This unit is the second floor spot, which is choice because of the generous and private rooftop deck. It's tucked behind a tall fence with a nice off street parking spot so you can park just a few steps from your door.

After parking, you enter a shared ground floor patio area, where you're welcome to hang out. You enter your unit by entering your access code to the hallway door, which takes you upstairs. Then there's your front door at the top of the stairs, also accessed with a code. Your rooftop deck is accessed through the large sliding glass doors.

This guesthouse is in the Brentwood neighborhood, which is one of Austin's coolest most central spots. The neighborhood was built in the 50's and 60's with most of the houses freshly remodeled, so it's eclectic and unique (like Austin!) There is a gigantic city park about a 10 minute walk away alongside a cute grocery store, ice cream shop, and old school deli. Brentwood is slightly north of downtown and within a 10 minute drive, you can get to just about any interesting Austin spot you'd like.

The neighborhood is super central and one of Austin's favorite neighborhoods. Parking is easy, as there is a driveway a few steps from the unit, where you can park. There is a convenience store two properties over alongside a laundromat in case you need to do laundry or grab some drinks or snacks.

This is a one bedroom apartment with a small kitchenette and seating area, plus a small fridge. We have a Murphy bed so you can fold up the bed easily during the day and have more space for guests to come visit, yoga, etc.

- "The house was perfect for our group . The location was great... very close to Mt Bonell and Mozarts on the Lake. Super close to town but still in the Hilly part of town so it felt far away. The home itself is very nicely furnished and well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up a meal. The outdoor space was exceptional. We loved the pool and hot tub. The seating was conmfortable and cool. We didnt use the outdoor kitchen but it looked wonderful. The garden was also a beautiful touch. .We used some basil for breakfast. We had a great time. - "The home is beautiful the only thing that I could complain about is the hot tub issues. We paid $400 for the gas to heat the hot tub they said the entire stay it would be on. But the actually of it was we had to text them when we wanted it off and on. Which was no biggie but takes an hour to heat up and then the 100 degrees it’s supposed to be on didn’t feel like 100 degrees. It also turned off on us while we were in middle of use. So we paid for their next 4 gas bills. Kind of got screwed there. And they state there are only 3 cameras on the property, “one at front door, one on shed and one on the playground”.. they don’t mention the other 5 cameras in the backyard. No privacy whatso ever! Other than that, we had a great time."

My only suggestions would be to have the ac turned on before guests arrive (it was 85 in the house when we got there), and add a couple more hand towels and wash cloths. The entire left wing of the home is yours and has a door you may close to your own private hallway which is where you will find the 1.5 bath and both bedrooms/lounge with your own dedicated thermostat.

During your stay
Of course we will be sharing the home with you and can be as social, or as not, as you would like to be! While in your private left wing of the home, you will not be disturbed. While you are in shared spaces including the kitchen, dining area, and pool area we may say hi but will follow your lead on interaction.

Our goal is that you have the best time possible so please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist!

Other things to note
As mentioned we have two wonderfully friendly and clean cats, Fluufy and Orange, that will only interact with you as much as you want to interact with them. They spend time outside during the day and will only be in shared spaces and our own private space as to not disturb you; again, the left wing of the home is yours alone.

You'll love this private, secluded, modern oasis that's just 10 minutes (w/o traffic) from downtown! 5 miles north of downtown/Zilker Park, you'll have your own room and private bath on a separate floor of the home. Come and go as you please through the private downstairs entrance - parking is no problem. Quiet space and the perfect Zen retreat after a long day of fun in Austin. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. THIS IS A PRIVATE BEDROOM AND BATH ONLY - NO KITCHEN
