A Gourmet kitchen with an island for gathering or prepping, a Black Walnut live edge bar for plenty of kitchen seating, dining table for 6-8.

The Tulip room has a queen bed with ample closet space and a large dresser. (sharable with those in Bear Cave/no closet). A bench window seat looks out to the front garden for bird watching and is 6 steps to to the bathroom.

The Africa room has a queen bed and a Childs twin bed. Fun for kids, or quiet office space. The room is stocked with TV toys and books, costumes, musical instruments, toys for kids, of all ages.

The sunroom/Bear Cave has a new queen sleeper sofa(feather bed topper is supplied) & TV, and a Pac Man Arcade Game. A Door to the deck with water, Eagle view! A small room, but it does provide privacy away from the main great room, no closet , room for a luggage rack, but other places clothing can go (Tulip room).

Upstairs a private master retreat, decorated with a beach theme. Large bathroom, double sinks, with a sitting area. Large closets, gas fireplace, private deck, and water view from the King size bed, a Sitting area nice comfy chair, coffee maker fridge and Microwave, no need to hurry downstairs.
The private deck with a topless rail gives a fantastic, Island, mountain Eagle and sunset view! Outdoor furniture, with gas fire pit on the upper deck.

The back of the house is wrapped in 850 sq feet of decking with 3-4 separate sitting areas. The glass rail gives you an unobstructed view from wherever you sit.

- "It was perfect! Seriously! I never write reviews but this was such an awesome time. Our group consisted of 30+ age with a couple old ladies (sister get together) attending a wedding in Bellingham. I couldn't get myself off the back deck long enough to really enjoy the beautiful house so it's a definite we are all going back. Kitchen can cover just about any size group but make sure you bring your own condiments and coffee accoutrements. Make sure you're up early to enjoy coffee on one of the back decks and that you're back home to watch the sunset! Just when you thought you'd see the MOST perfect one...the next day is going to be even more perfect. Skyline changes throughout the day with beautiful hummingbirds, sea lions, dragonflies and of course the resident eagle! Try to get to "downtown" Blaine and have Lorri hook you up with a boat ride. We went out to the Canadian side and watched a sunset from the boat but I personally thought it was a better view from the house. Bring your wine and cocktails for the boat ride. After dark enjoy more wine and cocktails at the fire pit on the deck or in the backyard. I'm a propane kind of woman. I can't upload pictures but go to their Facebook page. I'm going to send some there. We are the "ATX" group!!!! I'm almost out characters so I'll just say again OMG we really enjoyed. And Lorri...you're awesome!"

NEWER HOME -- This is a newer beachfront house in a quiet neighborhood. From the house, deck and patio you will enjoy spectacular panoramic waterfront views of the Gulf Islands to White Rock, BC. A path in the backyard leads to private stairs to the beach. The house comfortably sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. There is also a sleeper sofa. The main floor has easy, no-stair access with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lower level includes an extra living area with the sleeper sofa, kitchenette and bedroom with a third bathroom. - "My husband I and another couple had a lovely stay at this cute rancher house. When we saw this cute house from outside we just fell in love with it. When we entered the house it was just what we were looking forward to. This house was totally clean. So bright as there are skylights in the living room. Loved the kitchen and the whole area. The kitchen is equipped with everything...name it cutlery knives serving spoons, scissors, ziploc bags etc. You will love it. the spice cabinet was awesome though we did not need to use any as we cooked food and brought. All we did was just warm up the food. We met with the Manager cute lady Tami. Bless her she has taken real good care of this property. There are decks on either sides of the house. Very clean. The backyard is awesome. Well kept. There is a computer in the room where I guess kids can play their games or you can check your emails. Very cozy and comfortable. They have a bed that folds into a cabinet. That was smart. It looked so neat and tidy. Bedrooms were awesome too. My husband and I slept in the queen bedroom I found the bed a bit too high for a person my height. I'm 5.2 feet. But comfortable beds. The bathroom/washroom were absolutely smelling fresh and clean. She also had a shower cap. I had forgotten to carry mine. So thank you Tami. We went on our walks to the Pier so beautiful. Loved the house. Tami you take a lot of trouble to keep it clean for all that rent this place. Thank you very much."

The whole house has a high-end water treatment system which softens and purifies all the water naturally, restoring the life force. Great for drinking and bathing too.

