This wonderful wine country retreat is the perfect way to truly enjoy the beautiful and special village of St. Helena. It is a short single block walk Main Street, 2 minutes walk to Merryvale tasting room, 3 minutes walk to the lovely Farmstead restaurant, 2 minutes to the newly opened Charter Oak restaurant, 3 minutes to Gott's Roadside and 5 minutes walking to all the other wonderful coffee shops and bakeries, tasting rooms and shopping Main Street has to offer! It is also a quick 1/2 block walk to the Napa Valley Health Spa with a lovely heated salt-water pool, gym with steam room and spa treatments (adults only). In my opinion St. Helena is the best of the wine country towns. Our home provides WALKING access to all the wonders St. Helena has to offer including so many amazing restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, movie theater, wine tasting and generally a stunning and cozy atmosphere. If you are taking classes at the Culinary Institute there is a free shuttle or it is a 5 minute drive. This home is located on a quiet cute cul-de-sac just in back of the new Charter Oak restaurant, Tra Vigne Pizzeria and also the Southbridge Inn. You can walk out the end of the block down a nice little path to town.

In the home, we have everything you should need for a wonderful stay! 3 beautiful bedrooms. Each room has a comfy and high-end king bed with Frette or Yves Delorme sheets. The master has its own bathroom and the other 2 bedrooms share a full bath with shower over tub in the hall between them. The small but lovely outdoor backyard is perfect for spending evenings and mornings outside enjoying the weather with friends. 4 great bikes are at the house for your enjoyment.

For Covid concerns: I have one wonderful cleaning lady who has been with us for 12 years. We take careful care of the house without allowing many people in and out.

PLEASE NOTE (Updated 6/22)-This home is in a residential area surrounded by other homes with families living in them. We want to respect this aspect of the street and ask that you do not book our house if you're interested in "partying." There is strict noise ordinance in Saint Helena that we follow from 9pm-7am where there shall be absolutely zero noise heard by the neighbors. Our house was originally built in 1881 and recently renovated by us in 2013. It has all new appliances, bathrooms and a wonderful world class kitchen. We have central heat/air conditioning both upstairs and downstairs. The main house consists of three bedrooms-there are two bedrooms upstairs with queen beds; both have attached bathrooms with walk in carrara marble showers. The third bedroom is downstairs with a queen bed and an attached recently (2017) updated bathroom. The 4th bedroom is a detached unit a stones throw away from the main house that has a California King bed, a bathroom and a small kitchenette. Our main kitchen has an 8 burner gas range stove with griddle, copper apron sink, butcher block island, all new stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher. We have a family room with a 55-inch television and couches to fit at least 8 people. We have a formal dining room that seats up to 8 comfortably. We also have a laundry/mud room. Our porch lines our entire front yard and has rocker chairs and tables for hours of people/train watching, card games, cocktails or take a (very) short stroll through the vineyard! Enjoy a glass of wine on our porch while watching the wine train go by! There is also a large back yard with plenty of parking and an outdoor kitchen with seating available for 8.

- "This was our third visit to this property. We so enjoy coming to Saint Helena and staying here. Sandra is a great host always getting right back if there are any problems. Not that there is any. The house is centrally located walking distance to downtown. Neighborhood is super quiet. As a guest we respected that as well. Great backyard for just sitting enjoying a bottle of wine or using the backyard cookout. Kitchen is well equipped, house is very clean. We visited five wineries and played three rounds of golf. Never traveled over half an hour."

Open the French doors in the family room, on the lower level, and you will find yourself in our private garden. The lower floor of Bella Notte is fully carpeted. Once in the privacy of our fenced lawn, deck and garden you will be able to enjoy meals al fresco. A charcoal BBQ is provided for your use. You will easily be able to visit our local specialty market, or the seasonal Farmers Market, as Bella Notte is only a five-minute walk into the center of St. Helena.

