- "I was there for Xmas and New year, long stay. The rooms are very spacious and housekeeping is 10 out of 10 👍. The food...simply superb. Very balanced offering. From traditional Arab food, to all very well known European dishes. It is simply impossible not to find something for every taste and diet. Services provided from all the staff at the hotel are excellent. The only thing that needs to be looked (in my opinion) is the fact that everyone is constantly on the mobiles. They carry a plate in one hand and mobile phone in the other. Come on guys, leave the phone in your pocket when you serve your customers. Gym: Very clean and very well equipped WIFI: This deserves special mentioning... EXCELLENT. The cover in the hotel and the surrounding grounds is superb. Even on the beach you have WIFI cover. - "a great place for relaxing and good service" - "This is a small, low-rise luxury hotel with a private beach area. Rooms are large, well equipped and, I think, all have sea views. The hotel caters for adults only and has a relaxed feel with friendly and attentive staff. I stayed on an all inclusive basis and the standard of service and food was high. Hazem on reception was especially attentive to guests ensuring that all their needs were being met while at the hotel. I used the transfer service arranged by the hotel (from Hurghada) which at 35 Euro for a return journey, seemed good value. I chose the hotel because of the good reviews and because there is a kite station adjacent, although I ended up using Tornado surf's kite boat service (also excellent) in the end and didn't kite off the beach. I'd highly recommend this hotel based on my stay for one week in September 2017."

- "We booked the Royal Lily through Hotels.com rather than as part of a wider tour. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. I would strongly recommend travelling with Movenpick if you are visiting Egypt independently rather than as part of a tour. There are very few reviews for Movenpick Royal Lily so I'll try and give as much information as I can. Airport pick up We arranged a pick up via Movenpick, which meant we were on board and settled in by 10.30am. A bit pricey but worth it. Food and drink Reasonably priced drinks and a good selection. All meals and afternoon tea included daily. Excellent buffet selection. Staff Incredibly helpful and friendly. They helped us organise a trip to Abu Simbel on our last day, Guide There is a guide employed by Movenpick. Ours was Amr and he was excellent. Almost all other customers were on tours, so there was just us and two others with Amr. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Activities There is a good range of visits to sites, including to all the main sites. We had plenty of time to explore and it was all included in the cost. On board activities There was something different every night, with staff making a real effort to make the trip memorable. Facilities There are plenty of spaces on the boat to relax. The top deck is enormous with loads of beds around the pool. The pool was about 5 foot deep with a very shallow section at one end. I have seen comments that the decor is tired, but it was fine. "

- "We just came back from a 4 day stay at Seven Seasons at the end of May 2024. El Alamein is an hour away from Alexandria, which wasn’t something we hadn’t fully realised until we got there. Also, it was not peak season so many things were not fully operating, like the Aqua Park. The apartment we stayed in was far away from the nearest pool so we needed to be driven there. The apartment, although nicely done up with modern facilities, was a little dusty when we got there and essential amenities listed on the website were missing, like shampoo etc. However, Dr Hassan was very helpful, he arranged a local driver, Alaa to transport us to and from the pool, get groceries, explore local area and to other parts of the marina. We did a day trip to Alexandria, which was amazing and also spent 2 days by the pool and marina (jet ski and speed boating). Language was a bit of an issue so we had to use a translator app. Dr Hassan regularly checked in with us. In the end, we actually had a great time and would highly recommend, but probably in peak season. "
