The house has lots of light and big windows and spectacular views of the lake, and the animal life is abundant and active. It's very remote - you have a very private feeling here. There is an amazing movie/games room downstairs, but we never even used it as all time was spent outside. The owner was very quick to respond to questions or concerns. Everything was in working order, WiFI as well. A large freezer and fridge made it easy to bring food and drinks for a full week. We could not have wanted for more, it was a wonderful place for a real super, natural BC experience."

Our location has the view of Horse Lake (not waterfront, a 15 minute walk to a nearby boat launch) and is very close to nature trails. Perfect for viewing wildlife, biking, hiking, riding ATV and dirt bikes, boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, tubing, wake boarding,or just simply swimming on the lake in the summer time. In the winter time, you can plan for an experience of a snowmobile ride along cross country trails or ice fishing in the frozen lake. All these outdoor activities can be done in just a few distance from our property. And if you decide to do a little bit more, there is always something seriously fun here for everyone. If you are planning for your adventure, there is horseback riding, skiing, golfing, sightseeing tour, dining, parks, falls and wildlife, festivals and arts. There are countless ways to spend your holidays in the scenic and beautiful South Cariboo .

There is a pergola deck with outdoor furniture and propane fire pit table with cool night lights and fairy lights for entertaining guests. or at daytime, sit and relax and enjoy the view of the lake while you may be able to see lots of deer come in the yard. We do have a wood fire pit as well , you can use if there is no fire ban.

We have kayaks (2) that we can lend to you ( if we are not using them) to have fun in Horse lake and we can provide life vests (small, medium and large) . You need a truck/vehicle to haul them to the boat lunch which is just 2-3 minutes away.

Horse lake has 2 boat launches. One is by the Skadays Bridge where people mostly swim( also under the bridge) because this boat launch is not too busy in the summer compared to the other one. There is no beach or picnic area in both boat launches. But there is a place nearby where guests can rent more canoes, boats, kayaks, etc.

There is a strong cellphone signal in the area. Free Wifi.
Shopping and dining is just 7-10 minutes drive from our location. There are 3 Grocery stores and a lot of restaurants and food chains.

There is complimentary breakfast supplies. We do not serve cooked breakfast meal.

We have a very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Our location is one of the best in the area, we are located in "The Imperial Ranchettes" subdivision. The neighbours are warm and friendly people.

Guests can have access to all the amenities of the suite, making it a very comfortable stay for the guests. The basement suite has the ff amenities :
1. a full kitchen with dishwasher, oven with stove, fridge, coffee maker , utensils, microwave oven, toaster, etc.
2. dining area
3. living room area with couches, 55" TV
4. bathroom with toilet, separate shower and bath tub ( towel and toiletries provided)
5. some bedrooms have computer desk and chair. No AC but electric fans are provided. The suite does not get too hot as it is in the basement part of the house.

7. They can also enjoy the outdoors. We have spacious green lawn, where they can play outdoor games (horse shoe pit, badminton) or just sit and relax under the sun, lots of sitting area with picnic table and lawn chairs.

Our suite is located directly beneath the Felker Lake Trading Post which is our convenience store with grocery items, deli snacks, camping gear and souvenirs. Please make sure to have a look around upon check in - we ask that our guests check in here and we can then assist you in getting settled in the suite. The Trading Post operates until 9PM each evening so guests will hear footsteps and muffled voices as customers come in to make their purchase.

LAUNDRY ACCESS:
Laundry is available twice a week between 9 AM–7 PM for stays over 4 days. The laundry room is next to the suite and behind a locked door. Just message your hosts when you’d like to use it, and they will unlock the door for you. Since the laundry area is a SHARED space, we recommend not leaving your laundry or the suite unattended.

Guest access
The ground level floor of inside the home is exclusively yours, without interruption for the duration of your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home.

Access is through the back alleyway where you will find the parking leading up to the front door of the suite and all check-in instructions will be sent to you at the day of your check-in.

Other things to note
The health and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance to us. For this reason, we use a thorough and extensive process of cleaning after each check-out.

*Please note, you do have backyard access however this is a shared area where your host and their fur-baby may be present.

Only 8kms off the highway, on good roads, it seems you're a million miles away. Our place is a quiet, 200 acre ranch, in a natural paradise. Only private property on the lake.

