It has the prettiest view imaginable but suffers from a lack of TLC. Weeds now overgrow the garden. Bushes have dead branches hanging off. The sitting areas are covered in debris from the trees and haven’t been cleaned to be ready for guests. The bathtub had hair in it, shower exterior appeared to be damaged or moldy, and shampoo dispenser has such old shampoo the ingredients are starting to separate. I came here 20 years ago with my parents and sister and returned with my husband and children, after sharing my memories of it. It’s no longer a B and B and more’s the pity as there is no nearby food option or kitchen in the room (though the owner has been kind to supply a couple of bowls, plates, glasses, and cutlery and you have a small fridge and microwave in the downstairs suite). Though my husband called in advance of our booking to ensure kids were okay on property, the owner seemed surprised about it when we arrived. That was uncomfortable. And there’s only a very small, hard futon for kids to use. (Ouch!) There are also no double kayaks, which had been a huge draw in going there as the water is incredible (giant starfish, seals, and sea cucumbers!) So you have to go down the road and rent them at an added cost. If you’re downstairs, the main issue is that it’s very hard to sleep as you hear everything happening upstairs. No question- it was once a jewel and could be again, but needs some attention to nearly every aspect. "

Welcome to our Coastal Retreat located on the beautiful Sechelt Peninsula. We are a 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay and a 20 minute drive once your have landed in Langdale.
Our guest house, built in 2017 is a couples perfect get away. It is located among majestic cedar and fir trees, with a peek a boo view of the ocean. You only have to walk down our driveway to be at one of the most secluded natural beach area on the coast.
The guest house, although only 545 sq ft has 12 foot ceilings, with a wall of windows that make it very bright and spacious. All the floors are radiant heated with separate zones in each room. The kitchen is equipped with new Bosch appliances, including a dishwasher and natural gas stove, micro wave and fridge. There is also a clothes washer and dryer for your convenience. All counter tops are quartz stone, with the island having a seating area for meals.There is a leather sectional couch and a 42" TV perfect to curl up and watch cable,or Netflixs. Wifi is included.
The bedroom has a queen size bed with elegant bedding and a large dresser for your clothes, and there is plenty of closet space. The bathroom has a glass and tile shower. There is built in Bluetooth in the bathroom exhaust fan so you can listen to tunes while you shower.
A 17 by 12 deck is located at the front of the guest house and has a Weber bbq and a natural gas fire pit. See if you can spot the bear as you enjoy the deck.

The property is on high bank with good quality, lighted steps down to the beach. There is a large deck on the beach where you can sit and watch the ocean life. Dolphins, whales, seals, sea lions, eagles and numerous different sea birds have been sighted over the past year.

Our beautifully maintained 2 bedroom garden suite has a private entrance off a covered patio, gas fireplace, hardwood flooring throughout, under-floor heating in the tiled bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, full sized appliances, and a washer and drier. Sitting room, kitchen and bedrooms look out onto the garden and ocean.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed and it’s own exit onto the patio. The second bedroom has a queen bed.

There is a gas barbeque on the deck and a variety of seating areas where you can enjoy the garden and the view. The gazebo-covered hot tub is steps from the suite with stunning views over the water.

We are thirty minutes from the ferry and three minutes to the shops, restaurants and galleries in Sechelt.

Our property is on Davis Bay, one of the most coveted neighbourhoods on the Sunshine Coast. Davis Bay is a world class destination for paddle boarding and ocean kayaking, as well as a hot spot for whale watching. It’s also famous for it’s esplanade beach pathway, with some of the most beautiful sunsets BC has to offer. The beach itself is fantastic. It has beautiful sandy expanses (as well as rocky shores), which makes it a rarity on the Sunshine Coast. Our central location on the water, with nearby parks and public beaches, make this location a perfect spot for a romantic summer getaway.

The entire suite has just been renovated to a luxury standard, and with extreme attention to detail. It has two big bedrooms, each with a brand new, high-end, king and Queen size beds, complete with high-thread count, luxury sheets and linens. Each bedroom has been expertly decorated to give each it’s own unique character. Each bedroom also has it's own exterior door, creating an extremely private setting for a romantic couples getaway.

The master bedroom is huge, with it’s own exterior entrance for maximum privacy. This elegant and fashionable room has been decorated with carefully curated vintage furniture and accessories. This bedroom faces the ocean, so incredible sunset views can be enjoyed from the cozy privacy of your room. It has a gorgeous new en-suite bathroom with a free-standing claw-foot bathtub and fluffy, high end towels. Even the bathroom windows in this en-suite are works of art. They are reclaimed and re-purposed stained glass panels, and are absolutely stunning.

The secondary master bedroom has been carefully decorated to evoke a feeling of nature, with it’s own exterior door leading to a private patio in the backyard. It has it’s own four piece bathroom at the end of a private hallway, and towels and linens in this room are also of the highest quality.

