- "I was there for Xmas and New year, long stay. The rooms are very spacious and housekeeping is 10 out of 10 👍. The food...simply superb. Very balanced offering. From traditional Arab food, to all very well known European dishes. It is simply impossible not to find something for every taste and diet. Services provided from all the staff at the hotel are excellent. The only thing that needs to be looked (in my opinion) is the fact that everyone is constantly on the mobiles. They carry a plate in one hand and mobile phone in the other. Come on guys, leave the phone in your pocket when you serve your customers. I used the transfer service arranged by the hotel (from Hurghada) which at 35 Euro for a return journey, seemed good value. I chose the hotel because of the good reviews and because there is a kite station adjacent, although I ended up using Tornado surf's kite boat service (also excellent) in the end and didn't kite off the beach. I would strongly recommend travelling with Movenpick if you are visiting Egypt independently rather than as part of a tour. Activities There is a good range of visits to sites, including to all the main sites. We had plenty of time to explore and it was all included in the cost. Also, it was not peak season so many things were not fully operating, like the Aqua Park. The apartment we stayed in was far away from the nearest pool so we needed to be driven there. The apartment, although nicely done up with modern facilities, was a little dusty when we got there and essential amenities listed on the website were missing, like shampoo etc. However, Dr Hassan was very helpful, he arranged a local driver, Alaa to transport us to and from the pool, get groceries, explore local area and to other parts of the marina. We did a day trip to Alexandria, which was amazing and also spent 2 days by the pool and marina (jet ski and speed boating). Language was a bit of an issue so we had to use a translator app. Dr Hassan regularly checked in with us. In the end, we actually had a great time and would highly recommend, but probably in peak season. "

Mohamed can also help with any tours you might like to go on whilst in Cairo, this makes it so much easier, the staff at the hotel also made sandwiches for me on one of my tours, they were delicious!
