Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads..
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

- This home has a gas wall heater in the living room. It takes a min to get going but once it does, it’s nice and toasty in there! Please open bedroom doors while the home is heating up to allow heat to disperse throughout the home.
In addition, there are floor heaters in each bedroom. Setting them to comfort or low setting will take the chill off the room. They can sometimes work too well, so turn them off after the room warms up to avoid overheating.
- The number of overnight occupants shall not exceed two persons per permitted bedroom. Children six years of age or older are counted towards the occupancy limits.

TAHOE RENTAL ORDINANCE

1. The hot tub cannot be used after 10pm (if this home has one)
2. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all rentals.
3. Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box.
4. We cannot host extra people or allow parties.
5. We cannot accommodate extra cars, parking on the street or dirt.
PLEASE NOTE: Neighbors may alert the police who will issue fines to guests found to be in violation. In order to protect this owner’s permit, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave if this happens.

- BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: Due to snow levels and freezing temps, BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shovelled during the Winter but if you can dig it out and there is propane - feel free to use!
- LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out, if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time.
- NO AC: Like most homes in Tahoe, there is no AC but we do provide plenty of fans.
- HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal bbq’s are prohibited.
- BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows and view from afar. Please do not feed our bears.
- TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom.
- SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes :)
- MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: It’s not uncommon at any home in Tahoe to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, let us know and we will do our best to mitigate such findings.

If you prefer a large updated house yet love the rustic surroundings of Fallen Leaf Lake, you will love this house. There are 3 large bedrooms and a loft area upstairsso plenty of room for the whole family. The loft would make a great kids sleeping area or second living room. The kitchen and bathrooms are bright and updated so you will have all the upgrades of a city home. The kitchen is fully stocked, has a gas range and is open to the dining room and large living area. The living room has vaulted ceilings and is very spacious. The big floor to ceiling windows overlook the trees with filtered views of the lake. The customwood stair case and rock fireplace of this home are what give it the rustic mountain feel.The deck off the living room is a perfect place to host your nightly family gatherings. There is a small gas grill available also. Two of the 3 bedrooms have their own private decks for enjoying the forest scenery too! The general store and lake are less than a 3 minute walk away so everything Fallen Leaf Lake has to offer is very close. Kayaks can be rented down at the marina to keep your kids busy all day.

Fallen Leaf Lake is a great area with lots of outdoor activities and this vacation rental is just steps from the lake, the general store and many miles of hiking trails. What makes Fallen Leaf Lake so wonderful is that it is small enough to walk everywhere making it ideal for a family with kids or couples looking to get away. Fallen Leaf is also only 25 minutes to the state line fun so if you are looking for a night out, you are right there.There is a hiking trail right next to this home that leads up to beautiful views of Fallen Leaf Lake and Lake Tahoe.Camp Richardson beach in South Lake Tahoeis popular during the Summer and is only a short bike ride or drive away.
