The kitchen had everything that we needed to make ourselves small meals and put all of our goodies that we collected from the farm stands in the fridge. The air conditioning worked great when we needed it, but we also enjoyed the crisp fall air and having some windows opened and hearing the noises of the Amish buggies going by, the faint sounds of roosters in the distance and hearing the horsea do their thing. Or come play on the lake. Lake Aldred is an eight mile lake known for water skiing /fishing/ kayaking. Formed by two dams on the Susquehanna River in southern Lancaster county. Decks make this the perfect retreat. The main deck off the main level is 960 sq. ft. includes a hot tub and plenty of room for everyone.

Main level welcomes you to your private retreat, the outside flows inside ~ living room floods with windows bringing outside inside. The kitchen opens to the main living area and is fully equipped: microwave, dishwasher ~ pass thru bar to the deck and gas grill cooking. Or cook dinners for those family gatherings. Waters Edge is a custom house built specifically for entertaining guests for a truly memorable vacation with family or friends.
The house is a open floor plan that flows from the beautiful interior to the amazing exterior and surrounding waterfront.
I created this home for a truly wonderful guest experience. This home is what I have learned during the last 10 years with owning 5 other vacation rentals and managing other properties and I placed it all into this magnificent home.
The home consists of 5,000 sqft of interior space and 1200 sqft of cover porch space along with 800 sqft of sun deck area with a heated pool, plus 1200 sqft of brick patio with a hot tub.

Pool is normally opened mid May and closes in September, all depends on the weather.
Hot Tub is open year round.

*** Listing price is for 8 guests in 4 of the bedrooms. These bedrooms include: First Floor Master, Two Basement Bedrooms and The Loft Bedroom.

There’s an additional fee of $1000 during peak season while the pool is open and $600 in off season when pool is closed. If you choose to have all 7 bedrooms and want to bring more than 8 guests, which brings your total guest amount to 16. The house and property is designed for a maximum occupancy of 16 including any guests that you may have stop over during the day.
Please let me know if you need all 7 bedrooms even if you only have 8 guests. So an additional payment request can be taken care of through the site. The fee is a one time charge for the length of your stay.

The cabin at Muddy Creek is a beautifully restored stone home on 40+ acres with over 4,000 ft of the creek running through it. A perfect getaway for those really looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. It's whatever you want to make it! Tons of things to get into with the family or a peaceful place to relax and really connect with nature. Not to mention .. pet friendly! We love our furry family members and think they should be included in family vacations as well! Regardless of what you do here, the sound of the running water from the creek that runs through the property really soothes the soul.

Enjoy our property to its full potential .. Have fun spending the day fishing, kayaking (two single kayaks available), tubing (4 tubes available), hiking, or just walking the grounds. The little ones love going into the stream to catch crawdads and salamanders! There is so much fun to be had and plenty of memories to be made here!

If you're more low key, this is the perfect place for you as well! Enjoy the sound of the running water in our adirondack chairs down near the creek and if you're really feeling adventurous, light up a fire in the pit! You could also take a walk over to the tree swing or the bridge and relax with a good book.

We do need to note that this house was built in the 1800s, it for sure was not built the way homes are made today (which obviously makes this home VERY special) The two staircases in the house are narrow and you may need to be careful and possibly have to duck your head a little going up and down. We would say if you have mobility issues you may want to figure out if staying here is the best plan for you.

Incredible attention to details in decorating the house, everything you need is there down to the welcoming s'mores kit and bottle of wine. The grounds are very well taken care off and the creek made for fun splashing for the dog and the humans. We only stayed two days (one night) because of scheduling conflicts so we didn't try out the kayaks or tubes. Give Ma Pa Pizza a try - you won't regret it! We certainly hope to be back soon! Farmhouse style home built in1885 located in the small hamlet called Oakryn. The home has 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room, eat-in kitchen, office and mudroom. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, upstairs bedrooms have a king bed and a twin bed. The bathroom is located downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need if you want to make meal or just fix coffee and toast. All linens, towels, paper products and kitchen cleaning products are provided. A 32 inch Smart TV is in the living room with basic cable and free wifi.

