Very private, pet and kid-friendly fenced yard, back deck and gardens, with lots of room for you to bring an extra vehicle or boat. Only 50 yards/m to the waters edge from the front yard, and a short 2 min. walk to the public beach access down the street. Perfect setup for surfers - enjoy the surf nearby and rinse off in the gorgeous outdoor hot shower after your session!

Please note the house does not have air conditioning, so during the summer months we rely on open windows and ocean breezes + fans to keep the temperature comfortable at night.

Other things to note

The beds in our Cottage are a Queen size in the bedroom and Sofa-bed in the living room is also a Queen sized, as well, with a new memory foam mattress. There is a propane fire pit on the deck, as well as a covered barbecue area.

We just installed a gas heater indoors, as well as a new gas stove, for those days when the power goes out, so you will be warm, cozy and can at least cook.

There is a General Store down the road, but you will want to do your grocery shopping beforehand. They have basic necessities, lots of snack food, and a small liquor selection. If you forget something basic, they probably have it!

There will be a $300 Security Deposit PreAuthorized on your credit card, prior to your Check-in.

- "This was very remarkable stay starting with the welcoming hosts. The unit is remarkably appointed throughout with an outdoor area for relaxation and wildlife viewing. The hosts were available when assistance was needed. Most of all were the unexpected gifts and very much appreciated. Our limited conversations only raised more questions. Mother nature has created some unique changes. George and Helga" - "The Whale's Tail in Port Renfrew was an ideal location for exploring the coastline beaches. We loved the beautiful view of the cove from the patio and the private beach just down the steps from the yard. The unit was immaculate and tidy, with all the kitchen items we needed. The very nice bathroom had plenty of hot water, good water pressure and soft, fluffy towels. Nothing was lacking in the unit. The hostess was extremely friendly, considerate and responsive when we asked for a suggestion about the area. She anticipated every possible need. We could not have asked for a better location, rental, view or experience! Thank you!"
