He was even smoking while my kids were outside playing directly next to them. It was nice to have a TV in the room since it was bowl game weekend, but really there are just so many things to see and enjoy on the north shore. This location is much calmer than Waikiki and gives you a more authentic experience, but you will want to have a car to get around. The Polynesian Cultural Center is a short drive. There are also great food trucks and places to eat along the road. It was nice having a kitchen so we could bring food back to the condo and have cold drinks in the refrigerator. It was also nice having a washer and dryer in the condo. It was also nice to have a reserved parking space. We had one issue with the AC during our visit, and Sapphire was easy to get in touch with and had a handyman at the condo within a few minutes. The issue required an HVAC repairman, and Sapphire schedule it to be fixed while we were out. Within 24 hours of contacting Sapphire it was fixed. This is the BEST experience I have ever had with a property manager! Thank you Sapphire for genuinely caring about our vacation."

- "This studio villa worked perfectly for me and my husband while traveling with our 2 year old. There is a retractable room divider that we lowered at nap time and bedtime to create separation between the living space (where baby slept) and the King bedroom area. Additionally, the host provided a high chair, a travel crib, books, beach toys and blocks… all clean & high quality items that made our trip much more enjoyable. The lanai opens right up to the pool and private beach so the location cannot be beat. The only ding in my rating was for the lack of access to the gym mentioned in the listing, which the host quickly offered a credit for (we paid for a weekly pass to access the gym at Turtle Bay Resort.) Just to be clear, this villa is not managed by Turtle Bay Resort so we did not have access to their free amenities (gym, pool, lei making classes, etc). Host and property manager were attentive and communicative. Highly recommend this unit for couples and families with a small child."

Huge master bedroom. The master bed was so comfortable w great sheets! We loved sitting on the balcony watching the waves and surfers. The waves were right outside (bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper). This home has all the creature comforts! We had plans to sight see, but I almost preferred to stay at the house and the beach backyard. Privacy was great too! Host was very responsive and helpful. A Kaimaina home that is nestled on a quiet dead end street in the coveted neighborhood of Sunset Point. This one of a kind home has been in our family for over 70 years. Remodeled and completely refurbished, this is “country living” at its best. This two bedroom one bath home is air conditioned. A few steps out the door and you will be at one of the most famous surfing beaches in the world, Sunset Beach. Mothers Beach as it is known to the locals, is where local parents bring their Keiki (children) to frolic in the surf. We are just a few minutes drive to Chuns Reef, Pipeline (where surfers barrel thru the curling waves) Ehukai (Turtle Beach) Sharks Cove and Waimea Bay.
We offer a large backyard that is tropical and restful should you decide to “just be”.

Upon waking and making our coffee, we sit on the front porch where we hear the soft music of the birds blending with the sound of the surf rolling into the shore. Life becomes a moment of thoughtful steps. The smell of the salt air and the whisper of trade winds brings all of our senses to its maximum potential. Peace fills the many chambers of our thoughts, as we take in each moment with awe and the beauty of this special place. A stroll on the sand often leads to the discovery of beautiful shells that have washed ashore. Collecting them for a jar of treasures or to make beautiful shell jewelry is limited only by your imagination.

- "We’ve been to the North Shore several times over the past ten years (Sunset Beach area), but this house tops it all off. It was exactly as described. One review got it wrong, however: The house is not minutes away from the beach, it’s only seconds away! We stayed one month to watch – among other things – the 2 WSL CT events at Pipeline and Sunset. To Ehukai Beach Park it’s a 30-minute walk, so you don’t have to use the car. And you can watch the event at Sunset practically from your “home beach” (Mothers Beach) or walk 5 minutes if you want to listen to Rocky Canons beach commentary. There is one more thing I would like to point out: we were a party of 4 adults and my sister-in-law is a professional cook, who cooked for us every day. She was really amazed how well equipped the kitchen was. There was absolutely nothing that was missing! One last thing that we really enjoyed were the two huge lanais that gave perfect shelter from the rain which you have to expect in January & February. And I must not forget the perfect communication with Pat. Thanks again, Pat, for letting us share the real Aloha spirit."

This is a newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment on a large gated lot in a very secluded neighborhood on the North Shore. The property is located on a hillside above the ocean, (it is not beach front). It is a 3 minute drive from the property to the famous world class beaches and surfing of the North Shore. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and large bathroom with washer and dryer. Plenty of safe parking on the property. It is a downstairs apartment and the owner lives upstairs.The apartment has no stairs for a easy entry.