Then there was a wonderful book to refer to for what I may have forgotten. WIFI was excellent. Stayed the week before the 4th of July so not real quiet but the noise was a distance away. Overall I would say very quiet area if it had not been that holiday. Semiahmoo Spit is a peninsula, conveniently situated between Blaine and Birch Bay - ten minutes off the I-5. The Blue Heron Cottage has the luxury of being away from the busy-ness of town While still having close access to world class golf, restaurants and cultural activities.

The Semiahmoo Resort and Spa is a few minutes drive from the cottage. All the luxury you want awaits, along with great food and drinks. From the resort you can take a ride on the M/V Plover during the summer and arrive in Blaine to explore that border town.

Walking on the beach is the best thing! Short drive to local towns. Parking is on the property only.

We suggest picking up groceries on your way to Semiahmoo - once you get here, you won't want to leave! If you prefer to have your groceries, or something special in the house upon your arrival, guests may order concierge service as a separate amenity from this booking by contacting the host after booking or going to PNW Concierge on the internet. Stairway to the beach ends on a wonderful, lightly traveled, long stretch of beach. Please note that stairway and path to beach are somewhat steep.Children, and anyone unstable on their feet must be accompanied. Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.

We welcome you to this quaint and cozy cabin in Birch Bay. Only two blocks from the Birch Bay C-shop which is a popular stop for homemade candy, ice cream and other goodies. The Farmers Market and the bike rental shop are also only two blocks away. Although a little further but still walking distance you will find restaurants, brew pub, coffee shops and some shopping not to mention clam digging and beach combing.

The cabin itself is tastefully decorated and provides many of the comforts of home. Enter the property and find the living area. The kitchen has what you need to prepare a picnic or a full meal. There is a dinning table in the kitchen area that is perfect for breaking bread or playing one of the games provided in the property. The sitting area has a nice TV and there is complimentary WIFI. Up the stairs you will find the bedrooms and a full bath The larger bedroom has a door that leads to the two decks. Yes, two decks which are also accessible from the main entry. A lovely sitting area on one deck and the upper deck is perfect to watch one of Birch Bay's amazing sunsets over the water. The larger bedroom also has a desk in case you need to do a little remote work while enjoying time at the beach. There is also a nice TV and lots of closet space. The other rooms are smaller but cute and comfortable.

The property is very clean and well maintained and perfect for a friends weekend or a family get away. Close to everything that makes Birch Bay so special yet a peaceful location.

Blaine, Washington is beautifully framed by Mt. Baker to the east and Semiahmoo Bay and the Georgia Strait to the west. You’ll enjoy picturesque sunsets from the patio of this modern, waterfront home recently built in 2017. The home has 9-foot ceilings and expansive glass doors that frame the breathtaking scenery that you can enjoy without leaving the comfort of a luxurious king size bed. The main level features a master bedroom and bath complete with his and her sinks, a tiled shower and separate bathtub. The living area and kitchen have an open floor plan, designed to take advantage of the west facing views of Drayton Harbor and Semiahmoo.

All the apples and berries you can eat this time of year on the property and coastline.

The kitchen is a dream for any chef, complete with full stove, dishwasher, microwave and spacious island to do all your prep work. We should mention there’s a brand new BBQ in the backyard for your use too! However, there are some amazing dining options nearby as well.

Blaine has recently been made the Audubon Society’s list as on the of state’s top birding destinations and Drayton Harbor attracts thousands of geese, ducks, loons, gulls and shorebirds every year, as well as, endangered species such as the bald eagle, peregrine falcon and marbled murrelet. There is water access from a private path along the backyard and a kayak available to you to go paddle and explore this beautiful shoreline. There is a firepit by the water’s edge, which is a great place to enjoy your evening glass of wine.
For a fun time, affordable menu with OK food, cheap drinks and dancing the Beach in Birch Bay is my favorite place. It is on the water and there is a bar next door with dozens of exotic beers on tap and a liquor store next door. On the 4 mile drive back home there is a little market.

Only minutes away the other direction is the Semiahmoo Resort. It is a world-class destination, featuring a marina, pool, spa, fitness center, restaurant and championship golf courses and $1,000,000 condos. Visit Packers Oyster Bar for their amazing lamb burgers, flatbreads and beer-battered fish and chips, or the for exquisite brunches and a fabulous selection of fine dining options.