This location allows you to stroll into town for shopping, or spa treatments at Health Club Napa Valley. Health Club Napa Valley offers a pool, gym with cardio equipment, yoga classes, spinning classes and full spa services. Enjoy a leisurely walk to lunch or dinner at one of our many fine restaurants. - "My wife and I are thinking about moving to Napa Valley in a few years and wanted to get more of a feel of what it’s like to truly live and work from there as opposed to always being there on vacation. This house worked out perfectly for us. It had the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO that we’ve ever stayed at as well as very well-stocked with sundry items such as paper towels, plastic bags, toilet paper, etc.. The house was very well laid out for two people as well as being roomy enough for us to have guests a couple times during our five weeks stay. It had a huge backyard that felt like the biggest backyard in all of Saint Helena. Great for relaxing as well as doing a little entertaining back there. The town of Saint Helena itself is charming and full of restaurants and interesting little shops. Most were walkable from the house. Our favorite was the burger and salad and old fashioneds at the happy hour at the Charter Oak restaurant. Market was another favorite restaurant. Owner was very responsive to all of our questions, and even managed to get Comcast over to the house on Easter day to fix a little Internet problem that came up. I wish I had the same sort of sway with Comcast. Overall a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it for others"

This home is a beautifully restored and updated historic farmhouse from 1902, located in the heart of downtown St. Helena and just steps away from local restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms and shopping. It boasts a tastefully furnished 700 square foot wrap around covered porch great for coffee and the morning paper and of course perfect for relaxing in the afternoon and evening with a glass of wine. It has two bedrooms complete with their own private bathrooms. The house has a fully equipped kitchen that includes a large pantry housing wine coolers and plenty of wine storage. There is a seperate dining area off the kitchen for more formal dining. The living room is a comfortable place to curl up and watch television or a movie, and when it's chilly there's a beautiful gas fireplace to enjoy. The farmhouse also has a fully equipped laundry room with a washer, dryer, iron, ironing board and plenty of storage.

The property also includes four brand new, classic beach cruisers for cruising around town and visiting the local restaurants, shops and tasting rooms.

The house is located in a quiet family oriented neighborhood. Loud noise and unruly behavior is not permitted on the property. Tenants are required to respect our neighbors and home.

- "This beautiful home in St. Helena is perfect for a visit to wine country. Our daughters from Hawaii and Atlanta joined us on the trip. The home has wonderful furnishings and all the supplies to start your visit, even a bottle of champagne to greet you! The kitchen is well equipped for all cooking needs and the porch and outdoor space are lovely for relaxing after a day in the valley. We walked to dinner the first night to Farmstead and rode bikes to wine tastings at Salvestrin and Flora Springs but there are more very close by. The Safeway is within walking distance to the house for groceries. We like St. Helena as it is centrally located with easy access to Napa, Yountville, Calistoga and more. We ventured over to Sonoma one day, hiked Bothe Napa Valley State Park, walk downtown St. Helena & Calistoga and made a trip up to Geyserville for dinner with California family. Check out the St. Helena Farmers Market for any and everything. Its just a quick bike ride behind the school and opened on Friday (May to October) 7:30 to Noon. We had a lovely time and St. Helena Farmhouse was PERFECT!!"

This is a two bedroom two bath house on a large ranch with a vineyard, winery and thoroughbred racehorses and lots of areas to explore. The RustRidge House overlooks the vineyard and is close to the county road but backs up to the forest. The approach is a paved uphill driveway. There is an outdoor staircase that leads to the entrance. The dining area, living area and kitchen are an open floor plan with lots of windows, high ceiling and hardwood floors. The kitchen is fully equipped. The dining room table is also a comfortable work space. The wraparound living room has two couches and a wall mounted TV. The bedrooms are decorated with a Southwest and Native American theme. The bathrooms have earth tones and tile floors. There is a wrap around deck with access by sliding glass doors. The space has its own wifi, streaming TV and an electric fireplace.

