The estate offers spacious bedrooms, a sun room, library & working fireplaces throughout the whole house. The 8 person hot tub overlooks the lake. The new in ground swimming pool is heated and amazing! (Open April 1st to October 31st) This remote 25 acre estate with a historic 1732 farmhouse and beautiful lake will be a place to make many memories with your family and friends. If small town life suits you, the small restaurants and quaint shops of Mount Joy are just a few minute drive away. If you would like to make a fire we have a fire pit and wood that will be available upon request as well as a gas grill to cook with.
The rowboat on the lake allows for fun, leisurely lake experiences. We encourage fishing in the lake if the kids bring their own fishing rods. The fish hatchery at the far end of the lake is reached via the hiking path around the lake.
The large gourmet kitchen offers the latest high end appliances. Gourmet Chef Services by a CIA graduate chef are available for an additional fee. During your stay you will have an opportunity to harvest produce from our almost one acre raised bed garden. The chicken coop also provides farm fresh eggs each morning that you are free to gather and consume. This property is perfect for any celebration, family gathering, or sports team outings.
No speakers of any kind are allowed on property. We do have a neighbor that is close to the pool side of the farm that enjoys the tranquility of the peaceful countryside. This remodeled Family Home will surprise you with it’s cleanliness, comfort and luxury. Three main suites with private baths will allow you personal space while the common areas will accommodate and encourage fellowship and relaxation. Not that you are interested in preparing meals (we are in Lancaster County, for goodness sake, home to some of the best eats ever!) but the kitchen is stocked and has an open dining area with seating for 10 at the main dining table. Guests will be able to enjoy two entertainment rooms, and a large private deck to the back of the home with a natural gas grill, patio with Bonfire area, and hot tub!

The house sleeps 12, but there is a small fee per guest after 8 guests.

House Rules

-During seven (7) day stays, Nest Run personnel will provide clean towels midweek. A complimentary call to the house phone will occur prior to staffs arrival. Guest shall allow homeowner/Nest Run staff access to the property for purposes of repair and maintenance. The basement and some closets are locked and shall remain locked at all times. Guests are not permitted access to the basement or these closet areas. Cleaning staff may be in the basement area separated from Guests during the rental period.

-The Primary Guest must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age. By accepting these rules, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of these premises.

-If valuable items are left unattended in bedrooms or parked vehicles, homeowner does not accept responsibility for theft or loss. A safe is provided for valuables in Suite #3’s closet. Additional information on bulletin board in kitchen of Nest Run.
(You should not have to worry about theft, the neighborhood is very safe!)

-Free WI-FI is accessible to all Guests. Password is provided upon arrival.

-Six (6) parking spaces are provided. Additional vehicles should be parked on the street and Guests shall obey all parking signs and regulations.

-Do not eat meals in the bedrooms. Do not place drinks on wood furniture without using the coasters provided. Use appliances for their intended purposes only.

-Do not wash clothes in the bathrooms. A washer and dryer are provided for Guests’ use. Clean the dryer filter of lint after every use. There is no daily housekeeping service. Nest Run provides all linens and bath towels with this unit.

-Smoking is prohibited in Nest on the Run. The Registered Guest will be charged a cleaning fee of $500.00 (five hundred dollars) if any guest smokes in Nest Run. Smoking is permitted outside only. Do Not throw butts outside, use butt buckets provided.

-No Pets are Allowed. If a pet is on the property, a damage fee of $150.00 (one hundred fifty dollars) will be charged. Service animals may be permitted with prior approval from homeowner.

-Please keep the property and all furnishings in good order. If Nest Run is left in an unfit condition, a cleaning service fee (over the normal cleaning fee) of a minimum of $250.00 (two hundred fifty dollars) will be assessed.

-The level of noise inside and outside the property must be reasonable at all times. Please be respectful of the neighbors. Guests must be dressed appropriately when using the outside property of Nest Run.

-Be advised that there are security cameras on the exterior of the property. The cameras view the parking lot area, patio, front porch, and entryway sidewalk.