Semiahmoo Spit is also home to Semiahmoo Park, which features more than 300 acres of tideland and approximately 1.5 miles of level pathways ideal for walking, biking, rollerblading, kayaking, clamming, sand sculpting, kite flying and picnicking.

Downtown Blaine is just a short drive or nice walk from the house, where you can grab a scoop of delicious ice cream from a local family farm in Lynden. In 1975, Ed and Aileen Bransma combined their names to create Edaleen Dairy. The ice cream shop in downtown Blaine opened in 2014 and includes all the usual varieties and some tasty others, among them chocolate chip peanut butter nut, blueberry cheesecake, white chocolate raspberry, fudgy wudgy and coffee almond fudge. A great place to also stock up on fresh cream, yogurt, milk and cheese all made from their dairy too. Additionally, there are nearby local farms where you can pick your own berries, apples, veggies and lavender. There are apple and berry trees and bushes on the property.

- "Our getaway was perfect. Such a beautiful setting to get away and decompress with walks on the beach, watching the wildlife, and having quiet time." - "Unplug and enjoy!" - "Loved the setting and the views, including the balconies. We came in early November and lucked out with sun/no rain. Great walks on the beach and around the area. Well furnished, complete kitchen. Maybe a little frayed around the edges in places but better than many other places we've stayed at. Good communication from the property manager. The only real negative was the cleaning. There were mascara marks facing out on one of the towels, impossible to miss. One of the toilets had not been flushed. And other smaller issues. Notes for future guests: -Outer gate entry code has the hashtag at the beginning, not the end (we are used to seeing it at the end of a number sequence). -Front door lock: to open, enter the code, press the lit button on the top, then quickly rotate the main lock handle to the left several turns. And vice versa to lock the door. We were not rotating it fast enough and far enough at first. -Main bedroom bed is roughly 16 inches off the ground. If you have a bad back, its not fun. (Bed itself is comfortable and bedding is warm). -There is little to no space to put your belongings. And the closets are already full. "

- "This apartment was newly renovated and very tastefully decorated. It was extremely clean and had everything you could need. Shampoo, coffee, kitchen items, a complimentary bottle of wine? Nice touch ! The sheets felt and smelled amazing :) The bed was very comfortable as well. We felt extremely safe here. It is located above a restaurant but you'd never know it. The train does go by, at the back of the apartment, on the water side, however, anywhere you stay in Blaine, you are going to hear the train. It would not keep me from staying there again. In fact, I plan to stay with them again when I return to Blaine ! The hosts go above and beyond. Communication is exceptional ! It's just a perfect place stay for any length of time and in a perfect location. A stunning view of the harbor is just out the door !"

- "The unit provided much of what we needed and was in a nice neighborhood. During our stay, we found the place clean and quiet. One thing that we wished was available was a table to eat at and set up our laptops. We spend a great deal of time planning and working in this manner so we improvised by using stools as laptop tables. The check-in was a bit confusing only because we were not clear that this was the bottom half of one unit. Overall, it's a nice place to stay."

The space
Beautifully custom built 1000sft 1-bedroom with loft, kitchen, main living room and private bonus living room with queen pull out bed. Laundry room has a half bath with utility sink. This is a private suite on the bottom level of a main house. It is completely private with its own entrance into a large mud room. The property is in a quiet Park like setting with walking trails on back 2 acres of property. A combination of grassy fields, wooded area and pond view!

Still Waters Cottage is cozy oasis. 400 square feet with double bed, bath (shower and clawfoot tub), full kitchen, washer/dryer. You have access to a private back porch and yard as you go out french doors. You also have access to the common grounds for the entire property that includes grill, hot tub, fire pit with real wood and table for picnic by pond. two swinging chairs from tree, and two floating chairs with gas fire pit by pond. Community pool access just across from property.

The space
As Super Hosts, we are dedicated to providing an unforgettable stay that provides a peaceful oasis. Grab your coffee (Keurig coffee maker with high quality coffee) and watch the blue herons and Canadian geese fly into the pond as you relax by the real wood fire pit. You might even spot a bald eagle on a limb or one of our two resident owls during the summer and fall.

The cottage has both a shower and a claw foot tub for a relaxing bath. We provide plush robes for lounging and heading over to the hot tub, along with special hot tub shoes. Our bath towels are luxurious, top of the line. The bed is also so comfortable with microfiber sheets and cover. Guests constantly ask us about the sheets.

