This is a quiet, family friendly neighborhood. The home is very close to the lively Hudson nightlife bars, but far enough away that it is quiet at night. I require my guests to respect the neighbors, no loud parties or music after 10pm.

Welcome to comfort and relaxation! Exquisite rural setting in the river valley of the St Croix. Cozy up in this brand new barn apartment on our home property that is close to beautiful parks and trails and many attractions and also a half hour from the Twin Cities.
The space:
Designed with modern and well equipped spaces in mind, the entire second floor of the barn space is for our guests use including a full laundry room and fully equipped kitchen.
The Loft at Strawberry Hill provides its guests fresh towels, linens, and many other necessities such as dish soap, dishwasher/laundry tabs, shampoo etc.

Other things to note:
Balconies on both ends to enjoy beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Many trails for walking. Afton Alps resort and Afton State Park close by. Private fire pit on premises for our guests outdoor use. Great restaurants in quaint downtown Hudson 8 min. away and historic Stillwater only15 min. away.

We can sleep 6 comfortably or more depending on if the queen beds are shared. For sleeping accommodations we have the main "owners" bedroom with a queen bed, the secondary bedroom has 2 twin beds. In the living room, the sofa has a pull-out queen mattress made of quality memory foam and bedding. In addition to or if preferred, we also have a Queen size double high air mattress with built in pump and also a twin double high mattress with built in pump and all bedding. (Extra charge of $15 per night for more than 4 guests.)

We are located just minutes from the St. Croix River, Mississippi River, and Afton Alps Ski Resort. This is a newly built private guest suite with a private entrance. It includes a full kitchen, full bathroom, laundry, a queen bed, and two twin beds. Plenty of parking.

Quickly they jumped out of the car. One of them picked the lock on the door. They pushed their way into the house and to their surprise they found they were in a beautiful little home for their weekend . A large open living room with plenty of windows to view the surrounding hardwood forest and wild flowers. Comfortable beds and a large modern bath room with large shower and tub. Just what the women wanted. A supper club was on the menu for Birthday dinner . Shady grove restaurant filled the bill perfectly The next day was spent checking out the floodwaters and a self directed cheese tour. That evening was spent reading some of the many wild life books and catching up on some tv. Our host instantly provided missing supplies Was fun to talk to. A wonderful time."

Learn the history of the St Croix Valley, from the first all-volunteer army of MN. during the Civil War, to the Great Lumber Baron's of the St Croix River. Historic places everywhere!

- "Spotless, wonderful location close to town with several restaurants. Only negative is that it is on upper floor of duplex (Owner below) and there is a long staircase. One of the two bathrooms has a miniature size pedestal sink which is hard to use, but the second bath is nice. Had food and beverages included in refrigerator. That was especially appreciated. Kitchen is very pretty with beautiful cabinets and counters. Beds comfortable, nice linens.Would definitely stay there again"

We look for places where we can relax, with a good view, hiking nearby, night life (live music), etc. This was the perfect spot. Walking distance to everything we wanted or a short drive to the waterfalls. There was a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us to kick off our stay! The only downside is the bedroom could use some blackout curtains. Sleeping in (as a mom) is a luxury and it was a little difficult to with the morning sun. Would definitely recommend and stay again. The space
This home is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath. A half bath, kitchen, and living room is on the first floor. Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms, a laundry room, and full bath. The upstairs bathroom has a large double headed shower and a separate tub. A blow dryer, curling iron, and flat iron are all provided.

Among the bedrooms are a queen, full, and twin bed. Also provided are two queen blow-up mattresses (electric pumps provided) and a single cot (which is quite comfy), all of which linens and pillows are provided for as well. This property sleeps 6 per city ordinances.

There is a very spacious back yard with a large 6-person patio table and charcoal grill. The side yard has a fire pit with chairs surrounding it; wood logs are also provided for a fire. There is also plenty of on site parking.

WI-FI password is provided at time of check in. All bedrooms, as well as the living room, have flat screen TVs and are either smart TVs or have Roku. You will also find a desk and chair in the guest bedroom.

