- "Being my first VRBO stay, I was pleased to find this place at a very reasonable winter price. The place was exactly as advertised. It was super clean, not high end furnishings but good for the use. It had all the dishes, pots and other items to prepare small meals. A 2 tuner hot plate, microwave and a great electric frying pan. The room had the soaps and cleaners etc. Access was easy and the place was quiet. Now it is an old heritage home so you will hear the occasional foot steps above but it was not bothersome. A little cat greeted me in the basement hallway and two dogs sometimes were in the yard and not a bother. Kirstin was a great host. I would certainly stay again. "

Spacious, 1400 sqft private suite with a separate entry through a beautiful backyard and down 12 steps (with a handrail) to a basement suite. Family friendly as we have a toddler upstairs so you may hear her running around sometimes.

We have central AC for the summer (the space alone is a great hideout from the summer heat) and a fireplace for cozying up in the winter. Queens Park is right outside with lots of forest, a playground, a spray park and a concession stand.

About the space:
Spacious 2 bed 2 bath high ceiling basement suite with your own washer & dryer. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite. There is a twin air mattress available for additional guests as well as a mini crib upon request. The living, dining and kitchen is together where you will find a 55” smart tv and a bluray player with a healthy selection of movies because we like to keep things retro. We also have 1G fiber optic wifi and ethernet plugs.

We are located steps from Queens park which has a spray park, playground, calisthenics park (outdoor gym), skate park, and a beautiful nature path.

The house is all wood and while it’s been renovated, you may still hear sounds coming from upstairs. Please expect regular noise levels during the day.

It was overly hot there because the "AC" that was there was just a tall fan and on site there was a supposed washer and dryer but nope! It is also a 10 minute walk to the station, not 5. Never met the host while I was there, not even for check-in. Oh and let's not forget the curtains are completely see through so hopefully you don't mind being seen from the street at night. "