The apartment is the bottom unit of our home. Separate entrances and parking from owners. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with full laundry. First bedroom has queen size bed and 2nd bedroom has a queensize bed. The kitchen has everything to make you feel like home. Full size oven and fridge. Toaster, microwave, dishes, utensils, coffee pot etc. The bathroom has a toilet room and walk-in shower, vanity, full sizewasher and dryer. The apartment also has air conditioning to keep you comfortable.

We have lived on the property for over 35 years and are responsible adults in our 50's. We also like to have fun, on the weekends we may friends over for dinner parties and sometimes we may start our dirt bikes to go for a ride. We have 3 adorable dogs, Harley, Haze and Kaipo that may come down and say Hi. It is a great spot, with banana trees, papaya trees and taro on the property. A occasional peacock may show up. Its the perfect little get away! 90 day rental.

It was absolutely spotless and very well appointed with everything you need for short stay, including washer/dryer, beach chairs and towels, a hair dryer, a coffee maker, etc. The kitchen has nice, sharp Henckels knives, Crate & Barrel dinnerware, and even a cupboard with oils, vinegars and seasonings to cook a full meal at home. The lanai/screened-in porch backs to the golf course and was quiet and private. The unit also has ceiling fans and two A/C units in case the breezes aren't enough to keep you cool. The host has developed a binder with amazing recommendations on where to eat and what to do -- this thing is worth its weight in gold; it was spot-on! I could go on and on -- we didn't want to leave! Our property is great for anyone that wants to escape from the hustle of Waikiki. We are located near the north shore in what the locals call “the country”. Enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean and lush green mountains. Our property is a few houses away from a white sandy crowd less beach! There are a lot of great hikes, beaches and activities within minutes! Our place is newer and clean! We have 2 parking spots available. The kitchen and living room is very spacious and great for hanging out with your group! The kitchen has nice appliances including a dishwasher so you can cook for a group! The master bedroom is spacious with an attached master bathroom. The loft (considered the 4th bedroom) is big with 3 beds and a sofa bed that is fun for the kids, complete with entertainment center, tv, dvd player, books, games and toys and a little playroom nook! We also have a porta-crib if you are traveling with an infant or toddler. The downstairs room has a King bed with a mattress topper and is very comfortable and has a bathroom right next to it. The house is open and spacious, its new and clean!

Room for two cars to park in carport and in front of house. You are welcome to use the "toy box". It has chairs and a grill. It is a shared space with our other home next door.

* Located adjacent to the highway, where some road noise can be heard within the home. Street-crossing required to access the beach. Exercise caution with children. Outdoor beach supply shed is shared, while everything else on the property and within the home is private for your use.

* The North Shore is one of the best places on Oahu to find untamed Hawaii as nature created it. The flora and fauna native to our ecosystem are a part of its splendor. In addition to the brightly colored tropical fish, on land you can anticipate seeing houseplants the size of houses, wild chickens & roosters roaming around, adorable geckos, tropical birds and the full menagerie of insects that sustain them ... some rare and beautiful (ex. Kamehameha butterflies) and others are decidedly less so. We will always have a clean and well-kept place for you that includes routine pest control, but please be advised that little visitors are not uncommon, esp. if you decide to attract them with unattended food

Whether you want to cook all your meals or find a near by restaurant or food truck we’ve got you covered! We’re located on the beautiful North Shore on the ocean side of the “Kam Hwy.” and a short 3 minute walk to the beach.

The space
Close to Sunset Beach and famous Velzyland surf break our clean, comfortable, private studio has all the amenities you'll need during your stay in paradise; including a full bathroom and a small kitchenette featuring a refrigerator with freezer, microwave, 2 single burner induction stoves, toaster oven with air fryer, and a coffee maker. Although the studio is attached to the main house you have your own separate entrance and lots of privacy including a small private deck. You may hear our children from time to time but they this is very rare and not during quiet hours. Come enjoy the lush surroundings and all the Aloha the North Shore near Sunset Beach has to offer!

Parking is available on the street just a few steps from the house. It’s very close so don’t worry.

PLEASE PLEASE read the texts I send you before check in! Otherwise you will probably get lost using your GPS. You’ll get pretty close, but it will take you to the wrong house. So, again, please read the texts I send before check In. Also, there’s a lot of other important info so please read it! Since we understand sometimes we skim this stuff when booking we want to make sure you and your guest read this in its entirety. And SO, there will be a POP QUIZ! I’m kidding! No but seriously, please read this. :)