In total for beds there are the following: a queen, full, twin, 2 qty queen blow up air mattresses, and a single cot, all of which bedding is provided for.

It's really convenient when traveling with a dog as there is a green space on the opposite side of the parking lot for bathroom breaks. Also super convenient because there is a restaurant and gas station in the same parking lot. Really liked being able to park directly in front of our room door. Both rooms we have stayed in were decorated very differently and both rooms are so cool in how creatively they are decorated. Everything was completely remodeled, very clean. The second time we stayed here there didn't seem to be any hot water. I messaged the host who responded immediately and shared that due to the size of the property you need to let the water run a little bit longer than expected to get hot water to a room that is far away from the water heater. This did the trick. This place is a real gem!"

We`re thrilled to host you at the Wisconsin Hobbit Housw, a one-of-a-kind architectural treasure. To ensure a magical stay for you and future guests, please take a moment to review these essential guidelines.

BOOKING PROCESS:
You will be sent a Rental Agreement. Please complete within 24 hours to secure your booking, and email your ID to us to complete your booking. We love when you message us to share the nature of your trip and who you are traveling with as well, so we may offer the best experience.

Arrival & Parking
🚗 Driveway – Narrow, steep in winter, and one-way. Be prepared to reverse out. **Winter guests:** 4WD required.
🚗 Parking** – Max 3 vehicles. No large motorhomes.
Turn left at top of driveway.

Inside the House
🚫 No outdoor shoes inside – Pack indoor shoes/slippers. $200 fee for excessive debris.
🛅 Luggage – Use racks; avoid placing luggage on beds, built-ins, or dragging through gravel paths.
🚽 Septic system – Flush only 1-ply toilet paper. No hair, food, wipes or feminine products.
🛁 Bathrooms – Be gentle with vintage fixtures & always use ventilation fans to expel humidity.

🔇 Quiet hours – After 8 PM, keep outdoor voices low. No loud music outside after 8pm, and be mindful of how loud you are. Music can be listened to inside as loud as you`d like. Just don`t disturb neighbors with loud outdoor music.

In River Falls, near Glen Park/Kinni River/UWRF (can walk!). Lower level of house -- large bedroom, private retro bathroom (it's big; brand new toilet and tub/shower; not en suite but two steps away), driveway/off street parking. Very private and quiet - you might not even see us!

WiFi/SMART TV, fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee, tea, snacks, yoga mat, umbrella. Locally licensed. Tell us what brings you to town and estimated time of arrival. We'll be ready for you.

The space
Comfortable and quiet large bedroom, private bathroom. Quiet lower level of house - come and go as you please. It's likely that you will not see nor hear us!

Difficult to regulate temp sometimes (usually cool), but there is a window, fan, and heater all provided so you can adjust.

Guest access
Come and go as you please through the garage door. Code will be given to you later.

During your stay
We live in the upper levels of the house but often don't physically meet/see our guests. Always available by text. We respect your privacy. We can recommend many restaurants and activities (and see the guide on our listing). Easy walk to Kinni river, UWRF campus, Glen park, or into town center.

Other things to note
Refrigerator stocked once with plain water and sparkling water. Let us know what will make your stay pleasant (ice, real cream, weights, iron and ironing board, etc.).

Prefer if you don't use a strong perfume in the room - many guests have allergies to fragrances! I try to stay "fragrance-free" for them.

When you leave, just leave bedding on the bed, dishes in bathroom - I will wash all of it to make sure they are spotless for the next guest!

The space
Come experience the farm life as you stay in our newly transformed riverside cottage, located on an 1800s farmstead along the Kinnickinnic River. Enjoy direct access to the river, fun and productive farm animals, and kayaks and fly-fishing gear available for rent!

The Cottage is equipped with king size beds, plush linens, fully stocked kitchenettes, beautiful riverfront views, reading nooks, patios and more! The Dwell unit has an artfully crafted walk-in rain shower and a comfy pull-out sleeper sofa. The cottage features its own private driveway and parking pad. Each unit can be accessed by using a keypad lock system located on the main entrance off individual patios.

