- "You need to know this. Nile View Hotel is not really a hotel. It's 3 buildings in a compound containing basic furnished apartments, but with no reception or 24/7 management. The positives. It's surrounded by quiet farmland, small villages, banana plantations, with a stunning view of the river. It's 2 miles from the bustle of East Luxor and a totally different experience than staying in a tourist hotel downtown. Watch the birds and animals, walk through the fields, chat to locals. The hotel is actually easy to get to once you work it all out. 100 Egyptian pounds taxi from the ferry drop off at East Luxor or a 40 min walk along quiet country lanes. Alternatively, catch a motor boat from nearby Aladdin's Restaurant by Banana Island straight to West Luxor. If/when you find the hotel manager (he doesn't live onsite), he's happy to arrange a taxi for you - we had a local East Bank taxi and driver for the whole day to explore Valley of the Queens etc. for less than 20 Euros. While there's no restaurant at the hotel, Aladdin's is great and less than a 10 min walk - owner of Aladdin's can arrange anything including Felucca rides. Finally, the hotel garden is gorgeous and a wonderful place to chill. The negatives. The manager claims he'll order you food (he'll send a boy to a local shop to buy a beer or soda) but nothing is listed or organized. The pool is unheated. There weren't enough blankets (chilly nights in Dec). This place could be great with some planning."

Hi dears my flat in the second floor in a very good location in the west bank of Luxor city it's 5 minutes walking from the statues of memnon 7 minutes from the Valley of the kings by car and 5 minutes by car from Hatshepsut temple
and the local ferry boats a very quiet place for relaxing with mountain view and a garden view.

The space
We are situated in a very QUIET & SAFE neighborhood on the WEST bank, which is less touristic than the east bank. We can host up to 3 guests, with 1 private bedroom for 2 and one fold out sofa bed/couch for 1 person. There is one bathroom.

You'll be close to a lot of main attractions to visit, and if you want to visit the east bank, just take a quick boat ride across the Nile. Only a 15 minute car ride to the ancient Egyptian sites: The Valley of the Kings, The Valley of the Queens, Colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsut Temple, Medinet Habu Temple, Ramesseum, Papyrus and Alabaster Factories - without crossing the Nile. Our building is completely secure.

Welcome! You will have access to everything on the property, including a roof top deck to watch the sunrise, hot air balloons, sunset, and take in a view of the Nile River and surrounding valleys. We also have a beautifully landscaped garden to relax in after a long day of seeing the sights in Luxor. Please, make yourself at home!

You will feel safe and relaxed at our apartment - which is especially nice after long, hot days exploring the sights and the city!

*Special note: under Egyptian law, an unmarried Egyptian and foreigner of the opposite sex are not allowed to stay in the same apartment (you must have a marriage certificate to show upon arrival). This law does not apply to 2 foreigners of the opposite sex - married or unmarried are completely allowed! Unfortunately, bookings that do not comply with this law will not be refunded.