Hale Nalu House Rules:
1.) Please turn off the a/c and close the gate after coming and going.
2.) No shoes may be worn inside and PLEASE use the hose provided outside to rinse sand from your feet and body before coming inside the hale. Also, PLEASE hang used beach towels on the hooks provided outside rather than bringing them inside. Mahalo!
3.) Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper (normal, conservative-ish amount) i.e. no tampons, no wipes (even “flushable” ones), no rubbish, no cotton balls, etc. PLEASE ONLY TOILET TISSUE!
4.) Park directly in front of the house on the street or anywhere on the street facing WITH the flow of traffic
5.) Again- PLEASE turn off AC before leaving the hale. It cools down SUPER fast so, don’t worry-when you get back just turn it on and you’re cool again in minutes. Electricity in Hawaii is CRAZY expensive! We don’t use AC inside our house. Most locals don’t, especially on the North Shore. But, during the summer it can be warmer than other times— so as long as you turn it off before leaving, it’s all good!
6.) Please do the dishes and leave them on the drying rack (or put them away if they’re dry-if you feel so inclined) and place bagged trash just outside the hale by the step before checkout. Also, please strip the bed of the sheets, pillowcases and comforter (do not remove the mattress cover). We’ll take it from there! MAHALO!!!!!!
7.) Quiet hours are from 10:00pm-6:00am. You don’t have to whisper but, no loud music or loud TV volume please.
8.) No overnight guests.
9.) No smoking on the premises. And no regular smokers are permitted to book or stay in the unit as we have had certain guests smoke off of the property but nonetheless the entire unit still smelled of cigarettes upon check out and they had to forfeit their security deposit. If you smoke cigarettes regularly, please don’t book with us. No offense.
10.) Please remove makeup before going to bed. It stains. Use the designated makeup washcloths for this as well as for body and face creams containing bleach, fake tan or similar agents. If you’d prefer to go to bed glam then feel free to **bring an extra king size pillow case or two. I understand. Sometimes you just gotta crash.
11.) No burning candles.
12.) If you have an issue please tell us FIRST before just leaving a negative review. I’m sure you’d appreciate the same and we promise to give you the same consideration and respect before leaving you a bad review. In other words- let’s treat each other with ALOHA!

Due to recent change in our state Law, this is a short description of our unit. Unit is located outside of our resort area so a 30 day minimum does apply to this unit. We will prorate our monthly rental rate for the time you want to be in the unit.
Apartment is in the village of Kahuku. Located 1 hour away from Waikiki, having a car is highly recommended.Within close proximity to the best beaches in the world, Polynesian Cultural Center, BYUHawaii, Giovanni's shrimp truck and TurtleBay Resort.

A safe place for children, also ideal for parents coming to visit their college students in nearby Brigham Young University. Good size bedroom with air condition. There is also a Queen size air mattress for use, spare linen is provided. The kitchenette is equipped with a stove top, toaster, microwave, rice cooker, full size fridge and cooking utensils.

The beach cottage is an exciting and romantic spot to stay to enjoy the north shore of Oahu. You are away from the crowds and clutter of Waikiki. Set in the country, there is a quietness to life that is rejuvenating. This is a renovated spacious studio with a kitchenette on a large gated lot in a very secluded neighborhood on the North Shore. It is a 3 minute drive from world class beaches and surfing. The studio looks out upon the property in to the mountains. There is a queen size memory foam bed. We are family friendly! Parking is safe and on the property. It is a downstairs studio and our little family lives upstairs.

The space
The studio has everything you will need for your stay. Multiple sets of sheets, towels, pillows and blankets. The kitchenette has a full size fridge, microwave, toaster, 2 burner hot plate, and pots and pans. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner and soap. The property sits on an acre and has about 30 fruit trees scattered around. We also have a chicken coup and collect eggs.

Guests can roam the whole property. The studio has it's own private entrance. Parking is right next to the studio. You will share the washer and dryer with us.

Other things to note
This property may not be rented for less than 30 consecutive days. Rental prices will not be reduced or adjusted based on the number of days the rental is actually used or occupied.

Living right next to the ocean it is common for things to get rusted very quickly, we are not replacing things that are in working condition in order to be aesthetically pleasing. Our studio is located directly across the street from World Famous Sunset Beach. Only 75 feet from the beautiful white sand beach of Sunset Beach! This place is perfect for couples, adventure seekers, and anyone looking to be as close to the beach as possible.
This studio is located on the bottom corner of a large house in a private, 1 acre, gated/secured lot that shares with tropical landscaping & endangered Hawaiian Palm trees as well as a few other rentals. There is a Jiu jitsu studio located on property as well so it makes it very safe :)

Relax and enjoy a view of the ocean from our Surf Check deck or go for a stroll along the bike path to discover some of the best beaches, food trucks on the island.

Get ready to be surrounded by miles of famous surf breaks, great hikes and beautiful beaches. Here you will feel like you are in the heart of the North Shore.
