Tucked into the lower east side of Salt Creek Canyon sits this beautiful hand-crafted 580 square foot guest house on nine acres. Originally built by owner as a writing and painting studio in the late 1980s, it has an open floor plan with a wood beam ceiling and pine plank flooring. All wood furniture is made by owner. The screened in porch opens onto two wooden decks that over look a series of cascading ponds and Salt Creek farther below. A separate driveway from Salt Creek Road (also known as Craig Ranch Road) with carport provides parking and privacy.
Location makes it very easy to get to where you want to go, whether it is to the park, to town or to the end of south fork and lady bug trail. A half mile walk or bike ride further up Salt Creek Road gives you access to BLM (Bureau of Land Management—public lands) and Case Mountain for great hiking and mountain biking trails, as well as, Salt Creek waterfalls. (seasonally winter and spring) It is a park all unto itself.

The ‘Knoll’ is located on a secluded and quiet lane only 2 miles from the Sequoia Park entrance and it really is on a Shady Knoll :)
The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, pots, pans, dishes, spices, a blender, and a toaster, everything you would need to prepare meals in-house for those who love to cook. We also provide you with coffee and assorted teas, along with a few complimentary goodies. We provide plenty of local information and tips from your Host including where to go if you just prefer dining out! The bathrooms are always clean with plenty of fresh, clean towels. We also supply you with shampoo, conditioner, body wash.
The beds are all top of the line King size and include all new linens. These beds are comfortable! We also use hypoallergenic pillow and bed protectors for your safety and comfort.
The couches and the dining room table are comfortable as well. Yes, there is a large HD-tv and very good Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is good enough to stream movies 24/7 so we provide you with free Netflix!
There is a BBQ on the deck and the living room is situated to take in views of the (often) snow-peaked Sierra Mountains. The views from the front and back are some of the best in Three Rivers and each is completely different.
Relax on the huge back deck with a panoramic view of Moro Rock and Alta Peak! The small front deck looks over the whole town of Three Rivers. You will have a view of Eagles Peak and you can often hear the Kaweah River in the valley below.

Little Bear Cottage is a comfy home, built to house a small family, couples, or a small group. Our two-story getaway was constructed in 2019 and features the newest gadgets and kitchen amenities. It is a modern farmhouse styled home with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room, electric fireplace, laundry room, wrap around deck, and hot tub. The home sits on an elevated lot, allowing you to clearly view the breathtaking mountain scenery all around.
BEDROOMS:
The main floor bedroom contains a king bed with a gel cooling mattress,tv, dresser, and a large sliding door closet.
The master suite comprises the entire upstairs which features a king bed with a gel cooling mattress,walk-in closet, Smart tv, and cozy sitting area.

BATHROOMS:
The downstairs bath has a vanity, basin sink, walk-in shower with beautiful stone accents, and a secluded toilet.

Little Bear Cottage is perfect for outdoor activities. Enjoy a family barbecue on the large deck with our propane barbecue and shaded picnic table, watch the sun rise or set from the porch rocking chairs with a hot cup of coffee, or count the stars at night during a long soak in the outdoor hot tub.

Little Bear Cottage is a quiet, clean, and peaceful home. In order to keep it that way, we prefer the max number of guests be 4. No pets. For each additional guest above the preferred 4, there will be a $25 fee, per night, as well as an extra cleaning fee of $20 for each additional person.

Surrounded by majestic peaks, this collection of 4 cabins were originally built in the 1940's, this cabin has been completely renovated for comfort and relaxation, with the romantic glow of the knotty pine paneling preserved and all of the comforts of convenience built in! This is a favored cabin for singles, or couples looking for that true woodsy experience, but who do not want to 'rough it'. We have satelite tv and wifi!

The Live Oak is a vintage cabin, built in 1945. The cabin has been beautifully restored, while preserving the knotty pine paneling, and modernizing lighting, kitchen appliances, bathrooms, and new floors. Not a hotel in town experience. You hear the river roaring below, with lots of wildlife appearing.

This cabin is popular also with couples desiring a little more room for relaxation. The Live Oak has a back deck for gazing at the sweeping wild habitat views and is a great cabin to come back to relax after touring the Sequoia National Park.

