Have fun with the whole family at this stylish place. Master Bedroom features Victorian furniture with an adjustable bed, mini refrigerator and a wall mounted television for your comfort. The master bedroom also has a half bath for your convenience.

Each of the remaining two bedrooms also have individual mini refrigerator and bedroom #2 also has a wall mounted television. Each Bedroom has a queen bed that can sleep two people per room for a maximum of 6 folks. If 3 separate people the maximum occupancy is 3 and if couples the maxi occupancy is 6, two per room.

The living room feature a beige leather sectional, a 70’ wall mounted television, a quiet state of the art fan for your comfort. A full kitchen with a laundry room.

Security:
We have security cameras at the front and side of the building and in the foyer areas. In addition we have three security doors with dead bolt before anyone can gain access to the unit.

RULES
We do not permit smoking in the units, illicit drugs, illegal business transactions, human trafficking or any form of parties in the unit. No additional occupants are permitted to stay overnight without registration and additional fees that may or may not be applicable. In the case of emergency we want to make sure we know how many guests that are in the unit so we can account for them. This is a family friendly unit and we do not permit clandestine activities such as private drug parties, sex parties, prostitution disguised as massages, wild bedroom escapades and such like behaviors. The Austin-Lake home was originally built in 1837 with Lucy Lake, a tailoress plying her trade as Hudson's local tailoress/seamstress for the duration of 34 years until her passing in 1877. Mrs. Lake is proudly noted as the sole owner of 230 North Main Street. Lucy's mother, Lucinda Hurn Markillie also lived with her daughter until her passing in 1850. Lucinda is known for an existing journal she wrote while immigrating from Lincolnshire England in 1833 aboard the well known fast sailing ship - The Westmoreland. The original historically significant journal much studied by scholars for its many insights into early 1800's immigration is beautifully written and meticulously preserved. The leather bound journal today rests in the Hudson Library Historical Archives. The charming Austin-Lake home has housed many historically important residents along its journey in Hudson, Ohio. One of the most notable includes Percy Dresser, Hudson's Clock Master and sole owner of Lucy's House for over 30 years from 1922-1955. As an influential member of the community, Percy Dresser was a staple of Hudson and lived in Lucy's House while serving as Night Watchman, Constable of the Township, Marshall, and Street Commissioner aside from Custodian of the Clock. The Greek Revival farmhouse remains true to its original build with its facade, charming covered front porch and fenced red brick courtyard. The home is lovely inside and out, beautifully preserved and restored. The essence of a bygone era with all its charm and character is proudly on display in Hudson’s prominent downtown historic district. Lucy’s House is a treasure beyond its historical significance. The character of the early Hudsonites who courageously journeyed from far and wide to make Hudson, Ohio their home is best felt on Main Street with its many charming shops and restaurants. Lucy’s is steps away from coffee shops, restaurants, and stores and the building is very cool. Our host was extremely helpful and the attention to detail was top-notch. - "This was a great place for my brother and I to stay while in the Cuyahoga Falls area. We had plans to go to Blossom Music Center for a concert. This rental was on the 2nd story of a house. The place was very clean and there were some nice touches provided by the owners such as snacks, shampoo, and such. The place was recently remodeled with a lot of care by the owners and the location was great. Google maps had the address as being across the street so it took a bit of searching to find the right place. We would come back!"

TVs in both the living room and studio bedroom. Skylight over the bed. Bring your own boat or enjoy the paddle boards we have here on the property. Walking distance to several different awesome restaurants! (Hot tub and sauna are down the stairs on the below deck and free for guests to use)

The space
Guest apartment has been fully renovated. It's approximately 600 sqft. Bed, bath and kitchen are on the upper level of the unit and the living room and dining area are on the main level. There is a pullout couch that is rarely used but we all know a pullout couch mattress is not the greatest! Steps to the upper level have a 7" rise and a 11.5" run (standard steps). Guest apartment is detached from owners home but is attached to a storage room. (Without bothering guest, owner will sometimes, though rarely, need to access the storage area through a separate entrance but usually only during 9-5 hours). Guest apartment has a 65” smart, TV and a 42” smart TV. The guest apartment is on the same parcel as the owners waterfront home but the apartment it’s up the hill from owners home and has its own vibe! 30 minutes to Blossom, ski resorts and Cuyahoga National Park. ENJOY!! ***note - with the increase of storms and the way electronics are made in these modern times, I can not always control things like WIFI and hot tubs and saunas, etc. I will do everything I can to make things right if something isn’t working but please note I can’t always fix Fri ha from afar****

Guest access
Guest have access to one side of one dock slip. Guest are welcome to use this slip if they want to bring their own boat or use the paddle boards if they are available to use. $50 pet fee but it will be returned to you through an outside app payment system if there is no damage or extra cleaning due to pet hair or yard dung cleanup. :). Lastly.....I have a really nice CrossFit rower in my basement that you are free to use. My basement is closed off and separate from my dwelling. So just ask and you are free to use if you'd like.
The hot tub and deck is free to use. The paddle boards are free to use. Paddles are in the rafters of the boat house.

Other things to note
There are steps (15-20 steps) down to the Studio Casita guest apartment if you park in the upper parking lot. You are welcome to also park in the lower level which is on the same level as the Casita. The driveway is a little step for some so many prefer to park in the upper lot and walk down the 15-20 steps. We do our best to have someone clear steps during snow season but we can not always keep up. It is ultimately the guests responsibility to clear steps of snow and ice if they are not already cleared.

