- "The location worked for our weekend plans and day trips. The house had all the essentials we needed (sheets, towels, pots, pans, etc). There were additional amenity outside the home that we didn't use but it was nice to have (e.g., grills, hot tub, etc.). The property manager was prompt with responses and provided all the information we needed during the weekend." - "My husband works out of town in Kentucky and we had decided to take the family to Hersheypark for the weekend - my girls and I traveling from Scranton and my husband traveling from Kentucky. It was a very nice stay! 35 minutes and you’re in Hershey to enjoy the park but then back at the house your able to enjoy country living! The kids loved everything- zip line, hot tub, kayaking, little play set, and hanmock, etc. House was clean and had everything you need available and ready to use. We only had a few disappointments- the grocery store is a journey so plan accordingly - we went to a little discount food grocer it was nice but a journey. Also, any place for take out is a hike again plan accordingly. The house- there is no TV , which is completely fine and we enjoyed it, however some of the games were broken.. air hockey- only one side worked and darts- only one dart and it was broken. Needs more games. On a good note, we played the Famr Life game 🤣 it was great like monopoly for farmers ! Overall 100% we would rent this property and recommend it to others!"

A short drive from my place, you`ll find local amenities, interesting attractions, and delightful eateries. However, the real charm lies in the quiet serenity and the chance to reconnect with nature right outside your door.
In our rural area, I recommend having a car for the most convenience. The roads around my property are well-maintained and lead you through some truly scenic drives. Local attractions, amenities, and delightful eateries are just a short drive away. However, the real pleasure is in exploring the immediate surroundings, where you can enjoy leisurely walks, catch a glimpse of the farm animals, and soak in the serene beauty of nature.
This unique accommodation is set in a vibrant rural area where you can connect with nature and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. Please note that as we`re located on a working farm, you may encounter some farm-related activities and animals during your stay.
Weather-wise, our region experiences seasonal variations, with warm summers and cold, often snowy, winters. We recommend checking the local forecast before your arrival and packing accordingly. Despite being nestled in a rural setting, we`re just a short drive away from local attractions and amenities, offering the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. Your understanding and respect for the rural environment and its inhabitants are greatly appreciated.
- "Beautiful scenery and views of the farm and mountain. RV was cute and clean. Some minor hiccups but owner was very responsive. Bring extra blankets on those chilly nights. We would definitely stay again. " - "Sometimes, the place you stay makes the trip that much better. That’s the way this stay was. Great place to get get quiet and enjoy being away." - "If you like private and scenery, you will love it here! We will definitely be back!!"

Summary:
Swaddled by dense forest this campsite is perfect for anyone seeking a place to reconnect, relax, and refocus. Here you'll wake up to the sweeping views of acres of rolling PA Dutch Country hills, and by night be enchanted to sleep by fireflies and katydids. You'll be sure to be greeted in the morning by white-tailed deer and a few Appalachian cottontail during your stay as well. Access to trails, our creek (fishing allowed with PA fishing license), and plenty of firewood. Soak in why our PA Dutch ancestors fell in love with this land and set intentions for the dreams of your own legacy to come true too.
Signature Tent Sleeps 2/Pop Up 4 comfortably
HOUSEKEEPING: During Covid-19 shelter-in-place our site is cleaned before & after your visit.
The Space:
Rejuvenate & dream while tucked away within this forest neighborhood reminiscent of it's PA Dutch history.
Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.
Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided (you’re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.
What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting
-Firewood for the campfire
-Water
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory!
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
Other Things to Note:
Stay on marked trails so not to trespass off property. Maintain proper social distancing & hygiene while on site during Covid-19 “shelter in place”. Please cancel if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms. Your fur babies are welcome, but stay alert. Small or Curious family members could come in contact with a skunk, porcupine, animals of prey, or owls & eagles. We are a working farm.
Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.
If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please reach out to Tentrr Customer Support. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf. Tentrr Customer Support can be reached at (888) 798-9093 or at hello@tentrr.com.
- "My cousins & I had an amazing weekend!! We loved the camp site and highly recommend it to all of our family and friends. Easy Check in process. Communication with our camp keeper was seamless. We loved the history lesson Genavieve offered. During our stay we drove to Hawk Mt and spent the day hiking. The canvas tent kept us super warm (lows in the 20’s) we all agreed to definitely come back. We will try again in the spring. I can’t wait to come back."