The Live Oak is a stand alone cabin on the one acre parcel of four cabins, known as Three Rivers Cabins, ideally located backed up to the river and wildlands, just 1 and 1/2 miles from the Main Gate, aka the South Gate to the Sequoia National Park (Ash Mountain Entrance).

Privacy is also a bonus. Non of the cabins next to ours where close enough to hear any disturbance. The master bedroom is located on second level lofted space, it is partly enclosed with some wall separation from the living room area as well as a barn door, however the door has no lock and is on top of the staircase, please supervise young children if staying in master bedroom.

Our home is located in a mountain abundant with wild life. There will be leaves that constantly fall off trees, there will be spiders making their magical webs after we just dusted it off, there will be constant reminders of nature’s wonders. You will encounter lots of variety of birds, crickets, moth, lizards, critters, deer, bears and even snakes. Do not leave any food in your vehicle or outdoor areas, always keep your vehicle closed. Please attend to your children and do not allow to wander, there could be poison oak on the deep part of our property. We have giant boulders that are fun to climb on, but it is also a risk for falls as some are steep.

VERY IMPORTANT *We don’t offer refunds for weather, park closures, changes in travel itinerary, illness or mismanaged expectations. There shall be no refunds of rents for shortened stays due to family emergencies or change of # of guests attending. Power outages and internet provider being down are beyond our control and no refund policy will apply. This Cabin ~ The River Oak Cabin, sleeps two in new queen bed, with new bedding. The River Oak Cabin is an ideal romantic cabin for a trip to the Park. Features Smart TV, Wifi, kitchen, and walk in shower. Private sitting area with fire pit and bbq. If you want to eat out, there are popular restaurants within a mile, and the best bbq across the street! You may also eat out on your deck with your complete kitchen and outdoor bbq at your service. You have private screened areas with your own outdoor fire pit. This cabin is attached to the Twin Oaks cabin, both romantic cabins each with private outdoor fire pits, bbqs, and private outdoor seating. The River Oak is reserved for just two occupants.

Just a short walk up and across the road, you will enjoy the convenience of the Totem Market and Deli. Best BBQ tri tip, chicken and chili beans. Be sure to visit the Redwood wine tasting room and Craft Beer bar, located inside of the Totem, no Uber required. The walls are paneled from clear heart redwood from 1940's wine vats.

The staff at the Totem is friendly and willing to assist with anything you require. We serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

The River Oak cabin, is one of four cabins on the Three Rivers Cabins property of one acre, within two minutes driving distance to the Park.

This cabin is cozy and romantic with a complete kitchenette, beautifully appointed with everything you will need to prepare meals.

The Cabin:
The cabin has a delightful interior that blends rustic charm with modern day comfort. The open living space features comfortable seating and multiple windows that let in plenty of natural light while the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, and stainless-steel appliances. There is no need to overpack for a stay at Sequoia Moonlight Ridge as our cabin has a laundry room complete with a washer and dryer for your convenience.

Although the ranch shares a property line with Sequoia National Park, the gates are about a 15-minute drive away. While the views were amazing, and the cabin was quaint… the ride up was pretty challenging for we city folk. The cabin was not well stocked for the price…no sink in bathroom - brushing my teeth in the kitchen sink was a little too rustic for me. No towels in kitchen yet we were asked to wash and dry dishes we used so had to use bath towel. AC was minimal and our 2nd night I had trouble sleeping most of the night. My least favorite part was the fact that we lost power every morning and I had to get ready in the dark. Communication was challenging because we had no cell service when the power was out. Finally comma before were very stressful as we were traveling with no service and I was not provided the directions readily and we had to delay our departure for the cabin until we got the directions. THE RIVER
The Main Fork Kaweah River is beautiful all year round. Like all natural rivers, the Rivers has high seasons and low. In the spring and early summer, it is high and fast moving. As summer wanes, the river slows and lowers but never completely dies up. We are fortunate to have water year round so you will always enjoy the soothing sounds of the river. Children must be chaperone at all times, especially near the river. Please be cautious of current, especially during winter and early spring.