This was our 6th family vacation renting through VRBO with our group of 11 people ranging in age from 20-76, and it was by far the most incredible place we have ever stayed. The pictures do not do the grandeur of this property justice. Fully stocked is an understatement. There was nothing we wanted or needed that wasn't there. We started our days with freshly brewed espresso from the fancy automatic espresso machine, had a wonderful days lounging in the pool and hot tub and spent our evenings playing hours of games in the game rooms, singing karaoke and watching movies in the theater. We appreciate all the extras this house was stocked with (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, spices, k-cups just to name a few!) The entire house is newly updated and the kitchen is fully stocked with basics, including spices, coffee, tea, and bottled water, as well as a microwave, oven, and refrigerator.

Bedroom 1, the master suite on the first floor, has a modern queen-sized bed and a newly remodeled adjoining bathroom featuring a rain-head shower.

Bedroom 2, on the second floor, is stylish and spacious with a wall mirror and a queen-sized bed featuring trendy schoolhouse brand bedding.

Bedroom 3, also on the second floor, has a comfy cozy queen-size bed with plenty of pillows. The bathroom on the second floor is updated and features a double shower.

Guests have access to the entire house, sunporch, and spacious back deck with child safety enclosures.

-During seven (7) day stays, Roost Run personnel will provide clean towels midweek.

-Guest shall allow homeowner/Nest Run staff access to the property for purposes of repair and maintenance. The basement and some closets are locked and shall remain locked at all times. Guests are not permitted access to the basement or these closet areas. Cleaning staff may be in the basement area separated from Guests during the rental period.

-The Primary Guest must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age. By accepting these rules, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of these premises.

-If valuable items are left unattended in bedrooms or parked vehicles, homeowner does not accept responsibility for theft or loss. A safe is provided for valuables in bedroom #4’s closet.(You should not have to worry about theft, the neighborhood is very safe!)

-Free WI-FI is accessible to all Guests. Password is provided upon arrival.

-Six (6) parking spaces are provided. Additional vehicles should be parked on the street and Guests shall obey all parking signs and regulations.

-Do not eat meals in the bedrooms. Do not place drinks on wood furniture without using the coasters provided. Use appliances for their intended purposes only.

-Do not wash clothes in the bathrooms. A washer and dryer are provided for Guests’ use. Clean the dryer filter of lint after every use. There is no daily housekeeping service. Roost Run provides all linens and bath towels with this unit.

-Smoking is prohibited in Roost on the Run. The Registered Guest will be charged a cleaning fee of $500.00 (five hundred dollars) if any guest smokes in Roost Run. Smoking is permitted outside only. Do Not throw butts outside, use butt buckets provided.

-No Pets are Allowed. If a pet is on the property, a damage fee of $150.00 (one hundred fifty dollars) will be charged. Service animals may be permitted with prior approval from homeowner.

-Please keep the property and all furnishings in good order. If Roost Run is left in an unfit condition, a cleaning service fee (over the normal cleaning fee) of a minimum of $250.00 (two hundred fifty dollars) will be assessed.

-The level of noise inside and outside the property must be reasonable at all times. Please be respectful of the neighbors. Guests must be dressed appropriately when using the outside property of Roost Run.

-Be advised that there are security cameras on the exterior of the property. The cameras view the parking lot area, patio, and front and rear entryways.

- "If you are considering staying here, do not hesitate! The house, the location, and the hospitality exceeded our high expectations. We arrived with 5 kids (aged 2-13), 5 adults, for an early June family vacation. The house has so much character, is incredibly clean, has a ton of amenities (high quality appliances, speakers in every room, espresso machine, EV car charger, plenty of towels for the pool and bathrooms), and so many fun activities on the property (arcade - kids favorite!, pool, golf, cows)! There is so much to do around this house as well. We enjoyed 2 visits to Hersheypark, made our own ice cream at the Turkey Hill Experience, visited the Eastland Alpacas, enjoyed the butterflies and kid zone at Hershey Gardens, Go 'N Bananas Family Fun Center on a rainy day, and a great Hershey Bears hockey game at the GIANT Center. A special call-out to Jeff and the property management team. They provided us great local recommendations, fresh eggs from the farm daily, access to delicious grass-fed beef, and most importantly, they were extremely responsive to any needs/concerns we had throughout the stay (eg, making the pool a bit warmer). We would definitely come back for a future family getaway!"

The Senator is a grand, classical old home, built by a 6 term senator from PA in 1905. We have tried to keep the spaces and furnishes elegant and in keeping with the feel of the house. The house has a grand winding staircase, beautiful period chandeliers, and extensive leaded glass panels. Our guests can use any of the public spaces and enjoy the yard and gardens. Breakfast can be served in the breakfast nook or in the formal dining room.