The barn features a large eat-in kitchen, an open floor plan with a semi-private master, a wood/coal stove, washer and dryer, ductless mini split HVAC, a full bathroom, endless hot water, a Bluetooth vent fan, and a shuffleboard table. New wainscoting and paint! There is a raised bank barn ramp area out front where you can enjoy your coffee and favorite adult beverage during golden hour. It is near the pond (zipline splashdown), hot tub, and rock climbing wall, as well as, our flock of chickens.
The space
The Barnstay experience is in a central location on part of the 66-acre property. The barn measures about 30 by 35 feet or about 1000 sqft of living area. It includes a queen bed, a rustic twin xl over a full bunk bed, a table with 4 chairs, and a large living room with 4 couches. Ideal for up to 6 people. You may pay for guests beyond 6 but you must put some bedding on the couches. Note limited privacy (sound) between the master bedroom, bunks, and the main area. The wall is built to encourage airflow from the HVAC in the master. It has open spaces at top and bottom but no direct lines of sight.
Amenities included: electricity, smart tv with wifi, bedding with pillows, lighting, a ceiling fan, many games including a shuffleboard table, a fully stocked kitchen, a lighted private campfire area, and a rustic wooden wire spool standing bar down below the barn. The basement of the barn is our private storage (please stay out). You may also have RV guests in the front yard area of the barn from time to time.
Wood and coal are available during the winter months. We would like you to use the stove to help reduce heating costs!
Enjoy incredible panoramic views on the property of the Blue Mountain and Swatara Creek Park, beautiful sunsets, starry nights, and the warmth of a crackling fire from your campfire!
The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time.
We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner & movie theater. Single-track trails and Sweet Arrow Lake are nearby. Rent our bikes or kayaks! Grocery stores and gas are also nearby.
Hershey Park and Knobel's Grove are both approx a 30 min drive from our location.

Lots of parking space on the gravel for your vehicles. Plenty of space to tie down your airplane right in the front yard if you plan on flying in!
If you’re bringing your furry friends there’s a large 1.5-acre fenced dog park with a puppy playtime stock tank you may use. Just ask and we can show you.
The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone who comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage.
Other things to note
You may fly in if you like. Ask for any details for you are flight planning.
Note: Monthly rental discounts are available. Work-stay exchange programs are available. We are always looking for good reliable part-time help on the farm! Please ask!

- "It’s a little house/ camper on the farm property. If you don’t mind glamping camper style- you’ll be fine. The deck was really cute to hang out on and it had a great view. The hot tub is not at the little house- it’s at the main house. We drove to it (mainly because it was chilly at night but can be walkable.) The rooms were very small, studio apartment like but still very cute. It had all the essentials and we were very happy with it. "

I value your privacy and want to make sure you feel completely at home during your stay. Our main interaction will likely be at check-in, where I'll personally welcome you if possible, show you around and give you access. However, I'm always just a phone call or message away if you need anything or have any questions. My goal is to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. My property is nestled in the tranquil heart of Pine Grove, offering a charming taste of Pennsylvania's idyllic countryside. The area is peaceful, perfect for those seeking a breather from city life. Here, you'll be surrounded by vast green fields, scenic landscapes, and, if you're lucky, you might spot cows grazing leisurely.

Please note that as we're located on a working farm, you may encounter some farm-related activities and animals during your stay.

Despite being nestled in a rural setting, we're just a short drive away from local attractions and amenities, offering the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. - "I live on a farm, so a working farm was a perfect fit. It was peaceful, quiet. So, if you really want to get away from technology, this is it! The RV was lovely, spacious and clean. Watch pulling into the parking space at the RV. There is a white ?septic? cleanout on the shop side that could easily be run over by your car if not aware it was there. There is no shade, so RV completely exposed to sun-good in winter, but not summer. Therefore, the shades were drawn all day to keep solar gain to minimum. I misunderstood direction given, so controller for AC is on wall and they will give you code to adjust. Note there is no WiFi nor TV, though there is a stereo system to listen to radio and may be bluetooth compatible. The problem I had was with communication with property manager, who is off site. My Verizon phone had very spotty service Therefore, there were times when I was unable to contact manager, which caused some misunderstandings. However, we were able to discuss over phone on the last day once I got into a service range. In the same vein, if the water needs to be recharged (replenished) you can watch a video on your phone. Well, guess what? If you don't have phone service, you can't watch a video. So, they need written instructions. Golfers-there is a golf course less than 3 miles away-Hidden Valley Golf Course , Pine Grove. Last played there 40 yrs ago. Still very nice! Check out Yuengling's brewery tour (free) Pottsville, and Pioneer Tunnel, Ashland, Pa."

- "We have stayed at many Vrbo properties and this property is tied with first place, however it is tied with an 83’ houseboat in Key West which we know is not comparing apples to apples. The owners are very friendly. They live on property, are very attentive to your needs and will accommodate you expeditiously otherwise you won’t know they are here. The property is very clean, relaxing, quiet and romantic. We will definitely be returning."

