- "Being my first VRBO stay, I was pleased to find this place at a very reasonable winter price. The place was exactly as advertised. It was super clean, not high end furnishings but good for the use. It had all the dishes, pots and other items to prepare small meals. A 2 tuner hot plate, microwave and a great electric frying pan. The room had the soaps and cleaners etc. Access was easy and the place was quiet. Now it is an old heritage home so you will hear the occasional foot steps above but it was not bothersome. A little cat greeted me in the basement hallway and two dogs sometimes were in the yard and not a bother. Kirstin was a great host. I would certainly stay again. "

Spacious, 1400 sqft private suite with a separate entry through a beautiful backyard and down 12 steps (with a handrail) to a basement suite. Family friendly as we have a toddler upstairs so you may hear her running around sometimes.

We have central AC for the summer (the space alone is a great hideout from the summer heat) and a fireplace for cozying up in the winter. Queens Park is right outside with lots of forest, a playground, a spray park and a concession stand.

About the space:
Spacious 2 bed 2 bath high ceiling basement suite with your own washer & dryer. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite. There is a twin air mattress available for additional guests as well as a mini crib upon request. The living, dining and kitchen is together where you will find a 55” smart tv and a bluray player with a healthy selection of movies because we like to keep things retro. We also have 1G fiber optic wifi and ethernet plugs.

We are located steps from Queens park which has a spray park, playground, calisthenics park (outdoor gym), skate park, and a beautiful nature path.

The house is all wood and while it’s been renovated, you may still hear sounds coming from upstairs. Please expect regular noise levels during the day.

The price is affordable compared to other prices which are extremely expensive. The only thing was the loud train sounds but other then that it was good. The outlets couldn't keep the electronics in (they constantly fell out while charging). They conviently hid the fact that there is a door in the bedroom, leading directly outside, the desk had not outlet near it so I could charge my laptop while working, there is a creepy attic attachment in the bathroom, and even as a small woman the shower stall was too small. It was overly hot there because the "AC" that was there was just a tall fan and on site there was a supposed washer and dryer but nope! It is also a 10 minute walk to the station, not 5. Never met the host while I was there, not even for check-in. Oh and let's not forget the curtains are completely see through so hopefully you don't mind being seen from the street at night. "

This house is a family home in a family neighbourhood, near the centre of Metro Vancouver overlooking the historical Sapperton & the Fraser River.

Just a moment away from Highway #1, it is a great place to plan to stop before continuing your travels.

There is a shared bathroom that family may be using, as well as other guests. But depending on frequent family travel, on longer stays, you may also find yourself the only guest in the entire space.

Please note: Metro Vancouver is Canada's third largest metropolitan area and though the centre of the area is extremely convenient for getting in and out of the city and travelling to major destinations in the region, it is not particularly close to the downtown core which is roughly 20 km away. Those 20 km are quickly covered by convenient Skytrain or car - until rush hour when traffic grinds to a halt and it can take over an hour to get to major tourist destinations like the Vancouver Art Gallery or Stanley Park. Use your online map for an accurate estimate of travel times to given destinations by different travel modes at specific times. Please consider that a trip at 10 pm at night can be greater than 10x as fast as the same trip at 5 pm.

1. Kitchen: The kitchen is fully functional with pots and pans, basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, cooking oil, spices, dinner set, cutlery and everything else! No need to run to the grocery store and buy big packets for a short stay :)

2. Dining area: there is a beautiful dining area for you to sit and enjoy your meals.

3. Bathroom: the bathroom is shared with us. The space includes bathing essentials such as bath towels, face towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We also provide tooth paste and bath foam for guests who wish to have a bath (we request the bath to be limited to 30 min as its’s a common space and other guests/ people might have to use the bathroom :)). We provide disinfecting wipes, seat covers for the pot to support and maintain hygiene.

4. Living area: our living area is very beautiful, full of light during the day and lit with warm lights during the night. The fireplace and the red chair are the highlights and would make you feel very cozy with a throw that we have to offer. There are beautiful lamps and fairy lights that add to the charm of our living space. Sitting here during the day will make you feel very peaceful and content for sure (works for us:)) The living area has an adjoining area with a table and 2 high chairs , which could also be used as additional working space.

5. Patio: Our patio is one of a kind and is as huge as 1000 sq ft! The Patio has numerous plants that gives a touch of the nature and attracts little humming birds which provides a mesmerising view at any time of the day. The patio has dining furniture and would be a perfect spot for you to have a candle light dinner near the fire pit !

This spacious and bright guest suite in a gorgeous house provides 1 bedroom with a king-size bed, a bathroom, and a private, spacious living room with a comfortable sofa bed and a sofa. If you have more than 4 guests, we will provide 2 more bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and there will be an extra charge of $35 per person per night. You will share the kitchen with the host couple who lives in the master bedroom upstairs.

The space
The guest suite is consists of:
1. a nice spacious bedroom.
2. a large, bright living room with a nice Sofa bed which can comfortably sleep 2 guests.
3. a large private bathroom conveniently located just beside the bedroom.
4. a dining/work area with a large window facing a beautiful green backyard.

Parking is no problem at all. You can on the street or in our driveway.

We have a comfortable and peaceful suite with a separate entrance. There is a full bathroom, separate bedroom, a sofa bed and a large desk so you can use it as a work and study space.
The house is located in a quiet residential area within walking distance of restaurants, supermarkets, spas, cafes and the Royal Columbian Hospital and Justice Institute of BC. The bus station and sky train station are only a short distance away.

We live in a quiet, safe, and beautiful community. Just a short walk to the bus station . It's a 5-minute walk to Royal Columbian Hospital and an 8-minute walk to the SkyTrain station for quick access to Metrotown and downtown Vancouver. We are very close to several supermarkets (Save On Foods, Shoppers) and recreational facilities such as bars, restaurants, spas, cafes.
Highways #1 and #7 are easily accessible in just a few minutes drive, taking you anywhere.

Our location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to 22nd Avenue Station in New Westminster. Additionally, there are various amenities within a 10-minute walking distance, including restaurants, a grocery store, and a laundromat. A beautiful park is nearby for morning workouts, or you can take a 5-minute drive to the local casino for some entertainment.

The space
Shared Accommodations: Our wooden house offers shared access to the bathroom, kitchen, and living room areas. Please be mindful of other guests who may also be using these facilities during your stay.

House Features: As a wooden house, you may hear footsteps from the upstairs area. Additionally, due to the proximity to the sky train station, you may experience noise from passing trains. Please bring your own ear muffs for sleeping or we can provide it for additional cost. Some portion of ceiling is about 6 feet high so please watch your head.

Room Amenities: Your room includes basic amenities such as a single-sized bed, a small fridge, desk, chair, table fan, portable heater, shelf, and hangers.

Personal Hygiene Items and Towels: Please be prepared to bring your own personal hygiene items and shower towel. However, if you require a shower towel from us, you can purchase one for $10 each. Please let us know in advance if you need to purchase towels. We highly encourage guests to bring their own towels to minimize contact.

Room Cleanliness: As part of our efforts to maintain a safe environment, we kindly request that you leave the room reasonably clean and tidy upon checkout. This includes ensuring that there is no food left on the floor, garbage properly disposed of, and dishes cleaned and put away.

Outdoor Space: We encourage you to take advantage of our outside garden and patio area, especially during the warmer months. It's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sunshine or unwind with a glass of wine
