- "Family of 4. The property is really pretty. Its a smaller hotel but that was a good think. The service and hospitality made it seem like a boutique property. The hotel is right on the nile and offers help with temple tours and excursions so you can turn your brain off and dont have to prebpom anything. Its a short walk to Luxor temple but we warned that once you leave the sanctuary of the hotel youre going to get bombarded with hagglers. Food and really delicious and reasonable so you can dine on the property and have lots of reat options. Con: outdated bathrooms. Rooms are really nice but bathrooms need to be upgraded. "

It's surrounded by quiet farmland, small villages, banana plantations, with a stunning view of the river. If/when you find the hotel manager (he doesn't live onsite), he's happy to arrange a taxi for you - we had a local East Bank taxi and driver for the whole day to explore Valley of the Queens etc. for less than 20 Euros. While there's no restaurant at the hotel, Aladdin's is great and less than a 10 min walk - owner of Aladdin's can arrange anything including Felucca rides. Finally, the hotel garden is gorgeous and a wonderful place to chill. The negatives. The manager claims he'll order you food (he'll send a boy to a local shop to buy a beer or soda) but nothing is listed or organized. The pool is unheated. There weren't enough blankets (chilly nights in Dec). This place could be great with some planning."