The space
Mt Joy is close to many local attractions, 20 minutes to Hershey Park, 20 minutes to Lancaster, 20 minutes to York, and 30 minutes to Harrisburg area. Just ask about places of local interest.

The Senator B&B is conveniently located in Mt Joy, PA. A very short drive to Lancaster, Hershey, York, and many wonderful attractions and restaurants. The home has 2 bedrooms, both upstairs. The first bedroom is quite large, with 2 queen size beds and a daybed with an extra mattress underneath. It also has armoire for your clothes, and a small sitting area. This room also has the access to the balcony which you are free to use. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. There is also a full size bathroom upstairs, with a shower/tub and washer and dryer.
Downstairs is a full size kitchen equipped with the basics. The living room has a couch, loveseat, and TV. There is also a desk for a dedicated workspace, and an A/C and Heating unit with a remote for your comfort. Downstairs also has a full size bath with a shower. Outside is a backyard that is partially fenced in you may use as well.

Please Note:
With our house being built in 1890, the front bedroom does have lower ceilings than typical and are around 7 ft in height with the door entrance being around 6' 6", however the second bedroom is more average height. Our space may not be suitable for taller individuals. The steps are also a bit steep being an old house so please keep this in mind if you are elderly or have mobility issues. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

You will have the entire house to yourself and backyard. However, please note that the very front of the building attached to the house is our small retail pretzel and ice cream shop. It is completely separate from the living space, however customers do occasionally sit outside on the tables and chairs on the patio. It is a relatively quiet space but guests should expect some low level business noise such as the faint noise of a mixer, etc. With the house being on Main Street there is some traffic noise as well.

The Malt Baron’s Mansion is the historic home of Philip Frank, a leading citizen of Mount Joy, Lancaster County and owner of one of the largest malt making factories on the East Coast. He sold his malt (the main ingredient in beer) to breweries all over the northeast in the late 1800’s. As would befit a man of his stature, he built a fine brick mansion at 109 North Market Street in his home town. Across the street from his home is a brewery built (with Philip’s backing) by his friend Alois Bube who also ran a hotel at the location and lived there with his family as well (102 North Market Street). As guests at the Malt Baron’s Mansion, we hope you will enjoy staying directly across the street from Bube’s Brewery, currently an active brewery, dining, and entertainment complex with three restaurants, an outdoor Biergarten, a hotel, museum, ballroom, underground Catacombs, an escape room, and of course, a brewery making some very tasty beers. The Malt Baron’s Mansion includes two suites that can be rented individually (each having a private entrance) or collectively (interior doors can be unlocked to combine them for a larger group). Each of the suites can be rented as a two bedroom or one bedroom unit (we charge less if you only need one bedroom). Each of the suites has a living room, dining area, full kitchen, and a full private bathroom each with a bathtub/shower. Each unit includes a TV with basic cable, Wifi, and streaming capability. We like our guests to know that the Mansion is run by Bube’s Brewery and if anything special is needed (extra chairs, blankets, projector screen, extra cooking utensils, etc.) we probably have it and are happy to provide such things for your stay. Of course we are happy to host you for lunch, dinner, a nightcap, or a tour of our very special historic complex right across the street.

Conveniently located in the heart of Mount Joy, PA. Within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. We are 9 mins to Spooky Nook, 25 mins to Hershey Park, and 15 minutes to Lancaster.

Enjoy staying at this beautifully renovated historic Mount Joy property. The living space, which is the entire second and third floor, has been completely renovated to highlight its historic charm while introducing modern finishes. Conveniently located near Nook Sports Complex, Hershey and minutes from route 283 with connection to Lancaster and Harrisburg. The Amtrak station is just two blocks away. There are also several food/beverage options in close proximity. This place is not to be missed!

The space
Upon entering from the driveway is the laundry room, equipped with a sink, washer and dryer. Up the stairs to the main living space is the kitchen and family/dining area. To the right of the kitchen is a private suite with a TV room, bedroom with queen bed, and full bath. There is also a separate exit that leads to the stairs out the back. To the right of the kitchen and family/dining area, is the king bedroom with full bath and walk-in closet, as well as a third full bathroom and stairway to the 3rd floor. The 3rd floor is solely two bedrooms, side by side. One has a queen bed, the other has two queen beds.

