Enjoy ocean views and beach life in our 1 bedroom Tuwanek beach cabin just steps to a gorgeous sandy swimming beach which is perfect for families or walk 5 minutes to 'Tuwanek Spit' where you can relax and watch the sunset. The calm waters of Sechelt inlet are perfect for swimming, SUP, kayaking, canoeing, fishing or just plain old relaxing.

Our space
Our freshly renovated cabin is laid out as a bright 1 bedroom with modern bathroom and kitchenette. The cabin is bathed in sunlight and has stunning ocean views plus it's own private garden with a stream running through it. With a queen sized bed plus an L shaped couch to lounge on that turns into an additional queen sized bed our cabin can accommodate both families and friends as well as couples looking for a secluded get away. We like to call it modern rustic with the blend of exposed beams, vaulted ceilings and modern finishings it's warm inviting and made for relaxing.

The Details
The bedroom has french doors that open out into the river garden and overlook the forest, the bed is comfy and our down duvet will keep you warm at night. The bathroom has a shower stall, with a view over the river. The kitchenette includes a small fridge, 2 burner induction stovetop, toaster, microwave, coffee and tea making facilities and all utensils needed for cooking outside on the stainless steel BBQ in your own private secret garden. The garden is complete with a babbling brook, waterfall and you can take a dip in our 4 person hot tub under the stars at night or peak out at the ocean during the day. The open plan living area has a view of the inlet and the local mountains and is the perfect place to feast on seafood or sip on a glass of wine as the afternoon sunlight filters through.

Tuwanek is famous for it's world class scuba diving and calm water kayaking. Feel free to bring your own kayaks, we can provide storage. The beach access is a short stroll down a tree lined path which is perfect for sun lovers and provides safe swimming for all. For those wishing to hike or 4x4 enthusiasts directly above us is the Tetrahedron Provincial Park which has a multitude of high altitude lakes and alpine hiking on amazing trails. For those seeking pampering check out the 'Water's Edge Spa' just a 2 minute walk.

Tuwanek is an amazing untouched hidden gem on the Sunshine Coast and unwind at the Sunshine Coast Cabin.

We highly recommend getting ferry reservations at peak times, especially in the summer.

Situated in the tranquil village of Tuwanek, is our cozy, comfortable cabin. It sits right on the edge of the oceans, at the end of a short stroll through the forest. Access isn’t easy as it’s a dirt path and then 30 gentle stairs down to it but the walk is worth it. Our cabin is perched on the water’s edge with two decks, one off the main level and a second one over the high tide line and a long dock, all to enjoy soaring eagles, curious seals and countless other wildlife including the occasional pod of orcas and dolphins swimming in the Inlet.
The cabin, built in the late 60’s and renovated in the last 5 years, is perfect for anyone with a passion for nature and are looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat. It is available for a 90 day minimum (discounts available) and an ideal location to work from, create from, or just layback and enjoy paddling in the inlet, hiking the many near by trails, cross country skiing (in the winter) or shopping in Sechelt and other picturesque villages up and down the Sunshine Coast.

The primary bedroom has a queen size bed that looks out across the inlet to mountains on the other side. A bunk room for 4 is adjacent to the bedroom and comfortably sleeps 4. Drapes provide privacy for this area. All the beds have comfy, cozy linen.

The kitchen is fully equipped for creating delicious meals and the dining table easily seats 6 people.

You get the unique feeling of being in the foothills, but that cool mountain lake is actually ocean. The area features quiet nights with dark skies - no big city lights here. There is abundant wildlife - elk, deer, eagles. Bird watching is popular here, same with stargazing. A chill place to relax & recharge or inspire your work. Hiking & bike trails start in all directions from your door step. 7 minutes to center of town, beaches & all amenities. Kayak 2 minutes away. There is ample space to play or just sit back, light a fire and take in the spectacular view. The field is a spa for dogs. No bad days!

This unique tree-top cottage is located 110 steps into the clouds at the end of the road in the quiet village of Tuwanek. Enjoy complete privacy and solitude, and soak in the hot-tub perched at the top of the property. The cottage has one-bedroom and a sleeping loft, with comfortable bedding and sheets. Everything is provided including a well-stocked kitchen with all the cooking items you will need. The cottage is perfect for a romantic hideaway or a family holiday.

The space
You need to climb 110 steps from the road to the cottage, so we are unable to accommodate guests with mobility challenges. When you arrive we help you get oriented. Once you ascend to the top, you will be rewarded with a spectacular location, with no neighbours, a running creek and the most gorgeous moss covered slopes. The cottage has three separate, but connected cabins: a bathroom, one separate bedroom, and a sleeping loft above the living area, which is easily accessed with a pull-down ladder. The bedrooms have top of the line mattresses and bedding, helping you to get a great sleep. The kitchen has everything you could need, including a dishwasher, stove, microwave and full fridge. There is a bbq for your use on the deck. The property has a number of decks that are perfect for lounging on in complete seclusion. Watch sunsets over the Sechelt Inlet from the wrap-around decks, and watch eagles and osprey soar through the high tops of trees. Everything is provided except for beach and dog towels. Dogs are welcome for an additional charge of $50/stay, which we will ask you to pay when you arrive, or you can pay through Airbnb.