We also have a washer/dryer in the cottage for your convenience for your personal belongs. Anything that relates to the cottage is washed by your hosts...please place your towels, sheets, etc. in the plastic bags provided and put on the porch of the main house. We have additional towels and sheets inside the cottage ready for your use.

Want to grill? We've got you covered with a nice gas grill right outside your cottage.

Got guests in a wheelchair who might be visiting you while you stay with us? We have portable wheelchair ramps that adjust to various widths of wheelchairs. We aren't officially wheelchair accessible due to those qualifications, but we can get you into the cottage for a visit.

This property is unique for its proximity to both Canada and the US and gives you the opportunity to both snow ski and golf on the same day. Located just ten minutes from the Peach Arch border in the Pacific Northwest of WA, we've been renting it out for years before coming online with Airbnb. Our friends insisted! :)

We are 420 friendly; however, the designated area is by the pond.

We checked "No animals allowed;" however, If you have small (less than 20 pounds) non-shedding dogs (no cats), inquire with us and we will review each situation case by case. You have the right to ask, and we reserve the right to say "No."

Guests can utilize all the common grounds of the property...Grill, Hot tub, Floating chairs with gas fire pit, Wood fire pit with sitting area by pond and dining table by pond, swinging chairs hanging from trees. Only the fire pit table next to the hot tub on back deck of main house is unavailable as it is reserved for use by owners , but check with us as we can make special arrangements.

The hot tub is available by reservation the day you desire to use it. You must request by 6 pm what time you want to use it no later than 10 pm. We can also accommodate use in the mornings between 10 am and noon upon request. Just communicate your desired time to us. If you need a time outside of the ones listed, let us know...we are flexible. We just want to make sure we aren't all planning on using the hot tub at the same time! :) And, we want to make sure you understand that noise needs to be kept to a minimum as the hot tub is on the back deck outside owner's bedroom and near neighbor on that side. You will have complete privacy.

Other things to note
Do you LOVE playing pickleball, or want to learn how to play? Dotti loves playing, teaching and coaching! There are indoor courts just 5 minutes away and it only costs $3 per person to play in rainy weather or during the winter months. She can clue you in on the schedule or take in a game of pickleball with you...and give you a lesson (for an additional fee).

During spring, summer and fall, Dotti can arrange to rent an outdoor court just 5 minutes away. She will give you a total fee that includes court rental, net, paddles and balls.

Still Waters Cottage is ideally suited (6 miles-about a ten-minute drive to the Peace Arch border going into Canada) and 45 minutes - 1 hour south of Vancouver, BC and Stanley Park (depending on time of day to consider traffic). Plan to have your passport and/or Nexus pass for crossing the border. Flying in/out of Vancouver Airport enables you to reach Still Waters Cottage in 45 minutes.

We are 18 miles north of Bellingham. You can reach the Bellingham airport in 20 minutes from Still Waters Cottage. We're two hours north of SeaTac airport.

Love to ski and golf on the same day? You've found the place! Mt. Baker offers skiing and there are multiple golf courses in the area such as the Semiahmoo Resort Golf courses and world renowned Peace Portal Golf Club.

Bellingham Marina with the Hotel Bellwether has a restaurant and live music during the summer outside and inside during the winter is a treat. Other great restaurants, including well-known Anthony's, are also great choices. Relax and walk around. Travel on further south in Bellingham and check out Boulevard Park, a community park established in 1980. Located on Bellingham Bay, Boulevard Park is a favorite among locals for sunsets (and sunrises), walks, and beautiful pictures. Boulevard Park is a charming bay-side community space featuring a performance stage for local concerts, open space for throwing a frisbee, and some of the best views of Bellingham Bay found anywhere else in the city. Connecting the Fairhaven Historic District to the south and downtown Bellingham to the north, Boulevard Park provides great walking and biking trails along the shore.

The facilities at Boulevard Park also include a playground, picnic tables, barbecues, trails, and pocket beaches. The Woods Coffee is there, however, we recommend the coffee shop in Village Books. As you take the walk across the bridges from Woods Coffee and up the hill to the Chrysalis Inn and Spa, you will then take a right turn at the top as you come up from the water. That path will take you right into Fairhaven, known as Historic Bellingham. You will find Village books there. Explore and have fun!

A trip to Victoria in BC to see The Butchart Gardens is a must! Hiking is spectacular and Summer and Fall are usually 70-80's with no humidity! Birch Bay Beach is just one mile from us...wonderful for walking and seeing spectacular sunsets while dining overlooking the water. Drive 20 minutes to White Rock Beach or 25 minutes to Crescent Beach, both in Canada.

