The cabin features hardwood floors throughout the living space, with tile in the kitchen and bathroom. The luxurious bathroom features heated floors and a deep soaker tub for those that like to indulge in a bath. A full second set of towels, along with beach/ hot tub towels are provided.

The kitchen is outfitted to make cooking during your stay a breeze. All cookware and supplies are well kept and ready for your creations.

The Salal cabin is tech friendly - it is within cell service and has Telus wifi so you can stay connected.... but we won't tell anyone if you claim to be out of range;) There is a smartTV mounted above the fireplace offering direct access to Netflix and various apps.

The cabin was built for a couple’s retreat, with the ability to accommodate 4 guests in a pinch. The futon (which shares the same space as the king) folds into a double bed which works for many families. We do not recommend our cabin for 4 adults staying more than a couple nights. It is truly perfect for two.

Post and beam timbers shelter the cabin's exterior living space from the elements for year-round enjoyment. The private and carefully maintained hot tub welcomes an evening soak. A couple chairs and propane barbeque round out the deck.

The Salal cabin sits approximately 120' from the main home and is buffered by various trees and foliage. It is your own private retreat to enjoy.

Our neighbourhood is made up of large residential properties mostly tucked away in the trees. The Millstream area is unique due to its private rural setting while being only five minutes from town. Proximity to the Pacific Rim National Park (walking distance), and the Wild Pacific Trial trailhead is a fantastic bonus for those who love to explore.

The Pacific Rim is by nature very car dependant. There is no public transit and only one taxi available. We highly recommend you arrive with your own vehicle so you can take advantage of everything the area has to offer.
The trail linking Tofino and Ucluelet is now complete and paved. We are a couple hundred yards from the trail, which now allows for a much more enjoyable experience for those that like to explore by bicycle.

The hot tub is operational year-round and continues to receive proper attention after each departure. We follow provincial guidelines for sanitation and operation of the hot tub.

We do welcome one (1) well mannered pup pre reservation. It is the responsibility of the dog’s owner to keep their four-legged friend’s hair and fur off the linen and out of the hot tub. ** Please message us with the breed(s) and number of dogs prior to booking if you would like to bring more than one pup** Guests are responsible for any damage to the cabins, furnishings (including linens), and property caused by their pets. Just across from Calmwater Retreat lies the entrance to Ucluelet's renowned Lighthouse Loop Trail and Terrace Beach. Directions:
Once you arrive at the Ucluelet/Tofino Junction, turn left and follow Peninsula Road through downtown. Your cabin will be on the left at 1003 Peninsula Road, marked by a large Calmwater Retreat sign. The location may appear slightly off on maps, but it will be clearly labeled and is directly across from Terrace Beach.

Mid-season rates apply on winter long weekends and during the Christmas period.

Cancellation policy: A 100% refund is available for cancellations made more than 14 days before arrival and 50% for cancelations made 7 days before arrival. Please note that while both Airbnb and our website may list different policies due to preset options, this policy takes precedence.

There is only one open plan room,but it's a good size,the bathroom is roomy and the hot tub very nicely located. FLORENCIA BAY COTTAGE at Florencia Bay Retreat is a fully-equipped converted house-boat turned into a cottage with surrounding forest views and was newly renovated in 2022. The cabin is one of 4 that are located on 2.4 acres of old-growth spruce, hemlock and western cedar. This cabin showcases the natural beauty of the area. It is located just off the highway which allows for easy access to both Tofino and Ucluelet.

This unique cottage experience is perfect for explorers who want easy access to the Pacific Rim National Park and are within walking distance of Florencia Bay and a short 5 minute drive to the town of Ucluelet. Offering a unique experience this converted house boat has an endearing charm with the essence of untold stories from the sea.

This cottage is the perfect place to spend a Vancouver Island getaway, featuring a private deck nestled in the forest with a new hot tub located at the back of the cottage amongst the old growth trees. Florencia Bay Cottage features dramatic wood accents outside with a warmth and coziness on the inside. Upstairs sits a quaint bedroom with a king-size bed and a large window to view the beautiful old-growth forest. The main floor has the second bedroom with another king-size bed and a TV perfect for a movie night on a rainy day. The living room is a calming open space with brightness from the many windows throughout the Cabin. The couch pulls out to a queen-size bed, comfortable for an additional two guests. The kitchen is fully stocked to allow ease while preparing meals.
The kitchen island is a casual environment to eat at, or you can gather in the living room to enjoy mealtime while soaking in the views. There is one shared bathroom that has a shower/tub combination. The large claw-foot bathtub is perfect for enjoying a relaxing moment after a day of surfing or hiking one of Ucluelet's excellent trails.