Our newest on-site amenity: Amish built, Nordic Style, Wood-Burning Sauna! Guests of the Kinni Cottage now have access to the tradition of the Nordic Cycle. The practice of participating in the heat of a sauna followed by a cold plunge in the nearby Kinni River.

The space
You'll have access to the pool, covered patio, beautiful view of Kinnickinnic State Park, hiking on the south side; bring your bicycles if you'd like to bike on the scenic paved country roads. Enjoy complimentary coffee/tea on the spacious scenic patios in the morning.

You'll also have access to your own mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig, but upon request, feel free to use the kitchen, fridge, stove, and utensils on the main level...just clean up when you're done.

The firepit is available for use (when weather permits), please drag the hose down "just in case" and be sure to put fire out completely when done. Yard games available upon request.

Gas fireplace, DirecTV (pref xtra w/HBO, local networks, etc), private bath w/shower; queen bed in separate bedroom (2), sleeper sofa (2), with comfy large couch that easily sleeps two.

You'll have access to the entire lower level and backyard, pool, yard games, two parking spaces, private 3/4 bathroom, DirecTV, Wi-Fi now available through SwiftCurrent.

During your stay
We will most likely be present and available for any questions, but you'll have the lower level to yourself. You might see me in the pool or weeding every once in a while, but mostly will keep out of your way.

Other things to note
Rocket, our 6-year old Australian Shepherd is a bundle of energy and does best without much interteaction from our guests. There is also one cat (Hoots) who just might try to sneak downstairs (so the upstairs door must stay shut). Since Rocket gets a little "too overjoyed" with any other animals, we think it's best to keep a No Pets Policy for everyone's peace and quiet. Rocket and Hoots are not allowed in the lower level.

Who knows, one day we'll be able to open the listing to include well-mannered (and fixed) fur-friends. But until then, just The Rocket!

The space
HOT TUB AVAILABILITY: The hot tub availability is year round. The hot tub is serviced, cleaned and chemically balanced before each rental. Per local ordinance guest (s) must sign waiver prior to hot tub use. This will be provided at check in.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY FOR HOT TUB AND AMENITIES: Guest understands that there are special health risks that may be involved in using the hot tub, as well as safety risks using other areas of the cabin (fire pit and barbeque as examples). In particular, he or she understands that there are potential dangers that these amenities may present to children who are not carefully supervised as well as danger to any person using the hot tub if a person has health risks, is intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or if pregnant. The hot tub should be kept at a temperature that is less than 104 for personal safety. Guest agrees to explain the risks of using the amenities and hot tub to any guests at the cabin and to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents, medical conditions or injuries his or her guests may incur. Guest understands the risks discussed above and agrees that he or she will assume all responsibility for his or herself and their guests for the consequences of those risks.



Guest agrees to waive any claim whatsoever against Owner for accidents, medical conditions or claims arising from his or her own use or guests’ use of the cabin amenities or hot tub. Guest also understands and agrees that he or she is responsible and liable and will pay Owner upon request for any damages that occur to the cabin amenities and hot tub and its support equipment through his or her own or guests’ misuse and/or negligence, for example, but not limited to, using the incorrect detergents in the dishwasher or clothes washer, neglecting to extinguish all fires in the grill or fire pit, failing to replace and secure the hot tub cover, walking on or otherwise damaging the hot tub cover, or damaging the hot tub filtration system with foreign objects, soaps or oils, or causing excessive water overflow.

This is not your typical Airbnb or house; it's an architectural relic, recognized by the Wisconsin Historical Society, and is

Nestled on 3.6 acres, in the picturesque town of River Falls, Wisconsin, with its charming downtown shops, and proximity to scenic walking paths; this extraordinary dwelling offers so much more than just a place to stay.

The space
2300 Sq Ft Home. Living room, Dining room, Laundry room, and two bedroom suites. Each bedroom suite has a lounge space and full private bathroom. South bedroom suite has a shower, queen bed, and two twin beds. North Bedroom suite has a tub, and a King Bed. Each bedroom has outdoor access. Bedrooms have a wall separating them but there's a large architectural opening and you can hear one another from each room. Please travel only with those you have quite close relationships with.
