The Tulip room has a queen bed with ample closet space and a large dresser. (sharable with those in Bear Cave/no closet). A bench window seat looks out to the front garden for bird watching and is 6 steps to to the bathroom.

The Africa room has a queen bed and a Childs twin bed. Fun for kids, or quiet office space. The room is stocked with TV toys and books, costumes, musical instruments, toys for kids, of all ages.

The sunroom/Bear Cave has a new queen sleeper sofa(feather bed topper is supplied) & TV, and a Pac Man Arcade Game. A Door to the deck with water, Eagle view! A small room, but it does provide privacy away from the main great room, no closet , room for a luggage rack, but other places clothing can go (Tulip room).

Upstairs a private master retreat, decorated with a beach theme. Large bathroom, double sinks, with a sitting area. Large closets, gas fireplace, private deck, and water view from the King size bed, a Sitting area nice comfy chair, coffee maker fridge and Microwave, no need to hurry downstairs.
The private deck with a topless rail gives a fantastic, Island, mountain Eagle and sunset view! Outdoor furniture, with gas fire pit on the upper deck.

The back of the house is wrapped in 850 sq feet of decking with 3-4 separate sitting areas. The glass rail gives you an unobstructed view from wherever you sit.

- "It was perfect! Seriously! I never write reviews but this was such an awesome time. Our group consisted of 30+ age with a couple old ladies (sister get together) attending a wedding in Bellingham. I couldn't get myself off the back deck long enough to really enjoy the beautiful house so it's a definite we are all going back. Kitchen can cover just about any size group but make sure you bring your own condiments and coffee accoutrements. Make sure you're up early to enjoy coffee on one of the back decks and that you're back home to watch the sunset! Just when you thought you'd see the MOST perfect one...the next day is going to be even more perfect. Skyline changes throughout the day with beautiful hummingbirds, sea lions, dragonflies and of course the resident eagle! Try to get to "downtown" Blaine and have Lorri hook you up with a boat ride. We went out to the Canadian side and watched a sunset from the boat but I personally thought it was a better view from the house. Bring your wine and cocktails for the boat ride. After dark enjoy more wine and cocktails at the fire pit on the deck or in the backyard. I'm a propane kind of woman. I can't upload pictures but go to their Facebook page. I'm going to send some there. We are the "ATX" group!!!! I'm almost out characters so I'll just say again OMG we really enjoyed. And Lorri...you're awesome!"

NEWER HOME -- This is a newer beachfront house in a quiet neighborhood. From the house, deck and patio you will enjoy spectacular panoramic waterfront views of the Gulf Islands to White Rock, BC. A path in the backyard leads to private stairs to the beach. The house comfortably sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. There is also a sleeper sofa. The main floor has easy, no-stair access with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lower level includes an extra living area with the sleeper sofa, kitchenette and bedroom with a third bathroom. - "My husband I and another couple had a lovely stay at this cute rancher house. When we saw this cute house from outside we just fell in love with it. When we entered the house it was just what we were looking forward to. This house was totally clean. So bright as there are skylights in the living room. Loved the kitchen and the whole area. The kitchen is equipped with everything...name it cutlery knives serving spoons, scissors, ziploc bags etc. You will love it. the spice cabinet was awesome though we did not need to use any as we cooked food and brought. All we did was just warm up the food. We met with the Manager cute lady Tami. Bless her she has taken real good care of this property. There are decks on either sides of the house. Very clean. The backyard is awesome. Well kept. There is a computer in the room where I guess kids can play their games or you can check your emails. Very cozy and comfortable. They have a bed that folds into a cabinet. That was smart. It looked so neat and tidy. Bedrooms were awesome too. My husband and I slept in the queen bedroom I found the bed a bit too high for a person my height. I'm 5.2 feet. But comfortable beds. The bathroom/washroom were absolutely smelling fresh and clean. She also had a shower cap. I had forgotten to carry mine. So thank you Tami. We went on our walks to the Pier so beautiful. Loved the house. Tami you take a lot of trouble to keep it clean for all that rent this place. Thank you very much."

The whole house has a high-end water treatment system which softens and purifies all the water naturally, restoring the life force. Great for drinking and bathing too.

Overall I would say very quiet area if it had not been that holiday. Semiahmoo Spit is a peninsula, conveniently situated between Blaine and Birch Bay - ten minutes off the I-5. The Blue Heron Cottage has the luxury of being away from the busy-ness of town While still having close access to world class golf, restaurants and cultural activities.

The Semiahmoo Resort and Spa is a few minutes drive from the cottage. All the luxury you want awaits, along with great food and drinks. From the resort you can take a ride on the M/V Plover during the summer and arrive in Blaine to explore that border town.

Walking on the beach is the best thing! Short drive to local towns. Parking is on the property only.

We suggest picking up groceries on your way to Semiahmoo - once you get here, you won't want to leave! If you prefer to have your groceries, or something special in the house upon your arrival, guests may order concierge service as a separate amenity from this booking by contacting the host after booking or going to PNW Concierge on the internet. Other services and amenities are available as well, including during stay housekeeping, and a personal chef service!

The home is not child-proofed - there are no covers on the outlets, or locks on cabinets containing cleaning products, etc. You are responsible for taking precautions to keep your children safe.
The property has easy access to the beach and the Semiahmoo Bay (body of water,) please keep your children within sight distance.
In respect of our neighbors we ask for quiet time between 10pm and 8am. Please note that noise travels easily and far around water.
