Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads..
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

- This home has a gas wall heater in the living room. It takes a min to get going but once it does, it’s nice and toasty in there! Please open bedroom doors while the home is heating up to allow heat to disperse throughout the home.
In addition, there are floor heaters in each bedroom. Setting them to comfort or low setting will take the chill off the room. They can sometimes work too well, so turn them off after the room warms up to avoid overheating.
- The number of overnight occupants shall not exceed two persons per permitted bedroom. Children six years of age or older are counted towards the occupancy limits.

TAHOE RENTAL ORDINANCE

2. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all rentals.

4. We cannot host extra people or allow parties.
5. We cannot accommodate extra cars, parking on the street or dirt.
PLEASE NOTE: Neighbors may alert the police who will issue fines to guests found to be in violation. In order to protect this owner’s permit, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave if this happens.

- TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom.
- SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes :)
- MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: It’s not uncommon at any home in Tahoe to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, let us know and we will do our best to mitigate such findings.

- "The house was amazing. Set up perfectly for families with young kids. Located in a quiet neighborhood that feels like your in the middle of the woods but the drive to town is only about 5-10 minutes. One room with bunk beads, one with a queen and attached bathroom and a second small upstairs area with another full/queen, bunk beds, couch and TV area. The kitchen is great and the living room area was a nice get-together spot in the evenings. I would definitely rent again."

TAHOE RENTAL ORDINANCES:
The following laws were set forth by the county and apply to every home in Tahoe. They were put in place to keep Lake Tahoe an enjoyable and safe place to visit for years to come!
1. 10pm - 8am hours are quiet time for all rentals as determined by the county.
2. Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box.
3. We cannot host extra people above the permitted number of guests or allow parties on the premises.
4. We cannot accommodate extra cars on the property. Parking on the street and dirt is prohibited.
5. If your home has a hot tub, please enjoy it until 10pm at which time hot tubs are no longer allowed to be used.

PLEASE NOTE: Noise levels are closely monitored in Tahoe and neighbors may alert the police in the event of excessive noise. Fines will be issued to guests found in violation of noise regulations. In order to protect the homeowner permit, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave in the event of noise complaints.

IMPORTANT INFO:
• QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD: Nestled away in nature, Tahoe at night becomes very peaceful and quiet. As a result, we can only host groups that respect Tahoe's county appointed quiet hours. Our guests generally have no issues abiding by these rules, simply head inside or to the casinos by 10pm. We appreciate your understanding!
• KEEP TAHOE BLUE: Please help us keep Tahoe a natural wonder by appropriately disposing of trash when visiting our beaches and trails. If you pack it in, please pack it out.
• TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance as we typically do not offer refunds in the event of covid, smoke, fires, weather, snowstorms, road closures, etc.
• WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY: After the historic winter season of 2023, we recommend travelling with 4WD vehicles, equipped with snow tires and tire chains. Drivers should have experience with snowy conditions. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common. Please always wear snow boots and walk with care on icy pathways.
• BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: Due to snow levels and freezing temps, BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shoveled during the winter. But if you can dig it out and there is propane - feel free to use outdoor spaces.
• LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out if you wish to request a late check out time. The first hour is free, followed by a $25/hour fee with check out time not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel as far as 1 hour to clean your home, so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time unless otherwise requested.
• HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts, and charcoal BBQs are prohibited.
• BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows, and view bears from afar. Please do not feed the bears.
• TOWELS: We supply one bath towel and one wash cloth per occupant, as well as one hand towel per bathroom.
• SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance, but we take our guests' privacy VERY seriously. There are never indoor cameras. Most cameras are only in use to monitor snow and noise levels, plus a little bear watching.
• MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: Any time you’re staying at a Tahoe home, it’s not uncommon to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found, it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, it’s simply life in Tahoe! Please let us know if you find any critters and we will promptly mitigate.

- "Such a blast with our big group. Awesome house! I’d definitely go back. :)" - "We booked this home for a 20 person family reunion. The PROS - biggest pro was the "club room" in the basement with huge bar, pool table, foosball and nice sound system. Very large space that accommodated everyone for the after dinner parties every night. The home was also very spacious for our large group - with 2 separate apartments for groups that wanted their own space. The CONS - the refrigerator in the main kitchen didn't work well. We thought we fixed it but then actually heated up overnight and we lost all the food in there. There was another fridge in the laundry room but was not enough room for all the food. There were fridges in the apartments which helped but was not very convenient (lots of steps to get to). The owner was communicative and indicated a new fridge would be coming as I did notice this problem showed up on a previous review. I hope for future stays that is taken care of. We also noticed a few mice but it wasn't anything that we had a big issue with. As long as the refrigerator gets fixed I would definitely recommend this house to anyone with a large group."

- "Great stay" - "Towels provided were dark in color instead of white. While checkout we saw cleaning guy taking out white towels from other units. We felt that the towels provided in our unit was not cleaned . Unit has no trash box or any arrangements. Overall an okay stay and will come to this place in summer only as a last option." - "Great location for a South Lake Tahoe adventure - more towards biking, pre/post hiking, beach than casino/ shopping. Old-school motel where the walls are paper thin, so luck of the draw on who your neighbors are for the night.. clean and simply/retro vibe ..worked well for me."

- "The room has a cabin feel and was cozy and clean. It was pretty quiet and peaceful there. My only complaint is I had warm water the first night for a shower and the next two days, the water was cold. A bear comes through the parking lot periodically (which I never saw in three days but others did) They had dishes and coffee supplied which was nice. I would definitely stay here again if I knew I’d have hot water. The employees are very friendly 🙂"

- "The property was everything we expected it to be. We decided to have a quick night over in South Lake Tahoe and this place was perfect for my husband and I and our two dogs. It is located along the main drag of South Lake Tahoe with some good places to eat nearby. Although it was quick, it was a nice way to getaway in this cute studio!" - "This property has been neglected. Cigarette butts and dog feces on grounds--perhaps because there were no bins to dispose of waste. Sparse outdoor seating. Wiped up a water spill on the floor of our room with a paper towel and it came away filthy. The bed had as much motion as a water bed. No vanity in the bathroom so where do you put your toiletries? Sparse kitchenette with minimal utensils and strange mini-appliances. Convenient location but far from comfortable accommodations."

If you are looking for a retreat that takes you back in time without the t.v. and simply relax by the lake, then this is your vacation cabin rental. This is not a luxury vacation rental, but has family charm and provides a really great place to call home for a few days at the lake. Wake up with coffee roasting on the old stove and enjoy the sunrise over-looking the lake on the large deck. There is plenty of room to sleep outdoors on the deck and take in the pristine crisp air of the night.

From this cabin you have easy access to the beach below and swim docks. The marina offers small boat and slip rentals. Just above is the new General Store with a deli and lots of gifts to share with your friends. As far as outdoor recreation, you can enter Desolation Wilderness easily from the cabin heading towards Glen Alpine waterfalls, Lily lake and beyond. Mount Tallac is also accessible for those spectacular 360 degree views of Lake Tahoe. Don't miss out on the Angora Lakes hike either. There is so much to do you won't know you're in Lake Tahoe unless you want to sneak over for some entertainment and nightlife.

This cabin has a living room with two futon couches and a wood-burning stove for heat. There is a bunk room, separate full bed bedroom and king bed upstairs. This cabin is enjoyed by the family and their personal belongings will remain in the cabin. Their cabin is your cabin.