The main living space features a private sun room looking out onto the beach and beautiful Davis Bay. Enjoy your morning coffee with a little whale watching right from inside your suite.

The spacious kitchen is fully loaded, with seating at the island/bar counter. It has all of the appliances and conveniences you could ever need (and too many to list), including a K-cup coffee maker with complimentary coffee. Rest assured, in this kitchen, you will be provided with all items you could ever want or need. So if you want to cook or entertain, we’ve got you covered. It’s ideal for longer stays, with all the comforts of your kitchen at home.

At the end of a long day of coastal exploring, rest and relax in the cozy, comfy living room with a gas fireplace and a smart tv.

The private backyard has a generous seating area, and lighting in the trees and around the deck. Many beautiful species of bird live on the Sunshine Coast, and eagles and sea birds are often seen around the property.

Most beaches here and nearby are rocky but with some water shoes it was swimmable. Water temp was super warm early August. There is a sandy beach about 5 mins away. You have your own private sitting area outside your suite. Even with other guest suites onsite, we didn't hear anything nor see anyone. Would highly recommend for a couple looking for any kind of getaway. Would also stay here again if we make it back to the beautiful sunshine coast."

The ocean is right there and being able to just walk or read on the beach was really all we wanted to do. A drive up to the skookumchuck and a walk into the rapids with a coffee at the Skookumchuck Cafe as a reward is a great way to spend the day or head up to the Daniel Point for a short 45 miniute hike for a beautiful view of Garden Bay.

The space
Easy access to the sunshine coast highway makes for a very central location. Enjoy this beautiful cabin, designed for comfort, and only a few steps from Davis Bay and Sechelt, BC. Whether you need an escape from the city, you're on a business trip, or you're coming to explore the rugged coastlines and quaint towns of the Sunshine Coast, this space offers everything you need to relax and enjoy your time away.

A lower level of house, the suite has been designed for your comfort. It is an open concept bachelor pad with everything you need to enjoy your time away. There is a walk-in closet off the bedroom and 4 piece bathroom with adjoung laundry. On rainy days, you can relax on the sleeper couch and browse the 'Apple TV'-equipped 55" television. There is one queen-size bed, and a pullout couch. Guests also have access to large foldable mats for sleeping and extra linens. The open-concept dining area features a solid maple slab table, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Davis bay beach is no more than a three minute walk. Enjoy sunsets on the beach, or a day in the sun sitting next to the 'salmon-bearing' Chapman Creek estuary.

-The spa is in the backyard. A large fir-framed pergola covers an outdoor 6-person hot tub. There is a lounge area and heated outdoor shower under cover as well. Off the spacious deck beneath the pergola, you’ll find out newly built dry sauna and cold plunge cedar tub.

-The full spa circuit is an ideal way to spend an entire morning or afternoon relaxing in a rhythm of hot and cold/ wet and dry, therapy. Good for the body, heart and soul.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to the upper level suite and outdoor space. Please avoid the car shed and green tent at the back of the property, as these are just utility spaces. Guests should also stay off the main driveway as this is my neighbor’s property with a driveway easement.

Guests can help themselves to consumables such as available laundry pods, dishwashing pods, miscellaneous soaps, available condiments etc.

There are green towels available for outside use in the spa area, while the white towels in the bathrooms should be left in the house.

Please only use the black metal cups outside. Glass should not be use in the spa area.

Please check fire restrictions. Provided there are none, guest can find kindling, cardboard and wood for burning in the firepit.

During your stay no outside guests are allowed on the property beyond those in included in the booking guest number. The property is only to be accessed by the renting parties. The spa is limited to 6 guests at any time. This is to ensure spa cleanliness and to control for noise. If these rules are broken Airbnb is authorized to charge the renting guest $75/visitor/day in addition to the number of guests on the rental agreement.

The property is not isolated, and loud groups disrupt the neighborhood. It is very important that guests avoid disrupting the local community by limiting noise outside of the house, and around the spa and limiting activity on the shared driveway.

Please park on the concrete pad beside the house, one car per group is the maximum. Extra cars must be left offsite.

Other things to note
This retreat is a centrally located along the Sunshine Coast highway. There are 2 coffee shops, a liquor store, a grocery store, 2 delightful restaurants, a river walk, a playground, and an exceptional beach within 3 minutes of the property. The house is quaint, comfortable, and well-designed for families or small groups looking for a place to rest in between days exploring the Sunshine Coast and relaxing in the Scandinavian Spa built for our climate.

500 meters East of the property is a Canadian Tire, IGA, Strait Coffee, Liquor Store, Pharmacy, Pizzeria and Dispensary. 800 meters North is Pier 17 coffee and diner, the Wobbly Canoe restaurant, and the Porch restaurant

You'll find a denser concentration of marketplaces restaurants and other amenities in Sechelt, about 8 minutes by car West down the road.

