The space
You get the entire house to yourself. The garden melts into the bush to allow wildlife to wander through. There is a lovely large veranda. Star-gaze at the night sky or thaw your soul by a flickering fire. The house has a beautiful indigenous garden with it's own pool. Please note:
that the pool is unfenced, and may not be suitable for non-swimmers.

The living areas have Air-conditioners (1 in the main living area, and 1 in the passage near the bedrooms) - this cools down most of the house in summer. All the rooms open onto a large veranda.

The house has a Solar power invertor back-up system, which will provide power during Eskom load-shedding.

It can sleep 4 adults and 1 child in 2 large spacious rooms. All rooms have ceiling fans.

Mkhulu's House is a private bush home with a magnificent view of the Hluhluwe river and has its own swimming pool. The house is designed for outdoor living and entertaining. Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, outside gas barbeque and boma ( log fire area ). The house is just 10 kilometers from Hluhluwe and located in a private game reserve with a fantastic restaurant within walking distance from the house.

The space
The house is private and away from any other buildings on the conservancy ( game reserve ) . Beautiful antelope are regular visitors to the grass surrounding the house and you can watch them grazing from the terrace or poolside. There are two bedrooms, the main bedroom has a double bed and the guest room has two 3/4 beds that can be joined to make a double. Both rooms are en suite and airconditioned.

The house is yours for sole use while you stay. Make yourself at home, literally. The house is very private, a gardener and a housekeeper will make their daily servicing rounds to make beds, wash dishes etc. If you would prefer no staff at the house during your stay simply ask the reception on arrival and check in.

There is a fantastic self guided walk on the conservancy that is 3.5 kilometres and easy to walk, it starts and ends at the lodge carpark.
