This wonderful wine country retreat is the perfect way to truly enjoy the beautiful and special village of St. Helena. It is a short single block walk Main Street, 2 minutes walk to Merryvale tasting room, 3 minutes walk to the lovely Farmstead restaurant, 2 minutes to the newly opened Charter Oak restaurant, 3 minutes to Gott's Roadside and 5 minutes walking to all the other wonderful coffee shops and bakeries, tasting rooms and shopping Main Street has to offer! It is also a quick 1/2 block walk to the Napa Valley Health Spa with a lovely heated salt-water pool, gym with steam room and spa treatments (adults only). In my opinion St. Helena is the best of the wine country towns. Our home provides WALKING access to all the wonders St. Helena has to offer including so many amazing restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, movie theater, wine tasting and generally a stunning and cozy atmosphere. If you are taking classes at the Culinary Institute there is a free shuttle or it is a 5 minute drive. This home is located on a quiet cute cul-de-sac just in back of the new Charter Oak restaurant, Tra Vigne Pizzeria and also the Southbridge Inn. You can walk out the end of the block down a nice little path to town.

In the home, we have everything you should need for a wonderful stay! 3 beautiful bedrooms. Each room has a comfy and high-end king bed with Frette or Yves Delorme sheets. The master has its own bathroom and the other 2 bedrooms share a full bath with shower over tub in the hall between them. The small but lovely outdoor backyard is perfect for spending evenings and mornings outside enjoying the weather with friends. 4 great bikes are at the house for your enjoyment.

For Covid concerns: I have one wonderful cleaning lady who has been with us for 12 years. We take careful care of the house without allowing many people in and out.

PLEASE NOTE (Updated 6/22)-This home is in a residential area surrounded by other homes with families living in them. We want to respect this aspect of the street and ask that you do not book our house if you're interested in "partying." There is strict noise ordinance in Saint Helena that we follow from 9pm-7am where there shall be absolutely zero noise heard by the neighbors. Our house was originally built in 1881 and recently renovated by us in 2013. It has all new appliances, bathrooms and a wonderful world class kitchen. We have central heat/air conditioning both upstairs and downstairs. The main house consists of three bedrooms-there are two bedrooms upstairs with queen beds; both have attached bathrooms with walk in carrara marble showers. The third bedroom is downstairs with a queen bed and an attached recently (2017) updated bathroom. The 4th bedroom is a detached unit a stones throw away from the main house that has a California King bed, a bathroom and a small kitchenette. Our main kitchen has an 8 burner gas range stove with griddle, copper apron sink, butcher block island, all new stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher. We have a family room with a 55-inch television and couches to fit at least 8 people. We have a formal dining room that seats up to 8 comfortably. We also have a laundry/mud room. Our porch lines our entire front yard and has rocker chairs and tables for hours of people/train watching, card games, cocktails or take a (very) short stroll through the vineyard! Enjoy a glass of wine on our porch while watching the wine train go by! There is also a large back yard with plenty of parking and an outdoor kitchen with seating available for 8.

The City and our neighbors strictly enforce this limit on us, so we have to enforce it on our guests. This policy will be enforced with exterior cameras that monitor the entrances and exits from the home only. Failure to adhere to this limit on occupancy will result in forfeiture of damage deposit and/or immediate eviction from property.

- "This was our third visit to this property. We so enjoy coming to Saint Helena and staying here. Sandra is a great host always getting right back if there are any problems. Not that there is any. The house is centrally located walking distance to downtown. Neighborhood is super quiet. As a guest we respected that as well. Great backyard for just sitting enjoying a bottle of wine or using the backyard cookout. Kitchen is well equipped, house is very clean. We visited five wineries and played three rounds of golf. Never traveled over half an hour."

Bella Notte's master bedroom, located on the lower floor of the house, features a queen-sized bed, full private bathroom and access to our garden.
A second bedroom, on the main floor of the house, also provides a queen-sized bed, with a full bathroom.

An additional sleeping arrangement is provided in the family room, with a standard-sized sofa sleeper (and a twin-sized roll-away bed is also available upon request, at no fee).

Open the French doors in the family room, on the lower level, and you will find yourself in our private garden. The lower floor of Bella Notte is fully carpeted. Once in the privacy of our fenced lawn, deck and garden you will be able to enjoy meals al fresco. A charcoal BBQ is provided for your use. You will easily be able to visit our local specialty market, or the seasonal Farmers Market, as Bella Notte is only a five-minute walk into the center of St. Helena.

This location allows you to stroll into town for shopping, or spa treatments at Health Club Napa Valley. Health Club Napa Valley offers a pool, gym with cardio equipment, yoga classes, spinning classes and full spa services. Enjoy a leisurely walk to lunch or dinner at one of our many fine restaurants. Market, Charlie’s, Farmstead, Goose & Gander, and Cook are all in easy walking distance. If you would like to enjoy the best burgers in the Valley, you can simply walk to Gott's Roadside.
Amenities: A charcoal BBQ is provided for your use on the patio of the enclosed yard and garden. Plus we offer telephone (local calling), WiFi, cable television, washer, dryer, dishwasher, iron and ironing board.

- "Great St Helena Walking Trip and very nice, dog friendly, comfy house (loaded with cook books if you enjoy cooking), easy walk to many restaurants, such as Gotts, which is one of the best restaurants for dogs, with it's huge outdoor parklike setup, but many others dog friendly things to do as well, such as having wine by the fountain at MerryVale, or Gelato at Roman Holiday Gelato, or walking the town and neighborhoods, parks, and schools, etc. Fun trip to explore St Helena. - "My wife and I are thinking about moving to Napa Valley in a few years and wanted to get more of a feel of what it’s like to truly live and work from there as opposed to always being there on vacation. This house worked out perfectly for us. It had the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO that we’ve ever stayed at as well as very well-stocked with sundry items such as paper towels, plastic bags, toilet paper, etc.. The house was very well laid out for two people as well as being roomy enough for us to have guests a couple times during our five weeks stay. It had a huge backyard that felt like the biggest backyard in all of Saint Helena. Great for relaxing as well as doing a little entertaining back there. The town of Saint Helena itself is charming and full of restaurants and interesting little shops. Most were walkable from the house. Our favorite was the burger and salad and old fashioneds at the happy hour at the Charter Oak restaurant. Market was another favorite restaurant. Owner was very responsive to all of our questions, and even managed to get Comcast over to the house on Easter day to fix a little Internet problem that came up. I wish I had the same sort of sway with Comcast. Overall a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it for others"
