I was suprised how much noise was kept out too. A screaming match started in the hallway but with the door closed even our light sleepers were able to sleep through it. "

- "Stayed here during a business trip to cover the HOF enshrinement ceremonies, only a 25 minute drive to Canton. Great place to stay. Convenient no contact check in process. Nice bedrooms, comfy beds (too many pillows for me, but I’m a one pillow guy.. haha). Lots of extras, loved the selection of coffee and snacks provided (wish I would have known, I wouldn’t have brought so much of my own stuff). High quality linens! Only negatives I would have is the A/C unit seemed to struggle after a day of use, it started making some loud noises. Also, the fan in one of the rooms is broken… every time I went to adjust the angle it would just slowly angle towards the ceiling. The rooms tend to get a little stuffy if you like to sleep with the door closed, so the fans were a needed addition. Minor inconveniences at most, certainly nothing to detract from a great weekend. Overall, out of 5 stars this place gets a 4.8 from me. Great spot!"

About The Neighborhood

Highland Square is known for being one of the more eclectic neighborhoods Akron has to offer. Home to many artists and musicians, the neighborhood is diverse, progressive, and known for being LBGTQIA+ zone.

Within walking distance of the apartment, you can find bars like Ray’s & Mr. Zubs or listen to live music at the Mustard Seed cafe. Take a walk across the street you’ll find the infamous Highland Square theatre. A beautiful historic theatre since 1938, enjoy a movie for $5 a ticket and a drink as they have a full bar inside. Right next to the theatre, you’ll find Square Records where you can buy an album to play at the Airbnb. Down the way you have nightclub Square. Then don't forget to stop by Angel Falls Coffee for a pastry and coffee. Mary Coyle’s has amazing ice cream and the tattoo shop has some pretty great artists.

The home is a a residential neighborhood with storefronts across the street. Garbage trucks come every Monday (Tuesdays when Monday is a holiday) between 7-10a. There is not a house next to the unit but a micro farm and apiary.

The space
The 3rd floor is a completely separate and private unit. When you first enter, it is an open area combining the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Off of this is the full bathroom, as well as the bedroom with a comfy queen size bed. The gray futon in the living room folds out into a spare single bed, and the linens and pillow for this are in the wicker coffee table.

The TV in the living room is set up a little weird. The roku controller will turn on the tv and control almost all functions. However, to use the soundbar, you will need to turn the Roku volume to 0 and use the Sony remote to control the soundbar power and volume.

Both TV's have several streaming services set up on them. Just use the guest accounts if you use them. Or you are more than welcome to log into your own accounts. Currently, we have Netflix, Hulu (w/ ads), Max, and Apple TV+ set up for use.

The space
The apartment has been completely renovated. There is brand new carpet and flooring, a new bathroom, new windows with a rustic décor! The open floor plan has the living area open to the kitchenette/dining area which is spacious and bright. There is a cozy reading nook you can unwind in. The bedroom is extremely spacious with a large closet, and an work area with desk, calendar and office chair. The apartment is located in the attic of our building and the space is approximately 650 square feet. Due to the apartments location this is not for the faint of hearts, there are 40 stairs to get to the apartment. Once you arrive you will be pleased with your accommodations and will not feel guilty eating that extra piece of cake!

About The Neighborhood

Highland Square is known for being one of the more eclectic neighborhoods Akron has to offer. Home to many artists and musicians, the neighborhood is diverse, progressive, and known for being LBGTQIA+ zone.

Within walking distance of the apartment, you can find bars like Ray’s & Mr. Zubs or listen to live music at the Mustard Seed cafe. Take a walk across the street you’ll find the infamous Highland Square theatre. A beautiful historic theatre since 1938, enjoy a movie for $5 a ticket and a drink as they have a full bar inside. Right next to the theatre, you’ll find Square Records where you can buy an album to play at the Airbnb. Down the way you have nightclub Square. Then don't forget to stop by Angel Falls Coffee for a pastry and coffee. Mary Coyle’s has amazing ice cream and the tattoo shop has some pretty great artists.

The home is a a residential neighborhood with storefronts across the street. Garbage trucks come every Monday (Tuesdays when Monday is a holiday) between 7-10a. There is not a house next to the unit but a micro farm and apiary.

Close to supermarkets Mustard Seed, Whole Foods, and Acme. Walgreens is conveniently located within walking distance if you forget or need to pickup anything.

This house has 900 square feet and is very comfortable for a night stay or a week stay or more. It has been updated with new flooring, paint, lighting, appliances and new bathroom. Both bedrooms have brand new beds and bedding. The living room has a brand new futon that folds out to a double bed. New TV in living room. Bathroom is equipped with towels, soaps, shampoo, all accessories needed for your overnight stay along with a First aid kit on site.

This is a very old but quaint home that sits up high in this apartment setting. Bay window in dining area lets you view the town. The north window overlooks the river next to the house flowing westward. Normally quiet and comfortable to hang out in during the day. Plenty of light and sunshine in the home.

Also, if two bedrooms are used but only one couple is booked for the trip, there will be an additional room cleaning charge assessed to the bill. The Keystone house consists of two apartments on the second floor of a large 1906 home and an owners unit on the first floor. Ample off street parking and shared laundry in the basement. Very recently finished renovating and furnishing this apartment. It is very cozy. We want you to feel like your home. Please explore the historic neighborhood. The Keystone House is on the National Register of Historic Places. The historic Hall Park Allotment consists of 42 houses and 2 churches all on the historic register. Traveling with more friends or family? Larger groups consider booking both units on the second floor for the ultimate stay.

You will access the second floor from the enclosed back porch of the home. Up the exterior stairs to the entry door. There is a smart lock to enter and then a lock box with physical apartment keys just inside the door. There is another smart lock on the rear of the home for access to the laundry space. Entire Apartment is private with a private entrance. You'll have your own porch/outdoor space and are welcome to use our front yard as well. You will receive a front door code upon check-in. Code is changed with each guest for your peace of mind. (And mine!)

The space
This space is on the first floor of a small apartment house. The Unit entrance is located on the side of the house accessible via its own private entrance. The air conditioned living area has a full kitchen and a living area with 3 chairs and a TV. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, a rollaway bed, a Tv, as well as a luggage stand. Your bathroom is off of the bedroom.

The building was built in 1927 offering true Vintage Charm, with beautiful architecture, hardwood floors, and a vintage tiled bathrooms. In the dining area you will see the original wooden call box that the manager used to communicate with their tenants. This is only used for decoration now so enjoy but please do not touch.