Location, Location, Location! This home is located in the country close to Amish and Mennonite farms but a short 15 minute drive to Quarryville, Oxford, or the Maryland border. Within a 1 hr 15 minute drive you can go to the Philadelphia Museum of Art , the Inner Harbor and National Aquarium in Baltimore. All the attractions in the Lancaster area are accessible in about 45 minutes. It is 1 hour to Hershey Park.
Have a delicious crab dinner on the Chesapeake Bay after an easy 30 minute drive! Two hours in car and you can stand on the beach with Atlantic waves washing over toes!

Stop and visit the Conowingo pool while enjoying hilltop views of the Susquehanna River. Baltimore is just a little over an hour from this location as well as Philadelphia. Other places like the gorgeous Longwood Gardens and a fun day at Yogi Bear Jellystone Waterpark are within 20-40 minutes away.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, and the water view and large peaceful porch were a central focus of enjoyment for our group of 10. The kitchen is well supplied with housewares and the extra fridge in the pantry was a bonus. As far as entertainment, the hot tub, Wii Sports, and pool table gave us plenty to do when we were relaxing. Even the train coming by sporadically added some excitement and didn’t pose an interruption. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet waterfront space in proximity to the Lancaster area."

Overview

This 7000+ sq foot home is nestled along the beautiful Susquehanna River in rural Harford County, MD, and offers lovely views and a relaxing ambiance. You'll love the expansive decks and the hot tub on the lower-level patio that provide lots of relaxation options. Sleeps 20. (Sleeps 16 without the two new bedrooms in the basement, which are rented separately. The rooms in the basement are $35 a night per room. This is not figured into the total. Please contact us and we will try and accommodate your needs.)

River Haven is sparkling clean and flooded with natural light from all the windows. The fully equipped kitchen is designed to meet all your cooking needs. There is a king-sized bed in the master suite, two bedrooms with queen beds, one more large bedroom with a queen bed, two sets of twin over full bunks with twin trundles, and plenty of floor space for your air mattresses. The property features a total of four and a half bathrooms, a laundry room, a dining room, and a deck with an outdoor living space. We offer an expansive playset for your children. The basement offers air hockey, corn hole, ping-pong, and a new five-person hot tub with all the bells and whistles on the stone patio. Bring your friend group or whole family and enjoy the views and ambience of a vacation rental done right. At the end of the street, there is a launching dock for kayaks. (No kayaks are provided.)

River Haven now features a whole-house backup generator, eliminating concerns about power outages.

There are exterior cameras on the premises; however, they are never accessed unless documentation is required.

Please note that a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended if your trip is scheduled for winter. Two-wheel drives will be just fine unless the road is covered in snow.

The area is also great for animal lovers, the Plumpton Zoo is 10 mins away and 20 mi. Fair Hill Equestrian center . Don't forget to visit the Amish farmer's market for fresh local produce.

We loved that it was only two miles to the town of Port Deposit which was a really fun town with lots of restaurants and bars on the river. Everything seamlessly flows together stylistically. The full kitchen has everything you need. Literally. Located in a quiet rural cul-de-sac in Harford County's farming community, this gem sits above a 7-acre lake amongst beautiful, wooded scenery. Grande View 1 is a newly built and furnished apartment with queen bedroom, full bath, kitchen & laundry as well as the ability to control heat and air. Lake access is a short walk through one of our three wooded trails from the house. Full 365-degree access to the lake for fishing, kayaking and birdwatching is available.
The space
Grande View 1 entrances into a large full kitchen / living room with granite countertops and large bay window facing 7 acre Lake Mitten. a hallway off the kitchen takes you to a bedroom with a spa feel. Another short hallway takes you to a large laundry closet with small utility tub, washer, dryer and shelving. Across from the laundry is a walk in closet with hangers. At the end of this hall is our beautiful full bath, marble countertop and large double sized tiled shower with full glass front. The bathroom has heat lamp, fan and is stocked with our fluffy white towels, soaps and shampoo (2 day supply).
Guest access
Guests will enter with a keypad code directly into Grande View 1. A door in the kitchen which connects to owners private space is locked. The accessible areas include the entire suite (kitchen/living area, bedroom, closets, full bath and laundry as well as the entire yard and lake area. Lake guidelines are provided in our guest book found in the suite.