There is parking for one vehicle in the entrance driveway, and an additional driveway off the barn that will fit two vehicles, and street side parking. The trash cans are located under the stairs in the back.

Our spacious newly renovated 5 bedroom home has a Sunrise, Sunset view. Out in the country but close to many attractions including The Nook, Hershey Park, Sight & Sound and Amish Country. It features a huge great room with fireplace, pool table and shuffleboard. The kitchen is fully stocked w/ lots of space to gather around the island, dining room table and living room with a gas fireplace. The Lower Level King Suite gives versatility to your stay. Two patios with gas grills complete this home

The space
This two level home is open and inviting. On the first floor the large entryway leads to the versatile 24’ x 24’ Great Room off to the right. This is the perfect place to play games, cards, put puzzles together or just chill on the comfy sectional recliners. The pool table and shuffleboard on the other end of the room is great for some friendly competition. With a kitchenette for light refreshments, snacks and a high top table, it’s all there to enjoy. There is a refrigerator with an ice-maker in the large closet. (We’ve included a queen air mattress for that room if needed).

The first floor level has a spacious light & open kitchen, dining area and bedrooms on the left side of the home. There is a stackable washer & dryer and a door to the lower patio steps off the hallway. The three bedrooms and master bath are toward the back of the house.

The king and queen rooms have flat screen smart TVs, ceiling fans, luggage racks, blinds with room darkening curtains, work space and comfy beds. The bunk room has a queen bed with a twin on top and a pull out twin trundle bed. It also has a flat screen TV, ceiling fan, luggage rack and is a great fit for kids. There is two way entry to this room. One doorway from this bedroom to the full bathroom shared as the main bathroom and one to enter from the master and queen room hall way.

Now enter our newly renovated lower level Master King Suite down the stairway off of the kitchen. We have created a space with adult privacy in mind or a family to enjoy as well.

The King Suite includes a gas fireplace for a warm and cozy feel, 55' smart TV along with a full kitchen and island with seating for two. There is access to a beautiful private patio with gas grill and back yard including a swing set for kids to enjoy.

You will access the master bath off of the King Suite featuring a spacious whirlpool tub next to a walk in shower. It has a double vanity and a large closet. There is a second doorway for access to the hallway.

The second lower level bedroom has twin bunk beds and a sectional sofa. The sofa can be transformed into a place to sleep equivalent to a queen bed. The large TV in that room is great for kids to enjoy video games or movies. Of course adults like that privilege as well.

There is a separate laundry room equipped with full size washer, dryer and sink in this lower level.

Guest access
The entire first floor and lower level is accessible to our guests as well as the upper and lower patios. The garage is locked and not accessible to our guests. Please note the neighboring pond area is private property.

Other things to note
Our entire home is equipped with a new sprinkler system. There is also a generator in case of loss of power.

This 25 acre estate will be the perfect retreat. It is only minutes away from exploring Amish life, shopping the outlets or visiting the world's largest indoor sports complex, Spooky Nook Sports. The Lancaster downtown scene offers amazing nightlife, restaurants & activities for everyone.
The estate offers spacious bedrooms, a sun room, library & working fireplaces throughout the whole house. The 8 person hot tub overlooks the lake. *The heated in ground pool is open from April 1- October 31.

The space
This remote 25 acre estate with a historic 1732 farmhouse and beautiful lake will be a place to make many memories. If small town life suits you, the small restaurants and quaint shops of Mount Joy are just a few minute drive away. If you would like to make a fire we have a fire pit and wood that will be available upon request as well as a gas grill to cook with.
The rowboat on the lake allows for fun, leisurely lake experiences. We encourage fishing in the lake if the kids bring their own fishing rods. The fish hatchery at the far end of the lake is reached via the hiking path around the lake.
The large gourmet kitchen offers the latest high end appliances. Gourmet Chef Services by a CIA graduate chef are available for an additional fee. During your stay you will have an opportunity to harvest produce from our almost one acre raised bed garden. The chicken coop also provides farm fresh eggs each morning that you are free to gather and consume. This property is perfect for any celebration, family gathering, or sports team outings.
No speakers of any kind are allowed on property. We do have a neighbor that is close to the pool side of the farm that enjoys the tranquility of the peaceful countryside. We have provided you an Alexa speaker for your enjoyment for the pool (open from April 1 - Oct. 31) or inside the building facilities. Thank you for respecting his home as well as ours.
