Clean, clear, perfect refreshing temps. The lake bottom isn’t nice, it’s rocky and mushy - so it’s best for kids that will wear life jackets or can swim in water over their heads. Jumping off the dock was so much fun and they have beautiful and safe stairs for getting in and out. 2 paddle boards! 4 kayaks! So much to explore! Julie and Gio are charming and friendly hosts who really respected our privacy and were always on call for anything we needed."

We had a gorgeous view of the ocean and took lots of sunrise and sunset pictures. It was an easy drive for day trips to Coombs, Qualicum, Rathtrevor Beach, and Parksville. Taaja was a gracious and knowledgeable host giving us lots of tips on places to visit. Although we knew there would be stairs up to our unit, it was a long flight of stairs to carry up our luggage. Joanne's is a cozy lakefront cottage situated on farmland, this newly renovated cottage is a perfect getaway for couples and families looking to relax and explore South Vancouver Island. Joannes on the lake is located on a quiet, trafficless road surrounded by lots of farmland and situated directly on Quennell Lake. It is only 15 minutes from Duke Point ferry terminal, 25 minutes from Departure Bay ferry terminal and 15 minutes from YCD. Grocery stores and restaurants and bars are 10 minutes away.
Joanne's has been newly updated and features a beautiful deck for morning coffees and outside barbecue dinners. Joanne's can sleep 4-6 people comfortably, with two bedrooms with queen beds, and a pull-out couch in the sitting area. It is a bright and open floorplan with a fully functional kitchen, dishwasher, wash and dryer. There is air conditioning, in-ceiling speakers, and 75-inch television.
During your stay, take advantage of the lake life and enjoy the private dock. Quennell Lake is widely known for its bass fishing and is active in the spring and summer. We encourage you to bring and use your own lake activities to enjoy on the lake. Car-top boats can be launched from the boat launch which is only minutes away. At night, enjoy the evening with a fire in the custom-made fire pit.

We have a great place on Sproat Lake, Vancouver Island. We book (by the week) Sunday to Sunday. Check in is 4:00 p.m. and check out is 12:00 p.m.
Our place is on Taylor Arm Drive of Sproat Lake (if you have ever been to Tofino, Long Beach you see this arm from the highway). It is a beautiful lake, clear and clean. Spectacular scenery.
I live on the property and am always here. I have 6 grand babies and they do spend lots of time with me during the summer. You share the dock with me and my family.
The suite you will rent is on the upper floor. It has two bedrooms each has a queen size bed and a set of single bunks. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave etc. There is WIFI . The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Bath towels and linens can be supplied but you must wash and dry on your way out. I have a laundry room with 2 washers & dryers available for your use. Bring your own beach towels. There is a propane bbq available (on the ground level) for your use. At the water there is a large dock with sunken stairs, shade structure, chairs for your use (you share the dock with me & my family). There is a firepit ( down at the lake) which can be used if there is not a FIRE BAN. If you bring a boat there is space to dock it (just let me know ahead of time).
The cost is $2300.00 Canadian/week based on a family of 4 with a charge of $25/each additional person/night.
And a cleaning fee of $120. Your dog is welcome but there is a $20/night/dog fee .

The dock was great with room for our boat and for swimming and relaxing. The hosts were wonderful and our dog enjoyed her stay as well." - "We really enjoyed our stay here. The suite had an absolutely stunning lakefront view! The suite was clean and well-equipped. We had everything we needed. The hosts even supplied everything our dog could want, including dog bowls, dog treats, a ball and poop bags. So nice that it was so dog friendly! The hosts were friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and the hosts kindly made their watersports equipment and toys available to us. Our 3-year-old had a great time! The only thing to note is that the suite is very much part of the family house. It is the downstairs suite under the main house, and the patio is right below the family's main patio. We did not mind (aside from occasionally smelling smoke from one of the visiting family members) but for those looking for privacy or to be well away from the hosts, this may not work for them."

This private home is located in the Maples complex and is the only stand alone unit with a private patio. With 2 beds, a full kitchen, and living room it comfortably accommodates up to 4 people. Whether you're a family, a couple, or some friends who want to stay on the lakefront, this is the Spot for you!

Our Sproat Lake home is nestled on almost an acre of semi-wooded lakefront. The living room and front yard have spectacular views of Mount Klitsa and the lake . Cozy wood burning fireplace inside, fire pit at the lake and a small portable gas fire pit for when the fire ban is on.
There are two bedrooms (1 King & 1 Queen) .
There is over 120 feet of waterfront, a concrete lake front patio, and dock for your boat. Lots of outdoor furniture at the beach and on the lawn, an 8FT row boat, beach noodles and toys. PowerBoats /Tubes can also be rented from the the Fish and Duck pub just a few minutes away . Tennis courts/playground and municipal/Provincial parks are within 10 minute drive.

