The newly renovated cabin offers a family room, kitchen, reading area, and 1 full bath w/ laundry on the main floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (1 queen bed and 1 twin bunk beds), and a half bath. There is a fire pit and two decks (front & back) to enjoy the outdoors.

We do supply bedding, towels, coffee and teas, spices, initial use of paper products (TP & Paper Towels). We DO NOT supply your laundry detergents.

This is a private community. The entire community is dirt/gravel roads ranging from 2400-2700 feet elevation. Speed limit is 20mph, do not speed. It is about a 10 minute drive to/from to the gate.

This community backs up to a State Forest. There is a lot of wildlife. Be mindful of poison ivy, Bears, Bobcats, rattlesnakes, ticks, & copperhead snakes to name a few.

- "This cabin is a gem! The easy location to hiking and dining, as well as the amenities that keep you entertained if you go nowhere, are fantastic. The hot tub and fireplace were so cozy and relaxing. The smart TV where we could use all our own streaming was great. While the weather conditions weren't good for using the fire pit outdoors, we appreciated that there was an initial bundle of firewood provided if we had chosen to use it. We plan to return to this cabin in the future, and we hope to use the firepit then! There were games and books available and all the cookware/dishes we might require, as well as throw blankets for lounging, reading, and movie watching. If you plan to do any exercise or yoga while there, bring your own mat, since there is no carpet. And the window seat in the main bedroom was just lovely! The hosts were very communicative and attentive."

My little car couldn’t make it up even though there was just about an inch of snow on the road so we parked behind Brenda’s pizza and didn’t get towed. We were able to move to the neighborhood’s overflow lot the next day. This home will always hold a special place in our hearts because my boyfriend ended up proposing that weekend down by the water. We will absolutely be back!"

We still recommend social distancing and only one group at a time in the hot tub. If only using the deck, the deck is large enough for social distancing to take place between groups. Those using both hot tub and deck, we ask that their privacy be respected during their time of quiet relaxation.

Guest access
You can access the washer and dryer by going in the garage. You will have to walk up the deck stairs on the outside to access the hot tub and the upper deck sitting area.
Outdoor cushions are located in the shed behind the house.

The neighbors are friendly and I will give you their contact number the day before or the day of your expected arrival.
Should the upper level be rented, you still have access to the upper deck and hot-tub and all deck and equipment. Deck Cushions and swing equipment are located in the garage or backyard shed. All outside or recreational items are for community use. No one has exclusive usage. (Exception - During COVID-19 only one unit will be rented at a time)

Great Location! 2 bdr/1 ba large and charming apt., Walking distance (within 1/5 mile to Garrett Memorial Hospital and historic district including antique shops, dining, farmers market, train station, library, hospital, courthouse, pharmacy). Short drive to Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Resort area, Swallow Falls State Park, and many more!. You’ll love my place because it is charming, Stain Glass Windows, and Coin Laundry on Site! Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

The space
Large and charming 2-bedroom, fully remodeled, 1 bathroom with shower tub, large closets in each bedroom. Great for a long ski weekend or an anytime getaway. Very cozy and peaceful setting. Bedroom 1 has a King Bed and large windows with stain glass, bedroom 2 has a queen bed and two nightstands with drawers as well as a sitting area and gas heater. Living room has new large leather sofa with massage chairs with gas heater that heats bedroom 1 and the living space nicely. Remodeled kitchen has all appliances, coffee station, and anything you could need for a short or long term stay. Back indoor patio connects to bedroom #2.

Large windows, and Coin Laundry on Site! Heat units in two rooms. TV in the livingroom but no Cable Services. Wi-Fi available and Netflix access.

Apartment is located in a former Large Victorian Home that served as a Vacation home for a Federal Judge in DC many years ago. The home was converted into individual apartments, each with their own kitchens and living area. It is very vast and charming with stain glass windows. Shares front porch patio with new and inviting seating up front, wooded area behind the house with additional seating.

Guest access
Guests will be able to access the entire apartment and common areas of building such as the front large porch with patio seating, and back yard area which is full of trees for some relaxation.

Coin washer and dryer are located in the basement of the building and shared with 4-other apartments.

Other things to note
There is currently no AC in the apartment or building however the building stays cool and has ceiling fans available. Single Window AC Unit in main living area recently installed over summer but currently does not have central AC.

Heating is being updated to have a central unit but currently has electric plug in heaters and stays warm with them.

Other residents live in the apartment so we ask for guests to respect quiet hours from 9pm-8am.

Cozy up at this charming modernized cottage tucked along the wooded hillside. With an open layout, stone fireplace, and plush furnishings, Pop-a-Top Inn is the place to return to after a busy day around the area. Located just minutes from multiple State Parks, fantastic restaurants, and the four season Wisp Resort, you’ll never run out of things to keep you entertained. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front or back deck, catch up on some reading on the upper level balcony, or curl up in front of the fireplace in the living room. Enjoy some swimming, fishing, or kayaking at the lake access point less than a quarter mile away or head out to see what all the area has to offer. Let the friendly competition play out over a round of mini golf or a couple laps around the go-kart track, or head to Honi Honi to sunbathe on their large lakeside yard while enjoying each others company. As the day winds down, make sure to stop a Creamery for a delicious treat before returning to the home! In the winter, hit the slopes for skiing and snowboarding or the state parks for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Tucked in the trees you’ll be immersed in the winter wonderland that is the snowy Deep Creek area! When you are finished with your cold and snowy adventures, allow the hot tub to soothe any aches and pains acquired throughout the day.