The area is known for its agricultural offerings: fruit picking, farmers markets, wine vineyards and breweries. It is also known for outdoor sporting: fishing, watersports and hiking trails due to access to state parks, creeks and lakes. We are also just one hour from historic Lancaster County PA.

The single bathroom offers a standing shower, large sink with large mirror, and two person jacuzzi style bathtub with power jets or relax outside in the 5 occupant hot tub. Outside activities include Pickleball, Basketball, and cornhole, or take a walk on the one acre hiking trail right out back. The gated driveway provides an extra level of security. There are also two security cameras located on the property. The driveway is spacious and can accommodate 3 vehicles. The entire inside of the cabin is equipped with forced air conditioning and heat aside from the electric fire place located in the Livingroom. Outside power also available on the property.

PATIO WITH POOL
The sunny patio Outback has a private in ground heated pool with a large waterfall flowing into it.. The Patio has plenty of seating and is complete with a charcoal Grill, fire pit, Outdoor sofa and lounge chairs. Turn the lights on at the pool at night and sit along the bench seats in the pool and enjoy the beautiful night sky. We have beach towels for your use. Since this home is in the woods there is plenty of wildlife and bugs that we share the outdoors with. We have citronella candles and bugspray for your use.

MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom has a comfortable queen bed. It has French doors that lead to the patio outback. Open the French doors and have pool access right from your bedroom. Fall asleep at night listening to the calming flowing waterfall right from your bedroom. There is a large smart tv in the master bedroom as well.

WRAP AROUND DECK
Enjoy a peaceful morning on the large wrap around deck that has stunning views of the creek and surrounding woods. The deck offers both a lounge and dining area.

CREEK
Only steps away from the yard, the property is surrounded by the Conowingo creek. Trout is stocked in this water every year. Spend the afternoon fishing or take a quiet walk and enjoy the nature and wildlife. You might even want to take a swim in the creek. The beautiful view of the creek really makes our home so unique.

LIVING ROOM
The living room has large windows offering a scenic view of the creek. A Comfortable couch to curl up and enjoy the electric fire place or a movie on the smart tv. A desk is also located in the living room for anyone who may be remotely working.

Kitchen
The kitchen offers even more stunning views with a sliding glass door and French doors that lead to the wrap around deck. It is fully stocked and has granite countertops, fridge with an ice maker/water dispenser, dining area for 6, and coffee maker.

ROOM #2
The second bedroom has a full bed and a bunk bed (twin) that has a pull out third twin trundle bed if needed. A game cabinet is filled with board games. Also a variety of toys and books for little ones.

BATHROOM
The rustic bathroom has a very large standing shower with a rainfall water head. A beautiful vanity and sink as well. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash is provided.

LAUNDRY
We offer a laundry room that is outside in separate building.

INTERNET
We have wifi available, due to being in a wooded area; speed can sometimes be slower then usual.

SECURITY SYSTEM
To help keep our little ones safe, we have an alarm system that can be turned on if you would like to use it. If a child were to open a door or window that leads to the pool it will sound an alarm. Ask us for more details if you would like to use this features.

In an effort to keep the entire property more secure, we have installed security cameras on the EXTERIOR ONLY of the home.

GARAGE
The garage and upstairs apartment is not included in your stay. The apartment is empty and no one will be there during your stay.

If you have more then 6 guest you may make a request. depending on your request we may approve an additional guest at an additional $50 a night fee.

HOUSE RULES -

1. For your safety, the property is equipped with two exterior cameras, one monitoring the driveway and the other covering the entrance door.

