Located in close proximity to downtown, this Crandall Park North historic home's carriage apartment is peaceful and private with a full kitchen and clawfoot tub.

The space
The full-size kitchen is great for long-term stays. The living room looks east overlooking our and other homes on our street. The bedroom is small with a partially sloped roof, walk-in closet, and dresser. The bed is full size also known as a double bed. The kitchen windows look into a tree canopy where you will see a lot of bird activity in addition to the beautiful historic home next door. The living room windows look onto our brick courtyard, berry garden, a Hawthorne tree, and Selma Avenue. The carriage house is the 2nd floor of a 3-car stand-alone garage. Upon entering you will need to go up a flight of stairs to the unit.

Guest access
You will be able to get around most conveniently by car, but the WRTA (bus) has a stop a short walk from our home. You will be able to park in our courtyard right next to the carriage house. We are right across the street from Crandall Park and the loop around the park is just over one mile and makes a great course for morning runs.

Other things to note
Located very close to the Youngstown State University, Butler Museum of Art, the Steel Museum, the Arms Museum, and many downtown eateries. We are one mile from Mill Creek Park that contains many biking, running, and walking trails, Lanterman’s Mill, and Fellows Riverside Gardens. St. Elizabeth's Hospital is a five-minute drive.

The Fenton Room can be found on the second floor of the Sturgis House, overlooking East Liverpool's West Fifth Street. A large alcove surrounded by windows allows just enough room for the beautiful wooden writing table and chairs, perfect for sitting with a cup of tea and writing a note to a friend. Original parquet floors and original fireplace have been fully restored. The handsome cherry four-poster bed is so high off the ground, a stool is provided to help guests into bed at night.

The Longton Room is on the second floor. Filled throughout with handsome cherry furniture, the Longton Room also features a restored, pink bubble glass chandelier, polished wooden parquet floor and plush upholstered love seat. One wall in the room is enhanced by an original fireplace (though currently non-working), but its hand-painted accents and workmanship make one marvel about those days gone by.