Summary:
Set back behind today's modern agricultural life and be transported to the past in this campsite among a field that was once a Native American Algonquian village in PA Dutch Country. Here in this circular field, you'll discover this untold story surrounded by a living forest filled with wildlife such as white-tailed deer, Appalachian cottontail, red fox, fishers, and raccoons. Follow the marked hiking paths to enjoy the local stream that wraps around the village where you can fish (with a PA Fishing License) for native pickerel & trout. Enjoy your catch (or S'MORES) over a campfire at night and learn about Algonquian legends & astronomy.
This site is a great space for aspiring astronomers & campers looking to reconnect with a piece of unseen piece of history. Only a 5 minute drive from Sweet Arrow Lake Park.
HOUSEKEEPING: During Covid-19 shelter-in-place our site is cleaned before & after your visit.
IMPACT: $10 from each night of your stay is donated to AllTribesDC.org an organization focused on all tribal nations creating harmony, unity, mutual respect and native education among all people. Our hope is you'll feel the importance of this land. Migwetch!
The Space:

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!
Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.
Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows
Firewood
Other Things to Note:
Stay on marked trails so not to trespass off property. Maintain proper social distancing & hygiene while on site during Covid-19 shelter in place. Please cancel if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms. Your fur babies are welcome, but stay alert. Small or Curious family members could come in contact with a skunk, porcupine, animals of prey, or owls & eagles.
Leave arrowheads where found.
Discover the beauty of Bethel from this 4-bedroom house. With 3 queen beds and 1 bunk bed, this wonderful property offers a serene escape for guests. Enjoy the nice bathtub amenities in the 2 bathrooms. You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place.
This home was our home for 12 years! Our family of 7 loved and enjoyed this home and the safety of the property, while our children were young. The home is set back with woods and farm fields surrounding the property. A creek runs in the back. This large home (3200 sq. ft.) provides peace and tranquility from the busyness of the world. We pray you love staying at our house as much as we loved living there. Please note- there is lots of wildlife, and bugs. You are really in heart of nature.
When you enter the house, you will enter the front sun-porch. This is my favorite room of the house. It is not air conditioned or heated. However if you leave the kitchen door open it will stay cool in the summer. In the winter, on sunny days, it is very warm. I prefer the blinds to stay down on the 2 front windows as the porch can get very warm.
Then you will enter the kitchen, with all the appliances you need for home-cooked meals.
There are 2 downstairs bedrooms. One is in the back corner of the house with a queen bed. There is a space heater in that room, as in the coldest month of winter, you may need it. (January). The house has a coal stove that we used as a family when we lived in the house. It helped to keep down electric costs, and keep the house warmer, but it will not be run for the guests. Please see RULES about the stove/ and fireplace. They are not for guest use.
There is a living-room/ dining room and a large family room with 3 sofas. Many people comment on the immense size of the family room. It is a comfortable place to relax and spend time together.
Upstairs are 2 more bedrooms, and a master bathroom.
SOME THINGS TO NOTE-
The downstairs of the house has a water filter system. It is found in the washroom. Please do not touch the system, or change anything. The water from the sink is drinkable, from the small faucet.
The upstairs does not have the water filtering system. The water in the whole house is hard, and has sulfur. The filtering system does a good job downstairs to diminish the smell of sulfur and the hard water aspect. However, the upstairs is hard, and the sulfur can be smelled, especially when the hot water is being run. All of the homes back on our road and lane have this same issue . The water is in the ground. Some people have gone to sulfur springs for healing. It may be appealing to some people, but not for others. If it bothers you, please just shower downstairs.
Other things to note: The whole house is on a generator if the electric goes out. If the electric goes out, the generator will come on, and it is kind of loud. It is on the left side of the house, outside the kitchen window. You do not need to do anything with the generator or tanks. The generator will also run sometimes for routine maintenance, just for a few minutes.
If the electric would go out and the generator not come on, please contact us.
You will see deer, and other wildlife during your stay. Do not leave food outside, as animals (especially racoon have been known to look for food). Please do not feed any stray cats.
You may enjoy the yard or take walk on the lane. The pond down the back of the lane is privately owned. It is not for public use.
Note as well that this is a country home. There will be bugs. We do get a pest control company to spray, but the bugs still come. Our home is very cozy, and comfortable with modern amenities, but it is in the heart of nature.
Another thing to note! WIFI is very shaky out our way. There is only one company that provides down our road, but streaming sometimes is slow and sometimes it does not work properly. We kind of struggled with it for 12 years. My husband and I did work from home a lot, but had to put up with the spotty Internet service.
If you are expecting to do full-time work at our home, this is not the place to do so, because the service is not the best. We have Verizon, and they just do not provide better service back where we are.
You should have cell phone service, but not full bars.