2. This property is not pet-friendly. If unauthorized pets are found on the premises, we will require their immediate removal and impose a non-refundable fee of $400. This may also result in the termination of your stay.

3. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. If any evidence of smoking is discovered, the guest agrees to a charge of $200 per day.

4. The maximum occupancy is 6 guests. Groups exceeding this limit will incur an additional charge of $20 per person per day.

- "This is a great place to get away for a long weekend. The place was brand new, clean, and well appointed. The host was very communicative and everything was easy and seamless. The property was nicely finished and everything was a good size with 3 queen beds. The outdoor deck is definitely a place to hang out with a large picnic table, hot tub, and roof over a portion. There is also a breeo fire pit down by the creek and a nice 2p hammock. The only thing we wished during out stay was that the grill was bigger to cook more food! We would definitely come back. One thing to note is that there are 2 outdoor cameras, 1 pointed to the carpark area and 1 at the front door on the outside of the property. No big deal for us, but it was not in the listing."

Located in a quiet rural cul-de-sac in Harford County's farming community, this gem sits above a 7-acre lake amongst beautiful, wooded scenery. Grande View 2 is a newly built and furnished bed room, bath, kitchenette, with adjustable King bed, and other amenities. Lake access is a short walk through one of our three wooded trails from the house. Full 365-degree access to the lake for fishing, kayaking and birdwatching is available; a wonderful place to relax.

Kick back and relax in this handicap accessible, clean and stylish country charm efficiency apartment, complete with two outdoor seating spaces, walking paths and beautiful scenery located in rural southern Lancaster County. The area is surrounded by country and Amish charm, with nearby hiking trails, while a 30 minute drive will have you in downtown historic Lancaster City where you can stroll, shop and on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday visit the historic Central Market.

The space
Upon arrival you drive past pasture, into the woods and back a long lane. The apartment which is attached to the back of the host's home via a locked door, was built in 2019 and is a comfortable place to use as a staging area for hiking, touring, or just settling in to relax and take in the quite of your surroundings. Completely handicap accessible. The king sized bed is luxurious. The efficiency kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, air fryer, coffee maker, toaster and plenty of other essentials. If needed, a single bed can be added in the walk-in closet (not as bad as it sounds, see photos) for a comfy extra room which has it's own door. For larger parties, the couch also serves as a comfy sleeping spot. It's host tested and receives high rates (though it is not a pull-out bed).

In addition to the apartment, guests are welcome to take in the beautiful surroundings on the mowed paths that wander down to the Conowingo Creek where they're free to dip in their toes or commit to "all in". During good weather, a hammock is always hanging with an invitation for a nap in nature. As hosts, we love sharing this gem of a property with visitors.

Other things to note
Three friendly dogs, Tanner, Corona and Tucker are part of your host family. They all love visitors and even though, large and loud get very excited when company arrives. However, if you're not one to fancy the canines, please let us know and we'll be happy to keep them on leads during your stay.

Perfect for families or larger groups to consider is the "Henry Hilton" add on feature. For an additional $55 per night you can stay in a clean, comfy and totally cool treehouse that overlooks the fields out back. The treehouse comes complete with a queen-sized bed, it's own loo system, heat and outdoor seating. Please inquire for photos and details. This is a perfect place for teens to feel independent or for anyone with a craving for a little adventure.

Grande View 1 entrances into a large full kitchen / living room with granite countertops and large bay window facing 7 acre Lake Mitten. a hallway off the kitchen takes you to a bedroom with a spa feel. Another short hallway takes you to a large laundry closet with small utility tub, washer, dryer and shelving. Across from the laundry is a walk in closet with hangers. At the end of this hall is our beautiful full bath, marble countertop and large double sized tiled shower with full glass front. The bathroom has heat lamp, fan and is stocked with our fluffy white towels, soaps and shampoo (2 day supply).

Guests will enter with a keypad code directly into Grande View 1. A door in the kitchen which connects to owners private space is locked. The accessible areas include the entire suite (kitchen/living area, bedroom, closets, full bath and laundry as well as the entire yard and lake area. Lake guidelines are provided in our guest book found in the suite.