AROUND::
The Sequoias and surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains are some of the best that California has to offer. Centrally located, the house is about twenty minutes drive to the main entrance to Sequoia National Park station and both Slick Rock recreation areas and King’s Canyon National Park, and just a 10 minutes from Three Rivers town restaurants and shops. A nature lovers paradise, there are plenty of areas to hike, bike, fish, and swim; and during the summer months, world-class white-water rafting and kayaking. Lake Kaweah, surrounded by the golden hills of California’s lower Sierra Nevada mountains, is just five miles downstream and a hot spot for boating and fishing.

Sequoia National Park is open 7 days a week, see the Sherman Tree. You’ll love my ranch because of the views, the outdoors space, and it is so peaceful on the sand by the river. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Enjoy hiking, swimming, boating on a 380 acer ranch and along more than a mile of river or in several ponds, largest covering 1.5 acres. You can hike to a 60 foot high waterfall. Only 15 minutes from the Gate to world famous Sequoia National Park. The cabin has WiFi.

The exterior features a spacious porch equipped with chairs and a grill, ideal for evening barbecues while enjoying the sweet sound of nature and soaking in the tranquil views of the nearby private pond that you can fish and boating (Fishing poles are available for use during your stay upon request.)
Inside, the cabin presents a delightful open layout with a small kitchen full of pots, pans, and all the utensils needed. There’s a cozy king sized bed, and half bath (with toilet and sink) , enjoy a refreshing shower out in the open air, or underneath a starlit night sky, and wash the day off in complete privacy.
After a day of adventure exploring the park or our private ranch, enjoy the surreal surroundings of the scenic landscape, and /or relaxing inside.

All of the 380 acre Sequoia Rivers Ranch property for hiking and exploring. A full mile of Kaweah River frontage (fishing, swimming). Hiking trails though natural wilderness of a Blue Oak woodlands.

The road to this cabin is paved, but many of the roads on the ranch are unpaved (dirt).
Other things to note
Don't feed the animals, they are wild. But do enjoy the deer, fox, bob cat, duck, blue heron and may other birds. The ranch has 40 acres with cabins and 340 acres of natural open space.

No Pets. No TV, WiFi, or cell phone except AT&T. Cut the cord and have a real vacation.

Due to its gorgeous mountain location, Eagle Rock Nest provides a unique feeling of seclusion and tranquility, offering a magical escape from big city crowds and a fast-paced tempo.

However, this also means we have wildlife here, so make sure to keep all doors shut.

Also, BE ADVISED that the cellphone reception is somewhat weaker (or zero depending on your carrier) here than in the city. MAKE SURE TO PUT THE ADDRESS INTO YOUR GPS.

Heath, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out.

2. Add all guests to the reservation. Maximum Occupancy is 2 total individuals or 2 adults and 1 child/teen. Pets are allowed. ALL animals require a one-time pet fee.
3. No parties! No smoking of any kind inside the room. Removal of smoke detectors is illegal. If you choose to smoke outside, dispose of your butts appropriately. Absolutely no parties or large, loud gatherings. Loud music, excessive rowdiness, excessive drinking or smoking, etc. will result in a $1,000 party fine. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am.
4. Be respectful! When using outdoor areas (Pool, fire pit, yard games, etc.) please clean up after yourself so the next guest can enjoy it as well. If something is wrong, low, or out, please let us know so we can fix it. Never leave trash outside, it attracts birds, bears, and other animals that make a mess.

The Neighborhood:
The Sequoia Motel, completely renovated in 2023, is located in Three Rivers, CA about 5 minutes from the Sequoia National Park entrance. Three Rivers is a small, creative Sierra Nevada foothill village, with businesses and residences following the five forks of the Kaweah River. It is the gateway town for the Ash Mountain Main Entrance to Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Park, home of the largest living things on earth, the Giant Sequoia trees.

Getting Around:
We suggest using your own vehicle to get around. The Sequoia Shuttle runs during summer months with stops throughout the National Park. In the winter, make sure to carry snow chains and check road conditions.

We were a little disappointed that we were not able to check in at 4 as advertised...the room was not ready until after 4:30. There is also no potable water, which is mentioned in the listing, but we had forgotten. It would have been nice to be reminded about this important fact in the check-in text and email we received, so that we could have at least brought some water to make coffee in the morning. We also found it odd that we were required to strip the beds before we left - that was a first!"
