ABOUT THE CABIN
Located on 11 acres of oceanfront property, this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom all wood cabin is rustic, but nice rustic. nestled beside a small stream, just a 10-minute walk to the private beach on an unpaved trail through this forested property. Careful on the trail as it can be slipperyThe cabin is bright and airy with lots of deck space and windows to enjoy both forest and ocean views. There is cellphone and WIFI service. There is a propane BBQ on the patio and fire-pit beside the cabin.

THE SPACE:
The main floor has a kitchen with a central island counter, double sink, full-sized fridge and stove, microwave, and a dining table with all the basics for preparing meals. Adjacent to the kitchen is a sizeable wrap-around deck to enjoy the sunsets, eagles, and other wildlife. Be careful on the deck as the planks are rough-cut cedar so it is uneven, and can be slippery when wet.
The main floor bedroom has a queen-size bed, an ensuite bathroom, and its own private deck to enjoy a morning coffee. The lofted master bedroom has a large soaker tub with views of the ocean and sunsets through the upper windows. The main floor and deck also enjoy ocean views.

The cabin is situated on 11 acres of oceanfront property 10 kilometers south of Lund, BC, on Atrevida Road. The cabin has parking beside it.

Bratty Catty Cabin is a recently renovated chalet in Powell River where guests can make the most of the garden and terrace. - "This place’s view was stunning. The cabin is exactly as pictured and cozy. The most important factors for us were that it was dog friendly and they had an amazing restaurant on site which was handy because there isn’t much around in terms of dining. This place is worth the drive and the hosts who live on site were accommodating but also gave you space. I would recommend this place to anyone going to the Powell river area" - "It is a fun little spot to enjoy the beautiful views of Okeover Arm and convenient to get to Lund to explore Desolation Sound. We had some rousing games of bocce on the lawn in front of the cottages. Others played badminton and cornhole. The A-frame was snug for 3 adult women but we all slept really well, albeit one on the couch. The loft was accessible with a ladder and was nice with the cross-breeze at night. There is no kitchen but upon request we got a kettle & it was nice to have a small bar fridge. The bathroom has a compost toilet and it’s important to make sure that it gets looked after if you’re staying for multiple nights. Scott was a friendly & generous host. We all enjoyed our dinner at the Laughing Oyster on our first night as well as breakfast on the third morning. "

DIRECTIONS TO PROPERTY:
Follow highway 101 North from Powell River townsite for about 12 kilometers to Atrevida Road. Go left on Atervida Road. Go about 350 meters down Atrevida Road until you see the driveway with sign 3575 on the left. Go left into driveway. Follow driveway up to the first cabin. There is parking right in front of the cabin. Be aware that Google maps shows the entrance on the wrong driveway. Just continue down until you see the 3575 sign-post.

The cabin is situated on 11 acres of oceanfront property 10 kilometers south of Lund, BC, on Atrevida Road. When you drive to the end of the property, you will see 3 cabins on the left. Your reserved cabin is the middle one. The cabin has parking beside it.

Welcome to the Blue Deer Den! Nestled in the heart of nature, our cozy cabin offers a private getaway for couples, small families, or solo adventurers seeking tranquility and a touch of the wild.

The cabin is walking distance to lush forest trails, a 5 minute drive to the beach or sunshine coast trail head, 10 minute drive to the lake, 15 minutes south of Lund, and 20 mins north of town.

The space
Bed: There is a cozy queen sized murphy bed, that folds up against the wall during the day to give you more space.

Kitchen: The kitchen is equipped with a mini fridge, toaster oven, electric countertop stove, kettle, French press, spices, coffee, tea, pots, pans, and dishes.

Bathroom: The bathroom has a small shower and a composting toilet. The composting toilet is easy to use, and we’ll give you instructions. There’s also an outhouse nearby if you want to go fully rustic!

Health & Well-being: This space has been designed with your highest well-being in mind. All of the bedsheets are made of organic cotton, and the windows are equipped with black-out curtains to ensure a good night’s sleep. We use only eco-friendly and fragrance-free cleaning products and detergents, prioritizing your health and the environment. The tap water is very pure and delicious, flowing from our deep well and filtered with a UV light.

Other things to note
Cell Service: Cell service is spotty, however wifi is available to keep you connected. An ethernet outlet is also available in the cabin for high-speed internet.
