fully accountable for the conduct of all individuals included in the reservation. Any violation of house rules by the primary guest or their invitees will be the responsibility of the primary guest and may result in fees, penalties, or early termination of the stay without refund.

This property offers self-check-in. For the safety, security, and protection of all parties, we require all reservations to complete an identity verification and background screening through a secure third-party service. The verification process includes submitting a valid government-issued photo ID and a live selfie to confirm identity. The name on the ID must match the name on the reservation. This must be completed and approved before check-in instructions will be released.

Security Deposit & Violations:
A $250 pre-check-in security deposit may be required to cover incidentals or damages. This deposit is fully refundable after check-out, provided no violations or issues occur. A minimum fee of $250 may be charged if any house rules are broken, including but not limited to unauthorized parties, smoking, unapproved pets, tampering with devices, or exceeding occupancy limits. Serious or repeat violations may result in immediate cancellation of your stay without refund.

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the unit, in common areas, and on the property.
Parties, events, and disruptive behavior are not permitted.
Pets are not allowed.
Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM. A warning will be issued for noise complaints; a second complaint may result in removal from the property without refund.
All guests must be registered. Maximum occupancy limits must be followed at all times.
Do not move furniture, décor, or appliances.
Tampering with Wi-Fi routers, smart devices, security cameras, or locks is strictly prohibited.
Mail or package delivery is not allowed. The host/property is not responsible for lost, delayed, or returned deliveries.

The building is located in a multi-unit residential property, and occasional noise from neighboring units may occur. Maintenance, Safety & Access:
Routine maintenance or inspections may take place during your stay. In the event that building management, maintenance staff, or emergency personnel need to access the unit, we’ll do our best to provide advance notice. Guests are required to allow entry if needed. For safety reasons, tampering with smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, or other safety equipment is not permitted and may result in reservation cancellation.

Lockouts & Key Policy:
Lost keys, damaged lock devices, or lockouts may result in a replacement or service fee depending on the timing and circumstances.

Desk with comfortable office chair for our business travelers.
Washer and dryer are located right outside of unit.
While there are other long term occupants in the building, it is a nice quiet location. Guests can visit the Ohio Light Opera, The College of Wooster, Smucker's in nearby Orrville, great walking and bike trails, golfing at Hawk's Nest and Amish Country in nearby Holmes County. This is also a great place for business professionals or parents of College of Wooster or ATI students.

Guests are welcome to use the complex's common laundry area free of charge which is located in the central hallway right outside of the apartment.
The kitchen is supplied with basic cooking items, but please let us know before hand if there is anything special you might need. If you have a traveler with gluten-free needs, please let us know so we can adapt our snacks accordingly. Wifi is available throughout unit.

Other things to note
There are several steps upon entering the building and also a step down into the bedroom.
We have cable TV with high speed wireless internet through out the unit. Also available is an HDMI cable to use with our 50" TV.
Absolutely no smoking or pets.
While we don't allow pets in our apartments we would recommend The Pet Hotel in Wooster (a 5 minute drive away) should you choose to bring your furry family member along.
Our apartments are equipped with video surveillance for enhanced security for our guests. There are two security cameras on site - one is located outside in the parking area and the other is inside the hallway that adjoins the apartments.

Guests are welcome to use any outdoor space. When using the pool are pond ( for fishing)we ask that children are with an adult at all times. No guests outside of the reservation unless permission was given. This is a shared space with other guests and we use it as well. No lifeguard on duty.

If you are staying for a week or longer trash pick up is Tuesday mornings. Please take your garbage to the front of the house and place the trash next to the two garbage cans.

The Summer Kitchen is a country retreat apartment in the heart of Amish Country, Ohio. We are 5 minutes from Kidron, 25 minutes from Mt .Hope and Berlin tourist attractions. This private getaway for two adults comfortably offers a quiet country view of farmland and surrounding country living, atop a hill with beautiful sunsets. It's aptly named The Summer Kitchen because this structure was once used as the kitchen for all the summertime canning and cooking for farmstead living.

Note: This is an original 1950's home featuring a lovely "of the era" vintage bathroom and kitchen, completely in tact. We worked hard to preserve the original design integrity, including fixtures like lighting, tiling and more, which means keeping all components (sometimes its more expensive to repair than buy new, but we believe keeping the original keeps its character!). For example, the tub is an original cast iron made tub ("they dont make them like they used to!"), and while it shows signs of its age (it is nearly 80 years old!), it is clean and completely functional. Thank you for understanding and appreciating our "old house", and all of its character intricacies.