We offer a 1bedroom cabin with a comfortable pullout couch. Come and enjoy the lake! We provide paddle boards and kayaks included in your stay as well as a boat slip at the dock. Nice outdoor patio area with bbq and Wifi.

" - "My friend and I stayed at this beautiful new cabin. The location is lovely, but I didn't know that it was not lakefront, but the third cabin up from the lake. Jennifer, the host, was extremely helpful, welcoming and personable. We loved her style and approach and hospitality. Very high quality materials were used to build this cabin recently and we appreciated that very much. It was early August when we stayed, so during the day it was super hot (in the 30s), but at night, it cooled off beautifully. There is a fan over the one queen size bed and a stand up fan for the pull out couch bed. Access to the lake was steep but we managed with hiking shoes and walking poles (I am 60 and my friend is 74). The lake is gorgeous and there is an option to use paddle boards and kayaks. It's definitely a lovely stay here but because we are heat intolerant postmenopausal ladies, we would look for an air conditioned cabin next time. "

Conveniently located, the property is 15 minutes from Nanaimo Airport and 20 minutes from Nanaimo ferry terminals by car. Adventurous souls arriving by boat can make use of mooring buoys and the private dock.
On the ground floor, you will find step free entry, the kitchen, dining room, living room, full bathroom and bedroom with two twin beds.
The upper level contains a large bedroom with a king bed, full bathroom, and balcony with ocean views. This level also has it's own private outdoor entrance.
The sofa in the living room converts to a queen bed to accommodate two more guests. Sleep soundly with blackout curtains in every room.
Dinner will be a breeze in the fully equipped kitchen with dining tables for 6 on the main floor and patio.

It was perfect for us and our hosts, Emma and Connor, were exceptionally responsive and thoughtful during our preparation phase through our entire stay. We have stayed at the Inn of the Sea in the past and are enamored with the view, ambiance, and the hot tub over the ocean (the pool is wonderful in the summer!). This is a beautiful 2 bedroom penthouse apartment located at the Inn of the Sea on beautiful Vancouver Island.
Guests love the breathtaking views of the ocean from every window. The decor is modern yet comfortable, with nothing being overlooked. High end finishes, furniture and bedding - you will feel spoiled as you lounge in style.
Overlooking both the ocean and giving you glimpses of the ocean front pool and hot tub - all windows offer views. Your breath will be taken away at every turn.
The resort is located in picturesque Yellowpoint - found by driving along the winding road that takes you past farmlands, local artisans, lakes and best of all - the ocean. Just a 10 minute drive to the famous "Crow and Gate" pub, and 2 minute walk to Blue Heron Park (guests can access this park by beach if the tide is out!)
The Resort is nestled amoung trees and perched beachfront on the Salish Sea. We offer an ocean front heated pool in the summer, an ocean front hot tub open year round, a 100' dock for boats up to 30' feet (seasonal), a tennis court, a beach fire pit, children's playground and a coin operated laundromat on the property.
Guests who stay at the Inn of the Sea call it a "hidden gem" and when you stay here, at the Penthouse, you will be the envy of the Resort!

They added a lot of small touches to make our stay more comfortable. I loved the battery operated candles and the blankets on the balcony. The candles were perfect for our anniversary dinner and the blanket came in handy for morning coffee on the balcony. The owner sent great recommendations for nearby trails and restaurants which were appreciated. We would definitely stay again."