This unique 2 bedroom apartment is located in Conowingo, near Port Deposit MD. 5 mins from the Conowingo Dam and the upper Susquehanna River which is famous for fishing, bird watching, and water activities. Visit the historic Port Deposit and Havre de Grace where excellent restaurants, shops, and beautiful views. The Great Wolf Lodge and Hollywood Casino are only 4 miles away. Don't forget to visit the Amish farmer's market for fresh local produce.

This one room cabin is curated to integrate minimalism and luxury. The 16x18 room includes a private bathroom and an upstairs loft bed.

With the only bed located in the loft and the highest point in the A ceiling being 6 ft (floor to peak with slanting angles to the floor), this historical building is not able to accommodate those with limited mobility needs.

The loft is accessible by a generous sized librarian ladder and entry of 21" (width NOT circumference) specific dimensions. You MUST be comfortable using the ladder and able to physically fit your entire person (body width, not circumference of <21") within the entry and space dimensions.

Guests are encouraged to stroll the property flower gardens and enjoy the surrounding swings and seats. We welcome you to enjoy a fire in the electric fireplace when the weather meets the requirement (under 50 degrees fahrenheit).
When using the electric fireplace, please use the timer feature so the fireplace is not used all night and while you are not at residence.
You may pre-arrange for a fire to be started with host in advance outdoors.
PGuests will be responsible for maintaining and putting out the fire prior to vacating or retreating to the loft for sleep.
Also, a $50 fee is charged for stays up to a week.

We have 13 penned-in pet chickens that live on the premises. They are young but already love to be feed fruits/veggies thru their fencing!

We're 5 minutes away from the Conowingo Dam for eagle watching, and close to Fairhill Nature Ctr, Great Wolf Lodge/Casino and many State Parks, hiking trails and kayaking & fishing options.

We have a master bedroom with a queen sized bed and a second bedroom with two twin beds.

There is a single bathroom, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer and two outside places to sit and eat.

There is also a fire pit ready and waiting for your enjoyment.

Outside of the cottage:

We're 5 minutes away from a famous eagle watching point at Conowingo Dam where people come from all over the country to watch these amazing birds.

We're 15 minutes away from Great Wolf Lodge and Hollywood Casino.

We're half an hour away from the Fair Hill Nature Center.

We are also surrounded by many walking trails and lovely state parks.

Finally, there are a number of adorable small towns to explore in every direction around us.

Bed and Breakfast at Rolling Hills Ranch is a beautiful English Manor Home located on a lovely horse farm. Our home was built for the hit TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. You have full use of our home, enjoy the farm, ride horses, excellent restaurants within a mile.

Gunpowder Cabin is a peaceful getaway set on 9+ wooded acres and a private drive in Northern Maryland, just an hour from Baltimore. With a half mile of hiking trails, and over 600 feet of frontage on Octoraro Creek, there are numerous options for taking in the natural beauty: warm up by our two firepits, lounge in a hammock, take a dip in the river, or fish for trout from the shoreline. A secluded retreat that feels remote, but moments from the civilization you came to escape.

You'll have full access to the 9+ acres of wooded property and easy access to the river. The property does rise up to around 140 feet in elevation, so there are hills and stairs to climbs as you explore. THIS IS NOT FLAT GROUND. PATIO WITH POOL
The sunny patio Outback has a private in ground heated pool with a large waterfall flowing into it.. The Patio has plenty of seating and is complete with a charcoal Grill, fire pit, Outdoor sofa and lounge chairs. Turn the lights on at the pool at night and sit along the bench seats in the pool and enjoy the beautiful night sky. We have beach towels for your use. Since this home is in the woods there is plenty of wildlife and bugs that we share the outdoors with. We have citronella candles and bugspray for your use.

MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom has a comfortable queen bed. It has French doors that lead to the patio outback. Open the French doors and have pool access right from your bedroom. Fall asleep at night listening to the calming flowing waterfall right from your bedroom. There is a large smart tv in the master bedroom as well.

WRAP AROUND DECK
Enjoy a peaceful morning on the large wrap around deck that has stunning views of the creek and surrounding woods. The deck offers both a lounge and dining area.

CREEK
Only steps away from the yard, the property is surrounded by the Conowingo creek. Trout is stocked in this water every year. Spend the afternoon fishing or take a quiet walk and enjoy the nature and wildlife. You might even want to take a swim in the creek. The beautiful view of the creek really makes our home so unique.

LIVING ROOM
The living room has large windows offering a scenic view of the creek. A Comfortable couch to curl up and enjoy the electric fire place or a movie on the smart tv. A desk is also located in the living room for anyone who may be remotely working.

Kitchen
The kitchen offers even more stunning views with a sliding glass door and French doors that lead to the wrap around deck. It is fully stocked and has granite countertops, fridge with an ice maker/water dispenser, dining area for 6, and coffee maker.

ROOM #2
The second bedroom has a full bed and a bunk bed (twin) that has a pull out third twin trundle bed if needed. A game cabinet is filled with board games. Also a variety of toys and books for little ones.

BATHROOM
The rustic bathroom has a very large standing shower with a rainfall water head. A beautiful vanity and sink as well. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash is provided.

LAUNDRY
We offer a laundry room that is outside in separate building.

INTERNET
We have wifi available, due to being in a wooded area; speed can sometimes be slower then usual.

SECURITY SYSTEM
To help keep our little ones safe, we have an alarm system that can be turned on if you would like to use it. If a child were to open a door or window that leads to the pool it will sound an alarm. Ask us for more details if you would like to use this features.

In an effort to keep the entire property more secure, we have installed security cameras on the EXTERIOR ONLY of the home.

GARAGE
The garage and upstairs apartment is not included in your stay. The apartment is empty and no one will be there during your stay.

ADDITIONAL GUEST
If you have more then 6 guest you may make a request. depending on your request we may approve an additional guest at an additional $50 a night fee.

MAINTENANCE
Each week our pool maintenance company cleans the pool. Also the lawn care company comes to mow the grass. There is no designated times for their arrival. They are in and out quickly and do their best to respect your privacy.

****Please note, you’re staying in a house that is located in the woods. There are MANY bugs. There is also leaves that are shedding in the fall and this can make keeping leaves out of the pool tricky. **

Guest access
The guest has full access to the upper level of the house, creek, the pool, porch and yard. At this time the guest cannot access the basement or the garage.

Other things to note
We do not currently have a dishwasher. please keep this in mind when packing and consider bringing paper products if you don’t prefer to do dishes on vacation.

The space
Overview

This home is nestled in along the beautiful Susquehanna River in rural Harford County MD, and offers lovely views and a relaxing ambience. You'll love the expansive decks, and the hot tub on the lower level patio that provide lots of relaxation options. Sleeps 16.

River Haven is sparkling clean and flooded with natural light from all the windows. The full kitchen is equipped to meet all your cooking needs. There is a king sized bed in the master suite, two bedrooms with queen beds, plus one more large bedroom with a queen bed, two sets of twin over full bunks with twin trundles, and plenty of floor space for your air mattresses. There are there are a total of three and a half bathrooms, a laundry room, dining room, and a deck with an outdoor living space. The basement offers air hockey, corn hole, ping-pong, and a brand new five-person hot tub on the with all the bells and whistles out on the stone patio. Bring your friend group or whole family and come enjoy the views and ambience of a vacation rental done right. At the end of the street there is a launching dock for kayaks.

There are exterior cameras on the premises, however, they are never accessed unless documentation is required.

If your check-out date falls on a Sunday, we offer free 6:00 PM Sunday checkout. It's our way of saying thank you.

Please be aware that is your trip will be in the winter, a four wheel drive vehicle is recommened. Two wheel drives will be just fine unless the road is snow covered.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