Our licensed ocean view suite (built in 2022) is centrally located on the Sunshine Coast in West Sechelt. It’s a 5 min drive (20 min walk) into town with the bus stop 2 mins from the front door. Kick back and relax on the spacious patio where you can enjoy our gas fire bowl, Weber BBQ and backyard after a day of exploring. Our private one bedroom suite comes with a queen size bed, queen size pull out couch, smart 50” tv, high speed fibre optic internet and air conditioning.

The space
This open concept private suite is approximately 650 sq ft with 1 bedroom and 1 full bath with a walk in shower. The spacious bedroom is located at the front of the house. It has black out shades, dresser and a closet. The kitchenette contains a 12 cu ft fridge/freezer, 8 in 1 Ninja air fryer, Keurig coffee machine and pots, pans, bowls, plates, cups, cutlery, utensils. There is a dining table that seats 4 comfortably. In the living room, we have a queen sized pull out couch that has a memory foam mattress. There is also a 50” Smart TV with streaming apps such as Netflix, Prime. You will need to use your User ID and password. Note that there is no cable. Outside is a private patio with a round dining table that seats 4, 2 Adirondack chairs, gas fire bowl and a Weber gas BBQ. You also have access to a shared backyard.

Even though Sechelt is small, there are some fantastic restaurants and breweries in the neighborhood. Lucky’s BBQ house always cooks up some fantastic ribs, and Golden City offers the most authentic Chinese food around. Batch 44 Brewery always drums up some fantastic brews, and the best part is everything is walkable from here!

They are for laptops and games only (connection By HDMI)

This space is ideal for a simply getaway. Quiet and comfortable. A bright suite right off the sunshine coast highway. Centrally located for easy access to all the coast offers. Perfect for day-hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers. Near to the beach, coffee shops, restaurants etc. The suite comes with parking for one car.

The space
A lower level of house, the suite has been designed for your comfort. It is an open concept bachelor pad with everything you need to enjoy your time away. There is a walk-in closet off the bedroom and 4 piece bathroom with adjoung laundry. On rainy days, you can relax on the sleeper couch and browse the 'Apple TV'-equipped 55" television. There is one queen-size bed, and a pullout couch. Guests also have access to large foldable mats for sleeping and extra linens. The open-concept dining area features a solid maple slab table, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Davis bay beach is no more than a three minute walk. Enjoy sunsets on the beach, or a day in the sun sitting next to the 'salmon-bearing' Chapman Creek estuary

Guest access
Guests are welcome to the lower level suite. The outdoor area is not accessible by guests as it is reserved for upstairs guests. If you'd like access to the spa area please rent the upstairs suite, or whole-house listing.

Please avoid the car shed and green tent at the back of the property, as these are just utility spaces. Guests should also stay off the main driveway as this is my neighbor’s property with a driveway easement.

Guests can help themselves to consumables such as available laundry pods, dishwashing pods, miscellaneous soaps, available condiments etc.

There are gray towels available and two blue robes. We sell ONSEN towels.

During your stay no outside guests are allowed on the property beyond those in included in the booking guest number. The property is only to be accessed by the renting parties. If these rules are broken Airbnb is authorized to charge the renting guest $75/visitor/day in addition to the number of guests on the rental agreement.

The property is not isolated, and loud groups disrupt the neighborhood. It is very important that guests avoid disrupting the local community by limiting noise outside of the house, and around the spa and limiting activity on the shared driveway.

Please park and the gravel opposite the car shed. one car per group is the maximum. Extra cars must be left offsite.

Other things to note
This retreat is a centrally located along the Sunshine Coast highway. There are 2 coffee shops, a liquor store, a grocery store, 2 delightful restaurants, a river walk, a playground, and an exceptional beach within 3 minutes of the property. The house is quaint, comfortable, and well-designed for families or small groups looking for a place to rest in between days exploring the Sunshine Coast and relaxing in the Scandinavian Spa built for our climate.

Nearby Food and Drink:

500 meters East of the property is a Canadian Tire, IGA, Strait Coffee, Liquor Store, Pharmacy, Pizzeria and Dispensary. 800 meters North is Pier 17 coffee and diner, the Wobbly Canoe restaurant, and the Porch restaurant

You'll find a denser concentration of marketplaces restaurants and other amenities in Sechelt, about 8 minutes by car West down the road.

During the winter months we highly recommend snow tires. If it does snow, we will be salting and shovelling the driveway during your stay. As our property is on the view side of the highway, the driveway climbs up to the house.

Guests can use the front and back yard as they please. The stairs to the beach are not safe for use and we ask guests to not use the stairs and instead walk 5 minutes in their direction to beautiful beach access points.

We have wild animals on our property from time to time including racoons, coyotes, and black bears. We also have orcas, grey whales, and humpbacks go by depending on the time of year!

If you’re on your bike, there’s no secure storage but let us know ahead of time and we can arrange an area to lock your bikes in the closed off carport. Please, no bikes in the suite.
