This unit as at the back, so less noise but little view of the lake. We thought this might be more quiet being a block from the beach/ main st. with more people and cars. Large patio with table and seating. Smaller patio off bedroom. Also, on the 5th floor are BBQs and pool table and foosball. Nice touch. The not so nice. Cabinets and some furniture tired. Units can be noisy, as wood floors and people not taking shoes off is annoying. During our 1st night there were some girls staying in 201 and guys above us. They were yelling and running up and down until almost 11. My wife finally told them to take it down a notch. Also, they wanted money to park. First email said X for indoor. Then I got the online form and it said 3.5 times as much. I don't pay that in Vancouver. Also, said a lot per day for a pet! Sorry, won't let me put prices. Front door of the building says,"No Pets". Good news was midweek, not many people in the building, so much quieter. You can park on the street but st. gets busy on weekends. Other building we considered had free indoor parking with EV chargers. "

It is advertised as lake view but we looked out at the neighbouring trailer park. They never sent checkin information. You have to call an information phone number to get access codes, which is an extra hassle you don’t want when traveling. Kitchen is poorly stocked with old, broken and falling apart Dollar Store kitchen utensils, knives and supplies. It was hard to cook anything. Frying pans were so old with the Teflon flaking off, it was unusable. There was barely enough plates and cutlery for six people to eat. Garburator was broken and food from the previous visitors was still in the sink. Listing says pet friendly, which is great, but there are signs everywhere in the building saying no pets allowed. If you text the information number, they will send people to help. They were very friendly and did their best to help solve issues but it’s super annoying to have to call/text for basic items that should be stocked in a standard kitchen. Check in is late and check out is early, which takes away from the value and convenience of the booking. Listings says free parking but that’s only if you park on the street. If you want to park in the property’s garage, you have to pay an additional charge per night per car. "

My one negative is the cleanliness… the host sent lengthy messages 3 times about the need to be out exactly at 10am (10:15 would incur a fee and 11 an extra night) because they cleaning that needed to be done and they needed every second to complete it. There was litter under the beds, toothpaste smudges in the bathroom, some of the dishes were dirty and there was an odor in the apartment. Definitely needs more attention to the cleaning although overall it was a good space. "

However, sitting down on the furniture or at the kitchen table, the view was of trees and mountains. The back balcony has a nice view of the mountain and glacier. Some of the cookware is old and needs to be replaced. Limited cooking utensils as well. Cleaning staff are excellent and very polite. Especially Eric and Yves. - "Our family (5 adults, 2 kids) found Wendy & Gord to be gracious hosts. The home is so well appointed that getting into vacation mode was seamless. We really appreciated activities they provided for the kids inside & out. Kids spent hours on the trampoline & the swings, enjoyed playing with the toys & their friendly dogs. We loved the propane fire pit (wood pit closed for prov. fire ban), so we were still able to have our hot dog & marshmallow roast for great memories (had our own forks, didn't look for any there). The kitchen is well-supplied/labelled & hosts were always speedy with specific directions for finding things if asked. They have great knives (important!) and a great coffee/tea setup. The beds were very comfortable (trundle's mattress better for kids than adults, but expected in the kids' room). Smart TVs w/lots of choice (some need your streaming PWs) took us a bit to learn because lots of other stuff to do instead. Peaceful location: very quiet inside, some outside (RARE logging/construction traffic nearby, neighbour w/generator in occasional use), but NO major road noise. Our only suggestion for (working) travellers is to be aware there's (currently) no desk/working space except the dining/kitchen. A small laptop table in a bedroom would be a great option for those on call (one of us--didn't happen though). But if you are stuck working online, the wifi is strong, we had no issues with cell reception, and power points are convenient. Fantastic getaway home!"

Easy to get in and out of. Has everything you need for your stay. A/C in the bedroom but with fans keep the whole place cool even in +30 temps. Full size fridge and stove in the compact kitchen. Bathroom is outdated but very functional although cozy. Spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed as well as a spacious living area. Couple nice chairs on the walkway to catch the lake views while sipping g your morning coffee or evening beverage. Parking included which is mostly shaded from the hot afternoon sun. Would totally stay here again. Totally worth it. Comparable in price if not cheaper than most of the hotels. Responsive hosts. Nice clean little unit."

Breakfast charge is $25/1 person or $40/2 people, per day. Let me know by 8PM the day before check in, so that I can confirm the menu and your order, plus send you the fee request. Note: If I won't be home to cook a hot meal for you, I can prepare a to-go breakfast package for you in your fridge for $15/1 person or $20/2 people, per day :)