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio is right next to Akron, 40 min south of Cleveland, and 30 min north of Canton. The beautiful Cuyahoga River runs through our downtown. Located in a quiet neighborhood, there is a patio with a grill to enjoy the warm evenings, and a fireplace out back for the cooler ones. A small kitchenette gives you options. Walking distance to a grocery, drug store, hospital, sushi, pizza and a nationally recognized restaurant, The Blue Door Café and Bakery, délicieux!

The space
Private space at the end of the house with separate entrance and parking space. There is a queen bed and a couch that is comfy and big enough to be a twin. Extra linens provided. Bathroom has standing shower. Kitchenette has fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishes & utensils. Sink is in the bathroom right across from kitchenette.

Guest access
The space is attached to the house but with separate entrance and designated parking spot. A key box is set up for self-check in. Code will be given at time of reservation.

TALL FOLKS: watch your head at door, awning is low (used to be a window)

SHORT FOLKS: kitchenette cupboards and shower head are higher than average. small step stool on cart in kitchenette.

KTICHENETTE does not have its own sink. the Bathroom sink is directly across.

A NOTE ABOUT THE DECOR: We call this the Goddess Lunette because the space is adorned with many depictions of goddesses (ancient and artistically rendered). If you are not familiar with goddess art, it centers on women and women's bodies. While none of it is sexual or risqué, it may bring up questions for younger children, that you weren't planning on answering while on vacation! I have included a collage of much of the art in the photos so you will have a better idea. We do have a book in the room that tells you who each goddess is and where they are from.

CATS: we have 3 cats that live in our household. They do not have access to the room. Should they sneak in at any point (you know how cats want in if you close the door!), we will make sure they are out of the space for a minimum of 24 hours after prepping room for a booking.

OUTDOOR FIREPLACE: The fireplace is available for your use. You may find us out there in the evening. Please join us! You can use it regardless and if you want a special evening fire to yourselves, give us a heads up so we don't interrupt.

OUTDOOR LIGHTING: Lights around parking, entrance and back fireplace are on a timer and will come on at dusk and automatically go offer around midnight.

You’ll love the stylish décor of this charming master suite that includes a pull out sofa bed. This suite offers sleeping accommodations for 4 people- a king bed and pull out sofa. This cozy suite is located in a quaint home with shared one and a half baths and breakfast included. It is country setting yet just about a 7-10 minute drive to the mall, stores, restaurants, and about 20 minutes to The Football Hall of Fame. A firepit and porch offer some outdoor enjoyment.

I have 2 cats that are not allowed in the guests' rooms. There is an air purifier that helps to remove any allergens. There have been many guests who have pet allergies and had no issues during their stay.

Thoughtfully furnished and decorated for your comfort, the guesthouse overlooks a beautiful pond and property. There two bedrooms (one of which has a dedicated workspace), living area, well-equipped kitchen, and full bath with walk-in shower. It’s perfect for families exploring the area or individuals looking for an inspiring, quiet workspace.

The guest house is situated in the upper level of our barn. Note: there are several steps leading up to the door! Guest have access to entire guest house as well as the shared fire pit area and entire property grounds. Catch and release fishing is available in the pond! You’re welcome to pick apples and blackberries in season. (Lower level of the barn is used for personal storage and is off limits to guests)

Please note this space is on the second level. Our Garage space is underneath. There are multiple stairs to get into the guesthouse (see outdoor pictures)

Most everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s not luxury by any means but it’s cute, clean and quiet; has a nice pool, fire pit and cool laid back hosts. We do not allow any events to be hosted here.

We do use the backyard to access our garage, grill etc. and we do water our flowers at night. We don’t deny ourselves access to the pool but we likely won’t be using it when we have guests here.

Other things to note
The main house is located across from the pool. When there's guests, I'm courteous and respectful of their privacy. The backyard accesses my garages, grill, patio etc. so from time to time I am in the yard. Although I rarely use the pool, I don't give up my privilege to use it if I should happen to want to cool off for a quick minute I DO NOT ALLOW ANY EVENTS TO BE HOSTED HERE.

Unique guest house located on an authentic farmstead. Property borders the Cuyahoga Valley National Park where countless adventures await. Walk to Brandywine Falls, the park's crown jewel, from the farm. It is a 10 minute walk. Nearby attractions include the historic areas of Hudson and Peninsula, and Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. Bucolic Amish country less than an hour drive. Cleveland and Akron city centers are not too far.

The space
Simple farm building entryway with four-foot wide carriage door opens into a great room with timbered cathedral ceiling with full kitchen, large dining table, and upholstered furniture. Small hilly pasture leading to a deep ravine can be seen out back windows. Enjoy watching the chickens from the deck or windows during the spring, summer and fall. Bathroom has a full-size shower.
There is a queen bed on the first floor. In addition, a rollaway bed is available for use on the first floor. The second queen bed is located in the loft area. A mini crib (18" x 35") or a Pack 'n Play is available upon request.

Our Pet Policy
A daily pet fee of $50 is required to allow pets on the property. This fee covers a deep cleaning to ensure the space remains safe and comfortable for future guests with allergies. Only one pet is permitted per stay, with a maximum weight limit of 40 pounds for dogs. If your pet is left alone in the home, it must be crated—a crate is provided by the host for your convenience. Please note, the farm is also home to a senior, friendly female Great Pyrenees named Sugar, who has free roam of the property.