The space
Interior Spaces:
1) The Cottage has a beautifully appointed living room with 45" HDTV and streaming channels, fully equipped and remodeled kitchen, eat-in kitchen for two, fully remodeled bathroom with shower, and a cozy bedroom with queen size bed and closet (very quiet). LR couch also pulls out to a full size bed.

2) Separate from the Cottage is a completely private media room/office where you can play games (cards, chess, Jenga, Rummikub or Dominoes), watch streaming channels from the 65" HDTV on a very comfortable sofa sleeper or recliner, or focus your time from the office area where you have a fully dedicated, high speed internet line, color printer and laptop riser. This space is an ideal setting remote work or play because it is fully separate from the cottage! (Note: Guests who sleep here on the queen/full sofa bed, which is very comfortable, will need to use the Cottage's bathroom.)

3) Outdoor spaces: Fully fenced yard with gorgeous landscaping, a private patio with shade sail, 5 adirondack chairs, and an outdoor coffee table. From the shaded patio, enjoy coffee, tea or a glass of wine while listening to the abundance of birds chirping at sunrise or sunset. Rest on the hammock after a long day of fun in the Wine Country!

4) Surroundings: This is a completely private, peaceful and tranquil setting while being minutes away from a multitude of activities happening North on Main Street St. Helena (2 mins) or Calistoga (15 mins) and South in Rutherford, Oakville, Yountville and Napa (3-15 mins away).

Our home is fully equipped with everything you'll need to enjoy the Napa Valley. As you walk into the home, you're greeted with vaulted ceilings and designer furniture from Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, West Elm and Williams-Sonoma Home. A brand new gas fireplace can be enjoyed in the evenings with your glass of wine, or you can retire to the backyard with it's inviting oak tree canopy and your favorite glass of wine. With a gorgeous kitchen with marble counters, a brand new commercial gas range, and all the wine glasses and serving dishes you'll need to host, you can cook up amazing meals for yourself, family and friends.

The primary bedroom is complete with a King Size bed and custom mattress, along with french doors to the gorgeous backyard. The primary bathroom has marble flooring and countertops, and a brand new shower.

The first guest bedroom is complete with a queen size bed and the second guest bedroom is complete with a full size bed. The guest bath has a jetted tub for you to enjoy after a long bike ride on the Silverado Trail or after a day of wine tasting.

The home has immense curb appeal and the yard is maintained weekly by our landscaping crew. You'll love taking walks in the morning to the vineyard that is less than a block from our home, or to main street, which is just 4 blocks away. Main Street offers all the shopping, dining and wine tasting you can handle. We are close to many parks, lots of hiking trails and all of the best wineries in the Napa Valley!

Please note -- we do have a guest home on the property that is rented separately. Usually to traveling nurses or wine professionals. The guest home is completely separate from the main home and both homes have their own yards and entrances.

Note: We do accept up to 2 dogs, breed-specific, as our insurance only allows certain breeds. No other pets are allowed. Please reach out before booking if you have a dog.

The Poolside room is at the far end of the house and is the only guest room with direct access to the pool area. There are outside doors on both side of the room giving it a very airy feeling. There is a covered patio outside the room and a flower garden. The room is decorated with southwest colors and themes. The bathroom has lots of light. The floors are hardwood.

This guest bedroom is at the far end of our guest house and has views both east and west. It has direct access to the patio and pool area and has a private entrance.

The private bathroom has a large shower and skylight.

The Poolside room is one of five bedrooms in our guest house, a large rambling ranch style home in the vineyards of Napa Valley. It is located on a 600 acre ranch with an onsite vineyard and winery. Although the room is close to the pool, it is a very private corner of the house.

The guesthouse has a large commercial kitchen, a large common living room with a fireplace and a glassed in dining room. There are front and back decks with great views of Chiles Valley (our narrow and picturesque valley within the the Napa Valley, with ancient oaks, cascading hills and vineyards.)

Enjoy our natural setting where wildlife abounds and the only sounds you hear are your footsteps and the wide variety of birds in the forest.

