The kitchen has new cabinetry and appliances, 2 ample size bedrooms, and a large bathroom with a huge shower with a frameless shower door. A light-filled sunroom is the perfect home office which opens up to a magical backyard with a gazebo.

- "Fully fenced and private back yard. Just what we needed. Loved the interior, nicely decorated. Thanks Lisa" - "5202 W. Mockingbird Lane is in a good location. It’s in Highland Park, near SMU, Love Airport, and good restaurants. The bathroom in the house has handicapped bars and a walk-in shower, but there is no handicap entrance into the house. The garage is short because the washer and dryer are in the garage. The property is pet friendly and has a good backyard fence. However, there were lots of overgrown areas in the yard and it was full of leaves. Although the property is on an extremely busy street, people were very kind and would allow us to back out without waiting. The owner was very quick to respond when there was a problem at the house. There was a problem with the water heater and it was fixed the next day. Also, the Samsung ice maker had frozen up, so the could not be fixed while we were there. Samsung ice makers are notorious for that. We just bought bagged ice while there. There is no automatic dishwasher in the kitchen. The Mr. Coffee works but needs to be replaced with a K-cup machine."

The space
Uniquely situated above a beautiful creek and surrounded by nature, this Guesthouse is perfect for those looking to escape the city while visiting Dallas. The Guesthouse is very spacious, measuring 595 square feet, with an expansive rear deck over looking the creek which measures 200 square feet. We encourage our guests to relax, take in the sounds of nature, and enjoy the peaceful, quiet setting by the creek or alternatively, lounge by our pool. We provide yoga mats and pool towels for guests.

We will be available to greet you, answer any questions, and show you the back house upon request. We also have a lock-box to leave keys in the event we cannot greet you. Plenty of parking is available in the driveway.

The Guesthouse is ideal for one or two people as it’s just one king bed, but we can make up the couch and put a traditional Japanese futon on the floor, if you would like to stay with 3 or 4 guests (for a small added fee). If you have more than two guests in your party, please let us know so we can prepare the Guesthouse accordingly!

If you need something immediately, the property is only a quick 5-minute drive to the Preston Royal shopping center with a Starbucks, liquor store, grocery store, Shake Shack, gas station, dry cleaners, and pharmacy, among others.

The Guesthouse is centrally located: an Uber ride downtown takes 15 minutes and most places in Dallas are very easily accessible as we are less than 5 minutes from the major highways in Dallas. Only 10-15 minutes away from Love Field Airport and about 25 minutes to DFW!

A few notes about the property:

- The lawn care team mows every other Tuesday so you may see them mowing the front and back yard.

- Trash day is every Friday so you might see my property manager wheeling the trash cans out to the curb on Thursday or Friday morning. If you are on a long-term stay, please remember to take the trash out on Thursday evenings for Friday morning pick up.