Check-in/Check-out Times
Check-in not before 3pm unless other arrangements have been made and approved with the Host. Check-out is no later than 12 noon unless other arrangements have been made and approved with the Host. It is important to respect these times to avoid any inconvenience.
Parking, and Common area
Please use the designated parking assigned to the unit you have rented, and any overflow parking must be in visitors area and not impede other guests. Common area is shared and for the safest possible way of presentation to all guests please respect it and other guests.
Guests
Only the individuals listed on the reservation are allowed to stay at the Airbnb property. Hosts may charge an additional fee for additional guests.
Pets
We currently have one pet friendly cabin, arrangements need to be made prior to booking to allow for pets. If you are staying in our pet friendly cabin your pet needs to always be on a leash while on the property. Please clean up after your pets. If you are going to be gone for the day your animal must be accompanied with you, we ask that you do not leave them behind.
Kitchen
We have tried to provide everything you may need. There are some basic day to day condiments and the local convenience store, Beaver Creek Market, is located just down the road about 3 minutes away. Please do not remove any kitchen items from the cabin.
Furnishings and appliances
Please only use appliances as they are intended to be used, and please do not move or re-arrange the layout of the furnishings.
No smoking
There will be a strict no-smoking policy, on the property. This includes cigarettes, vaping and marijuana. and guests are expected to abide by this rule. If you are found to be breaking this rule you will forfeit your entire damage deposit.
Cleanliness
All Airbnb guests are expected to keep the space clean and tidy during their stay. This includes cleaning up after themselves, disposing of trash properly, and leaving the space in the same condition as when they arrived. Please do not leave food items in fridge.
Water
Beaver Creek water improvement is city supplied water with its own pumphouse and filtration system which makes the water safe for drinking.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
There are extra pillows and blankets above the fridge for the hide abed, which has all sheets currently on the pull-out mattress. Mirrors have lights, and also defogging heater, please do not leave on when not in use.
Sewage waste management system (SEPTIC)
We are on a septic system which is designed for standard home waste and things such as eg. Oils, baby wipes, condoms and feminine hygiene products can cause severe damage to the system. PLEASE do not flush anything down the toilets other than toilet paper.
Lights, and Heat pumps
Please turn off all lights, gas, when not in use, and do not adjust the heat pump units more than 1 to 2 degrees at a time as they are very efficient and the smallest adjustment will be notice within 20 -30 mins, and please reframe from leaving doors windows open.
Noise
It is important to be respectful of neighbors and keep noise levels to a minimum, especially during nighttime hours.
Damages
Guests are responsible for any damages they cause to the property during their stay and may be charged for repairs or replacements.
Illegal activities
Airbnb guests are not allowed to engage in any illegal activities on the property, also no recording of any promotional video or content without consent from the Host.
Laundry
Laundry is in a separate building and with limited access, all arrangements for laundry must be made with host. Please note there will be a fee associated with the use of the laundry house.

The suite is very large, recently refurbished, has its own access with own kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining area and laundry facilities.
The suite is located in a quiet road just 750m from Departure Bay beach front. The suite backs on to the Nanaimo golf course, which is open all year round. It is less than a 10 minutes drive from the Departure Bay Ferry terminal and just a few minutes from local shops, take away restaurants and supermarkets.
The space
The suite is separate from but below part of the main house that is owned and occupied by a quiet young family therefore the suite would not be suitable for late night party goers. You will hear every day living above you occasionally, but for the most part we are out of the house or in different areas of the house that are not above the suite.

The suite is self contained and therefore has a bedroom, living room/dining area and kitchen. The kitchen has plates, cutlery, cups , glasses, pots and pans, toaster, etc as well as coffee making facilities.There are laundry facilities in the bathroom.
There is a separate entrance to the suite around the back of the house and down the set of stairs.
Guests can park on the grassy area at the bottom of the driveway.

The property backs on to the golf course so would be perfect for any budding golfers.

The guest area is completely self contained. With three large windows this small but beautiful space is a perfect short term rental, with a wet bar (sink, mini fridge, microwave, coffee and tea), private bathroom, and separate entrance. An amazing location two minutes walk to beautiful Departure Bay beach, five minute drive to the ferry and one minute walk to the bus stop.
The space
The guest area is newly renovated and tastefully decorated. On rainy days its perfect to cozy up in front of the fire place and watch a little TV, and if the sun is shining make yourself a pot of coffee and head out to enjoy the beautiful area.

We put a little coffee/ wine bistro table outside of the guest area with the hope that our guests will enjoy our lush green landscaping as much as we do. Washer and dryer is available upon request.
Other things to note
The guest area is below our main living area so you will definitely hear us (mostly our kids playing) and see us around the property.
Being the basement on Vancouver Island we do get some scary looking spiders turn up. We do our best to keep them away but unfortunately there is not much we can do. This does not reflect the cleanliness of the space, it is simply a matter of life out here. Thankfully if you see one it will be around entrance only.
My husband and I both work we try to be as accessible as possible but with jobs and kids sometimes it takes us a little bit to respond.
We try our hardest to accommodate early check in's or late check out's but sometimes it is just not possible especially in high season. If you do request this we ask for upon booking advanced notice.
We also have a Aussie Shepherd dog.

The space is newly renovated with a cottage-meets-modern feel. While we call it cozy, there is one header in the space that might be a bit low for those over 6 feet tall.
There is a long private driveway that can accommodate boat parking if necessary.

The bed in the bedroom is a queen bed and there is a double-sized futon in the living room for guests use as well.