Wake up to a full country breakfast, take a deep breath and experience the fresh morning air; walk thru the vineyards with our labradors; take a run along the country road or hike to the top of the hill.

You will have access to the entire property and enjoy the views of the vineyard but no walking in the vineyard or sampling the grapes - even if they look so appealing!

Please note a rental contract is required to be signed within 48 hours of booking. Minimum age is 25 years old and photo ID will be required.

No pets but service or emotional support animals are allowed but would not be then left in the house without the guests.

The hexagon cottage is located on a 500 acre ranch and winery. It is tucked up against a hill and is private and quiet. it is in the forest so if you are uncomfortable with forest animals like birds, reptiles and insects this may not be the place for you. It has a bedroom with a queen bed and a large living room/dining area/kitchen and small deck.

The whole ranch is accessible to our guests. This is a great place to see how a vineyard grows and how a winery operates. There is great hiking on the property, bicycling in the area and walking areas. There is a pool on the property that is shared with guests of our main guest house.

My home is open and light with high ceilings throughout, modern furnishings, high-end appliances, comfortable beds and bedding (one king, two queens) and a serene pool, spa and outdoor dining area. There is a separate office off of the kitchen/dining area and a small side patio for your morning coffee. The primary ensuite bedroom opens out to the pool and spa and each of the other two bedrooms has its own bathroom. A comfy giant hammock is suspended between the redwoods and a wonderful reading and relaxation spot.

You'll love the in-town lifestyle enabling you to walk or bike almost everywhere you want to go, with a multitude of additional wineries and restaurants just a short drive away. Cheers!

This home can accommodate 6 people in 3 bedrooms. These 3 bedrooms offer one room with a king bed and 2 rooms with queen beds. There are additional sleeping arrangements. Guests will find a single pull out bed in the living room and a trundle bed (2 singles) in the office/computer room.

Following completion of the online booking process, guests will receive a rental agreement via email with instructions from the Property Manager. A refundable $1500 security deposit is required. This rental document is completed and sent to the owners. When the completed rental agreement and deposit is received, guests will receive a written confirmation from the Property Manager, which will include directions and check in instructions. Note if completed rental agreement is not received within 7 days of booking and before Check in, the booking will be cancelled without refunds or check in will be delayed. A copy of valid photo id is required with the agreement.

Everything you will need to make your favorite meal awaits you in this kitchen. The kitchen features a full sized gas range, oven, microwave and granite counter tops. Bella Notte's Master bedroom, located on the lower floor of the house, features a queen-sized bed, full private bathroom and access to our garden. A second bedroom, on the main floor of the house, provides a full-sized double bed, with an attached full bathroom. An additional sleeping arrangement is provided in the family TV room, not private but with a standard-sized sofa sleeper. Open the French doors in the family room, on the lower level, and you will find yourself in our private garden. The lower floor of Bella Notte is fully carpeted. Once in the privacy of our fenced lawn and garden you will be able to enjoy meals al fresco. A charcoal BBQ is provided for your use. You will easily be able to visit our local specialty market, or the seasonal Farmers Market, as Bella Notte is only a 3 minute walk into the center of St. Helena. This location allows you to stroll into town for shopping, or spa treatments at Health Club Napa Valley. Health Club Napa Valley offers a pool, gym with cardio equipment, yoga classes, spinning classes and full spa services. The space
Family History

Our grandfather, Caspar Escher went to Napa in 1962 and as stewards of the land
we have revived our old Mission olive grove, planted Italian variety olive trees
and organically farmed the land,
adding solar panels, predatory bird perches and bee hives.

We planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot,
and Sauvignon Blanc grape varietals. With Julien Fayard as our winemaker
our philosophy is aligned to produce Caspar Estate as terroir-driven wines.

The property is 25 acres, with 12 acres of Grapes, and
2 Acres of historic olives (all farmed organic) with a 4 bedroom 3.5 bath house,
​and with heated pool, spa, and tennis court, and runs on 100% solar energy!