Small town nearby for basics. 45min to 2 larger towns with all amenities. Completely private, waterfront with misc very friendly livestock on site. With only 2 cabins, 80m apart, enjoy your own little world. Or vacation with friends, host a wedding or family reunion! If renting both cabins, we allow RV's/tents with your party for a small fee.

The space
The cabin is on our working ranch but is very private, located right on the waterfront, out of eye sight of our home and 80m away from the only other cabin. We are the only private property on Helena Lake so it is an incredibly quiet, idyllic setting. There is excellent year-round rainbow trout fishing, hiking, canoeing and endless opportunities for wildlife viewing. In winter there is great ice fishing, cross country skiing & snowmobiling. Nearby Mt.Timothy is fun all year round with great skiing in winter and e-bike rentals and bike trail network in summer. 99 Mile X Country ski trails are great winter fun, rentals available at the lodge.

Your cabin has a king-sized bed and a small couch for relaxing. Lakefront deck with chairs and firepit area. The cabin is totally off-grid. There are solar lights inside and outside the cabin, sink with fresh water jug, cooler with ice provided and BBQ (propane included). USB charging available in cabin for small accessories. Relas in front of the woodstove (wood provided). Swim & dish towels, linens, dinner ware, cutlery, glasses, mugs, cast iron pan and bbq tools provided. Very clean, hand milled outhouse (dunny/drop toilet) with twinkly lights just steps from the cabin.

Fresh drinking water, flashlights, candles, wood for wood stove and bonfire provided. Lie in bed and look at the lake out the picture window from your king size bed. Coffee, tea, oil, hot chocolate & sugar complimentary.
Just a short walk from the cabin, We have a small, fully powered kitchenette for guest use with toaster, microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, kettle & basic cookware provided for guest use. There is laundry and a shower there too. Towels, shampoo, soap, hair dryer and laundry detergent provided.

Guest access
Guests have their own waterfront/beach area, fire pit with chairs and picnic table. Canoe, paddleboard, kayak, paddles and life jackets provided complimentary. Snowshoes provided in winter complimentary for trekking.

Reasonable cellular signal at cabin area. Wifi not available at the cabin, but complimentary up at main ranch area and guest kitchenette. Electrical outlets provided in kitchenette to charge devices.

We have cows, sheep, livestock dogs, rabbits, barn cats, chickens, ducks, peafowl and horses. Everyone is very, very friendly and enjoy guest attention. Guests are encouraged to walk around and interact with the animals, please close gates behind you and respect private family area near our home.

Other things to note
There are 6 large, very friendly livestock guardian dogs on the property roaming free 24/7 to protect free roaming livestock - so the cabin is not suitable for pets or children.

Farm fresh local foods often available for purchase in the kitchenette if interested.

If you are looking for new and modern swipe off....but if you want a spacious, functional, LAKEFRONT property on gorgeous, clear, fish filled Lac La Hache, you have found the right place. This RV was recently renovated (no new photos yet and photos in ridiculous order as it doesn't let me reorder them) is in a quiet park away from main roads with new facilities and great management. Fully furnished with amazing lake views from the abundant windows. Stove, oven, microwave, double sink, etc. One bedroom with pull out couch and option to place ONE tent outside. Outdoor firepit and seasonal dock. Games centre for kids and teens steps from the RV. Brand new bath house 1 minute walk. Parking for one car onsite; another down the way. Swim and fish all summer and ice fish, skate or ski in the winter....watch the deer and mouse, eagles, etc. Gourmet coffee shop, bakery, pizza and dinner in the small town of Lac La Hache a 5 minute drive. Good Cell service but we haven't hooked up wifi. Enjoy!

This rustic and cozy cabin is the ultimate glamping vacation and it is placed right next to Eagle Creek.

This cabin is perfect for 2 people, but can sleep up to 4. With one queen sized bed in the loft and a queen-sized futon in the sitting room. The loft is 9 feet up with a beautiful, sturdy ladder to enter safely. The interior wood of the extension has blue accents from the Blue Pine Beetle that came through this area years ago. This cabin has so much character and is just waiting for you to discover and make your own story.