Host Rules:
We’re in the exciting process of preparing for the addition of a fifth cabin on the property (completion, spring 2026). You may notice some light construction activity during the day as work progresses. We’ll do our best to keep any disruption minimal, and no work will take place in the evenings or on weekends.
Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.
Age min: must be 25 years or older to book.
Guest Limit: As per Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave.

During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.(no 1 night gaps allowed). If you receive a "host unavailable" message despite seeing availability, please contact us. Our booking system has specific rules and may require manual adjustments.

The cabin does not have a washer and dryer. There is a local laundry mat near by.

The cabin sits off the HWY so there is a potential for noise.

Pet Policy: Dog friendly after owner approval with a 2 dog max. Sorry no cats allowed!

This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.

- "Lovely accommodation with privacy, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, well located and maintained. When 6 people are staying it would be nice to have an extra comfy seat in the main room and 6 seats at the table (we were able to use the chairs from by the hot tub). There is a lot of light in the main room as curtains don’t cover the windows (not great for those sleeping on the sofa bed). Nice trail two doors down, very convenient for town. Would definitely visit again!"

EAGLE CABIN in UCLUELET is the perfect wilderness getaway offering beautiful forest views and is only a short walk to the water where you can view the inlet and harbor from over an acre of private waterfront the main property sits on. The 400sq ft. two-level log cabin was custom designed and positioned to capture a limited ocean and mountain view as best as possible. Eagle Cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed, a loft room with 2 single beds and a living room couch that pulls out to a double size bed and is perfect for those that do not want to climb stairs to the loft or for those that have mobility issues. The cabin has everything you need during your stay including a kitchen area stocked with all your cooking essentials, heated floors, and a covered private deck with full size gas BBQ.

Eagle Cabin features heated tile flooring throughout the main living area, a small cozy living room space with a TV that offers cable TV, Wi-Fi for those that need to work while vacationing and a full bathroom with luxurious local Salt spring Island shampoo, conditioner and body wash is also provided. Lose yourself in a veritable oasis of west coast nature. The entire property is over an acre of private, forest surroundings, spectacular waterfront at the entrance of the harbour, yet still just a short walk to the town center. Eagle cabin sits behind the main waterfront home and is surrounded by 3 other cabins which is perfect for large groups bookings or retreats. We are the last property before 30 acres of island forest that gives way to the open ocean towards Barkley Sound. Regular daily visits from eagles, sea lions, otters, seals and occasionally killer, humpback and gray whales. Keep an eye out for our resident deer family that grazes around the cabins.

We are also a short walk from kayak tours, fishing charters, the world-renowned Wild Coast Trail or several whale and wildlife tour outfits.

Important Notes:
Guest limit: 3-4 max. This cozy cabin is ideal for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) or a group of three adults (no ideal for 4 adults due to limited space).
Loft Access: The stairs leading to the loft are steep, making them unsuitable for young toddlers without supervision or for those with mobility issues. Additionally, the loft ceiling is low.
EV Charging: There is a Level 2 Tesla charging station on-site, shared among four cabins.
Laundry: Please be aware that the cabin does not have a washer and dryer. However, a laundromat is conveniently located nearby.
Waterfront Access: While the cabin itself is not directly on the waterfront, there is a small waterfront area just a few steps away where you can enjoy views of wildlife and passing boats. It’s located to the left of the main house.
Group Bookings: For larger groups, Eagle Cabin is situated on an acre of land along with three other cabins—Sitka, Nootka, and Orca—and the main house where the owners reside. Together, the cabins can accommodate up to 16 guests. If you’re interested in booking all the cabins for your group, please contact Tofino Vacation Rentals directly.
Dogs: We allow 1 dog. Dogs must be in a crate while left alone at the property. Sorry, not cats allowed!

Ucluelet is a small town surrounded by wilderness, so please do not leave any food outside!

There are parts along the drive in where there is limited reception and no gas stations or stores so try and fill up in Port Alberni. There are also grocery options when you arrive

There is a family of eagles located in the large tree above the cabin so please be mindful

Our host Bryan was remarkable and even for-warned us of road closures and traffic before our trip as well as checking in with us on a daily basis to ensure there were absolutely no issues. The view we saw in the ad photos were even better in person. The cabin setting is incredible and peaceful. The eagle’s nest right overhead with a young eagle was an absolute bonus. The place was clean and had everything you need to just kick back and enjoy the view. Would definitely recommend for anyone in need of a calm and serene getaway."