**PET POLICY** We love your furry family members!! And we welcome hosting 1-2 pets, but only if they are house/potty trained. Please do not leave your pet alone in the unit, and please keep pets off the bedding…not all of our guests are animal owners :)
Salishan Park across the street is lovely to take your pets to run around, and Blaine has a couple off leash dog parks as well we can recommend!

Located in Birch Bay, WA, near Semiahmoo. Beach access is 1.6 miles away. You will be greeted with simple design, relaxing decor and lots of natural light. This little house has personality. Soak up sunshine on the deck or look at the bay from the dining table.
Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club is 2.9 miles from the house. We are 6 miles from I-5, a 15 minute drive from the Canadian border and Blaine, and 23 miles from Bellingham International Airport.

The space
Pull up to the cutest little white house on a large driveway and front yard with climbing tree and ascend the wide porch steps to the south facing deck and enter the crisp black front door to find a delightful open concept kitchen, dining and living area. Minimalist decor and lofty ceilings will meet you and the many large windows will bathe you in natural light. Drink in the bay view or pull the zebra blinds for full privacy. The kitchen is complete with all the appliances and basic panty items for all your cooking. If you would rather dine out, there is a list of our area favorites. The living room has a comfy sofa from which you can watch included Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, or live TV on the Smart TV. The Ikea sofa extends to watch tv while having your legs up or use the bedding provided inside the sofa storage to sleep two adults. The queen bedroom is peaceful with a lofted ceiling. The twin bedroom is off the living room and has a pocket door. It also has an outdoor access. The bathroom is airy and has full laundering capacities and amenities with fluffy white towels and endless hot water from the tank-less hot water heater. Outside is a large and long front and side yard. Most of the deck faces out to the cul de sac. There are neighbors to each side. The deck is equipped with a grill, large table and four chairs with a cheery umbrella, a bench, and a small coffee table with two relaxing chairs perfect for a.m. coffee with distant bay view. Come and stay awhile.

The space
Quiet, private, yet close to fun & freeway. We are a natural bird sanctuary, tucked into the wetlands on the shore of Drayton Harbor. We look across the bay to White Rock, Canada, and the mountains behind Vancouver BC.

We have never needed air conditioning because the air quality is perfect 99% of the time. Occasionally we have used a fan over the past 30 years, but usually the cross-breezes from the bay are better than any air conditioning.

We uphold the highest cleaning protocol for our safety and yours. And we ozone the entire house after each guest.

The open plan home is very private, yet only 10 minutes to I-5 and all kinds of shopping and dining and many beaches.

The house is well appointed with all appliances, spices, comfortable beds and lots of extra pillows, blankets and towels. It is ideal for 4, very comfortable for 6 and can work well for 7 guests.
Our expansive Great Room inspires freedom of thought, movement and creativity.

The Wi-Fi works great, the internet speed is between 90-105. Several guests have worked remotely for months at a time.

Our flat screen TV receives local stations from Bellingham, USA and B.C., Canada. We do not have cable TV, although the TV works with Roku and other devices. Guests have noted how much they enjoyed the quirky local stations. There is a big library of DVDs for both children and adults.

The whole house has a high-end water treatment system purifying all the water naturally, making bottled water unnecessary.

We have plenty of free parking. Our guests are welcome to respectfully enjoy our labyrinth which can be found in the middle of the woodland path connecting our properties. The path is found just past the fruit trees and the shed. Information about labyrinths is located in the White Notebook with house notes.

Other things to note
We request a two-day minimum stay. Often check-in can be much earlier if no one is staying the night before. Sometimes we can accommodate a late checkout. We are on a septic system so only one shower or ‘water guzzler’ (dishwasher or washing machine) at a time please.
There is great fishing close by, many golf courses and kayaking. The waterslide park, the Plover boat ride, go-karts, mini-golf and kiddy train are open seasonally.

All three mattresses are brand new 12" Firm Memory Foam mattresses. The majority of my guests love them but if your preference is a soft mattress these might not be a good fit for you. The Queen bed frame is Thuma which is a high quality platform bed. Thank you.

At 1,000 sq. feet Bella Vista is not big, what she lacks in size she makes up in personality. Vaulted ceilings with solid wooden beams compose the kitchen and eating area.
