This property backs up to vineyards, and we enjoyed strolling through them, and along the creek as well. There is lots of space for outdoor dining, and we did utilize this once during our stay. There are also manual and electric bikes for use, and they are in excellent condition. We had intended to use them, but never had the time! The best feature of this property is the location. We were centrally located for all of the wineries that we had scheduled tours. It is also close to restaurants, shopping, and grocery. Tom and Shirley have an excellent home information sheet that was sent to us before our trip. And to our delight, we had plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, coffee, spices, etc to utilize - no picking up 100 trash bags to use only one! We will definitely look to rent this home again on our next trip to wine country!"

"Live in a 4-bedroom Tuscany-style home on top of Oakville, Napa, with an amazing view of the vineyard and valley. The master suite has a view of the pool and vineyard, and there are two additional bedrooms on the top floor, along with the master bedroom and an office on the first floor. The hot tub looks out over the vineyards and at night you can see almost every star in the galaxy. If you are tired, read a book in the hammock. If you want an activity, play bocce ball or shuffleboard. The children can busy themselves in the playhouse with the little-person sized kitchen or they can climb into the tree house over the pool and hoist the pirate flag. Walks can be taken up to Flora Springs winery or down one of a number of quaint country roads. There are also a number of bike trails and running paths for those who want more vigorous exercise. Lake Hennessy is about 15 minutes away for those who want to go fishing, or drive up to Mt. St. Helena for a climb, or wake up early one morning and take a hot air balloon over the valley with breakfast at the end. But, a trip to the Napa Valley is not complete without visits to our wonderful wineries. We are in walking distance of many including Whitehall, Franciscan, Kelham, Milat, Livingston, Hall, Heitz and Raymond- just to name a few.

- "We just stayed at Bellisima while sampling several Wineries in the St.Helena area. The house was perfect for our group. I love to cook and the kitchen was a dream to work in. It every item you could possibly need. Often times rental homes have just the bare essentials and then the cheapest quality. It was also stocked with all the basics so we didn't need to stop at the grocery store first thing, just so we could have coffee in the morning. After doing 3 wine tastings most days, we were happy to spend the evenings in playing games, again courtesy of the owner. It was a little cold so we didn't get to spend a lot of time in the well appointed backyard, but the guys took full advantage of the chipping and putting area while the ladies went for walks in the morning before starting our day. The location is convenient but just far enough off the busy road to make it peaceful. The surrounding vineyards we spectacular for strolling around during our morning walk. The artwork was plentiful and fun to enjoy as well. Thanks for opening up your home for us and letting us eat fresh picked oranges from your backyard. Unless you come from the cold midwest that was a treat you can't even imagine."

- "We stayed for over a month with our toddler and nanny. It was fantastic! It's next door to Rancho Caymus Hotel, and you have access to their pool, jacuzzi, and fire pits. They even provide weekly housekeeping, and coffee/breakfast if you walk next door! The home is spotless and feels brand new, with big desks in both of the master bedrooms if you need to WFH (like I do). A super comfortable couch, and large dining room. A great stocked kitchen. Location is amazing, across the street from the iconic La Luna grocery/burrito place, and a few doors down to Rutherford Grill and wineries. We took advantage of all of that. Staff are lovely, and the home is very well stocked. There is a nice outdoor dining room and grill. The only thing that would make it even better is to make the backyard more usable (i.e. extend the deck, couches, private fire pit, etc)... but that's just a fun ask :) We'll definitely be back for a few months next year!! Thanks for the hospitality!"

Caspar Estate is located in the Rutherford Appellation on a hillside overlooking the Napa Valley. Our grandfather, Caspar Escher purchased property in 1962, as stewards of the land we have revived our old Mission olive grove, planted Italian variety olive trees and organically farmed the land, adding solar panels, predatory bird perches and bee hives.