In the center of the cabin sits a beautiful wood stove, so it will keep you warm on those chilly nights and great for cooking your meals. This cabin includes a toaster oven, induction burner, toaster, coffee machine, a large stainless steel sink, fridge/ freezer, dining area, living room with Bluetooth speaker. Outside of the cabin there are lounging chairs waiting for you, a picnic table, fire pit and barbecue.

Right across from your cabin is a brand-new cedar outhouse and just a couple minute walk from your cabin you will find a bathroom, with a shower, sink and toilet. The bathroom is available mid April to late October.

Ski in/Ski out at the Cariboo Chalet at Mount Timothy, where this beautiful log cabin, sleeps 4 people. This cozy warm space is tastefully decorated, complete with a 3-piece bathroom. The Chalet is pet friendly ,for an additional pet fee. The Chalet has a stocked kitchenette, including dishes and cutlery. There is a fridge, microwave, induction stove top, pots / pans, toaster oven, kettle, BBQ, coffee pot, dish clothes, towels and firepit provided .

We have 7 Beautiful ski in /ski out Chalets, for you to choose from (sleeping 4 up to 16 people ) at the base of our ski hill, with great views. Can you imagine chilling on the covered deck facing the ski slopes where you can enjoy a BBQ and beers, taking in the spacious views !

Our Ski Hill & Restaurant are currently closed

Our guests get to enjoy (depending on the season): hiking, snowshoeing trails, and cross-country ski trails that are not groomed. We have the best snowmobiling and ATV trails in the BC Central Interior. The Gold Rush Trail system has endless bike trails, truly connected with nature (currently, we do not offer a bike lift back up the ski hill).

RENTALS for E-Bikes, Zorb balls, and a bouncy castle are also available on site

We will accept advanced booking requests seasonally for float plane tours & ATV guided tours. Nothing beats seeing the Cariboo from a bird’s eye view, appreciating the natural beauty, wildlife, and nearby lakes that surround Mt Timothy.

We Rent; skis, snowboards, snowshoes, tubes for our Tube Park Fun, for the whole family. We have a lodge with a licensed restaurant, offering a fantastic menu and a full bar. The Lodge has a huge deck and great mountain view.

Stay and play at Mt. Timothy and enjoy 3 beautiful, quiet lakes within 20 minutes, perfect for fishing, ski boats, and swimming.

Hunting packages are available for fall bookings, ideal for avid outdoorsmen. Our log cabins are warm and comfortable, with kitchenettes, bathrooms, and BBQs. The cabins are perfectly located in a good hunting area, allowing you to depart on day hunts by truck or quad. Ask us about our to-go lunches.

If you’re looking for the Cowboy Cariboo experience, we can hook you up with horseback trail rides nearby, providing a tour guide and horses for a unique backcountry experience.

Ski in/Ski out at the Ricochet Chalet at Mount Timothy, where this beautiful log cabin, sleeps 7 people. This cozy warm space is tastefully decorated, complete with a 3-piece bathroom. The Chalet is pet friendly ,for an additional pet fee. The Chalet has a stocked kitchenette, including dishes and cutlery. There is a fridge, microwave, induction stove top, pots / pans, toaster oven, kettle, BBQ, coffee pot, dish clothes, towels and firepit provided .

We have 7 Beautiful ski in /ski out Chalets ,for you to choose from (sleeping 4 up to 16 people ) at the base of our ski hill, with great views. Can you imagine chilling on the covered deck facing the ski slopes where you can enjoy a BBQ and beers, taking in the spacious views !

Our guests get to enjoy (depending on the season): hiking, snowshoeing trails, and cross-country ski trails that are not groomed. We have the best snowmobiling and ATV trails in the BC Central Interior. The Gold Rush Trail system has endless mountain bike trails, truly connected with nature (currently, we do not offer a bike lift up the ski hill).


RENTALS for E-Bikes, Zorb balls, and a bouncy castle are also available on site

Upon arrival, guests will be granted exclusive access to the main house, situated directly in front of Lac La Hache Lake. Additionally, they will have access to their own private parkway, providing ample space for easy access to the boat launch. The BBQ and hot tub are conveniently located on the patio, and guests are cordially invited to enjoy them.
Your personalized door code will be dispatched on the day of your arrival.

The carriage house, situated behind the main property, is occupied by a caretaker. Consequently, guests are kindly requested to refrain from accessing their driveway. Guests are more than welcome to utilize the parking situated with the main home.
