Tucked into the lower east side of Salt Creek Canyon sits this beautiful hand-crafted 580 square foot guest house on nine acres. Originally built by owner as a writing and painting studio in the late 1980s, it has an open floor plan with a wood beam ceiling and pine plank flooring. All wood furniture is made by owner. The screened in porch opens onto two wooden decks that over look a series of cascading ponds and Salt Creek farther below. A separate driveway from Salt Creek Road (also known as Craig Ranch Road) with carport provides parking and privacy.
Location makes it very easy to get to where you want to go, whether it is to the park, to town or to the end of south fork and lady bug trail. A half mile walk or bike ride further up Salt Creek Road gives you access to BLM (Bureau of Land Management—public lands) and Case Mountain for great hiking and mountain biking trails, as well as, Salt Creek waterfalls. (seasonally winter and spring) It is a park all unto itself.

The ‘Knoll’ is located on a secluded and quiet lane only 2 miles from the Sequoia Park entrance and it really is on a Shady Knoll :)
The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, pots, pans, dishes, spices, a blender, and a toaster, everything you would need to prepare meals in-house for those who love to cook. We also provide you with coffee and assorted teas, along with a few complimentary goodies. We provide plenty of local information and tips from your Host including where to go if you just prefer dining out! The bathrooms are always clean with plenty of fresh, clean towels. We also supply you with shampoo, conditioner, body wash.
The beds are all top of the line King size and include all new linens. These beds are comfortable! We also use hypoallergenic pillow and bed protectors for your safety and comfort.
The couches and the dining room table are comfortable as well. Yes, there is a large HD-tv and very good Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is good enough to stream movies 24/7 so we provide you with free Netflix!
There is a BBQ on the deck and the living room is situated to take in views of the (often) snow-peaked Sierra Mountains. The views from the front and back are some of the best in Three Rivers and each is completely different.
Relax on the huge back deck with a panoramic view of Moro Rock and Alta Peak! The small front deck looks over the whole town of Three Rivers. You will have a view of Eagles Peak and you can often hear the Kaweah River in the valley below.

Little Bear Cottage is a comfy home, built to house a small family, couples, or a small group. Our two-story getaway was constructed in 2019 and features the newest gadgets and kitchen amenities. It is a modern farmhouse styled home with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room, electric fireplace, laundry room, wrap around deck, and hot tub. The home sits on an elevated lot, allowing you to clearly view the breathtaking mountain scenery all around.
BEDROOMS:
The main floor bedroom contains a king bed with a gel cooling mattress,tv, dresser, and a large sliding door closet.
The master suite comprises the entire upstairs which features a king bed with a gel cooling mattress,walk-in closet, Smart tv, and cozy sitting area.

BATHROOMS:
The downstairs bath has a vanity, basin sink, walk-in shower with beautiful stone accents, and a secluded toilet.

Little Bear Cottage is perfect for outdoor activities. Enjoy a family barbecue on the large deck with our propane barbecue and shaded picnic table, watch the sun rise or set from the porch rocking chairs with a hot cup of coffee, or count the stars at night during a long soak in the outdoor hot tub.

Little Bear Cottage is a quiet, clean, and peaceful home. In order to keep it that way, we prefer the max number of guests be 4. No pets. However, we want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy our lovely home and you may contact the host to discuss other options. For each additional guest above the preferred 4, there will be a $25 fee, per night, as well as an extra cleaning fee of $20 for each additional person.

For your enjoyment, there are lounge chairs and a hammock on the bank of the river as well as an outdoor BBQ and fire pit. Relax as the sounds and sights of nature surround you. We also provide bicycles for your use.

Hiking, river rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding and boating are among the activities that are available close by. Many come to The River Jewel and just relax, nap, stargaze and enjoy nature.

Conveniently located off of Sierra Drive, ANNEX SUITE at the top of our six acre driveway and is connected to a stand alone garage. The luxurious interior of the 700 sq. ft. suite has 9 ft. high ceilings, granite countertops, stained concrete flooring, a huge wall mounted television, seating area , kitchenette, Cal King size bed and large glass enclosed shower with body sprays. The exterior has a private patio with a propane BBQ and a hammock for napping.

The Rose Retreat is located on a beautiful, private and quiet one acre mountain lot. Being located less than 1 mile to the gate of the famous Sequoia National Park makes us one of the closest properties available in Three Rivers! The space is a newly built (2022) custom property with two private modern Suites (Ash Mountain Suite and Red Mountain Suite).

The Ash Mountain Suite is very spacious (450 sq feet) with amazing mountain views! The Suite has a queen bed, private shower, toilet and dressing area as well as a dining table, electric fireplace and Roku TV. Also, the Suite has a kitchenette with a wet bar, mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, teapot, dishes and utensils. NOTE: We do not have an oven/stove. We provide complementary coffee, tea and a snack basket with oatmeal, popcorn, healthy snack packs, protein bars, chocolates & bottled water. A perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature with magnificent views of Ash Peak and Red Mountain. Also, our location is wonderful for bird watching during the day and stargazing at night. We have a propane BBQ grill with two picnic areas as well as a meadow to enjoy.

We are located in the quaint, artistic mountain town of Three Rivers. There are many restaurants, shops and activities to explore. The top rated Gateway Restaurant is a local favorite and located ¼ mile away. Breathtaking river views, delicious food, full bar and open 365 days a year serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, The Totem Market is less than 1 mile away. The Totem is a small market with casual food, deli, BBQ, beer, wine & supplies. Perfect location to pick up goodies for your picnic basket! Both The Gateway and The Totem Market rent chains if needed.

We offer our guests convenient and private self check in. You can check yourself in using the keypad. Your personal 4 digit keypad code will be sent to you 5 days prior to your check in date. Check in time is 3:00pm. The Suite is often ready earlier and we are happy to offer an early check in when available.

We have safe and secure parking available on the property. The Suite includes one designated parking space. We can accommodate a second car next door upon request. Please inquire if needed.

Wi-Fi and phone reception can be spotty in the Sequoia National Park area. We are thrilled to have Spectrum high speed internet on our property. Phone reception is excellent when you turn on “wi-fi calling” on your cell phone.

Our guests have access to all areas of the property. The Suite has an outdoor table & chairs on the patio plus we have two picnic areas with picnic tables and a propane BBQ grill available to use. We do not live on the property but live close by and are available if you need anything! We respect the privacy of our guests.

Three Rivers is a very unique, charming and creative Sierra Nevada foothill village located half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Three Rivers is the gateway town for the Ash Mountain Entrance to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park home of the largest living things on earth, the Giant Sequoia trees!

We are grateful to live in this lovely town and host an amazing, beautiful and unique property located less than 1 mile to the Park Entrance. Our property is an adult property with maximum guest capacity of two adult guests per Suite. We love to offer our guests a quiet, peaceful and nature induced experience. From the front porch you can listen to the Kaweah River flow by; a very relaxing sound. The room was well appointed, very clean and fresh. The bath towels were nicely textured and very absorbent. Water in the fridge and a basket of snacks and goodies greeted our arrival. The Wi-fi service was good and kept us connected. Certainly, enjoyed seeing the birds at the feeder along with the California Quail that scampered about the property. We'd recommend meals at the Gateway Restaurant just up the street. Portions were large and the food was good. We'd definitely stay here again on a return trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks."
