This secluded, unique, and completely furnished treehouse is 18'X24', including the deck, nestled approximately 17' up overlooking the river on a private 40 wooded acre parcel: river, ATV, snowmobile trail access. Perfect to accommodate small groups for late-season hunting, ice-fishing, or snowmobiling. Space for trailers and multiple snowmobiles. Take a boat ride down the secluded Somo River and enjoy a swim along its sandy shores. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays watch the Kwahamot Ski Show, the show begins at 7:30pm at Kwahamot Bay. Spend a day at Timm’s Hill, the highest point in Wisconsin about 25 mi west from the home. Spend a day at Lake of the Torches Casino, about 45 mi away. The master bedroom includes a full size bed with a large closet and a window unit air conditioner. The second bedroom provides a twin bed with a small office area. The living room has a comfortable queen sized sofa bed and also has a window unit air conditioner. This charming home also has a large front porch, perfect for relaxing outdoors. The home is located in Wausau's River Front District, just a few blocks from restaurants, bars, a great bakery and historic Downtown Wausau. Within a few blocks of our home you can watch the Wisconsin Woodchuck's play at Athletic Park, launch your kayak in the Wisconsin River, or grab some deep fried cheese curds at the B&R Grill and Swill. This newly built duplex is settled at the end of Hickey Ave on a large peninsula with plenty of room for parking and outside activities. Just a few outside features include two private docks, sandy frontage, a spacious yard, a large deck with seating, strawberry garden.
This spacious two bedrooms lower unit sleeps 7 and is decorated in a modern Northwoods style. The bedrooms consist of a queen suite with plenty of storage and outside access to the porch area, a double and a twin bedroom with closet storage, and a large bathroom. Pull out couch bed in living room. 3 bedroom upper is also for rent if you have a larger group. Some great inside features include a spacious living and dining room area with a gas fireplace should you run into cold nights and a TV with CD/DVD/Blue Ray player. Both entryways provide an easily accessible kitchen, and pantry.
Bath, beach, kitchen towels, and bed linens are provided along with extra pillows and blankets. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo conditioner and other toiletries. The kitchen contains dinnerware, utensils, cookware, coffee maker, reusable food containers, water bottles, and pantry items. A grill and dining set can be found on the outside porch — dining room table seats eight and four seats at the high-top counter. Freshly filtered water dispensed from the fridge makes it easy to refill water bottles and glasses.
In the evening, relax around the fire or take a short walk down the road to Castaways Bar and Grill, with a great view of Lake Mohawksin with great fishing and 2000 acres of water to explore. Bars, Restaurants, ice cream, water ski show, bait shop, boat rentals, kayak rental, summer music in the park all on this body of water. Lake Mohawksin Shores is also located 1.3 miles from downtown Tomahawk where there are food, shopping, and entertainment opportunities during the day.

The Bunkhouse is set in a heavily wooded area and with woods come the chance to see many things in nature from deer to birds and squirrels. As a reminder if you’re sitting outside there can be mosquitoes and spiders, we do treat the yard and the surrounding areas to try cut the activity down.

You are near nothing as long as you’re OK with that. If it got cooler when you turn down the air and there would’ve been a coach to spread out and relax I definitely would’ve gave it. Five stars."

This spacious two bedrooms lower unit sleeps seven and is decorated in a modern Northwood style. The bedrooms consist of a queen suite with plenty of storage and outside access to the porch area, a queen and a twin bedroom with closet storage, and a large bathroom. Some great inside features include a spacious living and dining room area with a gas fireplace should you run into cold nights and a TV. Both entryways provide an easily accessible kitchen and pantry.
Bath, beach, kitchen towels, and bed linens provided extra pillows and blankets. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and other toiletries. The kitchen contains dinnerware, utensils, cookware, coffee maker, reusable food containers, water bottles, and pantry items. This spacious home is located on beautiful Lake Alexander just west of Merrill, Wisconsin. Enjoy the tranquil view year-round as you plan the many activities that this location offers. You bring the boat, and we'll supply the dock. Throw in your ski's or wakeboard, and don't forget your fishing poles! Three pound small mouth bass are not uncommon and the monster's of fresh water fish, the musky, are plentiful. Add in walleyes, crappies, northern pike and this location is a fisherman's dream!

The space
Water is not the only summer attraction here at Big Bear's Den. The house also offers direct access to hundreds of miles of ATV and UTV trails. When summer fades and the ground turns white, the rumble of snowmobiles can be heard in the distance. Yep, this home has direct access to hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails too. If you prefer a non-motorized adventure, Granite Peak Ski Resort is a short 35 minutes away (for the downhill ski enthusiast) and Nine Mile County Forest Recreational area, along with many other cross country skiing and hiking trails are also available nearby. Spend a couple of days, or spend an entire month (29 days) , you won't run out of things to do!

Other things to note
In the back yard a stairway leads right to the banks of Lake Alexander. Last year we added a brand new 32 foot dock right at the bottom of the stairway. It comes complete with a bench, so kick back and catch some rays or catch some fish! All conveniently located right in the back yard.

The property has a central gravel driveway that leads from county highway K to each tiny home. Io is the farthest tiny home from the entrance. Each tiny home includes two dedicated gravel parking spaces which are plowed during the winter time.

Inside, the home offers 5 spacious bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, perfect for groups or families. Three separate living areas (two have smart TVs), a game room with ping pong and foosball, and high-speed WiFi make it easy to relax and play indoors. The fully stocked kitchen is ready for your culinary creations, featuring stainless steel appliances, a Keurig and regular coffee maker, and all the essentials for your group meals. Fire up the propane grill and enjoy an outdoor feast, with propane provided!

There’s plenty of space to park, with a large driveway that can accommodate three vehicles with attached ATV\snowmobile trailers. The laundry room with washer and dryer makes it easy to stay fresh, and we provide all the towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap you need to feel at home.

Come relax in this beautiful riverside retreat. Located on the east bank of the Wisconsin River, this vacation home offers peaceful views. Enjoy sunsets from the private deck in the summer, or from the comfort of the couch by the fire in the winter. Enjoy the WI River by kayak, paddle board or pedal boat, all included with your rental. Hike the ice age trail, snowmobile, 4 wheel, fish from the pier or just relax by the wood burning fireplace. There's even dining right across the street!

The space
This is a two story home located in the country, along side the Wisconsin River. Here are a few amenities you can expect to find at our vacation home:

The river is a few yards from the back door and there is a public boat launch directly across the river. We offer 4 kayaks and 2 paddle boards for your enjoyment, along with a pedal boat that seats 2. We have various sized life jackets available, including some child sizes. There is also a small dock on the property you're able to tie your own boat to.

We are located about 6 miles west of Hwy 51 between Tomahawk and Merrill, with Minocqua about 45 minutes north and Wausau about 35 minutes south.

This home is in northern Wisconsin, the weather can be less than perfect in winter. We encourage you to purchase travel insurance as we do not accept cancellations due to weather conditions.
